Oh man, the other girls think Maci is sooo full of shit. Honestly I don't really get it myself. What exactly does removing Bently from filming accomplish? He was never going to film with Farrah and since Maci is still on the show he's pretty likely to see the footage at some point. It feels more like Maci wanted to exert control than anything else.

Farrah shows a good deal of maturity in that clip, and Cate and Amber fortunately aren't jumping in to defend Macy.

I'd have a lot more respect for Macy if she would have just been honest and said something to the effect that she had a knee jerk reaction to hearing the news, threw a little tantrum bc she doesn't like or respect Farrah and she used the excuse of not wanting Farrah to be part of the show bc of Bentley, and looking back on it realizes she was being kind of petty. However, Maci's too young and proud to have that kind of self awareness and humility.

I suppose it's the easiest thing to just let her have her "conditions" and feel like she won, rather than haggle with her. I mean, while they frequently show the kids, Teen Mom has never been a show about parenting anyways.

 

While Maci is boring, a trip down any fansite where the average viewer had/has a twitter account as a middle schooler shows she IS popular with a certain fanbase and a lot of fans are really impressed with her "principles". While I wish so hard production would call her bluff, I can understand why they'll just sign off on this compromise so they can all move on.

 

By far, the worst thing about them agreeing to her terms is that Maci can pretend this whole time she was really prepared to walk if they continued to insist on filming Bentley, when instead I think Maci was testing the waters to see if she had enough pull to get Farrah ousted again (it's her or me). I would love to see the scrambling she'd have done if MTV agreed to release her from the show completely.

Farrah did porn. Maci has had her son living with at least 2 of her boyfriends. And I still remember that lovely scene from last season when she had Bentley on the phone begging her boyfriend to come back after they had a fight. Maci is no better than Farrah, except that Maci has a more likeable personality. Maci is unmarried with two kids by two baby daddies. She needs to watch who she throws stones at. Farrah at least got paid for her immoral behavior.

Oh, okay, I interpretted the film clip differently initially. I thought they weren't filming Bentley until Maci decided to return. So I guess I was wrong. In that case, if Maci doesn't want Bentley to be filmed bc of Farrah then my opinion is she's entitled to feel that way, but MTV should then let Maci go. Maci can't have it both ways. If she thinks it's okay to film w/o Bentley, but discusses Bentley on the show -- or Ryan does, or Ryan's parents do, then that's hypocritical. Without Bentley, there should be no Maci, Ryan, Larry or Ryan's mom -- period.

I think Maci played the only card she had left to play. Farrah's "baby talk" to Sophia is just awful. I see from CC that Sophia has picked up Farrah's terrible grammar and doesn't seem to differentiate between is and are.

Sophia is physically very unfortunate looking and unnatractive. Speaking of ugly, the only parts of Farrah's bloated, overworked face that move are her eyeballs and mouth. She looks like a geriatric, demented mannequin. She would date anyone who would have her. I'd love to see a tacky Farrah wedding and the subsequent divorce fallout and phony ugly crying.

Ofc Maci found a way to be on the show. It was nice to see Maci and her hillbilly boyfriend, Ryan, and his parents all sitting in the kitchen laughing and getting along.

Amber's creepy boyfriend has the grossest, ugliest teeth I have ever seen. Does Amber do anything in life besides eat and sit on the couch? She looks fatter and fatter each episode. I guess finding a creep to sit on the couch with her is her criteria for marriage material.

I'm glad that Catelynn and Tyler acknowledged that they should have gone to counseling after Carly.  I hope that this new baby isn't a replacement, but that they actually are thankful that they're in the position to be able to keep her. 

 

The look that Amber's cousin gave her and Matt was pretty much the look of everyone watching the show.  Yikes, this relationship is a trainwreck in progress.

 

I still think that Maci is full of crap with the Bentley/Farrah situation.  I bet MTV called her bluff and she realized that she was about to look like a moron for going back so she pulled the "You can't film Bentley" card.

Finally airing on the West Coast!  - plus the DVR delay for commercials. I enjoyed reading here before the show even started though.

 

Amber: the early scene of Leah with Amber's creeper boyfriend. YIKES. Maybe I'm paranoid, but watching him interact with Leah freaked me out. Should he really be cooking breakfast with her and asking if she likes spending time with him?  <shudder> She doesn't look abused or anything but it still creeped me out.  Like others I was also rather disappointed by them eating a family dinner on the couch. Does she not even have a table? I was all impressed she cooked dinner until she had paper plates out for her family to grab dinner and eat on the couch. And yet again the lazy "come innnnn!" from the couch several times. Get up and answer your damn door! Or don't answer the door if you don't want to, but don't yell that to people from the couch unless you have a really good reason (you know - broken or sprained limbs, flu, etc.).  I thought there was something 'off' about the proposal too - maybe just a re-enacted scene?

 

Farrah: remains snotty, it seems. I couldn't believe how rude she was to her mother in that video chat. (paraphrasing) "well duhhhhh Mom it's a show about THERAPY."  Yeah - that right there told me whatever counseling she's done so far has not helped a whole lot. It's all about being on TV longer.  In the Vegas hotel scene I swear I saw a fleeting eye-roll from the producer when she asked Farrah if she was crying due to missing Daddy Derek and the ugly cry started, while Farrah almost stabbed herself in the eye with a piece of zucchini on a fork. I was surprised she was even bitchy to the new boyfriend - "on Sunday when we go" (with the tone of "of course you idiot.")  The actual Simon/Debra meeting wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.

 

Maci: made me laugh, especially when Ryan, Ryan's parents, and Taylor were in the kitchen and she was talking about how she could make money off of having kids with two different baby daddies just moments after saying how she didn't want her child on a show with someone who did porn. Oookaayyy. I think Maci's pretty delusional when she says that she and Taylor "both" planned to be married, want to get married, etc. Unless they are doing some very creative editing, he seems like he's thinking "hell no" every time she mentions getting married. She's so nasty to him. Why would he want to propose?

 

Catelynn: their new baby is really cute. She's certainly not a 'replacement' baby but I hope they can focus on her and leave Brandon/Teresa/Carly alone soon. Doesn't sounds like they're leaving things alone quite yet, but hopefully as Nova gets older.  Also - I kept thinking, now you can post pics of Nova all over the place if you want, because she's your child and you get to decide. I wonder if at some point they'll realize the "likes" aren't as important as the actual human being. Tyler seemed surprisingly supportive to me when Catelynn and Nova were trying to breastfeed. I felt like it was creepy of Tyler to send them side-by-side pics of Nova and Carly but at least they were privately texted (and, well, MTV'd, but I assume B&T approved that before it aired) instead of slapped on Facebook or Instagram or wherever. I really like the apparent connection between Catelynn and Teresa, though. I think it's the only reason the adoption is still open.

 

It's weird how much my opinions of these girls/women go up and down, especially now. I always wonder if it's changes in them, me, or editing!

I am probably in the minority but I felt somewhat better about Amber's fiance. He seems like a decent mix of mellow and straightforward. I will probably be proven horribly wrong but I hope not. Leah did move fast, but in her defense, she had both Corey and Jeremy pressuring her into marriage (not at the same time, but over the course of the show). So, at least marriage with Jeremy was on the table when they started talking about babies. Maci, you are such a loser, you just got lapped by Leah. (I mean, I'm not saying a hillbilly marriage at 21 is something we should all aspire to, but it's clearly something Maci wants).

But I will say, she has GOT to quit whining about not being married before the baby is here. Another *SHOCKER* - Matt serving Amber breakfast in bed! God forbid that girl remains vertical for more than 2 seconds. On the after show everyone was going gaga for how "sweet" it was of Matt to ask Leah's permission to propose. But I found that whole scene creepy. Maybe it's because it's literally the second time we've seen Matt with Leah. It just all feels so rushed, and there's something shady bubbling underneath that I can't explain. But I also really hate when adults ask kids questions while basically giving them the answer - "You're glad I'm here now, aren't you? We have fun together, don't we?" 

 

For once I actually agreed with Kristal! Again, I'm not altogether against moving fast. I mentioned before on here that my husband and I moved in together after only 4 months of dating - and we were long distance! But there are just so many other factors here. I was a single, carefree woman. This is a mother, a recovering addict, who's only been out of jel for a short period of time. SHE should not be moving this fast. She should focus on herself 100% before entering into ANY relationship. 

 

And I was also matching Kristal's "ew" face as Amber kissed that sasquatch hand. *shudder*

 

 

 

So Farrah and her mom are going to do ANOTHER therapy show? How much therapy can you partake in and still be this dysfunctional???? Sometimes I wonder if they secretly get along great and are just perpetuating the troubled family life thing for the money/fame/opportunities. Except....you can't really fake that kind of crazy. Maybe they're just so broke they can't be fixed. 

 

I'm not sure what to think of Simon, but he has got to be on serious drugs to be able to put up with Farrah and her annoying baby voice.

I wonder what B&T really thought about Tyler sending those comparison pictures. It's definitely a complicated situation. Nova is Carly's legit, full-on sister. But I did find it weird when Catelynn was imagining that Carly would be closer to Nova one day than she would be to her own parents. I really get the feeling that Tyler and Catelynn still haven't fully moved on from placing Carly, that there's a lot of regret and wishful thinking going on there. I think they're in a unique situation being that they are still together and have now gone on to have another baby and keep this one. I would imagine most young mothers who give up a baby go on to have totally different lives. A career. New guy. New everything. I don't know....I feel like these two should be in some sort of therapy, because I often feel like they aren't handling things as well as they present on the outside.

That was super weird. Catelynn seems to be thoughtful about how Nova will feel about the situation - she doesn't want Nova to feel like a replacement child - but she doesn't give much thought to how Carly will feel. Carly is going to grow up knowing that her bio parents had two daughters, who look identical, and chose to raise only one of them. Hopefully Carly will realize that she got the better end of the deal by being raised by B&T. But it's odd that Catelynn & Tyler never consider that Carly might have complicated feelings about being adopted, and maybe she won't want to be besties with her bio parents and bio sister.

Someone needs to clue Tyler into the reason why Teresa doesnt respond to his texts....he's an a-hole.  Catelynn is the reason that adoption is still open.  Poor Nova, I'm sure she's gonna be growing up hearing about Carlyn constantly.  They cant wait til Carly and Nova meet. That adoption needs to be closed for the sake of both of those kids.  Farrah has the worst personality of anyone ever.
