I'm assuming for friends & relatives she would just lie and say she was there to offer emotional support, not as a midwife. As long as she isn't paid for her services, Jill can do anything she wants, so can Vanessa. I work in a state where lay midwifery is not legal. What the lay midwives do is either claim that they don't charge for their medical services (and have their clients back them up) or claim that any fees they charge are for counseling or childbirth classes or labor support; none of which require a license. Happens all the time. Since Oklahoma doesn't license lay midwives, I presume the situation is similar to where I live (Ohio as if no one hasn't already figured it out); if Vanessa or Jill were to specifically charge for delivery or prenatal care; they could be charged with practicing medicine without a license. Popular Post BitterApple April 18, 2018 Popular Post Share April 18, 2018 (edited) For those of you who weren't able to see Derick's Instagram story, someone posted it on Pickles. I just watched and man, the change-up in Michelle's personality when she realized the camera caught her scolding Jenni was hilarious. Also, the TTH is an absolute pigsty. I get that they're packing for a trip, but I also think TLC paid cleaning crews to go in and make the place presentable for filming. The house and the yard look really rundown now that the gravy train has left. I'm surprised they allowed Jill onto the compound in pants. What if that puts sinful thoughts into the heads of the Littles? Next thing you know, Hannie's asking to play sports and Jenni's telling her brothers to pack their own damn bags. Heathen April 18, 2018 Share April 18, 2018 Jill's hair looks like mice are nesting in it. Wash your hair and brush it, you pig. I feel like issuing a PSA to every pregnant woman in any state Jill might visit that people risk their lives, and their children's lives, if they allow Jill anywhere near their deliveries. But if they're hiring Venessa the defrocked midwife or Jill the never-licensed midwife, they're probably too stupid to realize how dangerous those two are. 10 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/4651-jill-derick-the-kids-moving-on/page/676/#findComment-4247775

Popular Post graefin April 19, 2018 Popular Post Share April 19, 2018 When you think about it, given how Jill was raised (in a cult) and grew up (on a TV show), what we're seeing of her life as an independent adult makes total sense in its consistency. JB and Michelle shoehorned all their kids into these cookie-cutter existences to such an extreme that when it's time for annual birthday congratulations, they can't even describe each child in terms of individual personality traits. There's no deviation from their "norm" or variation allowed, lest your heart and mind falls prey to the devil. I'm sure we can't underestimate how hard they've driven home this point, from what we've seen of the family. So is it any wonder that when it comes to other areas of life, Jill lacks the ability to deviate from her original plan (e.g., home birth even when things are going wrong; walking an hour to Chick-fil-A in the hot sun) or show any sort of flexibility in thought? Jill's also never had to come up with interesting story lines on her own or do her own editing. TLC producers have always planned the concepts for each episode and come up with the questions asked in the talking heads, as well as cobbled together the hours of footage they gathered to create a compelling show. Jill's job was simply to be present and do as she was told. When she's forced to be responsible for the "back end" of production as well as be at the forefront, what you get is the mess that is the Dillard Family website. 30 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/4651-jill-derick-the-kids-moving-on/page/676/#findComment-4251041

floridamom April 19, 2018 Share April 19, 2018 Thanks, BitterApple and all you great people here who helped direct me to that video. I viewed it. I agree the house is a mess. I also heard Michelle raise her voice when she said "DON'T". They she instantly went to sugary sweet fake. It's obvious to me that those children really don't enjoy being filmed, for TV or personal stuff. They shunned the camera...all, except for Michelle, of course. The TV show they had was to feed their parents' egos AND to stuff their pockets with the money from it, clearly. None of them miss 'the limelight' except for J B. and Michelle. 22 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/4651-jill-derick-the-kids-moving-on/page/676/#findComment-4251581
