I'm on the fence with Erika.  I just don't like that half naked dominatrics-y type of dancing and singing.  But then, I'm not a man or a lesbian, so to each his own.  I don't have a problem with women who marry for money or women who marry for looks.  Who are women supposed to go after.  Ugly poor men?  That doesn't work either.  Look at Cynthia Baily.  LOL!

Hee, so true. Kathy, Kim, Kyle and Pointy. Big K kept Pointy hidden in the closet because her potential was limited. Or would that be point-entail?

Who is Pointy?

I suspect Alexia not being invited to Nikki Hilton's wedding had something to do with the aftermath of being bitten by Kingsley. It looks like the family took sides after that unfortunate debacle.

Ken looks really good for 70--he must have had work done to his face. As much as his smug superiority bugs me at times, I did feel a twinge of anxiety for the doddering ol' man as he lay on his back unable to get his bearings. Not cool, whoever did that.

Pandora's flaring nostrils and look of discontent after her mother's 69 reference was great.

Erika...not sure how I feel about her just yet but I have a feeling she will be the new Brandi and annoy the shit out of me.

I'm not feeling 'Erika'.  Everytime there's a close up of her face I think Wendi McLendon-Covey.  I also don't think of Anna Nichol Smith or gold digger.  But I don't like her ego so far.  And I have no interest in her so called singing career.

Funny how in the blogs so far, Taylor is being condemned about saying anything about Yo's illness.  She said what so many are thinking.  Yo has been very public about her illness and because of that I have no problem with anyone questioning what is going on.  Yo called her ignorant in her blog.  Oh, and now she's calling it 'Neuroborreliosis'.   I just found the whole blog kind of pathetic, especially after seeing the vitamin C injection and other daily things this woman is doing to her body.

Otherwise a fun episode.  It's a throwback to the early days when it was more about fun and lifestyle.

You may be onto something about Alexia, but it doesn't explain why Sophia and Mauricio weren't invited. I think the division in the Richards-Hilton families goes way beyond a dog bite.

I can't believe Ken is 70 either. He can easily pass for a man still in his 50s. I loved Lisa's "69" pun, but my reaction probably would have been the same as Pandora's if my mom said something like that in front of me.

Glad I checked in here because I didn't realize that the Erika with Yolanda was the same Erika who does music videos -- she looked so different in both scenes.  I was wondering if the music Erika was ever going to interact with the others.  I liked her -- no pretensons.  Her husband seems happy, that's what counts.

Liked seeing LisaV without makeup -- there weren't any closeups but still, no makeup, hair in curlers.  She and LisaR seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company.  Good for them.

Lisa did seem to fall in love with the pony.  As long as you're there, why not bring out a vet to check the horse's foot?  A horse isn't a dog though, and they don't live on a farm, so I'm glad the horse stayed in Ohio.

Fun episode, I would have loved to have been a guest at that luncheon with the hats. And I got a kick out of the Lisas being caught in a good old-fashioned thunderstorm in the limo .... they plan for so much but not obnoxious weather.

As for Yolanda, I do agree with Taylor. What's with all the photos of her in treatment? And you can't even call them selfies as Yo is not taking them herself but rather posing instead.  It's social media gone awry ... keep your health care private!!!!  But Yolanda can't, her whole identity now is as a sick person and who can tell what is amped up for a storyline and what is real? I tend to believe her, but then as others point out, she seems to be able to revive herself for fashion shows, etc.  Who knows. We'll see what she's like in a year.

I really love Eileen.  She's so tall and gorgeous and effortlessly stylish, like Countess Luann.  She looked fab at Lisa's party and picked the best hat.

The new woman looks like someone who rolled out of The Girls Next Door.  Now that I think about it, she's a bit of a combination of Holly, Bridget and Kendra:  smarter than most like Holly, bad hair and pink clothing like Bridget, and elements of trashiness like Kendra.  That said, I don't like calling women golddiggers.  What's the tea on her husband?  Did he leave a wife and some kids for her?  Calling BS on her being a cocktail waitress when they met.  I mean, maybe, but when she said "client of a year" I thought she was really referring to ...something else.

Golddigger? Why is there no equivalent word for an old rich geezer who marries a much younger woman who fits the societal definition of attractive? I doubt greatly that most of these such unions are grand passions or soul mates but I do see them as mutually beneficial deals. She gets financial security and he gets a young nubile pretty young thing. A golddigger digging on a gold mine that wants to be dug. Everybody is getting what they want... until they aren't.  That being said meh to her so far. Her voice grates on my nerves, hair terrible, clothes terrible. Her aesthetic is expensive Vegas tacky (much like Adrienne) so most likely she won't be bringing the high fashion or wearing anything enviable.

Any King of the Hill fans? Why does her husband look like a live action Cotton Hill if he hadn't got his shins 'blowed off' in the war?

What are these billboard charts that Ericka speaks of? The Ittoqqortoormiit, Greenland top 100? There must be an airport hangar, warehouse or landfill full of cds her husband brought.

I could have lived a long life without hearing that choreographer say "pat the puss, pat the puss' and seeing Ericka do it.

Extra Lisa (Lisar) really is just Brandi with some moderate home training and half a working filter to me. That chick is messy!

A million nos for Taylor being back on my screen. She should unhinge her jaw, scoop up her husband in it and go back from whence she came.

Loving all the private jet porn but damn those things are small.

I don't understand the whole mini pony thing? Are they something that naturally occur in nature or specifically bred to be that way? Not about to tell someone how to spend their money but damn! Why?!?!?

I love that LisaV is not here for Taylor. LOL!

I loved Kyle's lace top and the lipstick was super pretty on her but yeah, it clashed with the hat.

I believe that was Taylor's friend.

I don't think it was Taylor's friend who pushed Ken in.  He might have been the one to do the fake-out push, but I think it was Pandora's husband (thin with light brown hair) that did the real thing.

Someone needs to tell Yo that megadoses of Vitamin C cause nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, headaches, insomnia and kidney stones.

I hate Taylor and never, ever want to see her, ever.  But I agree that she should feel free to question wtf is going on with Yo.  I wish someone would question Yo, someone like a psychiatrist who might be able to actually help her.  Yo's talking head about eating bark if someone tells her is how she ended up with that closet.  Jeez, she's a trainwreck in a Hoarders kind of way.

 Neuroborreliosis -- ok, then.

Anyways, I really enjoyed this episode.  I felt bad for the horse, and the whole vibe that lady gave me was a little sketchy.  It was smart to wait and have the horse checked out by a vet, but I wanted Lisa to get the horse away from there.

Jury will remain out on Erika until I see more interaction from her with the other ladies.  Overall she didn't bother me too much, though.  Taylor, well, can't say I disagreed with the gist of what she was saying.  And then next week Lisa goes to Wikipedia and throws out the "M" word.  Well my, my, my.

Thank you, editors, for replaying the scene of Kim climbing over the highway barrier or whatever that was.  Still one of the most baffling and hilarious things I've seen on this show.

I hate that Kyle always refers to Kim as "my sister" rather than Kim. Petty, I know but every time she says " my sister" I think we all know who you're talking about just say Kim. I'll show myself out now.

Bothers me too. I've 4 sisters and when referencing one to a friend I say my sister (then name which sister). I often wonder too if she's meaning Kim or Kathy, then have to wait for the rest of the story to put my best guest on it.

Right, like Camille didn't question Taylor's claim of DV by Russel towards Taylor but I guess in her mind that is/was fair game AND didn't we hear pretty much the same questions from Eileen about Yolanda's treatment choices in the first episode! LOL  It was interesting to read Taylor's blog, in that she claims she offered the name of a top Neuro to Yolanda to get a second opinion and was turned down by Yolanda. Funny how Yolanda fails to mention THAT in her own blog and just tries to fall on her victim status sword ONCE AGAIN! Oh, and Taylor NEVER said that Yolanda was faking being ill, just that maybe she was not properly diagnosed because she was NOT getting better (at that point) after 3+ years of her initial diagnosis and access to the best medical are care throughout the world. Has she, Yolanda, yet to name 1 Dr. she has seen that specializes in treating LD, just 1? NOT that I have heard/read.

Once again, she is renaming her illness/condition because so many have called her out on her contradictions. Oh, and she claims she started to recover 6 months ago despite the tweets she made that said the exact opposite 6 months ago. She started to recover 5 months ago (Aug), after her silicone implants were removed and the areas affected cleaned up, yet she fails to mention anything about that fact. I suspect she can NOT admit, the bulk of her symptoms were brought on by her own vanity in getting silicone implants to begin with, JMO.

Interesting that Max wasn't at his father's birthday party.....  Is he just over it?  Or did I miss seeing him there.

It seemed to me that Lisa (and Ken) had gotten a lot of flack about their love for the adopted son and Max was made a bit of a storyline last season to disprove that.  Gone again...by choice?

I think Lisa truly didn't want to run the risk of having to put the pony down, but I loved that she also would've given that pony a wonderful life if she had chosen to bring it home.

Yes, when she mentioned that could potentially be an option (which would be devastating), I think that's what sealed the deal.  And the owner seemed kind of rude.  "If you guys weren't in such a rush to get back, we could have had a vet check her out."  Best that Lisa sticks with dogs and swans.

Erika reminds me of Holly, Hugh Hefner's ex.  And her choreographer is the same one that coached Gretchen before her Pussycat Dolls appearance.  It seems Erika is a bit more talented!

Lisa Rinna always has to be "on," doesn't she?  Everything is so over the top with her.  Must be exhausting.

It wasn't Pandy's husband that pushed Ken in.  It was another guy with spiky hair.  They showed him hugging Ken at the beginning of the party.  I would like to think Jason would be more tactful than to do something like that anyway.

And why couldn't Kyle enjoy the damn hat without commenting about how it clashes with her red lips!

I loved Erica, and I may be biased, but I think women that marry lawyers are intelligent, and she seems to have her shit together and I LOVE her body. I love that she doesn't look like a 12 year old boy, or an anorexic model. I love her strong thick body, it's gorgeous. She also knows exactly what she wants, knows what she has, and owns it. No insecurities unlike Kyle and Lisa R (who IMO can be sweet but also very two faced because they are too scared to say how they really feel). I love her. She said she was 44, she looks great.

So glad they didn't buy that horse! Ohio is notorious for their puppy mills and I'm shocked that Lisa would buy an animal from a mini horse mill in Ohio of all places! The worst place ever for cruel animal mills aside from Tennessee. I'm so glad she did not support that business, IMO it's wrong and disgusting.

Best moments of the show was Elieen running around trying to get ready for work with her husband and son checked out. I laughed out loud when she said they do not hear female voices. So funny.

On rewatch, I realize you are correct.  I don't know who that guy was, but he was there before Taylor and her husband showed up.  I noticed he was sitting next to Lisa V when she was giving her toast to Ken so he must have been someone close to them.

Taylor is a hypocrite. She didn't like being questioned about her situation when originally on RHOBH but is quick to question Yolanda's. That being said, I think Yolanda needs attention, and the Lyme disease is her hook. She doesn't have David and his fame or "friends" to use anymore. Her kids are on their own so she can't use them or through them, her connection to Mohammed. Now it's just Yo, her huge closet of pills, and her selfies. People get, and recover from, Lyme disease every day. People who don't have the funds to travel around the world, although now Yo can't either. How does she know it's the Lyme that's making her sicker, and not all these "cures"? I'm over the "poor me" card Yolanda is playing, especially since the effects of her "illness" increased when her screen time decreased.

Not liking the new girl at all. Totally self involved and thus totally boring. Why on earth would anyone want to wear that horribly trashy outfit? Her hubby looks like a really sweet person. Hope she really does treat him well.

Lisa R's girls still not impressing me as they, too, seem that way and need to be less smart mouthed. Although I have to say last week they seemed more concerned about their GF than their mother did, with her "too much information" nonsense. Really, your dad is having a hard time health wise and you can't be bothered because it upsets your cozy little California fun time? Go see your parents while you still can, instead of running off to Ohio on a lark.

I said the same thing about Lisa R. If she felt Taylor was overstepping her bounds, then why did she even bother engaging with her about Yolanda's illness? And then next week, she is shown reading the signs of Munchausen's syndrome--thereby implying that Yolanda is faking having Lyme's disease. I think Lisa R has been a great addition to the cast, and I usually enjoy her, but I'm not liking how she is playing both sides regarding Yolanda's illness. If she doesn't believe Yolanda is sick, then she shouldn't be over at Yolanda's apartment playing the supportive friend.

In a way, I agree. If she is just going to gossip about it, she needs to stay away. Perhaps she is thinking of doing some sort of "intervention," although I doubt it. I know Yolanda wouldn't listen to any of them, but I hope, Lyme disease or no Lyme disease, she comes across a real doctor who can convince her that all this fad quack hopping is doing her no good whatsoever.

Taylor has no social graces. Upon meeting Lisa Rinna for the FIRST time she jokingly thanks Rinna for having a bigger mouth so she no longer has the biggest mouth in the room. Rinna might joke about herself but it's rude for someone, who has only just met her, to joke about any physical feature.

I loathe Taylor so I hope she swallows herself and disappears....along with her fake laughter.

That's an interesting observation about Alexia not being invited. But how unfair! Punishing someone for getting bitten? Of course, the whole thing is mean and crass no matter how you look at it. If Kathy is siding with mean Aunt Kim, she is as complete a jerk as Kim is. I understand Kyle was in a difficult position, but I would have chosen my daughter's feelings over Nikki's any day, especially since it seems Nikki did not intervene on behalf of her cousin. Really, what sort of people uninvite family which has really done nothing to them?

Ken looked great with his hair all slicked back, and the jerk who shoved him needs to grow a brain.

Both Pandora and her husband looked disgusted at that remark, and I don't blame them.

Agreed. Thats very fucked up that 2 of 4 the girls were invited. I get Kyle is the baby of the three sisters but I'm sorry she's how old... if you disinvite my kids and my significant other than you will definitely disinvite me. What did Alexia and Sophia do to be disinvite? Did they not take Uncle Rick side over their own father? Did they say Kathy needs to be the one taking care of Kim instead of Kyle all time? Because if so I dont think they were wrong in their assessment.

Liked the 2 Lisa's Ohio trip.  They seem to be a good match. Also loved the expression on Lisa V's face when Taylor implied she might purchase a house down the street from her.  Priceless.

The poor little pony with it's lame leg and tutu bothered me. I felt bad for her - she made me sad.

Will the entire Yolanda season will consist of her with needles in her arm or in bed or consulting yet another doctor.  Not entertaining.  In fact, starting to bore.

I wish they had spent more time on the Kim discussion, but I guess that's down the road.  Lisa Rinna certainly seems to have Kim's number.

Liked the Ken party - but also liked that Kyle admitted she was bored. Agree with all that tossing a 70 year old man in the pool was not a good idea - liked how the ladies all went to him - it was a cute ending.

I'll reserve judgement on Erika.  Not very impressed but maybe she'll grow on me.  I don't know if she's a good fit for the show though.   But she's not Kim and and she's not Brandi, so that's a plus.

Not disagreeing with the gist of your post, but just wanted to point out that Neuroborreliosis is a condition that generally occurs late in the progress of Lyme disease, so it's not like she is changing her tune about what disease she is supposed to have. You don't ever push a 70 year old man.  I don't care if he's sitting on a swing, still don't push him.  Ken really looked like he was hurt at first.  I actually jumped up when I saw that because I got so scared for him.  That was horrible!

LisaR's older daughter was really snotty at the nail salon.

I loved the idea of a hat tree when you walk in and the women get to choose a hat.  How cool!  LisaV must have dished out quite a few bucks for all those gorgeous hats.

Eileen in the car asking her son if he knew where to meet Dad and he was just uh huh'ing and then when Eileen finally got his attention he said he was never told where to meet Dad.....the look on her face!  LOL!!!  Been there!

Eh, this episode was kind of ho-hum. Not necessarily a bad thing, I just don't have a lot to say.

Not enjoying the new housewife. At all. She just does not seem like a good fit, to me. Five minutes in and her phony, baby/cartoon voice was already driving me to insanity. And what's up with her calling her husband "Mr." all the time? I don't even care about the whole gold digger thing; I'm sure it's a mutually beneficial relationship. But that was just awkward.

I did enjoy the two Lisas going to get the horse. It's a shame it didn't work out, but I probably would not have taken a lame horse either. They have enough pets around there, adding one that needed a lot of care would be exhausting. Plus, what if you got super attached and then it had to be put down? Sad. Are those horses natural, or is its size do to some genetic engineering? Because, not to get all preachy, but that's what you get when you try and concoct these hybrid animals - a lot of health problems.

I did love Lisa R. bringing Ken the little pony on a stick instead. She has a great sense of humor. I like Lisar most of the time. I appreciate how much she seems to enjoy life and is a positive person. But every once in awhile this snobby side sneaks out that I don't care for. I thought she was a bit over the top when she was demanding that Lisa V get her off the horse ranch/farm/whatever. The people that owned or worked for the place were standing right there!!! Calm down.

Not a fan of seeing Taylor again. I don't know what to think about Yo's situation, but I got the impression that Taylor was bringing it up to make sure she'd get on air. She's just gross, to me.

Also, this episode was probably filmed in June or July, judging by the context of the wedding and Kim's "escapement," lol, so that would have been before the implants were removed.

My issue with Yolanda is she presents a general malaise and then goes into these complicated explanations.  Yolanda's full time job seems to be getting treatment and seeing practitioners about her condition.  She can't even handle it by herself she hired a full time health care advocate (former call girl) to shoulder the immense burden on knowledge and supplements and colonics, and IVs.

Yolanda has made this her storyline because it is her life as she sees it.  What irks me is here is Yolanda without answers to basic questions, (how did you get a parasite?, Really Lyme Disease cause DUI's in teenagers-except I asked that question) expecting, no demanding these women learn and sympathize her condition unconditionally.  If one waivers she is the first to judge them as ignorant, uncaring, unsympathetic.  It is a lot to put on a family member or dear friend to absorb and learn about all of Yolanda's maladies, but these women are not Yolanda's good close friends, as she has told us repeatedly.  So Taylor contacting her and giving her the name of a neurologist for her neurological disorder is not mentioned, just that Taylor found it distasteful Yolanda is constantly posting photos of her self with an IV. I have a hard time, maybe it is post Brooks, of Yolanda not following up-if she has gone to 100+ doctors what is one more?  In any event Taylor was not being ignorant she was being helpful.

Yolanda has repeatedly put these women and their character in an unfavorable light because she did not approve of their treatment of her and it is poor little sick Yolanda.  So Yolanda can misrepresent, omit, fabricate, misinterpret what others have said and if called on it she simply falls back on the Lyme Disease.  It then adds another layer to another diss Yolanda feels she is on the receiving end of.

I completely agree. I loved her hat, she looked so beautiful.

Any King of the Hill fans? Why does her husband look like a live action Cotton Hill if he hadn't got his shins 'blowed off' in the war?

Oh my gosh, you nailed it! Luckily Erika isn't as dumb as Didi.

Best moments of the show was Elieen running around trying to get ready for work with her husband and son checked out. I laughed out loud when she said they do not hear female voices. So funny.

Everything Eileen said in this episode I was like - "WORD". When she said she has to take so many things into consideration, and her husband only takes himself into consideration. Oh girl, come sit on my couch.

Best part of the episode was very little Yolanda. She reminds me of my grandma who used to write my mom letters (back when phone calls were uber expensive). The entire first page of every letter was an inventory of all her ailments, how rotten she felt, yadda yadda. We got to the point that we skipped over that page when we got a letter. That said, did I hear that right? Yo gets either an IV or a colonic EVERY DAY? Who the hell wants needles stuck in their arms unless you have to? Can't the same effect be achieved by taking vitamin c orally? Doesn't the body just excrete what it doesn't absorb anyway? And what is up with these bitches and colonics? I can't believe it's good for the gut to have that done often.

I'm not even going to address the pony because it made me sad.

As for the hat party, Eileen, Lisa, and Kyle rocked their hats, especially Eileen. With the others, it looked like someone just tossed a pile of tulle and flowers on their head. Loved the table, the view, just gorgeous. Plastic-y looking  party planner chi chi knows how to create  an atmosphere, I'll give him that.

Producers need to stop with the "the rich are just like you and me" shit, Case in point Eileen. If I wanted to see kids not wanting to get ready for school, being ignored by a spouse and having to rush to do a drop off at school while a kid is texting, I don't have to look farther than my house. I don't need to see that on RHOBH.

I feel meh about Taylor's return. Bringing up Yo was surely producer suggested. I did LOL when Lisa said she didn't want Taylor on her street. Is Taylor the new truth cannon? IDK.

New gir; Erica? Erika? is a cliche. Old rich guy marries cocktail waitress. She looks like an Anna Nicole reboot. I do give her props for being married 15 years. I guess it works out sometimes. My guess is the old guy has an ex wife or two and grown kids. I wonder what they think of her.

Not disagreeing with the gist of your post, but just wanted to point out that Neuroborreliosis is a condition that generally occurs late in the progress of Lyme disease, so it's not like she is changing her tune about what disease she is supposed to have. Also, this episode was probably filmed in June or July, judging by the context of the wedding and Kim's "escapement," lol, so that would have been before the implants were removed.

I was referring to Yolanda's blog in my post, not what she said ON camera and she was speaking about the here and now with her health, not during filming.

This episode seemed much more like a series of vignettes to me rather than a cohesive story woven together.   It seemed to hop all over the place almost to the point of confusion.

Lisa R was a caricature and a character, but oddly enough, she was more likeable to me than she's been on any other show, and I found myself liking her.  Both her amusement and her concern over the horse situation seemed real.  Taylor didn't belong.  She was like a  relic from the past, and her voice stood out, as always.

I'm anxious for some action, whatever it will be.  The show has a feeling of stalling, as if it's waiting for something and seems like filler until the real excitement begins.

Last tear the first nine episodes were fairly uneventful until Brandi decided to throw wine in Eileen's face and get drunk at Yolanda's.  Brandi said she did it because it made for good TV and of course she became the center of attention.  So I guess we can wait for some bonehead inappropriate move or we can watch and see how these people behave when they are not being called or calling each other names and or being assaulted or assaulting someone.

 (snip)

The very first season of RHoOC was like this and posters sometimes wish for that simpler time rather than the forced tptb storylines but it usually ends up being to pedestrian and dull. Beverly Hills has had some of the most WOW real life moments of the franchise though and I'm wondering if we will get something WOW this season.

Ugh.  Freaking Taylor.  I'll take 10 Lisa Rinnas before her.  And good god woman, while Lisar's lips are "fuller" than yours, NOBODY'S mouth is bigger than yours.

All the ladies looked nice at Ken's luncheon.  Eileen looked the most stunning, of course.

Erika Jane... ehhh the jury is still out.  On one hand, I think, hey you go girl, be a sexy singer at your age.  On the other hand, I found her somewhat annoying.  Time will tell.

One thing about Erika, though, is that I'm going to need her to get her bio info correct. In her bio, it says that she is 29. But on the show, she says that she is 44. I can see pushing her age back a few years so she can have a career as an entertainer, but it's quite a stretch to say you're 15 years younger than you actually are.

What bio says she is 29?  She's definitely 44 - born in 1971.

Her husband is 76 years old.

See, I enjoy those scenes because it drives home to me that even if I had been an actress, won an emmy (daytime but still), had a big big house and was gorgeous like Eileen is, real life would not actually be that much different. You still end up in the kitchen in the morning, tidying it up, your family still needs you to prod and keep order, etc.  The only person who really lives that differently to me is Lisa VDP, in that she seems to really have help that takes care of most mundane things. But then she has the restaurants, and those are not headache-free.  So those scenes make me feel as if I'm not really missing out by not being a millionairess (even though I still want to be.)

Erika seems to bring the same vibe as Carlton -- which was discordant with the BH image.

Erika to me seems like a skit parody of a real houswife as played by comedienne/actress Wendi McLendon-Covey of Reno 911 of Bridesmaids fame. They even look somewhat alike.

Her whole segment was driving me nuts because I couldn't figure out what was bugging me about it. It seemed so surreal. From the TH hair with diamond barrette, former cocktail waitress who married a wealthy man  26 years older, and the icing on the cake was the music career with outrageous sheer catsuit with 'modesty' black patches over her crotch and boobs.

She did say that she was 44.

What bugged me was how she was all, "I look great...why wouldn't I?  I have the means to."

I mean, on one hand, if you (think that?) you look fabulous, own it.  But even Alexis Bellino humble-bragging about all the time that she spent on her appearance was more dignified.

Yes, I just used "Alexis Bellino" and "dignified" in the same sentence.
