Who knows how much of that photo is filtered but if I didn't know either one of them, I'd guess that Meri was the teacher and Mariah the student - Meri's form is better.

I can't believe that Meri is not a fan of yoga - her daughter being one of the eminent yoga teachers of our time, after all.

I am weird about body hair. On me.  I hate it.  I even use Nair on my arms to get rid of the blonde hair I have there.  And on my face to get rid of peach fuzz. 
No idea why.  I remember being about 6 years old and my mom getting mad at me cuz I used her shaver to shave my arms.

If Meri is looking for validation, all she has to do is join one of the many Sister Wives FB sites.  She will find supportive posts there that offer reasons/excuses for her straying from the fold.  One of the more common themes is "Well, Kody was cheating with 3 other women" missing entirely the concept of plural marriage.  Another is "I don't blame her, Kody was ignoring her with Robyn, his shiny new toy".  Again, finding an excuse for her behavior and bypassing the fact that she was doing this on the sly.  

Instead of using Brene Brown a a source for guidance, perhaps Meri should have used her Bible.  From Luke (I think), "What is done in the darkness will come to light".

I'd have empathy for her if she were more "real" versus the superficial side she keeps displaying. I want to have empathy for her, but she keeps coming off as a jerk.

I know we all, including me, rag on Meri a lot - much of it justified. But sometimes, like tonight, I think of her with some compassion. Her father had several wives (4 maybe?) so she probably never got any attention from him. In their book she is described as a "wallflower" - meaning very shy. Possibly depressed. She meets "golden boy" Kody (well, to her, he was) and suddenly seems to have everything. Love, attention, companionship, a travel buddy. Along comes her sister-in-law and well, we all know what transpired there. That was so rotten of Kody, picking Janelle. And he probably did it because Meri wasn't having babies. Meri gives Janelle hell but Janelle, of course, takes it. And gets revenge by popping out kids on the regular. Then there's chirpy Christine, another brood mare. 

Meri plays the victim but in a sense she was the victim - of a religion that devalues women completely. Especially women who can't breed repeatedly. 

I don't blame her for the catfish at all. I do feel sorry for her that she was in such deep delusion that she believed a rich, world-traveling handsome younger man had fallen for her. I've seen some of the transcripts of their convos, and she's basically begging "him" to stick around and apologizing for whatever lapses/misdeeds he's accusing her of. So sad how desperate she was for attention.

MLMs are shady, exploitive and should be illegal, but at least she has generated some fun, a sense of purpose and some money out of it (albeit at the expense of others). If not for Lula and Lizzie's what would she really have? An obnoxious grudge-holding grunge daughter who seems to prefer her father over her mother. And 3 sister wives who would probably be delighted never to see her again.

Kootie said in one of the first episodes that Meri's father had 5 wives.  I wonder if her bio mom Bonnie still associates with any of them.  Christine has said she had a bonus mom that she was seemingly close to.  I don't remember Meri saying anything about her four 'bonus' moms.

Meri has likened herself to her dad before.  With five wives, he was apparently a selfish oaf, and that's the kind of husband she settled for, as well.

I think she's acknowledging that trees aren't so bad after all.  At this point, I think she would live in a tree house if Kody appointed her HBIC again.  Even Robyn overcame her phobia about forest fires, when a million dollar house was situated in a grove of trees.

You are so right about the shorts, way to tight and the polyester is not designed for airiness.

Yes but, Meri WAS WARNED that "Sam" was not an actual person. By her own daughter and by acquaintances when the relationship was beginning. Then, when it all went south, Meri played victim as if she had the wool pulled over her eyes the whole time. This is not the case.

I don't think that Meri would be a suitable candidate for gastric bypass surgery.  She doesn't seem to carry much excess weight, the "thickness" seems to come from her bone structure, and no amount of dieting or surgery will alter that.   She must take after her father, Bonnie appears to be delicately fine boned.

She was quite thin in season 1; anyone can diet/exercise their way to thinness. It would take a lot of effort as I agree, she has a large bone structure. I agree she's no candidate for gastric bypass. She's not obese--just an average, overweight middle-aged woman.

My comment was aimed at the LulaNo pressure for gastric sleeve surgery.  I wrongly identified it as gastric bypass. 

The owner of the company likes the salesforce to be Size Small or Medium and strongly encourages them to go to a particular clinic in Mexico for the procedure.  

Mary is high enough in the pyramid that I'd expect her to be facing that pressure.  Maybe her Z-List celebrity status or her body-positive daughter is a counterforce.

Taking a shot in the dark here but perhaps UM (tree) UM (tree) UM  = Om (tree) Om (tree) Om?  Om as in Om chanting for meditation?

Meri has always liked the trees - she was the one who preferred the properties on the hillside with the dense trees, it was only Robyn who was afraid of the potential fires.

I suspect Meri is not being pressured in the same way other reps may be as I think her "celebrity" status and the many eyes (aka potential customers/retailers) she brings with her affords her some leeway that others do not enjoy.

My son had a gastric sleeve bypass. It's no picnic, and no quick trip to Mexico. He went through a long program of medical, psychological, and nutritional counseling and demonstrated his commitment and understanding before the surgery. He's lost over 200 pounds! He also walks three miles almost every day. It's a lifestyle change. 

Meri is probably not heavy enough, and Janelle, who would likely benefit more, is not focused enough. 

Why does LLN want thin consultants? The clothes are shapeless bags made of reject fabric runs that flatter no one. LLN's market is heavier women, and that's fine, although there are better options available.
