Sorry to break it to you, but I've seen men with underboob.

Please don't give them ideas.

I did think about that — there’s a scene in Notting Hill where Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant talk about that — but I couldn’t think of a clever way to add it to my comment.  😉

Those two actors from The Office don't make me want to run out and get a box of Honey Nut Cheerios.  😐

Well, that shows how well I paid attention to The Office. I recognized the woman as being on the show, but not the man. The woman cracks me up when she says she wished so-and-so hadn't joined her mall walking group. 😆

How about the moron in the Fresh Pet commercial who says something to the affect that while he’d heard of dog food, he’d never thought about the fact that dogs eat food,  WTF? You’re too stupid to have a pet.  Start with a goldfish and go from there,

He's probably never heard of fish food either.

i just find both the commercials they are showing with this couple sad - i don't find them funny just kind of creepy and i feel bad that the actors had to act and say the things they have them do

What is with the Cottonelle commercials where people say they get swampy” down there and need this product? There is one where a woman says her husband notices she is swampy but Cottonelle solves the problem. Lume is bad enough but now we’re supposed to worry about swampy?

It's like Cottonelle is trying to make us buy other brands.  First they had the commercials with that British chick asking people about their bums and now these horrible ones.

Edited to note that, while I prefer Charmin, Cottonelle is what I usually buy because it's almost as soft and generally a little less expensive.  But they have worse commercials than Charmin, and that's saying a lot.

In the "before times", Cottonelle was my brand of choice. Then there was the great "TP shortage" and Cottonelle was no where to be found. I started using Charmin (yeah ugh bear ads and all). Now that things TP wise are back to normal, you can only find 2 rows of Cottonelle vs shelves and shelves of Charmin. I don't know what the deal is, but it seems Cottonelle is in some big $$ trouble. Maybe they are hoping these yukky ads will bring back demand?

I just bought some Cottonelle and sorry advertisers, but I'm liking Charmin better these days!

It isn't the advertisers swaying me, I have both brands side by side right now and at this point Charmin is winning my use tests. May change if I see a change back to the old Cottonelle I used to buy religiously.

This commercial has been around for a while. Everything about it is bad. The acting is horrific, the dialogue is banal and the lighting is terrible.

"Homegoing" always bothered me. Death, lady. You're gonna die.

It's such a specific euphemism for death, I wonder if the company advertises exclusively to Black Christians, or if they run different commercials in different markets.

I absoultey hate the Buick, "That's so you" commercials.  They just are stupid and make no sense and don't work.  I kind of become enraged whenever they come on my television. 😝

I've just begun seeing these now when I'm watching something streaming that has ads. The parking thing I can sort of excuse but the "Of course you know where we're going. That's so you" both annoys and irritates. Uh, doesn't everyone have a specific destination they're heading to that they know how to get to and/or more often than not, don't have to rely on a navigation system?

That Chime commercial where the guy (who looks to be in his 20's and has some sort of business), says he didn't want to get a credit card because he did not know anything about them...um, they are not a new thing, ask your bank, Google it, call a friend, ask your parents...how do you function, seriously!

Reynolds Wrap ad where mom is excited that aluminum foil makes grilling so easy, that she can take time to have fun with the family, who are running around the yard generally having a great time while mom is walking back and forth to the house.

I have an idea!  Why doesn’t the entire fucking family help with this barbecue, rather than flaunt their fun-having in mom’s face while she does everything?

I can't stand Chime commercials in general but that guy reminds me of an even smarmier Wil Wheaton.

Sorry, but I must return to the Lume ads- now in addition to the odious Dr. Shannon, some bug-eyed minion of hers is telling us that she works for Lume, and how to get free Lume products when we order (as if!). She's marginally more bearable than Dr. Shannon, BUT why is she filming this ad in a room that has 2 different-colored toilets in it?? (Couldn't find the clip to attach here, but it's on all the time)

I don't know who Wil Wheaton is, but I hate this commercial!  The guy looks like such a dork with those weird rolled-up jeans and the flannel shirt open over some sloppy T-shirt.  Guy looks skeevy to me.  He says he's a filmmaker!  I mute him every time it comes on and wish TVs had a black screen or something to block the visual while the ad play!

Wil Wheaton played Wesley Crusher on STNG and he was often on Big Bang Theory as Sheldon's frenemy.

What? Smarmy Wil Wheaton? He was so precious in Stand By Me. I haven't seen him in anything since, so the sweet character he played stayed with me 🤗

Wheaton had a really bad, exploited childhood. And he's just so damn exuberant in those "Ready Room" interviews he does regarding the Picard series on Paramount+, I can forgive the smarmy geekiness of Wesley Crusher.

ETA: Not to mention how fabulously evil he's been as "Chaos" on "Leverage."

Oh, that's right. He was also an evil murderer on Criminal Minds. Episode called Paradise.

I hate the Zocdoc ad that has the patient and doctor talking at the same time. So annoying.

I hate this ad so much.  We would all like to have a doctor that listens carefully and understands our needs.  They should also be highly skilled and know when we need a specialist.  Note that I didn't say someone who says the exact same words we are saying or agrees that we don't need medicine prior to even discussing why we are there.  For example, what if miss I don't want to take medicine has syphilis?  I'm sure dying from syphilitic brain would be better than taking an antibiotic.

I have never noticed the background.  Her face is so close to the camera, I assume they want us to count her pores.

Is anyone else sick of seeing too many ads where people start dancing? I don't even know how to describe the way they're dancing (lots of elbows flying, squats...just too much!) 🙄

I will always remember the one with the lazy animation of a grandmother taking something for her arthritis or something and telling her grandkid to "catch up with hm e, kiddo!" as she pedals her scooter faster.

Is that the one with the singing blackish man who resembles Colon Kapernick? I think he just looks like him, but I hate the commercial for because I despise Kapernick.

I hate that the first real thing out of his mouth (rather than all the stuff he's rabbiting from her) is about how often she exercises.  Maybe ask why the hell she's there first?

No, it's a hipster-looking white guy with dark hair and apparently no interaction with the real world.

How on earth would a young person in this world not know anything about credit cards? He's never bought a single thing online? I guess you can get by with paypal. But it sure seems like a complicated way to have organized your life. Seems unlikely.

There's this home composting unit called Lumi that some of the podcasters I watch on YT promote during their shows and when I hear the name my first thought is that it's referring to Lume. You'd think the company would come up with another name that doesn't sound exactly the same as the one that does cringe-worthy, repulsive ads.

Maybe he IS that rare doctor that actually reads the notes the assistant took while she was taking your vitals and asked why you were there. I hate that. I tell the "nurse" (who may or may not be a degreed nurse) and then I have to repeat it again for the doc.

I do not mind the annual wellness where they ask we seniors to draw a clock face.  I get carried away - last year, I drew a cuckoo clock with Roman numerals. This year I drew a Kit Cat Clock. It keeps the doc amused.  She doesn't care, as long as I place the hands in the position requested. How that proves I don't have dementia, I don't know.

My doctor reads the notes, but she doesn't start in with "how often do you exercise?".  She starts with my test results since last time or what I'm actually there for if it's not a regular visit.  I suppose the woman in the commercial could have an exercise-related issue, but it seems like a stupid question to start off the conversation.  Somehow the shorter version of the commercial annoys me a lot less.

Among the many commercials they play ever single commercial break is this one for what I guess is a redneck version of Top Gear called Power Nation. There's this one part that enrages me for no rational reason, which is him in the cab of a bigass monster truck pointing to the camera and pointing out the mud on the camera lens in an extremely (to me) off-putting manner. I just want to smack him! 😡

I was “privileged” or more honestly unfortunate enough to see the “pooping pineapples” verbal imagery in the Colace commercial.  It is another one that made me lose my appetite - why is it important to be disgusting?  (Looking at not only Colace, but Charmin, Lume, and dozens of others!)

The Progressive commercial with Mara's parents is

madeline kahn flames GIF

I see it so often and every time I get annoyed.  I hate this portrayal of her parents.  They are so annoying.  The dialog is atrocious.  We are supposed to find them upbeat and charming.  Can you imagine spending more than 30 seconds with these loud-mouthed clowns?  Who the heck says daddio and let's boogie woogie now?

Mara's morose "I know, right?" is still worse.

Nobody cares about Mara or her family, Progressive.  No one cares about Flo or Jamie either, just stop.
