Shall we play Where in the World Are the Dullards? Derick posted the pic below yesterday, so they were likely there on Saturday, not Silver Dollar City. This is more in line with Jana being pictured backstage with Benessa's kids in Ohio on Saturday (pics apparently on Tumblr, a place I have no clue how to navigate). The SDC pic is probably from about this time last week at the beginning part of the #babymoon, or even the trip before that when Benessa went to Waco and Laredo.

So where is Izzy?  They can't have him in the photo?

Oh, thank you, I didn't notice before. Now I just wish I didn't see it! That definitely looks like a milk leak.

LOL, sorry... I have a thing about stains on clothes.  Once I notice one it's all I can see.  They look especially bad in photos, I've found.  (Interesting aside:  apparently people are now discovering with picture refinements such as "4D" television, that the picture quality is almost *too* good.  It's adding in all kinds of continuity-type flaws that people heretofore didn't have sharp enough eyes to see, like "one minute Peter O'Toole's Lawrence of Arabia will have a face drenched in sweat; the next cut, he'll be completely dry", etc.)

How can anyone think that looks good. Jill is neither modest or tasteful in that get up. If anyone, SHE should invest in a large, elegant maternity collection. She'll get good use out of it over the next 25 years or so. She really looks like a slob. Those awful cheap, thin stretchy NOT maternity tops are the worst. It looks more like she has a 19 pound Thanksgiving turkey under there.  She really needs to deliver with proper assistance in a medical facility......but who am I kidding? I worry about that child though.

Why can't she just borrow a few maternity frocks from Michelle?  I'm sure Michelle still has many pregnancy outfits....just in case.

I also worry about the new baby.  I mean, I was bigger with my second child than my first, but she does look awfully big for still having a few weeks to go.  Although that might have something to do with the skintight, modest shirt she's wearing.

What prompted Dreck to cut the man-bun?  He's lost that crunchy, Jim-Bob defying look.  While he looks much healthier in that picture, I was kind of hoping he'd grow his hair longer than his wife's.

I am perplexed by these women...they profess to be modest but they wear the tightest clothes possible.  I am not particularly modest but I would not be caught dead in that outfit because it reveals all except pubic hair lol.

Girl needs decent maternity wear.

Similar to the Sister Wives, who also profess modesty but wear tops so tight they might as well be made from sausage casings.

I cannot fathom how those tight tops can possibly be comfortable in the heat and humidity, while your internal pregnant thermostat is turned up to 11.  Give me a loose, sleeveless tank top any day over a shirt that clings everywhere it touches.  Yuck.  And also, gross.

I keep wondering if Jill has the sense to be scared.  Part of me feels very sorry for her.  I had a rough first delivery and when I thought I was going into labor with the second one a few weeks before she was due, I panicked and sat down and cried my eyes out.  I was so afraid.  This was with a hospital birth plan and actual medical care.  If I were Jill knowing how difficult the first time was and being pressured to keep up with my mother and sister having a home birth without real medical assistance, I would be beside myself scared.  Of course, I wouldn't be in that situation.

Well, I think lots of us heathens are afraid for her and her baby, but I'm sure our concern counts in Duggardom (Duggar-dumb!).

If I remember correctly some of Michelle's births (besides Josie) were hospital births.  So why this obsession among the daughters (and Anna) for home births?  Are they trying to one up Michelle?  And in this day and age I cannot  believe  they are apparently not getting any prenatal care (or minimal care  at best).  Jill, as a "midwife" should know how important that is.  If she had any kind of proper midwife training she would know the risks involved with a VBAC.  I pray for Jill and Samuel Scott every day for a safe delivery and healthy baby and it horrifies me that they are so stupid to put her and the baby's life at risk like this.

Does Giant White Baby translate to Chi Chi? Maybe that's why Jill calls Izzy that.

Does she seriously do that? Chi chis are slang for breasts in Mexico. More like saying boobies than tits, but I wouldn't call a baby boy (or girl) Chi Chi. I'd think CA Spanish slang isn't too far off from Mexican Spanish slang. Dumbass Jill strikes again.

(Don't know why but I think the word 'tits' is gross. Kind of like 'piss'.)

I think it is Chu-chu or Chu-chi. Maybe.

Jill really likes to show off her extensive vocabulary of Spanish, doesn't she? She has at least three words. ?

Michelle (and all the Duggar married girls have been extraordinarily lucky so far with their births (with the exception of Josie).  Their luck is due to run out I fear.  I am a fellow Christian (Catholic however, so they probably consider me a heathen) and I look upon all the prenatal care, hospital care, etc. as blessings from God to help women give birth safely.  If she was in the backwoods somewhere then fine, give birth without a doctor or a properly educated midwife in attendance, but for goodness sake she is living in a town with hospital care and real doctors and or midwifes available.  Why not avail yourself of their services?  If she is too deluded to do so then Derrick should certainly see that she does.  Does he want to become a single father?? Do they want a potentially severely handicapped child born to them?  I am all for trusting God but for goodness sake I think he expects you to use the advanced medical care available to us now.

Actually, only three (or maybe four?) of Michelle's births were home births. We discussed that somewhere around here, I think last year. And someone had the deets. For Michelle, home births were the exception, and hospital (doctor-attended) births the norm.

I think the current fad for home births among the Duggarlings (Anna, Jill, Jessa), as has been discussed here before, has roots in several things. It's kind of a fundie thing right now, and medical-attended births (hospital or clinic), I assume, cost a lot. A lot more than young fundies can probably pay for out of pocket, and I'd bet the rent that none of the Duggarlings have health insurance worth spit, if they have it at all.

Actually from what I've read it's better try to get to a hospital if you live far away. (unless the baby is almost there).  There are other more creditable people who repeat Ben and Jessa's  "at least we can get to the hospital if we need it".  (I also think under different circumstances (like education, or  a different family) Jessa would absolutely stick to hospitals.)

Anyway some of my Catholic friends are starting to talk about homebirths.  I do think it's a generational thing to some extent.

Maybe this is their secret fantasy! Heading to the well air-conditioned prayer closet after making this there is not enough brain cleaners in the world to erase this image out of my mind statement.

It is weird... I know someone (eww) with that fetish (I apologize in advance) and that is how I know.  Clothes like that make it better.  Those pictures will be saved.  LOL.  Or maybe  not.

Eww.

Its choo choo.  It bugs the living crap out of me.  Probably because its Jill.  She has reached that point with me sadly.

It totally is (gosh I sound like Jill lol). The "in" thing right now is "crunchy moms": if you didn't birth at home, eat the placenta, make your own baby food (vegan preferably) and co-sleep, you're lesser than the crunchy mom elite. Being super fit during pregnancy is also in; the most elite moms ran 5ks  a week before giving birth and have what looks like a tiny beer gut at 38 weeks pregnant, and go back to washboard abs within a week postpartum.

The tide really started turning this way with "The Business of Being Born", but was further bolstered by the rise of social media, especially YouTube and Instagram; there's a whole niche of mommyvloggers/"media influencers" who are making money hand over fist for just how far they will go in their plight for superhuman mommy martyrdom.

I think part of it is insurance, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't covered.  The major reason, IMO, however, is because TLC pays them based on what they are able to film and a regular hospital, in addition to the hassles and inconvenience of having to get signed releases from staff and patients; will not usually allow unfettered access to all areas to film whatever and whenever they want.  I work for a major hospital system in the Midwest (call it The Believeland Cynic) and the policy throughout the system is that there is to be absolutely no filming of births, even by the parents themselves.  Still photos only until after the delivery and everything is ok.

If the Duggar daughters went to a hospital to deliver, they wouldn't have as much 'intimate' footage to see the network.

Celebrity culture is a big part of it too. There's a whole performance art around pregnancy happening with celebrities today that "real world" mommies are trying to live up to.

In high school, there was a guy in my class whose Mexican grandmother shamed them for going to Chi-Chi's restaurant, because she thought it was like Hooters. Nothing you could say or do would convince her it was just a generic Mexican family restaurant chain.

Anyway..........Jill does carry big and has big babies, but I do wonder if she counted incorrectly and is farther along than she thinks. She's not smart.

I saw a guy at the hospital parking lot today who could have been Derick brother's twin when I was heading to the hospital building for my physical therapy session. It is spooky when I see someone or something that reminds of be of the Duggar clan.

That's so funny because I saw a Derelict semi-lookalike at Taco Bell last night. He was tall, lean and had the same hair color as the Dullard, but this guy managed to make grunge and a man bun look hot. I admit I had an impure thought or two.

I saw a pg lady leaving the library today in a really cute blue eyelet top with cap sleeves, it was fitted but not tight and my first thought was Jill needs that shirt

We've been speculating in this thread about whether Jill will be sensible and go to the hospital to give birth. In one of her talking heads last night, she commented on how easy this latest birth was for Jessa and she hopes the Lord will give her an easy birth this time. I'm pretty sure she's planning to try for a home birth again, using Jessa's good experience as a justification. That scares me, but she seems oblivious to the dangers.
