I remember "Take Good Care of My Baby."  R.I.P., Bobby.

Now that he's no longer afflicted by Alzheimer's at such a relatively young age, we can hope HE is being taken care!

As for the former Countess Spencer,  if nothing else she did her best to help the late Princess of Wales's ailing father regain as much health and mobility as possible after his stroke so, despite her disputes with his children, she DID do something good and I think she needs to be honored for that.

Remington Steele remains one of my all-time favorite shows, and Laura Holt one of my all-time favorite TV characters, and I've always respected Michael Gleason for understanding the radical concept that a female character being written only by men is a problem.  Unfortunately, this led to the addition of only one woman - the fantastic Susan Baskin - to the writing staff, but it also led to him repeatedly seeking, and heeding, the input of Stephanie Zimbalist about how Laura should be portrayed.

His publishing company is reporting that Jack Chick has died:

Damn, could there even have BEEN  80's punk zines and posters without Jack Chick (and the Weekly World News, of course)?  No my friends. No there could not.  And who wouldn't love to see the pamphlets he'd do from the Other Side, now that he really is seeing it all up close and personal?

I'm a huge Patton Oswalt fan and was sad to learn (late) that his wife died (in April) Still sad to hear it. I know she was not a known celeb, but I think she was an author.  They have a young daughter. *sigh*

Two-time Tony-winning actress Tammy Grimes, Mother of Tony-winner Amanda Plummer & ex-wife of Oscar, Tony- & Emmy-winner Christopher Plummer, dies at age 82.

This one really slipped under the radar; I guess she was pretty much forgotten. Too bad; I wish I could have seen her as the original Unsinkable Molly Brown on Broadway. She was the original choice for Samantha (then called "Cassandra") on Bewitched, but she chose to do The Tammy Grimes Show instead. It was one of the biggest flops of the day!

But do we blame 2016 for Raoul?

Why not?  I'm blaming it for everything.  Including the death of two sports curses:  Cleveland's & Cubs Billy Goat.

The Swedish Tax Agency officially declared that Raoul Wallenberg is dead and that his official date of death is July 31, 1952.

When I read this, the first thing I thought was "Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead."

There was never a death that made me happier. I am not really a baseball fan, but I am a proud Chicagoan! The curse is broken.
