The trailer is definitely less intriguing than last season's (which featured the rollover in the desert) but I'm still in (O, OC, I jest cain't quit ya!) I had hoped we were done with Cancergate but Peggy's info on the Bravo site says that she underwent "... a double mastectomy when doctors recently found a lump in her breast." So I fear we'll see something like:

SCENE: Waterfront restaurant. Tamra and Peggy enter, air kiss and sit.

Tams: So how are you doing?

Pegs: I'm fine -- I'm a little tired, what with all my responsibilities as a hard-working wife and mother and everything else.

Tams: Have you met the girls yet? (NOTE: this refers to the other wives, not Tams' most recent implants, which will be on full display for this scene)

Pegs: Yes, and everyone is so nice and welcoming.

Tams: (archly) Be careful of Vicki.

Pegs: Vicki? Really? Why?

I do not need a whole season about cancergate, but I do not want the women to forget about it either. I was never a big fan of Vicki. I found her annoying more often than not. After the whole cancer scam I vehemently dislike her. I do not know. TPTB can try to redeem Vicki (and Kelly) all they want but it will not work on me. Honestly with Heather out and Vicki and Kelly still around I am not really looking forward to this season. I will tune in and see where it goes, but if this turns into the Vicki/Kelly redemption tour I am out.

I don't recall her confirming that she wasn't coming back. Some time ago she hinted that she was coming back by saying in her instagram that maybe we would see her mom being grandma on the next season. That was long before she was invited back.  I think that was a combination of wishful thinking and attempt to gain support to show Bravo.

She did make a statement at the end of last season that she may not want to bring her baby into the drama. I believe that she said that as a back up reason in case she was not asked back. She could say it was her decision to not come back. 

The plan was to not bring Meghan back and bring in a new person. The other person didn't pan out so Meghan was asked  back by default.

I can't believe Kelly would imply that Meghan is a bad mother when Kelly and Michael spent all of last season making a credible case for why a court should appoint Jolie as the guardian of every adult in that house. I initially hated what Kelly did to the show, but I kind of like that she is back namely because it pisses off Tamra and Shannon. I am so tired of their self-righteousness and toxic anger, so anything that irks them is fine by me. Especially since they got such flak for how they treated Kelly in Ireland.

Re: Shannon's face fillers....after watching the trailer for the new season Shannon looks like she had her belly injected with filler too (I jest!) She's gotten huge. I'm not a doctor (but I like to pretend I am sometimes!) but her stomach looks like a "booze gut". And I remember the first season shannon came on the show she was drinking a lot....tall glass of Grey Goose vodka with a splash of soda IIRC.

I do hope we get to see her new home inside and out.

Well, Brianna has lupus and Vicki gave birth to Brianna so that means that it's actually Vicki who has lupus.

Why does OC get to go to my dream places???? Last year it was Ireland, and I was lucky enough to take my first ever overseas trip to the Emerald Isle just 2 months ago. But I don't have any current plans to visit Iceland (or even the next town over) any time soon, so I'm going to get seriously pissed watching them act like a pack of wild hyenas in such a beautiful place. Ugh.

If she is heavier because of  stress or drinking too much that is sad. If she is heavier because she is cutting back on the striving to be as thin as she was in he 20's and 30's and is not chasing an elusive number anymore I'm ok with that. You can carry some extra weight and still be healthy.  If she is happier 10-20 pounds heavier and it isn't impacting her health isn't that better in the long run. I think so. YMMV.

If I'm eating alone I try and eat healthy for the most part. I'll eat what others eat when I am around them, no restrictions except usually portion control (occasionally not even that) or I may have the occasional healthy choice because it sounds good. I lightly work out and I'm a little heavier than my best but I'm happier. I don't feel deprived and my weight is maintained just above my best rather than constant yo-yoing between my "best but feeling deprived" and my heaviest . 

I do think if she cut back on the grey goose even by half she wouldn't look as bloated.

However, the change looked REALLY dramatic to me. That's why I was concerned. And, just from what we've seen, she DOESN'T seem to be happy about it.

She has gotten heavier over the year. I first noticed it when she was on WWHL and the current episode shot earlier in the year was shown earlier that night.

In regard to her unhappiness, that's what I don't get. Be happy in the body that you are in as there is always somebody worse off than you and would trade "issues" with you in a second . People can look healthy on the outside but their innards are another matter.

And this is part of my problem with Shannon. She knows that if she continues to be on this show, she will have to deal with Vicki. It's like, what does she want at this point? If Shannon truly feels so scandalized by Vicki, then walk away from the cameras! It's what Dina Manzo did after the first season of RHoNJ. Hell, even Lydia did it after season 8 (she says a quiet voice told her it was best not to return). But if Shannon wants to continue to reap the rewards of being on TV, she needs to suck it up and realize that - for now, at least - Vicki is the one remaining original cast member of this show who has been a cornerstone of the cast for over 10 years! She's not going anywhere anytime soon and Shannon has to deal with her. There is something so draining about Shannon staying in front of the cameras so she continue to bitch and moan about Vicki while cozying up to Ms. She-Devil herself Tamra Judge.

I don't like Briana in the sense that I would be want to friends with her, but I do feel for her. I think she has so much bottled rage from being Vicki's daughter and it leaks out in passive-aggressive ways. I don't know that she ever realized that she has a right to have her own feelings. Still, she is an adult now, so it's on her to find her happiness if she chooses to do so!

I don't love Brianna, but I don't loathe her the way a lot of people do. I think the deck was majorly stacked against her, being raised by Vicki. I think she really struggles as an adult to have a relationship with her mother, with appropriate boundaries. I do think she seems like a good mother, and I was very sorry to hear her about Lupus diagnosis.

If I was Shannon and I had to choose between Vicki/Kelly or Tamra, I would choose Tamra. I am ashamed to admit it but last season Tamra really did not bother me. Though it could be that I dislike Vicki and Kelly so much that Tamra almost looks good in comparison.

IIRC, I think Brianna casually mentioned it at the end of last season or at the reunion.  I seem to remember the discussion while they were moving back to the OC.  And these magazines have a 2- to 3-month lead time.

Well, I think the greater point (at least as far as I'M concerned is), Lauri was accusing Brooke's of hanging out with a pornstar (porn people, whatever). And there was this whole "clutching of pearls" attitude about it, like he was up to something really salacious. But she only knew.....because he daughter travels in the same circles. Frankly, I don't give a damn, but it did seem a bit hypocritical, to me. But I'll admit it'll always be "bitch eating crackers" when it comes to Laurie. I find her utterly vile.

And my apologies if I offended anyone in the porn industry. Strippers too. I don't choose my friends according to their business profession. Heck, I used to repossess cars for a living. LOTS of people hated me. But my job had nothing to do with my character or heart. 

So getting back to the OC HoWives..Brianna made a comment on the last reunuion show (?) about how much she approved of Vicki's new boyfriend. I guess she didn't dig too much into his life. And I think Meghan P.I. was into her pregnancy so she most likely had no time to investigate!

Yea, I always hate when they do that "I just met you" business, as if they haven't watched/kept up with the seasons. Lydia knew full well that comment would be perceived negatively. But Shannon needs to really check herself. She's been one of the few I actually kind of liked/could tolerate on OC, but I don't think this show and the exposure has been good for her at all. She's coming apart at the seams.
