I agree that Jill's technique is off, but she is also using shit product.  She is using the cheapest eyeliner and non-waterproof mascara she can find and it does not set.  It is migrating down her face every time she blinks.  She has to pack it on because the formula sucks and that adds to the mess.  I think she is still buying the same 90s Wet n Wild 99C eyeliner and Maybelline Great Lash.  There are better drugstore products out there made by the same companies.  Jill just won't buy anything else.  

I still want to buy her some Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners in colors not black and some waterproof Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.

I go with what works, not just cheap My favorite eyeshadow is from the dollar store, my favorite eyeliner and foundation are Revlon....Same with nail polish. I stumbled on $2 nail polish at a discount store. Tried a bottle and it lasts longer than the pricier stuff. And I love the colors. I ended up buying 5 more to replace the polish that was going bad.

Poor little hostages.  They're trying so hard to cooperate.  Jill's mastery of them is so complete that even though they would physically be able to walk away, their mental state compels them to please her even if it is to their own detriment.  Raised from birth to obey parents who claim they speak Will of God, they are terrified to disappoint, convinced their very souls could be in peril if they do.  

Jill is a tyrant, her whims and wishes override anyone unequipped to stand up to her.  While Nurie was raised to please Jill, Nathan was raised to please his parents.  But Nathans parents are weak, while Jill is strong.  Jill is in charge, and they know it.  Even if N&N like each other, and would happily date in other circumstances, Jill has decreed that they love each other and this marriage will take place.  If left unchecked, there will always be three in that marriage, N&N and JILL.

It remains to be seen if Nathan can grow the strength to resist Jill.  Nurie never will.

Cynthia Jeub has been writing and complaining about her life and father for quite some time.  It's nice to see someone who has broken free from such a crazy family.  I feel sorry for her as she'll probably have scars for the rest of her life.

Agreed! I've read some of Cynthia's stuff before. She's a good writer and does a wonderful job of shining a light on how horrific her upbringing was and how dangerous and damaging this way of life is. She's had a rough time of it even after leaving, but I admire her for continuing to speak out.

As weird as this family is, I'm actually happy for Nathan and Nurie . They look happy together in the pics and seem 'equally yoked' in the looks department, as unfortunately neither is facially blessed, however they somehow match looks wise. Thier smiles and body language seem to show that they are happy to be together.  Strange about Nathan bc most of his siblings are attractive especially Anna and pris, but he looks totally different? 

IMO Nurie, Kaylee, and Renee are definitely not facially blessed , makeup and horrendous styling aside, so unfortunately finding a spouse might be more of a challenge, especially bc the rod family seems to have quite low social status in the fund community. I think this marriage will be good for Nurie. Also, on a shallow note, skinny as she is, I'm somewhat mesmerized by ahem how busty she is. I don't think I've seen such a thin girl so well l endowed. In conclusion,  this basically shallow post is just expressing some of the thoughts I've had rattling around in my head regarding these folks.

I've always thought that Nurie was quite pretty. If she lightened up on the makeup, got a better hairstyle and filled out a little bit she could be a very attractive girl. It's hard for me to really evaluate how happy she looks with  Nathan as her smile is habitually so forced that I'm not sure her face even knows how to look genuinely joyful. As for Nathan, I think the main problem is his vampire teeth  As much as I generally find quirky teeth much more endearing than perfectly straight ones, his are just downright unfortunate. The rest of his features are fairly average, really. Any further deficiency in looks could probably be put down to a marked social awkwardness (maybe verging on clinical). He just looks awkward all the way around. There's no reason that their combined genes couldn't make perfectly attractive children, though - especially if they somehow managed to be raised happy and relaxed. But I fear that is probably asking the impossible...

Well when I lived in Oshkosh, where he's going to school.  They had two porn shops.  One big one right off the highway into the city and one in the city not too far from the Fox Valley Tech campus.  If they are still there, he might certainly be tempted.  Also, these are the types of places with "booths" and more goes on in them than people innocently watching videos.

Great article. Cynthia has been writing about her family for awhile now. There's a thread on Free Jinger where she used to answer questions. I'm not sure if she still does. But it was very informative about her parents, growing up Quiverful, taking care of her siblings, and life after she left. I'm glad she got out and is doing well.

Chris Jeub is teaching English at a Monument, CO charter school.  This link is reaction from some parents when he was hired in Fall 2018.  His bio on the school's website says he and his wife have five children currently enrolled at the school.  I would be so pissed if my child's school hired him.

And of course he's managed to convince a lot of people that Cynthia's the one who's lying -- because he's intimidated and brainwashed others of his children to believe Dad rather than their lying eyes. And convinced the kids that Cynthia's admitting she's had depression means she can't be trusted and is vicious. 

The man is evil arrogant scum. I'd move my kids to another school immediately. 

I think he's only teaching there because CPS made them stop homeschooling all those kids and enroll them in school. And this lunatic has basicallly stalked his kids to their school because he can't have them under his thumb at home 24 hours a day, most likely. He is smart and somewhat educated after a fashion and he's probably pretty good at being two-faced. So he's hornswoggled some people at the school into believing he's a decent guy.
