Jill probably gets those workbooks at the dollar tree

I wonder how many parent meetings like this the Dean gets every year? These KJV only types don't seem to even respect Christian curriculum like Abeka to educate their kids. Probably because it's more expensive than the  workbooks that Jill favors.

This college is perfect for Jill to keep her tight hold of "Philly". She'll probably drive him there and pick him up. And since they know the dean, they probably grifted the tuition.

As far as working, have we ever seen Philly do anything but attempt to preach?

I'm thinking between BME and Phillip's ineptitude, it's going to be a massive failure.

There will be NO OPPORTUNITY for Philip to get up to ANY of the shenanigans that got Timbits tethered indefinitely to the RV in the driveway.

Jill has pegged Phillip as the studious one, so he may feel an urgency to live up to this expectation. If he can adapt to a school setting, he might do OK. Of course, BestMeMeMeEver will eventually find a way to sabotage his efforts. It's what she does best.

Sadly that’s true.

I have to wonder how a college student in their home will be treated. Even though it’s probably less than an hour from their house, living at school wouldn’t have been a bad idea, in my opinion.

I wonder if there will be first day of school pictures, and paragraphs on how much it affects Jill.

I agree with others that this 'college' is a joke, but bear in mind that any Rod kids are so incredibly stunted, that even things like 'go to this classroom at 8am sharp, and spend 50 minutes talking to other people about the Bible and writing stuff down' is going to be immensely challenging for them.

They have never been taught anything about the world, so this is all going to be hard. I hope Phillip does OK, because all these kids deserve so much better than what their parents have given them.

As sad as this school is, I have fears that it might be too hard for any Rodrigues offspring.  I expect that any of them attending any of the programs will learn more about other people, themselves, and even the Bible.  Phillip might even improve his writing and speaking skills.

If the school’s Facebook page is any indication, proofreading isn’t a priority.

The answer to your last comment is:  You can bet on it.

BME needs to keep her big mouth shut regarding Phillip’s “college” plan, in case it’s as much of a failure as I suspect it will be.

Jill keep her giant mouth shut? Ha don’t bet on it! HUNK is gonna get a REAL job before that happens!

Philly will flunk out and MAMA will pretend nothing has ever happened college wise.

As for Phillip flunking out, I suspect it's damn near impossible to flunk out of these rinky dink bible "colleges." I imagine most of the instructors are likewise educated.

I saw on the application to Bible college you had to disclose your salvation story, apparently along with dates, etc etc. And recommendation from your pastor, I guess they don’t want any unsaved students who aren’t fluent in KJV biblespeak. Sounds perfect for BME so it will be interesting to see what she comes up with when Philly drops out.

Seems over the top to most “normal” people, but having been raised fundie and going to rinky dink unaccredited schools in church basements all my life, this is quite standard and would raise no eyebrows amongst this crowd.

So it’s basically Sunday school?

20 hours ago, Absolom said:

Most of these churches will have both Sunday School and children's church.  The programs have some similarities, but really are different.  Sunday School usually uses a curriculum to cover the Bible and church beliefs in a progressive, organized manner.  The students are usually divided by age or grade level into one to two year groups.

Children's church usually follows the adult lessons and is a simplified child appropriate and shorter lesson.  It's a less structured program than Sunday School and covers a wider age range (sometimes 2 to 8) and usually includes a picture to color or art project that matches the day's lesson.

In the Baptist churches I've attended, Children's Church is organized like a worship service. All elementary school-aged children are welcome. Their chairs all face toward the front of the meeting space, and there is a time for musical worship (group singing and maybe a solo) followed by a child-appropriate message ("sermon") given by the children's pastor or a volunteer. There may be some games and activities thrown in, but part of the point is to get kids used to the format of adult worship service.

It's cheap, unaccredited, and emphasizes the right Jesus more than its curriculum. My bet it has more educationally deficient, socially awkward, emotionally damaged homeschooled students beginning classes than not. Hopefully, Phillip will find some happiness there.

Yes. No one will be dropped for being unable to construct a coherent sentence. It would take something egregious or a refusal to pay the bills for the school to expel a student.

Phillip should be OK as long as Jill doesn't meddle too much. Dealing with Jill's craziness might be too much even for this school.

I hope Phillip enjoys the experience. Maybe Tim will give him some useful advice--or not.

I certainly hope no Rodriguii is exposed to a Heathen. I'm not sure I can buy enough bleach to save my brain and eyesight after that.

I hope Phillip does well, and at least gets something out of it that will allow him to escape from his awful mother.

So I took a look at the school’s website. The Pastoral Ministry degree looks to be up his alley.  But the whole thing about the “degree” not being awarded to divorced men or women (in general) just irks me.  Wouldn’t it be prudent for a woman (who has the intention of being a pastor’s wife) to understand the ins and outs of the job?  And to be able to support her spouse with whatever needs done?  But I suppose that’s not “women’s work” so no need to fill their pretty little heads with it. And the whole thing about students not being allowed to marry during their time at the school…they all preach about “God’s Plan” for everyone and God choosing a mate for them.  What they are saying is that God doesn’t matter when it comes to  giving them money  their education and they need to avoid hasty courtships and wait till AFTER their schooling. Because distractions. Even if they feel God “put the burden on their hearts” to marry.  It makes my head wobble.

That rock garden is such a weird collection of random junk. It's like a photo of the inside of Jill's head.

Did they do that "landscaping" in an area of rocks that's there because of their septic tank or something? I have a vague memory that Jill put the kids to work to "beautify" an area like that on their property a year or more ago, and it looked dreadful in her brag photos on SM. Maybe this is the 2022 spring "spruce-up" for that mess.

Yes, it’s the same spot. She called it, “getting everything spring cleaned”.

Her yard decor reminds me of the backyard on Big Brother when they do a competition involving hiding things in a graveyard. Looks like her plants didn’t survive. Sadly JillR thinks she’s a great decorator.

That woman is wacko.  It's a caliginous collection of crap that Jilldo probably took out of a dumpster in the back of a Goodwill store.

I had 30 seconds to waste this morning so I watched her IG story - she pans around her lil' Garden of Horrors, shows two of her boys climbing extremely high into a tree in their front yard (maybe they were checking out an escape route from that vantage point) and then she shoves her camera into one of the Not-Nurie's faces, causing uncomfortable giggling.  For the "piece de resistance" she reveals the front of her house, with what looks like several window boxes filled with the plastic floral clearance section of Goodwill.  I have never seen so many colors not found in nature in one place.

I'm glad the Coca-Cola sign with the white picket fence is back, though.  That really pulls the whole decorative scheme together so nicely.

THIS 😂

Don’t forget about the Not-Nurie’s high-pitched “Hiiiiiiiiiiiii!” when BME shoved the phone in her face.  Stephen King (the author whose imagination is endless and bizarre) couldn’t come up with a family any stranger than the Rods.  A person literally couldn’t make this shit up.

I fully agree! It’s ridiculous, and they are total hypocrites regarding divorce. Why do we see so many screeds from Jill and her ilk judging women for wearing the wrong clothes and making their own choices about their bodies, etc, but never about the ungodly “sin” of divorce? They fully support divorced people (mostly men) when it suits them. Of course, the women in those marriages must have been at fault. /s
