I wondered why JB and M were advertising this. ....

Now it looks like Duggs and Dugg adjacents are heavily involved with the Christian Shock Troops Fighting Those Who Believe in Fighting Covid.

Anti-quarantine, anti-Black-Lives-Matter, anti-antifa, anti-Gay Agenda, anti-environmentalism. They're hitting all the current hot buttons and declaring that all these things are being pursued with the goal of wiping out their specific faith.  And, just as I've been arguing MacArthur is doing --- they're trying to get all their fellow true believers to fight things in order to "engage on cultural issues of the day aimed at destroying the Church and the family!"

I'd say this and the MacArthur stunt are pretty closely allied in intent.

JB and M must be quite committed to this. I'm surprised now that any of the Duggs ever pretended to be going along with social-distancing and so on at all.

Makes you wonder who's paying for all this, doesn't it? I've got some ideas.

And...they're going to send all these people back after urging them to talk about all this stuff in a very specific way -- in churches. Which can very quickly verge on the quite illegal. And somebody who appears to be remaining nameless is apparently picking up almost the full tab for it.

America at the Crossroads: A 911 Call for Pastors (Aug 30 – Sept 2, 2020)

About this Event

America at the Crossroads: A 911 Call for Pastors

August 30 – September 2, 2020

For only a $100 registration fee – you will receive 3 nights hotel stay at the beautiful Gaylord Texan Resort, 6 meals and tuition for 20 hours of continuing education.

Enjoy three days of R & R, fellowship with other pastors and be equipped to engage on cultural issues of the day aimed at destroying the Church and the family!

America is in peril! We see rioting in the streets with showing no regard for life or personal property. For the first time in America’s history, we intentionally collapsed our economy over a viral threat originating in Communist Red China. Mayors and Governors are demanding that Churches and businesses close, while abortion clinics, liquor stores and big box stores are open. People are gripped with fear, yet where is the Prophetic voice of Almighty God?

As Hosea said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge!”

We invite you to join us for three days of R & R, fellowship, food and training on Black Lives Matter, White Privilege, Critical Race Theory, Cultural Marxism, Covid-19 and the calls for Global Government!

Did you ever wonder what it would be like in the terminal generation of the Church that would be alive when the Lord Jesus returns for His own? We may be that generation!

Pastor, are you living in fear or are you prepared to lead and protect your flock as you boldly engage the culture with the Truth of Jesus Christ?

So, you know, epidemiology and immunology expert. Not.

Opening night, they're getting a speech on The Black Robed Regiment, which is this --

"The term “Black Robe Regiment” referred not to a literal regiment of soldiers that wore black robes into battle but rather to the influential clergymen who promoted American independence and supported the military struggle against Britain. By encouraging the Patriot cause, those ministers helped muster critical support among members of their congregation—support the British begrudgingly acknowledged as vital to maintaining the colonists' frustrating resistance to British attempts to restore Parliamentary rule. In its implicit comparison of symbolic support to a specific body of troops, the term “Black Robe Regiment” is somewhat similar to the “fifth column” identified by the Spanish general Emilio Mola. (a partner to Franco) During that country’s Civil War in 1936, Mola boasted that he had four columns of soldiers marching upon Madrid and a “fifth column” of sympathizers already living in the city who would support the army once it arrived.....Advocates of the British crown found preachers’ support of the Patriot cause particularly detrimental to their efforts to maintain loyalty among the colonists. Such clergymen provided sanction for the cause of independence as well as formal support for the military effort. In the 1770s, most colonists still considered themselves aligned with England; many parishioners questioned the fundamental legitimacy of revolution, and of separating from Britain and consequently the Church of England. From their pulpits, these members of the Black Robe Regiment reassured their audiences that their revolution was justified in the eyes of God. Winning and maintaining the support of the population was critical in the American War for Independence, which relied heavily on the support of volunteers and the general population."

So conducting a bluntly political operation from the pulpits is exactly what's being urged here. Not that that's surprising for this kind of crowd. But it's pretty darned blatant, especially since the black-robed people are being almost completely subsidized by someone for their attendance at this indoctrination party.

They can't process reality because they are God's chosen people...wait those were the Jews, but but they are so God's besties. Small minds cannot take reality so they live in an alternative reality and fight anyone who tries to make them see the truth. It's painful for everyone involved.

I wonder how JB and M came to promote this thing.

Despite its being in Texas, I don't see any evidence of Gothardite involvement.

And I guess I'd be surprised if any of these people asked them to promote it. I'd think that, shared ideologies aside, Jeffress, for example, would look down his nose at JB and M, big time, almost as much as I expect MacArthur would........

But I suppose it's a common cause that made strange bedfellows....and they do have a TeeVee audience.....despite TLC's long-past promises to the contrary.

Yes, but they only get two meals a day. I would hold out for three meals and a cocktail hour.. yes I know they don't drink but if I went I would definitely be in need of an adult beverage.

Good heavens! Are these people entirely stupid? (Yes, I know...)  Who goes to a conference in times like these?

Also, can somebody please point me to the part in the Bible where Jesus whined endlessly about lost priviliges?

You mean this part, early in the gospels, where the young Jesus says -- "Hey! Who's been messing with my jars of gold, frankincense and myrrh! They're MINE MINE MINE!!!   WAAAAAAAAAA!"

And later, when he drove moneychangers out of the temple, he was just mad because they'd set up in his spot.

So, that means they are profa?  I had no idea that fascism was God's will for America.

BTW, this Gaylord Texan Resort is actually quite nice and owned by Marriott.  The rooms run about 300 bucks a night without meals.  It does beg the question as to how this conference is going to be financed.  I can see Marriott giving them a deal for bringing a large group, especially these days,  but getting almost a 90% discount PLUS meals?  Somebody is paying for most of this and it ain't the preachers.

I find it interesting that they are proclaiming the patriotism of ministers during the Revolution when a significant number of pastors spoke out from the pulpit against rebelling against the King who was anointed by God.   As usual, they ignore facts that contradict their agenda.

For those who've never heard of him, Robert Jeffress is a Southern Baptist pastor who runs a mega-church in Dallas that claims 14,000 members.  His church has a TV and radio show named Pathway to Victory and he is estimated to be worth about $15 million.  He also appears regularly on Fox News to provide his religious POV on issues.

It's considerably more than a 2/3 discount, actually. The guests -- and they really are somebody's guests -- are paying $100, total, for the entire three-night stay. That's an 89% discount and, of course, a lot more since they're also getting free meals.

The "fee" is obviously just a formality because somebody or something with deep pockets -- and some agenda or other that it/he/she/they hope these people will serve -- is picking up virtually the entire tab.

I'd bet that's what it is from the outset. I mean, the agenda isn't about theology or treating people morally or the like. Not at all. And if the donors were religious groups, there'd be little reason not to just say who they are. Somebody hopes to fuel these vacationing preachers to say the right stuff from the pulpit in the fall -- and say it energetically because they're very scared about things that are happening in America.

Where the pastors get the money to provide hotel freebies is the still unanswered question, of course. Somebody who has deep pockets and hopes for particular outcomes is certainly bankrolling them. A bunch of pastors can't pay for this stuff on their own. But the actual funders of groups like this seem to keep their names out of it if they can, more often than not. More palatable to people if things look like grassroots movements, I guess. The grassroots can seldom put up a bunch of people at a fancy hotel, though!

He's something all right. He's the one who wrote the book claiming that all the Nazis were gay. Ergo, Nazism and fascism are the result of homosexuality and acceptance or tolerance of same. We can see how this kind of theory would appeal to Duggars and company! But of course now the guy is not just kinda sorta against Nazism/fascism (and homosexuality).....He's kinda sorta against anti-fascism, too. ..... Seems to me what he's mainly into is just fueling people's paranoia about whatever's out there at the moment. He's scared of everything and wants everybody else to be scared, too. And fear's a big driver of aggression....

Lashing out from fear of anything or anyone "different" or "other" or "not from around here" seems to me to be the basis of all of this. .... And the basis of Duggardom, absolutely.....Because what other than fear would cause you to create your own little universe and refuse to let anybody depart from it an inch?

Schools and school buses are horrifying. Working for anybody who isn't your father is horrifying. Any sexuality that isn't the one you know because it's yours is horrifying. Japanese and Ethiopian restaurants are either horrifying or scarily laughable. Any bible translation except the King James is horrifying -- because the others haven't proven themselves safe over multiple centuries. Well, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said that grandparents need to go out and get Covid and die in order to save the economy. He said he would be willing to die for the economy, but I haven't heard a report on his efforts to do so. Perhaps he will update the audience on his attempts to get sick even though it's all a hoax.
