I had a thought that I can get behind re Robyn.  She is the only legal wife and the only one Kody digs.  SHE files for divorce (while Ariola is young), gets child support, alimony, the house and Kody has lost everything and everyone.  He has to watch his ex wives living their best lives.  😂

And since Robyn would be probably remember her mom’s advice for Robyn to get her scent out there, she’d get some man right away that would also take ALL Kody’s money so they’d probably take his truck and dirt patch on CP too. Here is my thought. I think Robyn didn't care who she married as long as it got her out of her apartment or trailer with the 3 kids. She wanted someone to come in and take care of her and the kids, that is why I think she chose polygamy, she was able to move in to a decent rennal on the Brown's dime, dump her Victoria secret bills on the counter and said here you go. I don't think Kody having multiple wives bothered her as long as she got what she wanted. As much as I snark on the other SW's about their scams of making money, at least they are doing it. Maybe they had to because it was Robyn's demand that she had the best of everything, not only getting Kodys affections, but any extra cash. How could anyone with any decency be ok with one sisterwife jumping from rental to rental and then resorting to having to buy an RV just so she had a place to sleep. She is the puppet master to her puppet Kody.

Yup.  Sobbyn has her hand up Kootie's butt (the RobFather thing) and a firm grip on his (probably) tiny balls.  Anyone who thinks Sobbyn doesn't call the shots, is, IMO, not paying attention.  She's in charge and loving it, but I hope the bloom is off the rose, and she's finding that asswipe hard to dill with.  Nobody deserves his tantrums more!

I just watched a show on youtube all about Robyn and how she destroyed the family. It had taken clips of her to example this. We already knew this of course but it was very interesting. When Janelle said Kody is fine with something then he goes away for a few days and then everything changes. He is such a moron. Robyn controls the whole damn family. She is a very ugly person.

Exactly I remember that and right away I thought Robyn probably chewed Kody out and told him that no way in hell were they moving back to Utah and he needed to smarten up and toe the line!

I think it really depended on where Dayton was going to school.  At one point Kody had said he had 4 homes picked out, one for each wife in St. George.  He is making these plans without telling any of his wives.

She has confessed a number of times how hard it can be to live with Kody fulltime over the last couple of episodes and during the previous season. I tend to believe her, particularly because she looks so worn, exhausted and unhappy compared to earlier years.

My gut tells me it's really Kody who doesn't want to go back to his nomadic existence of racing from one house to the next and "looking after" 4 instead of 1 family.  And Roby discovered that having Kody to herself is actually a living nightmare. It wouldn't surprise me if she secretly wants to go back to some form of polygamy, just to have Kody off her back for a little bit and because of the steady cashflow Meri and Janelle provide. It could pay for her nanny and if she has one, she doesn't need Kody 24/7 to look after them either.

Imo Kody has always loved Robyn more than she loved him.  That video of him awkward whipping her around the dance floor was so ridiculously awful. Kody is out there like a fool all uncoordinated and spastic wildly jerking Robyn around the dance floor while Robyn is probably counting down the seconds until the song is over.  I think Robyn likes when she can manipulate Kody but I do think Kody has gone half over the edge at times and some of his nonsense is from his failure to see he is a poor leader that has limited intelligence and poor people skills.  In a way he is an imposter that is pretending to have loving human emotions towards others, but he lacks empathy so he can only process others emotions as how they make him feel.  It does not occur to him that they also can feel. I think this leaves Robyn spending most of her time trying to reign in Kody so he can think what she thinks, but it’s getting harder and harder because the others aren’t placating Kody as much which causes him to emotionally short-circuit and get angry.  Meanwhile Robyn is just sittin’ there trying not to have a seizure while explaining things to Kody like he’s 5.  It’s probably why she looks constipated during her talking heads, she’s probably told him his lines 100 times knowing damn well a gnat is going to distract him and he’s going to go off script 30 seconds in and make her look how she is awful.

She indeed seems to see herself as the family scapegoat. She's said so herself a few times on the show.  I also agree with you that she realises that Kody is pretty screwed up. Again as she said so a few times and certainly looks like she's exhausted (and desperate?) 

But I do think she is aware of the role she played in this mess . She may not believe it's all her fault, but she knows many of the current problems lead back to her and the rather dubious parts she's played over the years, making her a major cause for the family falling apart the way it did.

Exactly plus I don’t believe for one second that Robyn is living with an angry man, I think she says that to make it look like she’s treated just like all the other wives and has her share of struggles like everyone else.

Not necessarily. From personal experience, I can tell you that IF Robyn wants to be vindictive, she can get an order to have him pay child support until all her kids are emancipated.

Yeah, unless you have a private contract to the contrary (some parents include college tuition and expenses in their support agreement that goes after age 18), most support obligations end at age 18 or graduation from high school, whichever is later. Unless, the child has special needs and is incapable of working, which often means the adult child gets disability and a Social Security check.  And that check would go the the child or the child’s guardian.

Apparently the person (whose personal experience I'm referencing) must have had a very high profile divorce attorney because her husband wound up paying child support until the "child" graduated from college and got a full-time job. Only then was the "child" considered fully emancipated by the judge (at that time).

Edited to add: The "child" in question was NOT special needs. The mother simply had the word "emancipated" put in her custody agreement as it related to child support.

My daughter is a family law specialist.  Yes, she has cases where college is agreed to be covered even though it isn't required in California.  My own college was covered in my parents' divorce.  It was not "child support."  My father paid me directly.  Many times an educational trust is created.  That is not vindictive, but making sure the child doesn't suffer from the divorce.  It's a long way from saying Robyn could make Kody pay forever because her kids stayed at home. Currently it would be completely dependent on Arizona law and the agreements between the parties for the Browns. People can always agree to be reasonable parents and not try to stiff their own children.  I'm pretty sure there were qualifiers on the child being supported until they had employment also.

Just read the posts about child support and I wonder the word “child support” is (maybe incorrectly?) used for all forms of financial support? A bit like what @Absolom tried to explain? Not that it matters what it’s called. If a parent is ordered to pay he or she will have to, whether it’s college funds or costs of living. 

As for Robyn’s eldest three… iirc, no one out here has ever found any official proof of the adoption. The scene in the courtroom seemed very fake and it is strange that a father would willingly sign his kids away when he is still in touch (they have been known to regularly visit their bio dad) I have wondered whether the adoption was legally real, or more of a spiritual adoption like Kody’s marriages? If he has never legally adopted them, I doubt Robyn could claim anything…that leaves just the youngest two. But kody has never paid for any of his kids, so I doubt he’ll willingly do so here, unless he was forced. Just my thoughts on a hypothetical situation…

I remember that court scene. At the time many of us commented that the adoption scene would probably not have been allowed to be filmed. Many some of our amazing internet sleuths can continue to investigate.

One of the reasons stated for the adoption was that if anything happened to Robyn her kids could remain with the Brown family. Now some have aged out and the youngest two are Browns anyway. Also, there is no “Brown family” to go to since Christine and probably Janelle are gone. Maybe that’s what Meri is hoping for, to raise Robyn’s kids with Kody.

I know Savannah would have never said it, but I would have looked at them and said.  Well maybe if ya'll weren't living in a million dollar house, my dad could afford to help my mom get a place to live.  As it is he is supporting three grown adults, who should be out of the house.  According to him anyone who is graduated from high school should be on their own.  Like the rest of the Brown kids.
