AFAIK none of the other Duggars actually have actually called themselves TV stars. The older daughters have cashed in on all the SM followers they have from being Z list celebs and I don't blame them for that (although I don't think they are very good at it, sigh). But calling themselves "stars"? Not that I remember anywa

Did Amy not at least insinuate that she was something of a star? I do know that Mariah Brown of Sister Wives has referred to herself as a TV star on Social Media, but she thinks as highly of herself as Jeremy does of himself.

Jill calls herself a former TLC star on her Instagram bio.

I wonder if the publisher is on the Vuolos more to promote this book early and often.

They really did nothing in pre-release with the first one.  Not entirely their fault with Josh's arrest, but they had months prior to make people interested and develop related content around the book. They should have doubled down on their podcast and written Instagram or website blog posts to build their brand.  There was a niche audience and snarkers who would give them views. It was weird and telling how they pretty much went meh and abandoned everything when it wasn't an instant success. I'm surprised Worthy books took another chance on them.

I will give Jill props that she kept going even when people snarked on her food and overshare sex posts. She can be a mess but at least she was persistent (I'm not condoning or handwaving her problematic beliefs).

I would think J & J will wait until after the Dumpling's sentencing and the ensuing hubbub to die down before pushing the book.

As every PR or marketing piece will contain something at the end about the scumbag anyway, they'd probably rather it not be too fresh in the minds of the public when promoting their book for children.

I'm betting on a wave starting in May or June.

I'm not expecting them to do much promotion for the book. For one thing, it's not really their responsibility - this is a traditionally published book, and much of the point of doing trad published instead of self-published is that with trad publishing, the publisher is expected to do most of the marketing. There's quite a lot of stuff that they can't do but the publisher can - paying for prominent shelf placing in bookstores, for instance, or ensuring that the book is handled by American West/National Book and not just Ingram/Amazon (which gets the book into Walmart/Target and into recommended algorithms).

And, more importantly, they're terrible at it.

(looks at today's Amazon rankings for The Hope We Hold.)

I'm not. Based on those rankings, the book is still selling in all four formats a good ten months out past release date. It's not a major bestseller or anything, but that sales ranking justifies taking another chance on them.

And while I'm the first to agree that they didn't exactly do all that much promo for the book, right up until Josh's arrest they were doing about as much promo as several other "celebrity" and midlist/bestseller writers.  They even managed to book a couple of podcast/TV interviews, which put them ahead of several others. It's not out of the question that they'll manage to snag a couple more podcast/TV interviews for this book, too.

Will it be a bestselling book? My guess is no, it won't, but I can see why Worthy is taking a chance on it.

I think they all call themselves "Public Figures", which I'm guessing is because IG probably doesn't have celebrity as a choice. But anyway, public figure is really the same thing to them - it means famous. Famous to them means "star". IMO, its all one and the same.

They need a category for Z list famewhores.

Good lord!  He's wearing Yeezy's which are Kanye West' line with Adidas.  Promoting a shoe that benefits a guy who is clearly mentally ill and who, in just the past week, has made numerous posts aimed at his ex-wife and her current partner including a music video in which Kanye decapitates and buries a Pete Davidson look alike is not a good look for an aspiring preacher.  Or anyone, really.  Jer is not only insufferable, he's tone deaf.

I was thinking the same thing. My jaw dropped when I saw that post of Jeremy's. I'd also assumed he'd left his Ye fanboying behind him after his overt attempts to get Kanye's attention during his Jesus is King phase but obviously not.

Let Jer continue his fanboying of Kanye. Will Jer still support Ye when he goes totally off the rails and actually hurts someone besides himself?

Unless I see him wearing the shoes outside of the store, I'm going to assume he just tried them on and didn't buy them.  He's a big enough poser to do that.

Probably so, which makes it even more pathetic that he posed for the 'gram in Yeezys.  I'll bet the clerks at that shoe store have to be coerced into waiting on him.  Nothing more fun for a salesperson to waste time on a jerk who tries on shoes for the web but doesn't buy anything.

I'm honored to be the 25th "like/love" to your post.

Where does this tosser get the $ to buy an Imelda Marcos buttload of shoes?  And why promote Yeezy shoes, of all shoes?

JereME, you're a colossal POS.

Only because she's looking for help in regaining her sense of smell.

And she somehow thinks that sniffing essential oils will repair olfactory nerves damaged by the virus.

I am not a neurologist, but, from what I've seen, nerve recovery in adults tends to be a finite process and, after a nerve has been cut or suffered and injury, there is a window during which full recovery can be possible, but that it closes pretty rapidly.  When we do Gyn surgeries via a Pfannnenstiel incision (bikini cut), it cuts through the nerves that go to the skin of the lower abdomen.  The nerves tend to run vertically, so a horizontal incision tends to transect them.  Anyway, most women will notice that their skin is numb around the incision,  I usually tell them to give it 6 months to a year and it will usually come back.  If they're still numb after a year, then them's the breaks.  Luckily, most people don't need to have a sense of touch on their lower abdomen and they do well even if it doesn't return.

If Jinger still has a very big deficit after more than a year; it might be permanent.   I would hope she has at least seen a neurologist or gone to a long COVID specialist, but, probably not,

I can’t find this on YouTube. Confusing caption and bad pic of Jinger.

I found it. It's in a YT video that Joy posted on her channel, of their trip to LA. They were out and about, and then back at the Vuolos' to eat takeout. That's a truly awful screen grab of Jinger, who IMO didn't look all that awful in the actual video. She was showing the chicken and I think said something like "Raising Cane's is terrible" and praising whatever fast food joint made the chicken they bought there. She did look kind of pale, but I don't think she was wearing makeup. She'd probably been at home taking care of the kids. I can't be bothered to watch the whole video and count which noses were out sightseeing and therefore who was left at home.

Gabby Barrett was center stage at the ACM Awards last night, co-hosting the show with Dolly Parton and Jimmie Allen. She and Jimmie did a rockin' duet on "Viva Las Vegas"/"Let's Go to Vegas" and she did a solo turn with "I Hope You Dance". I didn't watch the whole two-hour show, but as far as I could see, there was no sign of Cade, although I'm sure he was hovering around backstage.

Since Jeremy loves to glom onto celebrities, I wonder if he'll post about this (bragging about how close he and Jinger are to Gabby) or if he'll ignore it because it wasn't his buddy Cade in the spotlight.

What an ego blow to Aunt Cade and by extension, Jeremy.  I hope Jere doesn't stay up too late when Cade calls him every night, crying that he's not as famous as his wife and it's not fair because he's so much prettier than she is.

Like Jinger, there’s no way in hell I believe she’s an avid cook 🤣. And “chaste” - how?

Chaste meaning abstaining from sex, i.e, Cade’s not getting any, or chaste meaning only have sex with her spouse, like most other married people?

Now I hate him for making me think about their sex life.

Wife, mother, singer, chef, bride, precious woman but no where it mentions her actual name... He's creepy as fuck

This is appalling in so many ways.  Punchable Aunt Cade is speaking like his wife is his possession.  I feel for that woman, and I don't think this will end well.  JMO

Yeah even by low fundie standards, it's appalling. There's a weird undercurrent of aggression in it.

Right?!  Most people who know who she is, know her because she’s a country music star. But that’s barely mentioned, and I think that is a deliberate choice that reflects how he feels about her success.

ETA: 4 wife references and no mention of her name.
