How long has Quinn been on now? And this is the first time they have given her dimension and layers. Yeah, they have given us some stuff with Ridge and talking about her mom, and they did try to "soften" her with Eric, but this rings entirely different. She is like a whole different person and I really don't know what to make of it. 

I like this new Carter. Vulnerable and sexy, but not needy and thirsty. 

I'm nodding along to all of this, especially the bolded. 

I don't know that I think TPTB were savvy enough to figure out ahead of time that they have lightening in a bottle with these two (a thing I haven't seen since the salad days of Brill, PF's Thomas/Sally, or CaRidge). More of a "let's throw these two together and see what happens," but I am very, very glad they did because I have a show I can enjoy again and I hope they run with this full throttle.

This pairing has done wonders for both the characters and the actors. I was convinced that LSV, despite being very easy-on-the-eyes, was a wooden dullard and wanted to FF Carter scenes. I knew RS had talent in spades but her obsession against Brooke with the Shauna/Ridge nonsense was making her equally one-note, shrilly and FF material. 

I would never in a million years have imagined how captivating this pairing could be and how it brought out so many more shades of their characters as well as upping their acting games (LSV in a major way). 

I abhor cheating in real life and, yes, typically, in reel life as well, but it is a soap staple and can be compelling if done right (see the early days of Y&R's Phick - the only time I liked that pairing). 

The show (via Quarter) are bringing SEXY back and for that, I thank them.

Assuming this was what they were going for, I don't see what he has to feel guilty about regarding Zoe.  He was at best iffy on forgiving her even before this, and all he has to tell her is that unfortunately there isn't going to be any moving forward, and he's basically being honest re: her.

As odd as it was to have Quinn/Zoe talking about Zoe/Carter, it's a whole 'nother level of weird to have Zoe chatting with Eric about Quinn. Eric's face was "shh, the adults are talking."

I can't understand Zoe not taking "you done fucked up and burned all your bridges and the fat lady has left the stage, honey" as a sign to move on, but this is the same trifling trick who stalked Xander all the way to LA until she eventually wore him down (for a time).

I needed this after yesterday's show.

OMG! Carter pushed Quinn down on that bed and I was completely undone. I mean, it was forceful, and it was manly, and it was so fucking hot. These two ain't playing. This is real adult hot ass sex, and I didn't realize how much I have been missing it. 

In all honesty though, none of the other current couples come close to the heat of Quarter. Hope & Liam? Brooke & Ridge? Bill & Katie? Steffy & Finn? And the lack of heat with these pairings has nothing to do with Covid; with the exception of Steffy/Finn, they have all been an item for years or decades. No, the problem with these couples is they have all expired, and are well past there sell by dates. 

This is why you don't waltz into other people's homes. You sometimes get more than you bargained for. Carter doesn't want you Zoey, so I know he would not appreciate you just coming right on down. The jig better not be up because of this. 

Fuck off Brooke! God, but you are festering like a nasty bacteria in an open sore. You have every right to detest Quinn, but the woman does not answer to you at work or in her love life. You love Eric, and that has always been special, but that does not give you the right to school his wife on how to be a wife. If I remember, you weren't so great at being Eric's wife yourself. Brooke doesn't have to like Quinn or the Queric marriage but Eric made his choice and has stuck with Quinn through everything so she does have to respect it. Just like Quinn should have respected the Bridge marriage even though she, like many of us, detest it.

This has little to do with Eric and everything to do with payback for Quinn for messing with Ridge re the Shauna nonsense, but Quinn didn't do this alone. Shauna and Ridge, Brooke's husband, were very willing participants in this and she conveniently forgets her husband wasn't dragged kicking and screaming into this. Drunk off his ass or not, he chose to go to Vegas with Shauna in the first place and that was after several instances of kissing/canoodling. But the man must be left off the hook and the other woman made to carry the full share of the blame. And when you consider the Felony Forgiveness Tour, Brooke was pretty damn tame with Shauna so why, exactly, is she still out for blood? Perhaps it's the prior fling with Ridge (that Brooke discovered in Sydney) and the interference with Shauna, but the bottom line is that Eric made his choice and she needs to respect it and shut it.

Because show of hands - who wants to slap the taste out of Brooke's mouth right about now?

That part. Brooke has forgiven trespasses from every single character on this show, including fascilitation of her own rape, but she can't let this go with Quinn?  

I fully stand by the fact that Quinn is uniquely dangerous in a way no character is other than Sheila and *should* STFU about Brooke herself. However, she's got Brooke read like  Shakespeare written in its native Klingon [/Trek nerd joke]. Brooke doesn't plan to hurt people, but hurt people she does for her own selfish wants with little thought and Hope is the living, breathing reminder of where her destructive tendencies lead her.

And that's the difference between Quinn and Shawna; Quinn calls bullshit where she sees it and has from day one, even if she chooses the worst ways possible to get that across (see also: her entire history with Liam. God, I wish they hadn't pulled Captive Cabin because SOMEONE needs to put a foot in his ass).

I don't understand Eric not being able to "fulfill" Quinn because he doesn't trust her. It's just sex, right? That's usually the last thing to peter out in a marriage. No pun intended. Given Eric's past behavior, his current stance doesn't make any sense. I thought it has been alluded to for many years that he needs some "help" in pill form, so inability to perform shouldn't be an issue either. Something isn't adding up and either it's piss-poor writing or Eric isn't being straightforward. I mean he's told all of his intimate tales to anybody who will listen, so don't withhold details now.

Uh, hello, Zoe? Carter is a man, right? Why would you expect him to be celibate after breaking up with you? That doesn't make any sense either. Zoe and Carter are no longer engaged, so it's not like he was cheating on her. I hate to say but today was mostly the old Carter.  Weak willed and indecisive.  I'm really glad that Quinn pointed out that he could have told Zoe this wasn't any of her business- and have been completely in the right to do so- but he didn't.  

Carter seems to desperately want a relationship/family.  I don't think he wants Zoe herself anymore, but maybe what she represents as a potential long term partner.  He should realize he in fact dodged a bullet there, but regardless.. just wanted to see him move on and not act like he was cheating on her.  

Zoe acts like she's almost a pre teen with her romantic misadventures, and it's kind of disturbing.  

Brooke, enough with all the Quinn shit.  She  just looks like an absolute idiot ranting like this.  I mean she's going to technically be right when all this was over, but she's right by accident.  I like Brooke, so I hate seeing her make a fool of herself constantly going after people like Quinn and Thomas.  They've done far worse things, but Brooke winds up making them look like the victims.  

I will say, though, that she/KKL has been looking phenomenal lately imo.

For the first time in years Show was giving me something worth watching.

If you can forgive Flo and Shauna for their roles in VegasGate, then you should be able to forgive Quinn too. One thing that we have to remember is that primetime shows don't have the same time constraints that soaps do with recording so much in a short amount of time.  In particular, I don't think that they typically get multiple takes.  I've seen several soap actors off of soaps; and they usually look like much better actors when they have more breathing room.
