Moving on to Rinna and the cocaine allegations. . . nice way to defame eight people, I was wondering if perhaps production didn't call Dorit and the others away so, Dorit and PK could dispense with the dead wood (the six guests) so  Rinna, PK, Dorit and Elliot could finish the conversation.  Certainly no one in their right mind (be it induced or otherwise) would believe in front of a camera crew the entire party would get up and go do cocaine in the bathroom.

I do think newbies have a difficult time with fourth wall issues even when it would bail them out of a situation.  I am hoping in the next few days one of the party guests will comment.

Regarding panty gate: I think maybe the other ladies thought it was funny whereas Dorit was being the asshole she's been to Ericka("aka her English humor")

I believe Ericka had been holding all her frustration in regarding Dorit and that's what the end result was. She had it coming, I would've done the same thing. But I would've stopped Dorit in her tracks the first time, I don't play that. IMO!

Team Erika STILL!

I only have one office story, but since it goes back 35 years, no one back then thought anything of it! I was on vacation, but stopped by office for my check! I was dressed in tennis gear and back in the 70's & 80's shorts were SHORTS! First the Adm. Asst asked the room "why is Jamie wearing stocking?" The big boss, a woman with huge glasses ran over and actually touched my legs and told the other woman "girl, these are his legs!" I was rather smooth and quite tanned I guess! Nothing came of it, but today I could have filed suit! lol! ;-)

I worked for an operating room and we would supply scrubs to the vendors to sit on the procedures.

The vendors would come and pick up the key, get a set of scrubs and go change in the locker room.

One day I was sitting with my back to the door when one of the reps comes in after her procedure. I turn around because she asked me a question and begins to peel off the scrub bottoms.

I think to myself, WTF is she DOING?

When she got them to knee level I caught a glimpse of the skin on her rear end and went blank, I made some kind of animal noise and turned back to my computer and she started to laugh like a maniac.

She walked over to the desk and I could feel the embarrassment working it's way up my neck to my head - I wasn't going to look at her! She kept telling me that it was OK for me to look at her and kept inching forward, trying to catch my eye.

Turns out she grabbed a set of XL scrubs and threw them on OVER her clothes -She was wearing a TAN pair of pants underneath that looked like her skin. We laughed so hard, one of the bitches from down the hall reported us for making noise!

That was just strange. Erica is one strange bird . Eileen bringing up Erica's son did not warrant such a twisted reaction. I think Erika started to see red when Eileen said Dorit didn't have malicious intent and she crossed over into the twilight zone. I'm not a big fan of Eileen but I actually felt bad for her.

Erika demanding Dorit apologize to her husband. You have embarrassed your husband a million times over just by being on this shit show, honey.  And how much crying do you do for your son when you're flying all over the world to perform your tacky second rate shows and video's. Stop with the dramatics, you already got the part on Y & R, no need to keep auditioning.

Amen ad hallelujah to that! ;-)

My mom was the QUEEN of one liners.

Not jokes, just tips to put things into perspective.

Two that come to mind for this episode?

"Things only get dirty/obscene when people make them dirty/obscene."

"Two needles will never prick each other."

And yet two pricks will needle each other.....

Rinna and her cocaine question may have been a product of her being an actor and desire to give them a good show.  I keep going back to an interview she gave, in her first season.  She liked Brandy because she was easy "to play off of."   There have been other comments eluding to this being a TV show, implying fiction, when asked about her behavior.  "It is a TV show guys!" was one response.  If it is job security she seeks, she has it!

ETA. She has even said she wants to give them a good show!

I assume Erika's son is in his mid twenties. And he is in law enforcement. I have sons around the same age, and although they love that I am a free spirit, I think they would be mortified if I tried to pass myself off as an "entertainer" of the EJ sort. Any mother of a cop would and should worry about them, but what did Erika go through every night during her son's childhood ??!!

I hope Erika and Rinna get boiled at the reunion. Nothing embarrasses Rinna though.

Erika pushing the idea that she is so fabulous makes me happy to know that underneath it all is a bitter, haughty, insecure as F woman.

Rinna and her need to bring ancient, random, and nastily phrased things up at dinner tables. Ridiculous.

And Erika with the overreaction. You all have said it all (that's what I get for missing the first showing, LOL!). But she really needs to take a step back and look at her behavior if she sincerely wonders why she--who outright SAYS she has a hard time trusting people and hates crying in public--comes off as cold to some people. If you keep most people at arms' length... you will come across as cold, especially to someone as "out there" as Dorit.

I think the Erika thing can be summed up pretty simply: she was drunk and everything seemed epically important at that moment.

I am not a fan of Rinna, but damn if I didn't laugh when she said Dorit was a downer "like this" and took a pill out of the bag.

As I watched with a delighted mixture of awe and horror, I kept thinking of alternate episode titles:

"The Ice Queen Melteth(DOWN)"

"(HUGE)Loose Lips Sink Ships"

"What Ever Happened to Erika Jayne?"

"Buddha Wept"

Everyone "brought it" last night except Our Lady of Perpetual Hugs and Intensity, Eden, who just stares unblinkingly and always looks like she's sucking on a lemon wedge.

Erika admitted she overreacted on WWHL and that is good enough for me.  I have warmed to her this season and chalked up her emotion to jet lag coupled with Dorit chewing on her face like a sewer rat.  Sometimes it is difficult to stay in control.  Rinna never does!

I wonder if this is true though, regarding job security. She seems very willing to be the villain, but villains don't last forever on these shows. I mean look at Brandi.

She figured out pretty quickly last season that she can't truly go up against LVP, but I don't think her attempts this year have been much smarter. I do think she can be entertaining at times, but damn she was a lot last night.

Ok that was a shit show.  I am going to have to do another viewing because this was off the chain.  Random thoughts:

Kyle: I would not have liked that ride with the see through floor either.  But unlike you all I would have dressed appropriately for the excursion.

Dorit:  I have not really liked her but there are times where I think she's ok.  She handled the dinner pile on very well.  There were several moments where I thought had it been me I would have gotten up and left after telling them (Lisa R and Erika) to fuck off.  I do think she was belaboring pantygate too much trying to make a bigger deal out of it.  I think it has less to do with Erika than getting a storyline.  BUT at some point you have to take someone at their word that things are fine (ERIKA!).  I thought it was lame she was dissing the glam squad when she had her own.  PK is icky.  I also think she was trying to stir something with the bag of pills because she brought it up too many times.  But I don't see an evilness to her.  Just naive and hungry.

Eileen is pretty boring for the most part.  Nice of her to go with LVP to her Yulin deal.  She needs to cut Rinna off and quit defending her blindly.  I think she was horrified at the coke accusation.  I really felt awful for her when Erika ripped her a new one. Which leads me to...

Erika:  I think I understand WHY pantygate was an issue for her.  It seems like she has some pretty hefty rules with her husband and she is afraid of getting into trouble.  I thought her treatment of Dorit was pretty bad and it seemed like Dorit was sincere that she was sorry once she saw it from Erika's point of view.  I also think the other ladies were giving her mixed messages about the situation (laughing about it when they should have told Dorit how mad Erika was).  Then we have Eileen make a poor choice of words and her FRIEND Erika treats her horribly.  I get being mad but jezus christ!  Maybe don't go for blood (I know that interaction would make me change how I act with said 'friend').  Then no matter what Dorit OR Eileen say in their respective apologies it just is not enough.  Erika is THE MOST ungracious person when it comes to apologies given to her.  I am thinking Erika is wound tighter than a drum.  I was starting to like you Erika, now I am not so sure.  You went for the throat of your ONE true fan on the show.  Friends don't do that to each other.  You can fight and define boundaries but she was unnecessarily cruel.  Wonder if that (cruelness) is something she picked up from her mom when she talks about her mom being hard on her?

Lisa Rinna:  Man she is a prime shit stirrer.  Dorit and Erika were talking and this human suction cup would not shut the fuck up!  Her jumping in and taking over them was perplexing and maddening.  It had nothing to do with her.  She seems like she just can't abide by not being part of the situation.   Bragging how she got in Dorits face?  That just shows she has zero self control.  I gave her the benefit of the doubt after Amsterdam, started giving her the side eye last year, now I think she is shit.  I can't stand Kim Richards so perhaps that is why I didn't hold her more accountable in Amsterdam.  Last year the whole deal was about a conversation OFF THE SHOW so while I took LVP/Kyles side more, it was a toss up in my mind how it went.  Now I am more on LVP's side since we have seen Lisa R work.  How no one tossed her over the junk boat is beyond me.  Then the coke accusation and the do you trust your husband question.  Very inappropriate.  I am very anxiously awaiting her getting her ass handed to her at the reunion.  She was so smug and condescending.  When LR brought up the do you trust your husband question and Kyle kinda lost it I was watching Kyles face while she was speaking about Amsterdam and the husband questions going badly it made me think Kim was actually onto something.  I am thinking infidelity has visited the Rinna/Hamlin home and Kyles look was a veiled threat about are you sure you want to go down that path?

Again, this is going to take a second viewing but this was epic.  It told me Lisa Rinna is worse than I previously thought and Erika is cruel.  Eileen wants to be a good friend and ends up looking like fool (both Lisa R and Erika have abused her kindness).  LVP trying to stand up for Dorit without being her guard dog was nice.  Kyle was just happy she was on the outside but her expressions were gold.  Eden being silent was a gift from baby jesus.

Erica is an absolute hoot.  Especially her mini-drag race moments with her queens.  "I am serving you..." [All props to RuPaul, but his show dialogue is endlessly repetitive and dull (and every Housewife repeats the same endless dull slang -- dull in 1970 in "Paris Is Burning")] -- Samurai Barbie is not an aesthetic, it's a drag queen look.

Glam squad aside, her visit home illuminated Erica's ideal look:  Daisy Mae goes to Manhattan.  The Daisy Mae is always there.

Fuck you Erika. I understand the worry for your son, but your reaction was way OTT. You made me feel sympathy for Eileen and I'm not sure how to handle that. BTW...you looked like hot buttered ass at that dinner.

Really fuck you, Rinna. This episode cemented your place as my most hated Howife ever. You disgust me more than Tamra, Gretchen, Madame Dubrow, Kenya, Jillzy, Aviva, and Brandi combined. I hope your ass is nailed to the wall at the reunion. Also, whipping out the baggie during your TH wasn't cute or funny. It was fucking juvenile.

I really liked that red wire wrapped around Dorit's ponytail.

Um, I am gonna have to steal this.  I will give appropriate attribution when doing so.

Comparison between Kim on Poker Night and Erika in Hong Kong:  http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-beverly-hills/season-7/blogs/having-deja-vu-theres-a-reason-this-hong-kong  Major difference is Kim was dealing with the impending death of her best friend and father of her first child and her mentally ill son who was having a lot of problems.  Erika just doesn't listen.

But no one used those words or anything close to them to describe Erika at any point.

As far as her being worried about Tom's reaction, she was lying, big time lying IMO. She didn't bother to tell him about pantygate when it happened or what happened in HC either. According to her on WWHL tonight, he only found out about it watching the show, she never told him squat.

Erika used those words, specifically (whore, slut). Which means it's something she fears others or her husband may think about her already. That was my whole point about planting the seed.

Sadly, no. Nothing will ever beat Scary Island. Erica, unhinged as she seemed for those few moments, had nothing on that cuckoo Kelly Killoren Bensimone back in the day.

I don't think anyone at the table, alarmed as they might have been at Erica's display, feared for their safety. Almost all the women (mostly a pregnant Bethanny), were terrified of and for Kelly by the end of Scary Island. Production escorted her home - a fact Kelly denies to this day.

Erica was the picture of calm when you compare her to Kelly's Scary Island meltdown. She was literally jabbering nonsense by the end - "Al Sharpton", "satchels of gold" - I could go on. At least Erica could a pick a specific narrative to freak out over.

What I mean is, anyone who would call her names would be doing it off the strength of her alter ego. They don't need to know she sometimes goes sans panties to come to that conclusion.

Scary Island was unbelievable. The moment that Sonja realizes that Kelly was emotionally unstable and convinces the other women to stop arguing with Kelly was unreal. You can see them getting it one by one. And even as they start expressing it, Kelly is still arguing with them until the women go mostly silent and Kelly starts thanking them. I fully believe that Kelly had absolutely no clue that the other women thought she needed mental health care even though they all said as much to her face.

I wonder if Tom DOES care.

I've seen him be a condescending prick to her, and she just took it. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, hunty. I consider Erika to be a loose cannon with more mommy issues than hair extensions, but you don't have a lifestyle like Tom has without having an ego the size of Mars (where, incidentally, Rinna can go back to. Anytime now.), and I wonder if she sort of knows her place with him. If she wants to keep dressing in expensive, UGLY shit and have a crew of yes-queen sycophants following her around, she'd better stay in her lane type of deal? And that deal does NOT include showing her junk unless she's getting paid to do so? Perhaps her vitriolic blow-out is the result of pent up tension. If pantygate happened to me, my husband would laugh it off. Because there's no reason for him to suspect me, it clearly would be an accident, and I'd be embarrassed but laugh it off.

Unless there were prior reasons for Tom to be this upset about this issue........ahem

exactly this. What I was trying to express in my earlier comments.

Also I get the feels that the two MIGHT have a Kelsey Grammer situation happening, except an agreed upon arrangement. Like they are splitting and he gave her this opportunity to be on RHOBH to get her name out there so she can support herself since they have an ironclad prenup (I assume, with him being a lawyer). But the agreement was a clean split, but don't you f'in embarrass me on TV and I'll agree to help you out a bit with money if you need it.

Of course I'm just throwing stuff out there to see if any of it sticks :D :D

It is easier for Erika and Rinna to put words in Dorit's mouth to further their agendas, which essentially they are victims of gossip.  They are the ones creating the gossip.

I don't think EJ alone is the reason she's worried about people assuming she's a whore/slut. I think she fears this for a combination of reasons

  • married an old dude. PEople assume gold digger and everyone knows that gold diggers aren't typically faithful
  • blonde, pretty and fit
  • husband never around, travels alone. Bored housewives get frisky
  • now add in the career of being a sexual creature and having to always make sure people understand that that is a CHARACTER and she is not like that in her day-to-day (imagine men assuming she's a free sexual spirit when they meet her through her Erika Jayne personality and assume they can "hit that")

It's probably all that. Something nobody actually said to her, but something she assumes people think when they first meet her, based on all the above.

Sorry, quoted the wrong response above. Meant to reply to this one
