I'm not a social media person so I don't understand the need to post every little thing about your life for the world to see. Pretty sure only people you know well give a crap that you scraped your knee.

Exactly my thoughts.  I don't give a rat's patoot about her boo-boos. STFU about stupid drivel.

But I get she had an outpouring of sympathy from her sheeple.

Nice photo editing, Saje81 LOL.  When she carved "Sam" on her leg did Meri break the skin or just scratch it lightly with a fingernail or something?  (I FF'd through the past cat-fishing episodes).

I don't think she broke the skin, because at that time, she may still have been on the one day out of four rotation schedule, and she would have had some 'splaining to do.

Those kind of legs were once referred to as "piano legs."  hehe

First time I’ve seen that..

I’ve seen the result of someone scratching a name on themselves. I have never seen it done with block letters. Oh Meri.....

And yet she continues to insist they were “just friends”. Yeah, I know I scratch my friends name on my body all the time, send them suggestive photos involving bananas, etc.

There were wide angle shots when she scratched Sam's name on her leg, it was definitely Meri's bathroom.

Meri might try to 'splain that away by saying she let JO (posing as Lindsay) take a bath at her home when she attended a LIV Water meeting at her home.

The person who writes the linked blog is presenting the tweets as if they happened this week, but they are word-for-word the tweets from a few months ago. All of the details posted in the blog, including "she shut down her account," are from the original story.

I remember seeing the original photo when it was posted and it wasn't so grainy and "blown up" looking.  If you look on the show at the lay out of Meri's house and that couch of hers with the thick dark trim along the back, that's the couch under the arm.  If it isn't Meri's arm, it's someone who did it in Meri's house.

The Alice in Wonderland print is ok but it's on leggings. I just don't know what I'd wear them with.

I only wear those to the Disney parks OR as a layer under my work pants. A solid black/grey/white sweatshirt would work with the leggings, or pink. They are very very very warm underneath dress pants in the winter. I take public transit to work and they saved my life. Non binding and they don’t bunch.

Living My Why is a thing LLR started. I'm willing to bet 'because i can' is another

Leadership just depends on how much inventory you buy and probably who many people you have under you.

I wonder what Meri will do once LulaRoe DOES go under, if she has any sense (which is doubtful) she has kept some liquid cash and doesn't have all her money tied up in inventory.

I can see Meri leading her faithful followers onward to another MLM marketing scheme.  Easy money and immediately more rewarding in terms of cash than going back to school and becoming a social worker as she claimed she intended to do when she bailed on SW Closet with Robyn.

Yep... almost every LLR consultant I've seen go out of business has moved onto another MLM clothing business. There are so many that are owned by family members of the LLR owners and usually that's where people gravitate - and then somehow leave those and end up in their own business where they somehow find other suppliers to buy from and create their own 'boutique' of sorts. People remodel their houses to create shops within their houses so they probably find it really hard to just give it up and desperately grab from the next thing.

Yes, what happened to that, Meri? I'd love to see that explained on the show.

I mean, I know the answer...the Browns are "get rich quick scheme" people, not get an education and actually WORK people...I'd just like to see Meri try to explain why she gave up on something she said she wanted so badly.

And how Robyn feels about it...she was mad as hell at the time, and now Meri never even completed any schooling that we know of. That has to stick in her craw.

Meri got a barb in at Robyn this week. At the meeting of the minds, she said "Who sees any My Sister Wife's Closet money?"

Robyn replied "It helped at tax time." So basically she admitted the business doesn't make money and is merely a tax write-off at this point.

That's probably why Pudge claims to be studying to be a social worker.  Ain't that sweet?  Taking up the torch for mommy.

Honestly, those two have to be the least suited ones, personality-wise, to interact with the public on ANY level.

Wow, I don't know how I missed that, and I watched this episode twice! I think Robyn really does believe in MSWC and wanted to make it a successful business. Remember when they were selling the jewelry at a craft fair or trade show? I felt bad that they did not really sell that much.

That's my problem - I'm always feeling bad for everyone!

They were all talking over each other, it was hard to hear...I thought I heard it, then I rewound and put on the closed captioning to make sure. And sure enough, that's what Meri said. I'm surprised Robyn took it that well.

She probably didn't take it too well, later on, in private. Bet Kody got an ear full.

I heard Meri say that too, but assumed Robyn meant that the few bucks of profit she made on MSWC went toward taxes; presumably any losses can be claimed against earnings in the LLC but not against the fambly pot (which I imagine looks like a Lizzie's antique chamber pot).

I wonder if the IRS has been after them since Robyn, Janelle and Kody all mentioned paying taxes like good little taxpayers.  All the talk of equity partnerships makes me wonder if any of the wives understand that you share in the profits, but also the losses.  Did Brian & Cody's business lose money? Kody thought he'd be getting at least $40K from the liquidation to pay back the loan he took from the fambly and loan Meri money, but there is only ~$20K left.  Kody mentioned that none of them have retirement money set aside.  The person I really worry about is Christine.  I gather that she has not worked for pay and paid social security premiums for most of her life and she is not eligible for survivor benefits since she's not married to the goon.  At least Christine is very nice so one of the kids will probably take her in in her dotage.

Wasn't Meri the only one on Sobbyn's side when she wanted money to start up MSWC?  Janelle, Kody & Christine worried that it could hurt rather than help the fambly finances.

I think Robyn thought MSWC would do well.  Janelle was right it was just going to be a hobby business.  Was never going to make much money.    What was sad about the situation is despite it not making much money, she expected Meri to do all the inventory and packaging and invoicing and mailing.  Basically wanted someone to do most of the physical work.  I think everyone knew that they wouldn't see any money from Robyn's venture and definitely nothing from Meri.  But they all depended on Janelle to bring home a big paycheck each week.  Janelle didn't get much from her paycheck.  I think she got super depressed and panicky when Robyn and her three kids came along, knowing they were going to have to support 4 more people, with no additional money coming in and no prospect of any coming in.  Robyn never intended to work at a job.

I agree, Robyn thought she'd take the world by storm. She fancies herself to be quite the jewelry "designer"...sorry but to me, when your jewelry designs are things like honey bees, dragon flies, etc...that's not new. Not that creative. Not a "wow" factor. I love dragon flies, I think they're super cute, but I can buy them almost anywhere for WAY less money. To me, "designer" means you're creating something nobody has EVER thought of before. Maybe that is not what Robyn ever meant by the term designer, but it's what I think of.

The few pieces Robyn did design that are quite unique were centered around the use of the letters "S" and "W" for Sister Wife. But, she quickly pointed out, it could also mean strong woman! Sorry, don't care, Robyn. I don't need to wear an "SW" charm to know I'm a strong woman. I would imagine everyone would look at my jewelry & think "her initials aren't SW, what the hell's the matter with her?"

Most of the comments I've seen about her jewelry imply that people think it's way too expensive for what they're getting. They overestimated their "star power", once again.

I have no idea what tasks she expected Meri to do, so I can't comment on that. Whatever it was, Meri didn't want to do it.

I agree, Janelle was right about it being a hobby business, but I still remember the look on Robyn's face when Janelle used that term. She was VERY offended.

I also agree that Robyn never intended to really work at an actual job. For pete's sake, the woman thinks she needs live-in childcare just to run her silly jewelry business.

I just visited My SW Closet and noticed that the focus has changed from the original concept of high end jewelry to much lower priced items.  The designer shirts made me smile, because they only go up to a smallish size 18. in a family of full-featured women, none of the wives could wear them!

And then there was that Victoria's Secret bill.  That would have sent me to the knife drawer.  Janelle is keeping the whole crowd in food and housing while expected to pay for the Sobyn's dainties.

Oh I remember when some of their stuff was in the Silverton Casino. When Ilived in town, I went to check it out and was like, really? What tourist in Vegas is going to want to buy this stuff? Did they think they were going to sell products like Mariah Cary, Jennifer Lopez or Britney Spears? It was laughable.

They really are totally delusional about their "celebrity" status.  Even if that stuff had been unique and high quality, there is a very limited audience for anything related to polygamy.  And from what we've seen on shows like Escaping Polygamy, other sheep wives are definitely not vacationing in Vegas.  They are too busy dumpster diving to feed their legions of kids.

Not to be mean, but can she shop in her size there?  I’m pretty small and when I have visited VS in the past they rarely carry sizes that fit my normal sized friends.

Janelle should just say no to buying Sobyn’s sexy wear. She should focus on finding a seamstress who could make some nighties or other intimate clothes for herself in luxury fabrics. Fabrics that Cody will want to touch.

This was a VS bill she brought into the marriage.  Not sure if the sex wear was for Kootie in his courting days or was for the allegedly abusive cookie-stealing husband.  Either way, ick.

When Robyn was attempting to justify her VS secret debt, she claimed the purchases were for jeans, not lingerie.  She said that VS was the only place that carried jeans to fit her l-o-n-g limber legs.  I have never noticed that she had particularly long legs and I'm pretty sure that even Old Navy carry various lengths.

This rationale from a woman that claimed she didn't even have a crib for her child, who had to sleep in a drawer as an infant.  I think I'd be wearing floods instead of bedding my baby down for the night in a dresser drawer.

It was actually pajama pants, not jeans, which to me is even more bizarre because how many pairs of pajama pants does a person need?!?

If they are paying all the required  taxes on their income from the show, this will include the self-employment tax, and that is the tax required to be eligible for Social Security and Medicare.   This assumes that the Browns are thinking ahead to retirement.

Self-employed individuals generally must pay self-employment tax (SE tax) as well as income tax. SE tax is a Social Security and Medicare tax primarily for individuals who work for themselves. It is similar to the Social Security and Medicare taxes withheld from the pay of most wage earners. In general, anytime the wording "self-employment tax" is used, it only refers to Social Security and Medicare taxes and not any other tax (like income tax).
