Cowboys just scored!  FWIW, that game could come down to the end.  Niners have stalled recently.  Basically, it's what CBS, the league and whomever else wanted (close Dallas/San Francisco game that comes down to the end)

Meh I like Tom Brady. Don't kill me.

I became a fan once he joined the Bucs.  We suffered for far too long before that!   Of course, it was just sour grapes on my part for all of his winning seasons with the Patriots, but having seen his relationship with the Buc's players, well, he won me over!  He and Gronk are pretty funny whenever they're together.

I'm glad that Ryan Jensen made it back out onto the field.  It looked like he got bent backwards and possibly hurt his back early in the game, but he's as tough as they come, and I wouldn't doubt if he finished the game in a lot of pain.  Hopefully he's okay.  Then there's Tristan Wirfs with an ankle injury.  Damn!  It seems like the Bucs can't go an entire quarter without someone getting injured.

As much as it pains me to root against any former Bama player, I have to pull for our Buc's team.  Sorry, Jalen & Davonta!  I will root for you guys when you're not playing the Bucs.  As much as I always disliked the Patriots, I find myself rooting for Mac.  That was quite a blowout with the Bills though.  Yikes!   It was fun watching the former Bama QBs making their debut in the NFL this season.  I'm proud of all of them.

Leave it to the Cowboys to end the game in the most bizarre way possible.

And sure, Dak lost the game on an ill advised scramble.  But on the plus side, he was named Nickelodeon Valuable Player, so he now has something in common with Mitch Trubisky.

I ain't even mad.   The Cowboys HAD A CHANCE.   But they kept penalizing themselves.   But STILL they ALMOST DID IT.   Next year Boys.   Work on the self-discipline in the off season.   (getting rid of McCarthy might not be a bad idea who is just a more experienced version of Jason Garrett).

Micah Parsons is going to be terrorizing QBs for a looooong time to come.

It makes losing worthwhile.

Plus, Prescott has something in common with Chuck Howley!  It's a win-win-win!

I wonder how many Patrick Price commercials there will be during the Chiefs game.

There's nothing great about skipping my local festivities to watch the game with my crew.  However, it's still a wildcard game where the Steelers are probably not going to advance (which is why it sucks to miss what would be the final game).

However, the weather here is totally bad & not safe for travel.  Plus, in case I don't want to drive, Uber & Lyft is likely not an option.  In addition, public transportation, if available, will be more miss than hit.

Anyway, had I gone elsewhere, I'd be subject to those commercials.  Whenever I control the stuff, it's changing the channel to avoid those overrun ads.  Finally, I'll have the radio broadcast on (tuning out Collinsworth is not a federal crime)

Is either team trying to win?

Early on, Al Michaels had that tone in his voice - "How did I, the great Al Michaels, get this dog of a game?"  I think he's coming to terms with it.  Probably remembered the millions he's getting for calling the game.

Mike McCarthy can take some comfort that his team's loss sticks it to the team that fired him.  I think the team the Packers least wanted to face is the 49ers.  With Rodgers at QB, the Packers are 0-3 in the playoffs against San Francisco.  As a Packers fan, I hope Rodgers gets asked about that 60 or 70 times this week.  And perhaps some reporters could remind him that the 49ers drafted Alex Smith instead of him.

I'm really torn.  I loathe Roethlisberger (the pig) but as a loyal fan of Wisconsin football, I can't help but root for TJ and Derek Watt.

Whether the Cowboys win or lose, a bucket of slime should be dumped on Jerry Jones.

What's worse: that or Mayo?

Why not both?! His sadness will always make me happy.

Undisputed & First Take is going to be fun to watch tomorrow.

Here is the song to celebrate Dem Boyz going down today. I'm certain that bragging about winning that NFC East was worth it to these losers.

Even better.  Ketchup & Green Slime, but Mustard over Mayo.  That way, you'd officially get the most expensive traffic light in the history of Planet Earth.  No wonder he darted so fast from his press box!

It was absolutely hilarious to be proud of that this year, when it was about as big an accomplishment as being the top-rated public access show in Weeki Wachee.

Really not great games.

Three blowouts.  Cincy didnt blowout raiders but were in control pretty much all game.  And Dallas San Fran at the end both teams kept trying to lose with Dak making the final dumb mistake.

Meh.  The officiating was horrible in the Bengals/Raiders game.  Cincy was in position to win, but they didn't control things that much, if at all.  To be fair, Vegas had chances and blew it.  The better team won that game.  That first game had the potential to be a classic, but the refs decided they were more important.  Still, it was better than every other game except Dallas/San Francisco

I guess Kansas City was toying with Steelers in the first quarter and finally decided to take the game seriously in the second.

Non-touching tribute to Roethlisburger at the end.

I didn't notice any Patrick Price commercials tonight. Maybe it's only CBS. I did see a Tom Trade and a Kyler Katastrophe commercial.

Bengals had at least a seven point lead from second quarter on and win probability whole second half for Bengals was over 75 percent.

Vegas had their chances to tie but never threatened to take a lead.

This is not breaking news, but watching the presser reinforces that Jimmy Garoppolo may be the best-looking QB in NFL history.

Phil Simms will always hold a place of honor in my heart, and Michael Vick is stunning, but Jimmy G. … *fans self*

Ben Roethlisberger - family man.  Hokay.

FWIW, he's turned his life around since his debacle, but no.  They needed to pump the brakes there.  Respect his career.  He's Canton Bound.  That's all that needs to be said.  Still respect him more than Joe Mixon & even Tyreek Hill, but family man?  I guess so, but...nah...

Game Times & Networks For The Divisional Round:

Cincinnati at Tennessee (01/22 @ 4:30 on CBS)
San Francisco at Green Bay (01/22 @ 8:15 on FOX)
MNF Winner* at Tampa Bay (01/23 @ 3:00 on NBC)
Buffalo at Kansas City (01/23 @ 6:30 on CBS)

* Arizona at Los Angeles

FYI: I think I'll definitely update; I thought FOX had two games in this second round, but only due to CBS getting the extra game in the first round.  That aside, it makes sense based off of the the 2014-2019 postseason format as FOX has two in the divisional round every other year (even NFL seasons / odd years in terms of when the playoffs occur).

The NFL, after SNF, announced it, but there you go

Can we put the Rams in that category? Sean McVay really angers me deeply & I find him very repulsive. He is not as smart or classy as thinks he is. Plus, I don't want OBJ in the Super Bowl & having to put up with his nonsense & "redemption" story during the 2 week Super Bowl hype. There is no good reason to even root for the Rams to get to the Super Bowl.

I root against teams who the media pronounce  as having "won the draft" the day after the draft and before any of them has set foot on the field for NFL-level football.

And I root against teams who the media declare as "winning free agency" just because they land some big, splashy and expensive names. The Rams fall into the latter category.

I'll admit, I sorta would've laughed had the Bengals blown it.  However, it doesn't change the fact that the officiating was a total dumpster fire.  To be fair, I guess, these crews do not work together.  Instead of getting the same crew, they split up certain crews for the playoffs.  Not worth it.

There has been some baffling officiating all season long so I can't just blame it on the fact that there are not consistent crews.

The other good thing about the Patriots losing last night -- no more talk of a Brady-Belichek Super Bowl that we supposedly all want.

On a positive note, Mama Kelce had both her boys playing today -- 1300 miles apart.   She made it to both games.   She watched son Jason lose in Tampa Bay, then got on a plane, which was unfortunately delayed, landed in KC at 8;10 p.m. central just as Travis scored his first touchdown.   Then she made it to the stadium (there were jokes about a police escort but she got there on her own) just in time to see Travis throw the TD pass.
