Looks like the lid on that wooden chest is being held up with friction hinges, I have a cedar chest with those type of hinges and I wouldn't trust a baby in the same room with a 3 yr old, Bode has his hand on the edge and if Ember were to lean on it or something similar Bode could be seriously hurt.... mine once slammed shut from our cat jumping up

I have another chest that has a locking stick that you place in a slot to keep the lid from closing but I don't see anything like that in Auj's pic.

Dear God, that hanging thing is beyond a horrible choice.

I can't even...

Plus the toy chest with the lid... a hazard on several levels.

But these are the same parents who have roaring fires in Ember’s bedroom, without a fire screen.  And they drive the kids in that crappy VW van around their property without seatbelts.  And they think skiing with a baby strapped to Odd’s chest is perfectly cool. All their activities and posts are about their hipster doofus vibe and Insta aesthetic.

Since they aren’t regulars on the show I tend to steer clear of reading about them or focusing on them.   However, their flagrant disregard for their children’s safety, displayed by them on the internet, has caught my attention.  I don’t care about their work, projects, house, philosophy, etc, but I do mind that they repeatedly broadcast their children’s safety being put in danger.  So do Tori and Zach.....it’s appalling.

I do find myself curious why Auj thinks she's special for not watching Friends? I mean, its a show that ended what, 20 years ago, and was basically pleasant fluff. I think less of Audrey because she's a fan of The Bachelor.

Oh, I also think less of her because she no longer watches The Bachelor because her husband said no and she's ok being second in a marriage to a lazy idiot.

Same. I don’t mind Amy, but she really does need to improve those videos. Audrey on the other hand.....

Yeah, at least, I get some comedic value out of Amy’s videos, Audrey is just insufferable, you can throw Jeremy in with that, except Jeremy seems lazy as well.  I don’t believe in any of these products Audrey shills, but Jeremy seems like he spends a lot of time fixing/building things that other people have to come behind and fix for real.

And these two - with their frequent pictures of them out skiing, etc. - had the audacity to get a government loan to keep their "small business" afloat during the pandemic.

1. Of course the kids won't be in public school. They might learn things that Mom and Dad can't cope with.

2.  I doubt they had to do very much to get out of their contract after the second book tanked.

3. I tire of the disingenuous whining about social media. Their careers are based off of social media. If they don't like being on social media, they have the power to cut the cord. Instead, they whine and moan how they hate social media as they post and post and post on social media.

I think they must be making tons of money from the young living oil business in addition to whatever money Jer was entitled to from being on the show as a child.  Auj’s family seems to be quite wealthy so maybe she has some kind of inheritance as well.

I wonder if she thought the “story of us” journal counted as the third book but the company rejected it so they self published?

Jeremy just posted on an Instagram story that one year ago on his birthday they put in an offer on the north side of Roloff farms and the offer was not accepted.  Strange to word it that way, I am sure there is more to it than that, it is your family’s farm not strangers who would  just reject your offer because of the money.  The point was that they put in another offer for a different property again near his birthday (which is today) and it was also not accepted.  He said they will continue to search.

But that's probably what happened and he was likely wanting to save face and embarrassment that his daddy didn't give him the farm the way he's bragged will happen for years.

Is there more to it? I don't think there needs to be more to it - I think Matt isn't giving away the property for free. He's not ready to retire, and Matt still wants to do the show and realistically, the show isn't going to happen without the farm. Matt's also never struck me as someone who puts family above personal profit - Jacob was molested by show producers and Matt's (and the family's response, I am fair) has been to continue to do the show and to say nothing other than mild platitudes.

The farm property is a major asset and needed for filming. Amy ultimately got 1.5 million (approximately)  for half the farm. I sure can't see Matt selling his precious for less than 3 million and would likely want more... and while I think Jer and Auj make a good living on their various MLM scams, I don't think they've got that kind of income or credit.

If they genuinely want a farm property, they might need to consider leaving their neck of the woods. Nothing will be cheap in their area.

Can we send them deeper in the woods somewhere ???  Maybe a local with a Bigfoot ???

I think he wants to control the narrative - so "Jeremy and Auj didn't buy the farm" isn't presented by just Matt, who will no doubt have an explanation that makes Matt look like the hero.

Not judging Matt for that btw - at the end of the day, it's his farm, but my guess is that Jeremy wants his version of events to be out there.

And yes, he's trolling for sympathy because he's a 31 year little baby bitch boy who still thinks Daddy not giving him his way on his birthday is relevant.

I think the rift between Zach and Jer is about the farm because it began right around that time.

Jer and Auj thought they’d be handed the farm on a silver platter but Matt knows that he needs the farm to keep TLC interested and the thing that interests TLC the most is Zach and his cute little family.

in one of the previews we see Zach and Tori talking about how great it would be to live in the farm house and raise their kids on the farm.

TLC isn’t interested in Jer and Auj because they’re not little people and neither are their children.

This would turn on a dime if Jer and Auj were willing to be filmed.

They aren’t willing to film because they don’t want to be second banana to Zach and his family.

I don’t know why Jer and Auj want property, half the time they don’t mow their suburban yard. They are on vacation the other half of the time. Property requires upkeep as Jer would know. Matt has had people working the farm for him because it would be impossible all on his own.

I'm pretty sure the decision not to keep filming them for the show was TLCs . . . not theirs.

Audrey is more than willing to be filmed, even trying to get Chip and Joanna Gaines to ask J&A to be on their Magnolia Network.  Sheesh.  C&J have probably never heard of them.  Plus - J&A are only interesting to themselves.

If both boys want the farm why didn't one of them ask to rent the family home?  I forget who Matt said is renting it now but he is building another home for himself and maybe Caryn?

They both own homes locally so it seems like a waste of money. Matt hasn't yet broken ground on his "dream home" on the farm.

That would be a step in the right direction.  Maybe they think Matt will expect something out of them if they are there?

I wouldn't want to be at Matt's beck and call, so I can't blame them. And Matt's pretty clearly shown with how sharing the property with Amy went that he doesn't share well.

Honestly, one of the reasons I started getting a hotel room when visiting my parents and not staying with my parents was that its nice to be able to get away.  And my parents aren't Matt level difficult parents.

Glad to see the ice is melting.  She also wished Tori a happy birthday last week. Hate seeing twin brothers and their families on the outs.

Ember is a very sweet child, she often hugs and grasps the hands of other children that she’s playing with and she’s always very kind and loving with Jackson... they’re so cute together. ❤️

Originally the blonde lady (I don’t recall her name) who took over Caryns job on the farm was renting it but I think it was just a short term rental for a few months while her home was being built so I’m not sure if she’s still living there or if she’s in her own home now.

In Auj’s latest insta story she says she works 1.5 days a week on average.  I’m guessing Jer may work less than that? How again would they manage “property”?

Wow, that’s a lot less than I was expecting. Is that across all of her jobs (Young Life, podcast, etc.)? Doesn’t she have a nanny too?
