It's odd because in earlier shows Tori is cheerful and pleasant. She also couldn't wait to be married when she started courting. It wasn't until her engagement that she showed this negative, can't be bothered and spoiled side. Maybe you're right about her fate being sealed and the engagement/marriage made all the more real.

Timothy needs Algebra - great education you gave him Jill.  3 of my nieces and nephews did Algebra this past year in school - they are 13.  Go to community college Timothy, maybe there you will learn how bad your education really is.

David - get a real job, with overtime and benefits.  Oldest 5 kids - get part time jobs that pay money.  Then use time for all the older kids to run the printing press business.  You can't tell me that David spends 10-12 hours a day running the press.  Meanwhile Jill, take care of all your kids by yourself.  Stop splurging on hair dye, bad makeup, plexus and clothing for yourself.

As long as the nostrils are under water and it's being breathed in, you can drown, so if someone was upside down, disoriented and that water flowing around their face, it is possible. A lot of drownings happen in really shallow water, just because the person drowning is in situation where they can't move their head away from the water.

Yes you don't need that much water to drown as long as the lungs fill with fluid.  There's a weird thing called dry drowning, which I heard of happening to someone we knew a little when I was a kid. 

There's also an old story in my family about a car sinking in a huge puddle that I've never understood. 

It looks really bad. I'm glad their injuries weren't worse.

It happened to a family I know.  There doesn't need much water if you are unconscious. You can drown if you end up face down in just a few inches of water.

I'm really surprised the girls aren't more injured than they are.  One of them mentioned, somewhere, that the airbags deployed, so I'm guessing Nurie might have been pinned in the beginning with the air bag and couldn't move her head to get it out of the water.  Add in total panic, especially with Kaylee not answering her because she was unconscious, along with most likely no training whatsoever and I could totally see her aspirating water and hyperventilating.  

Meanwhile, who is the headless, escaped convict in the orange jumpsuit in the garden?  Gives it a very creepy vibe.

I'm sure she was standing behind the camera mouthing the words along with Nurie.  And, I have no doubt she wrote the script that Nurie was reading from.  I think she knows that, in Nurie, she's got a completely brainwashed puppet, so she trusts her to stick to the script.

I agree, the accident was scary and I don't blame her for being upset about it.  It's just that her first instinct, upon arriving at the hospital ER, was to photograph her daughters lying on backboards with cervical collars as they waited to find out if they'd broken their necks.  And, looking at the photos, I wouldn't be surprised if JRod reapplied their clownish makeup first.  Her second instinct was to pose for selfies with them still in the ER and post it all online for the world to see.  Her next move was to coerce and guilt her daughter into shilling for cash to replace a car that wasn't worth anything (and which they'd gotten for free in the first place).  Her final move was to go shopping for new clothes for her kids (and probably herself) after telling the world how they couldn't possibly afford to replace the necessities (car, phone, musical instruments) that they'd lost.  I don't blame her for being overwhelmed, I do blame her for being a selfish narcissistic she-beast who took her daughters' traumatic, painful experience and tried to cash in and made it all about herself.

(Translation:  Jill has yelled at her about the car and she can't tell anyone.)  Now she's calling it the "GoToFund".

There is this thing called Amtrak and Greyhound.  David's mother can take that to see her grandchild.  Why can't Timothy take his addition/subtraction/multiplication level math at a local jr college or have a 2nd grader in town teach him this stuff?  Doing a CD takes cash right?  Put the CD on hold and buy an automobile besides, who is going to buy this vanity CD?   If normal folk like us can get 2nd/3rd jobs why can't printer boy get a graveyard shift at a Denny's or something to raise his family rather than depending on strangers to do it?  I can tell you one fundraiser I would donate to and its a vasectomy/tubal fundraiser for Jill and David.  They need to quit trying to be the Fundie Partridge family, get some effin jobs, quit having kids and grow the EFF up!  You have em, you pay for em.  When they are old and unable to care for themselves I hope their kids make them live in a Honda Civic since that would provide the 2 of them the same amount of personal space they have given their kids to grow up.

Nurie was driving like a maniac when this happened on a country road with no traffic.  She is responsible for the totaled car and for her sister's injuries.  Did she ever apologize to her sister?  It will be interesting to hear what happens to Nurie when she goes to traffic court over this accident.  She won't need a car to drive if she loses her license.

Yes, the accident was bad, her daughters were legitimately in danger, and one was obviously hurt. As a parent, I would be taking care of my daughters not taking selfies with them to post on social media or scripting a Gotomefund in the wee hours of the morning to beg for money, let alone posting about using retail therapy because mean people suggested my husband get a real job instead of begging for money and then forcing my traumatized daughter into making a live FB post to beg people to donate to my Fundmenow campaign.

Children can really drown in a cm of water, even half a cm. But that applies more to infants than 17/18/19 year olds.

I think her husband is hot. At worst, he’s hot like a lifetime movie husband. The Bates girls have mostly have hot husbands.
