I’ve never really enjoyed this Abigail, either, since she truly is not the angel they want us to believe.

This Bonnie story makes everyone look stupid.   Justin is really supposed to believe that Bonnie wants Zander at their wedding?  
are Steve and Kayla just bored ?  Why would they want to be in this wedding? 
is there a reason Justin wants to get married? Not too long ago it was him and Kayla at the Kiriakis Alter living room. 
 

  I feel sorry for Doug.   It’s understandable that Julie would not want to admit anything is wrong.  There were probably lots of hints before now.

I liked the Jack/Julie scenes today especially the line where he he told her that Doug probably wanted her to cool off. I was glad to see Jack interacting with characters that aren't Xander and Gwen.

I wonder if this is the show's way of gently escorting Bill Hayes off the show since he really is getting up there in years? Maybe Bill wants to leave before he starts to decline IRL? Yes. They voluntarily left. And worse, Abigail left her children with Chad, you know, the husband who cheated on her with nasty Gwen? What mother would leave her kids in that mess??

Abigail ( and Jennifer..yes I know she’s dealing with her moms estate )could have stayed and fought  for their rightful place

. If they think Gwen such an evil, conniving, nasty liar, wooing Jack on her side, what and why would they EVER let the kids stay with Chad..in that household..leaving Gwen to do whatever.? And knowing Gwen’s history, I would FEAR for my children’s lives.

NOBODY, or thing, would EVER keep me away from my kids, especially in that fucked up scenario.

I feel not one bit sorry for Abigail, Jen, or Jack. It’s too bad, too, because they were on for so long and now it’s just a joke.

Xander really has a way of interrupting at the most opportune moments.

There should have been some signs that something was off with Doug. Jack did take the kind route of telling Julie that Doug wanted to cool her off. Given Doug is 96, dementia or something like it will most likely be the issue. Thought they would just send Doug and Julie on a cruise somewhere and he would gently pass away in his sleep - in order to write him out. Such a sad story. It can be done on a soap but I don't think that the writers would do the story justice.

Bonnie's dress was pretty. The minister was rather short. And hungry.

Doug possibly suffering from dementia is going to be tough to watch. Doug has been around for so long and it has been obvious from his last few appearances that Bill Hayes is pretty frail. I can't imagine how difficult Doug dying from dementia (if that's what ends up happening) will be for Susan Seaforth Hayes to portray. To play Doug's onscreen death knowing that Bill could soon follow is brutal and could be emotionally draining for SSH. I mean, even though she looks good for her age, SSH is 78 years old. Why couldn't the show just send Doug and Julie on a cruise or to visit Hope and have him die offscreen, with Julie returning to Salem to mourn him? 

I liked that Jack and Roman were there for Julie and Doug. These are people who have known each other for decades, plus Roman went through something similar with his mother. It was also nice to see Jack away from Gwen for a while. I hope he offers his support to Doug & Julie going forward. 

They fooled me when bleeding Calista interrupted the wedding. I surprised myself when I felt relief that Bonnie had not killed her after all. Not that I care about Calista, but somehow I felt sympathetic towards Bonnie. It's probably because she's softened her appearance and looks way too much like Adrienne now. I'm still bitter that they killed Adrienne just to turn Bonnie into Adrienne-lite and have Justin fall in love with her. Completely pointless. 

Kayla & Steve didn't have much to do but they looked great and I love having them onscreen together. I'll take what I can get with them.

Well her easy to go for therapy in grandma is dead, and her other therapist was Marlena? So I hoped she found someone in Boston for these past 6 months.

Her children are under the age of 5 and she has spent half of their lives away from them either voluntarily (fake being dead, last six months) or involuntarily (multiple stays at mental hospitals)

I'm wondering what they will do with Victor and Maggie story lines, since John had a heart attack in August, and I thought I read that Suzanne had a health scare recently.

Stefano should have stayed dead after they had the remembrance "tribute" to him at the Brady Pub.  Ruled it suicide by cop and been done with it.  That way he didn't get a happy ever after but there WAS a resolution to his life.

At least they let Caroline die peacefully in her sleep.  If the actor truly wants to retire, give them an appropriate story line and let them either die in a way that was consistent with their life or peacefully off screen.  

If Julie wanted to stay on, they could have had Doug walking by a building, smelling smoke, calling 911 and somehow either getting hit by falling debris or dying of smoke inhalation.  He could have gone out a hero without any over the top macho theatrics.

They could also simply have Victor and Maggie travel to Greece.  At some point Victor is reported to have died looking at the view he loved.

So true. And frankly, family should never be your therapist.

@RedElf I’m always worried about her mental state. If / when she comes back..Chad, daddy/new sister issues unresolved, maybe it best she isn’t with the kids if she hasn’t been in counseling.

Stefano should have died for real after Marlena poisoned him and put him in a coma. It could have been revealed that Roman was the one who gave him the final death blow with Wayne Northrup reprising the role of Roman for a day..

I would be fine with Doug/Julie going on a never ending cruise until Doug passes or they go to Africa to stay with Hope(and the rest of their family who lives there). 

Speaking of Doug/Julie does Shawn even know what's going on he was on today and yet he's not involved in a story involving his own grandfather. 

Eli/Lani were on today to arrest Bonnie(which is distracting since they appeared on the webseries today as well) and I kept thinking how much better it would've been if Shawn arrested her instead being his former MIL but that would require Shawn having a focus/POV and that's not going to happen.

This Julie/Doug storyline is most sad. 
I think Bill did a phenomenal job at the pub with Roman. Unlike what I saw at the Eric/Nicole fiasco. He was clearly struggling. My hope is they will let him act when he can, but I wish they’d wrap it up quickly, if just can’t do it on screen. Please let him go with dignity.

I didn’t know John Aniston had a HA. Damn..I miss Victor, and feel the same. Want to see him on screen..but JA does seem to know his limitations.

My hope is they’d keep the Kiriakis legacy going with Philip taking the role. JKJ can definitely fill in..take over where Victor would want. Brady would ruin the Kiriakis name..he belongs not in that business. But writers won’t be able to do Kiriakis.

Same hope with the DiMera’s. Nu-EJ seems to be coming into the role nicely. I’d like to see EJ and Tony take over and fill Stefano’s shoes. Kate could help, since Maggie is w/Victor. But if it turns out that Susan isn’t coming back, would rather have Kate team Kiriakis.

I’m babbling on, but I guess my point is it is very upsetting watching the Kiriakis/DiMera feud gone. Doug not doing well. And I miss Joe Moscato 🥲and agree Days never recovered since his death..regarding Kiriakis/DiMera!

I also have no idea what the plan is for the storyline, but SOD posted an interview with Susan yesterday and I guess no matter what she'd want to make it sound positive, but it does sound like she likes that they're having a real storyline, and not just sitting around looking at photo albums and reminiscing.   The last line in the interview is "It’s been really good plotting by the head writer, Ron Carlivati. We’ve had more work than we’ve had in a long time, which has only been enlivening."

I've been watching both the real show, and the digital one, so storylines are blurring, but I'm so glad that the Bonnie one is over. At least I hope it is.

I've always liked Abe, and loved Abe and Lexie as a couple, but not really enjoying Abe and Paulina, which is funny, because I like Paulina.  But I guess they have to get close before Paulina drops the "you're not Lani's father" bombshell.

Getting somewhat tired of Rafe and his obsession with Nicole, but at least he's over Hope, I guess.  Speaking of Hope, it's going to be weird if she doesn't come home to check on her father, now that he's having health issues. 

Still a Cin fan, but hope they give them something interesting to do on the real show, as the digital series doesn't really count, IMO.

It's loooong past time DOOL recast the role. Too many things have happened on canvas for Hope to continue being absent.
