THIS is why Janelle is a terrible “coach” and has no business in a health related profession. It is important to know how things work, even if you’re just doing it to yourself. “Oh, I don’t know it just works”. Way to go, Janelle.

Janelle is lazy and, in my observation, has demonstrated severe ignorance and stupidity in things health-related. I know, I’ve read all the reasonings that she has depression and a poor metabolism and so on. Ya know what, so do others, myself included. I have to train for 90 minutes a day and eat just 1500 plant based calories to stay a size 8. So I know how hard it is.

She should not be representing herself as a health professional. At all. It’s fine she has struggles, but she’s gotta stop the health coach charade.

Janelle—just put it on pause. Get back to everyone when you’ve found success and actually learned something. FFS.  All these Browns seem to have some form of delusion.

It appears that Janelle wants to be a team player and contribute to the maintenance of her own family, above from is allotted to her from the TLC pool, or possibly she throws any income derived from her ill-advised Strive and Plexus plans into the common pool so that it could be plundered to maintain Robyn's lifestyle.

I realize that she has been absent from the general workforce for some years and technology has probably advanced beyond her skill set and also, her age would be a factor if she sought regular employment.  I believe that her background was in financial administration for the government and on the show it's been stated that she handles the family 50 page income tax forms.  Why does she not go with something where she can utilize the abilities she does have, maybe bookkeeping for local small businesses and preparing income tax returns for individuals as well as businesses.

The only fly in that ointment would be that this would not be an MLM endeavor, and there would not be the prospect of sitting back while the drones in the downline do the work.

Does Barcalounger or La-Z-Boy need a comfort tester for their furniture?  If I were looking for a bookkeeper or tax preparer, I wouldn't choose Janelle.  If she can't take a photo without noticing the details (chipped plates & dirty dishes in the frame) or take the time to run the dishwasher, how would anyone feel confident in her getting the numbers & decimal points in the right places?

You are right about that, she couldn't very well tell her accounting employers to Google it themselves.

I have a cousin who has always worked from home as a bookkeeper & taxpreparer for small businesses in her town, where she has lived for over 40 years and they have been her clients because they know the quality & timeliness of her work, and her as a person and as an active and reliable member of the community.  Not someone who might skip town tomorrow.  With Janelle, who knows? Not even Janelle.

I know that Mormons love a good MLM, but for the life of me I cannot see why Janelle wouldn't want to get a job in an office or in a call center or bagging groceries at Trader Joe's or literally ANYTHING other than a sad fitness scheme for which she is wholly unqualified.  Christine too, for that matter.  Meri might be doing okay with her LLR, and Kody will make sure that Robyn and her spawn never go without - she'd have Kody dancing on a street corner wearing a "Going Out of Business" sign before her babies suffered the injustice of having to share a bedroom.  But Janelle knows the security that comes with a regular paycheck and health insurance because she's been there before.  Once this show dries up and blows away like a tumbleweed drifting across Cah-O-Tah Pahhhss, Janelle is on her own, because Kody will still have two kids to pay for (well, three because I don't see Aurora ever leaving her mother's side).  The time to get a rill job is right now, BEFORE the show ends and Robyn packs up Kody and her kids and flees to the next location of Robyn's choosing.  Janelle and Christine should be scared out of their minds, because no one is going to come to their rescue.

My guess is that a real job requires getting up, dressed, and out of the house every day and that's just beyond her capabilities.  You actually have to show up and accomplish something other than toasting sweet potatoes to get a paycheck.

Janelle did a live asking , at what point are we considered old? It had to do with clothes shopping, and when she goes to use Savanah’s phone, she’s told she’s old. She said, “I’ve been so busy doing the work.......I haven’t kept up with technology.”

Always busy.

She also said she was outside so Savanah wouldn’t hear what she was saying.

I get Janelle not having having a job because I count the show as her job even with the supposed pay cut. I personally don’t count whatever she does with Strive as a job.   Now, I’m not saying the show is a large amount, but these people have finessed a lot more with a lot less.  Janelle seems depressed, but it really seemed as though she used working outside the home as an escape and well somebody had to pay the bills.  I honestly think if she did get some sort of money-making scheme together, Kody would be there with hat in hand explaining why Robyn needs new VS jeans or he needs new curlers. Unlike Meri, who is off #LivingHerWhyWithColdCash, I think Janelle would have a harder time saying no to Kody.  I also think she is somewhat clueless raising kids because Christine and Logan did a lot of the heavy lifting.  Part of me is hoping she’s skimming off the top off the Brown LLC and will ride off into the sunset in a refurbished trailer designed by Garrison while leaving a trail of toaster bags and canned cabbage whenever Sister Wives comes to an end.  It’s not that I really like Janelle, it’s that I probably hate her least.

New way of traveling with masks?  So all of those trips you made all through the throes of the pandemic were without masks?  A little late to the party, aren't you?  God, what morons.

Slim and Dandy with Sandy does have a nice ring, BUT, there must have been a mix up with Primetime assignment of comments, that was TurtlePower's comment you quoted.  I'm a big meat eater and it's been a while since I was a size 8.

Looking forward to Janelle's next "Strive" post with a photo of herself chugging Plexus.  There's no way Maddie doesn't get her mom on her downline.

She may already be on the downline, see ginger90's post of March 13.  She may just have been promoting it for Maddie, but she was offering $50. off coupons to get you started.

She and Maddie were also going to do a promotion together online while she’s visiting. It was scheduled for Sunday. You had to sign up with them (free) to be included. I was tempted for the possible snark value, but didn’t. 😁

Sweaty selfie :

I'm sure that Maddie's backyard is bigger and better ventilated than her living room.  And, they could have taken a walk around the neighborhood and enjoyed each other's company, instead of wearing headphones, working out separately, independent of each other.

I will credit Janelle for implying that she actually planned to work out on her travel, like when she used to write about packing her yoga blocks and mat in her suitcases, and she actually followed through.  Maybe Kody taught her to always bring her running shoes, like he did for their Darger lunch.  I will slam Maddie for turning the sweaty selfie into her latest shill - her workout gear.  At least we don't have to hear that they recovered with Plexus.

I hope Janelle got the vaccine before she left for Maddie's. I believe morbidly obese qualifies in AZ. If not, perhaps as an "entertainer" "production crew member" or some such designation. The show must go on.

Now that they are all spread out in Flagstaff, she may be shy about bringing friends from school home as there may be prying questions about why her Dad isn't around much.  There probably aren't a lot of polygamous families in Flagstaff and she may be reluctant for their family situation to be revealed.

She may also be somewhat embarrassed by the house they are living in.   It looks like an okay ranch house, but if some of the kids at her school or in their neighborhood  have heard of the show and googled an episode or so of it, they know that Savannah lived in a rilly, rilly nice place in Las Vegas, but is now living in what looks like a 4 bedroom, 2 bath ranch with probably 1/4 the square footage of the place in LV.  Only Robyn ended up with a nicer house in Flagstaff.  Well, Meri's is probably nicer than LV, but it is only a rental.  Christine also downsized, but even her house looks nicer than Janelle's.

When I originally watched the show I never paid that much attention to the LV houses.  I did notice that they were large, and I thought the houses were more than they could afford, but I didn't really look at the outside.  Now I have been pausing the show just to look at the houses.   They were indeed very large.  Janelle is practical enough probably not to care.   I hate her taste in home decor, but with 4 boys I can understand why all her furniture is brown.

Janelle was recently packing up her mother's house.  I am hoping that her mother who was a nurse had enough assets to leave Janelle an inheritance.  (the claim is that Janelle and her mom were both disowned by their family so her mom probably left everything to her if that is true). I just hope that if Janelle gets some money from her mom's estate that she doesn't share even a penny with any other wife.

From what I have read, Janelle had an inheritance (possibly from a grandparent?) that enabled them to buy the Lehi house, and I think she also cashed in her 401K to contribute further.  The original title to that house showed that Janelle alone was on the title, then within a week or so, Kody was added and a short time later Meri was added.  The house fell into disrepair and wound up as a short sale, so her investment was lost.

At this point, it seems that Janelle is the most committed of the 5 spouses to keep this union alive and it would not surprise me if she did inherit from her mother, that she would toss it into the communal pot. Sad.

Janelle's rental house in Flagstaff is surprisingly worth more than Christine's house in Flagstaff.  Zillow says Janelle's rental is worth $743,000 and has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms for 2786 square feet.  Christine's is only worth $663,000 with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for 2400 square feet, but it comes with a ton of land.  That shows you the high price of real estate in Flagstaff, since their Las Vegas houses were around 4,000 sq feet and sold for around $575,000.

Is Janelle's a ranch?  That's a huge (expansive) home if so.  I'd be hard-pressed to find a nearly 2,800 sq ft ranch in my neck of the woods.  It'd almost certainly be a colonial.  Or a split level.

As I'm creeping up the aging ladder (51 now) I'm understanding the appeal of 1-level living more and more. I live in a 2-story townhouse, + basement, and I'm longing for 1 level!!!

Is this where Gabe lives?  Or Garrison?  It looks like a decent enough crashpad for a male kidult, but it also looks like the rest of Janelle's house done in shades of poo brown and mustard, complete with musty futon bed, so it could be her portion of the house for all I know.  I don't understand these people and their houses.

Looks like my son's first apartment when he was in college. Stove was next to freezer, so freezer was always partially melted. I have no idea how that kid didn't get food poisoning, but I suspect he has a super strong immune system as a result.

She says she is committed, but I think she is aware that Meri isn't and that Christine is or isn't depending on her mood.  There will never be a family home for all four wives as long as Christine can veto it.     I would think losing all that money earlier by  contributing to the family pot and losing it would make her disinclined to share a second time.

OMG!  What now Janelle?

Okay, I am a reasonably intelligent, well educated adult whose first language is English, and I don’t know WTF she’s talking about. I mean I understand the individual words, but all together it’s a giant stinky unintelligible mess. (Having typed that, I know see why it appeals to Janelle).

The description of Blue Russ is antithetical to Janelle, the logical, rational one, as she tells us each week.

  • Mindful mama who uses holistic practices to fuel herself & her family,
  • Master Coach who uses her brilliant intuition to help heart-centered womxn
  • Magically help you create the perfect amount of space to carve a path right to your next big adventure

The last bullet's particularly stupid, since an adventure should not be rigidly defined, direct and constrained.

Janelle is obviously not a client herself.  Or, if she is, she is no success story.  Do they really think that people are going to pay $1300 for this?  Is that based upon the market for Strive with Janelle?  I wonder what her cut is, and I hope that she charged Blue Russ some fee for the affiliation.  Grifters gotta grift.

I hope someone is brave enough to watch the video and report back.

Notice in the video, Janelle begins by saying Blue is actually her name. Then she starts to say her name is actually what attracted her, then quickly switched to “drew” her. 🤦‍♀️

If you don't want your food to taste like feet, store the Tupperware in a high cabinet.  It is also safer to keep lightweight things on the high shelves and heavy things in the lower cupboards.  All of the toddlers in my family are pictured (and heard in videos) with pots, pans, measuring cups and spoons.  The only thing I remember from my first home as a toddler is the linoleum kitchen floor, which had (intentional) red, white & yellow paint spatters on a brown background, like a Jackson Pollock painting. It also caused optical illusions of the floor being closer or farther away depending on which colour you focused on.  It was ugly, yet entrancing.
