Nice wrap up of where the couples are AND some stuff that didn’t make the air or was shown in a misleading air…

Brittany is interested in Andrew but he wants a break from the Bachelor world

When she flew out after him, Eliza actually stayed the night with Justin. They were going to move slowly, but when he flew out to visit her in LA, even though they had plans, she basically ghosted him.

Okay, that’s wild! When she went to see him, they had her crying on the street after being rejected, but I guess he let her back in? Regardless, I thought it was odd that they didn’t have Justin talk at all at the reunion! Same with Andrew and a few others. I mean, I guess they have their couples they want to showcase, but they could have at least given Justin one line to respond to Rodney and Eliza’s segment—same with Jill during the Romeo and Kira segment. But at least Justin gave some of his patented reaction shots. He nearly fell out of his chair when Victoria and Greg were sharing their innocent drink in Rome story—where they got matching tattoos? Just your typical first date!

it's not you.  It's a shit ton of fillers and a chin implant.

I was fascinated by how her shiny forehead didn't move at ALL during any of her segments last night. She looks like she's had each of her facial features precisely curated through plastic surgery with the overall effect that she looks like an anime character, or possible a very big eyed chipmunk. Nothing about her strikes me as real.

The fact that Greg was even at this reunion shows you where his priorities are. The rest of them are under contract. He had no obligation. He's either crazy in love or making what I think will turn out to be an ill advised calculated move to try to get back in the spotlight.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but if it's true that Tyler ignored Brittany's request to give her space, I'm team Brittany. Tyler is probably looking at how Brandon treats Serene as the "gold standard" for how all men should treat women, completely disregarding what the woman he's dating actually wants. Speaking of Brandon, when he started drawing analogies between his love for Serene and various breakfast foods, I wanted to barf.

I completely agree. If, as I suspect, Tyler had started giving Brittany The Ick when she asked for some space and he contacted her three to four times in different ways in that same 24 hours, I can see why she felt she had to end it immediately. I've definitely had that experience before. And it can also be hard to explain exactly why you got The Ick to begin with. But she could have done herself more favors here from a PR perspective by sounding a little more apologetic and a little less cold. OTOH, we have no idea what his reaction has been to their break-up--maybe she's worried that any gentleness on her part would lead him to believe he had hope and that he'd begin pursuing her again.

Kate dug herself in even deeper by acting like all the things she said about Logan weren't so bad because she said them behind his back.

I laughed when she claimed to have said those things to her girlfriends " in private."  With a mic pack taped to her back and in front of cameras, she trashed the guy she was dating, but it was a private conversation?

I feel like they wasted too much time showing clips of things we already saw instead of asking more questions of the contestants.  I would have liked to hear from Andrew, Lace, even IBS girl and Shanae.  Also crazy Ency.  Ask her why she was so crazed over someone she met 24 hours prior.  Why have these people there if they don't even let them speak?

I personally thought Logan loooked good and he carried himself well.  Johnny is a hot mess.  I think he was a mess going in and Victoria eating him up and spitting him out did him no favors.  He is one of the few contestants that I've seen that you could truly tell had ZERO desire to be there.  He's clearly under contract to show up.

I liked Brittany during the show, I thought she came across as very normal for this franchise but she came across as a total bitch tonight.  I agree that Tyler is probably too much and seeing where he actually lives and what he does for a living is probably a total turnoff, esp because I think she is possibly a model?   However, the beach did her no favors.  I thought she looked cute at the beginning of the season but a bit haggard by the end.

Brandon is just YUCK to me.  So over the top.  I think Tyler was maybe trying to act a bit like him and Brittany wanted none of it.  I think Serene must have pretty low self esteem to want a guy like that.  I'd be running after about 5 minutes.

Kate reminds me of a friend I've had for many decades (we are twice the age of the average contestant here).

If the guy didn't dress completely right, or drove up in the wrong type of car, she was. OUT.

She let one guy go because he was in grad school, and he drove an old car.  She wanted a "man" who was already established.  He's been married for several years now, happily, with kids, and yes, very successful.

Another guy turned up in an older suit for an event, so he was. OUT.  Again....he's now married, very successful, and yes, very happy.

Guess where my friend is now?  Over 60, never married.

Kate, my crystal ball shows me your future....

Kate is an asshole. I see no appeal in Logan but was impressed with how articulate he's been this season and how perfectly he described their situation at various times.

There were a lot of people there I wanted to hear from and didn't - Andrew, Ency, Lace. I fast forwarded half the episode because of recaps - how did they take such a painfully drawn out season and then rush through the most interesting episode? I also would have loved to hear or see Gabby's reaction to the Johnny/Victoria situation. Poor guy.

Eeeee Danielle Maltby is moving to Akron?! I'm in Cleveland! Does she need girlfriends? I feel like she needs girlfriends. How do I casually tell a cool girl I'd like to be friends?

Victoria is out of Johnny's league. It showed, after they left the island. Victoria & Greg looked so smarmy and low rent together. Johnny said dozens of times he was not ready to get engaged, he should have stuck to that.

I noticed that this season, made no mention of the Boom Boom Room. Last season it was all the rage. Just about Justin & Ashley at the beginning, but they are married so who cares. They probably still had it, but it wasnt smeared in our faces like last season, like a porn shoot.

My guess -- 100% speculation -- is they were planning a deep-dive into the Andrew/Jessinia/Ency thing, but it fell apart without Teddi.  Since Andrew explicitly said he had feelings for Teddi, and Teddi explicitly said she wasn't really feeling it with Andrew, they dropped it completely when she didn't come to ATFR. Not a peep from anyone.

I can only assume Teddi is DONE. She did her time and left with flaming tire tracks behind her. Any story they try to tell with Andrew but without Teddi is going nowhere, so they dropped it entirely.

That probably puts a stake through the heart of either Andrew or Teddi becoming the lead.

My favorite part of the episode is Rodney saying, "Thanks, I wish you the best" to Eliza.

I think Eliza thought they'd have an "Officer and a Gentleman" moment, where he'd walk over, lift her off her feet, and carry her away.

(I know we sort of got this moment from Jill and Jacob, but come on, does anyone think that will last?)

But instead, he told her in very polite terms that he was over her.

I'm betting his DM's have been BLOWING up.  Dude has options.

If every guy behaved with the grace, class & maturity that Rodney showed, there wouldn't be a show.

This show thrives on childish antics and entitled conceit. Sure, I watch it. This is not how I was raised but it is fun to see others behaving badly.

The second best is Teddi, by not showing up to the reunion show. She did her part on the show, it went sideways and she cut loose before it got ugly. She didn't return at any time to relive it or stretch out her 15 minutes. I would say she would be a good Bachelorette, with a tagline of not putting up with any B S. But she most likely wants to put it all in the past.

Poor Johnny.  I think the last person he needed in his life was Victoria.  That girl is cold as ice!  I can't decide if it's just her appearance with all the Botox or if she's described somewhere in the DSM-II.

Though I enjoyed having an after show this season, they could have done it in an hour.  How much of our time can you waste with recaps?  We'd have to be pretty stupid if all of that drama was not painfully fresh in our minds.  And I totally agree with the comment that, instead, we should have heard from more of the contestants.  They didn't even do bloopers, unless that's what the last few minutes were supposed to be.

Please, leave out all the silly and time-wasting filler crap next BIP, the boring previous contestants, ditch the break week, and check for snakes ahead of time OK?

Well, that was several hours of my life I'm never getting back. This season has been an absolute hot mess, and not in a good way. So many people were just so awful, I don't want to watch Katie fall in love, i want to watch her get pelted by tomatoes. Although I think that Victoria wins for least likable person at the reunion, even Genevieve came off better. Genevieve

Like with a lot of the season, I feel like half of this was useless padding, like Well's and his stupid recaps. We hardly even got to talk to half the cast.

Rodney is just the best, Eliza does not deserve him at all, I was so happy to see him basically shut the door in her face. So first picking him was "a mistake" then picking Justin was "a mistake", why would anyone give her the time of the day after jerking these guys around so much?

This season has been pretty awful, but you all have certainly made it a lot more fun! Happy Holidays, may they all be a lot more fun than this show.

Am I not remembering correctly - I thought when Rodney originally came in he said he was interested in meeting Teddi. She was with Andrew, then left bc of the stress of choosing between the two. He ended up with Lace by default because he had only come for Teddi. Dumps Lace for Eliza, heartbroken about Eliza and Justin and no further mention of his original interest in Teddi, as if everyone completely forgot about that when he left.

Victoria is nasty, but I think Johnny has some degree of culpability here too. Of course, we'll never know for sure.  Maybe he should have borrowed Tino's notebook to journal all this.

I wonder why he and Tyler did not reveal what they seemed to know about Victoria. Johnny appeared to be holding something back while in the hot-seat with Jessie. Then when the cameras filmed him talking with Tyler outside I thought we would find out what else happened between J and V - but once again, nothing. The show teased this angle a third time when they showed Tyler coming back inside. He had a little smile on his face and I thought he was primed and ready to speak out but it was another false promise by the show's producers/editors.🙃

A few people have mentioned on this forum that they think Teddi is odd looking. I agree - IMO she looks unattractive in profile and has an odd chin. I also don't think she would be interested in doing the bach as a lead. I'm guessing she will stay completely away from all things bach.

The reunion was pretty boring, I have to say. I'm guessing that everyone spoke and had stories, but only a few made it to the cutting floor.

And it was STILL boring as heck.

Victoria and Greg were cringeworthy but the only ones that interesting, only because of their weird immaturity and likely shared coke habit (they both seemed high).

This really was a boring season, wasn't it?  Too many cringe moments (Ashley and Jared) nobody to root for, couples break up, switch partners, have meltdowns, but nothing interesting.  All the drama seemed manufactured,  women were cast for their crying ability, there were few likeable people in all. I might be done with this show.

I also believe Tyler over Brittany. She was cold to him. Maybe Tyler was needy but she could’ve made her point on the show in a nicer way. She didn’t look very good either. She looked better on the show than the reunion.

Winners of the reunion: Johnny, Tyler, Rodney.

So glad Rodney didn’t fall for Eliza’s mistake B.S. She is either very confused or desperate to be on TV.

I’m glad Michael and Danielle are still together but I still don’t see it lasting. JMO. Hope I’m wrong.

Agreed.

There's just something....off....about their relationship to me.  Hard to put my finger on it.

Michael is still too hung up on Laura, and unfortunately, he probably will always idealize her, and no woman will ever measure up.

I feel that Danielle is more into Michael than he is into her.  She moved to Akron, but in her own apartment.  She's a nurse from Wisconsin, which means she left her friends, family, job, to be....near.....not with....Michael.

She's morphing into part of his life, but I don't see or feel that he's doing much of the same.  She told him she loved him first, he didn't respond.  He finally blurts it out on the Reunion, but I just didn't feel much emotion from him.

On the last beach episode, when he showed her the compass he carries, and explained the meaning, I kept waiting for him to say that he was going to have one made for her.  Or on the Reunion, to pull one out and give it to her.  That compass was about him, Laura, and his son.  Danielle is still boxed out.

Again, hope I'm wrong.

Yes, he had said a few times that he had only said "I love you" to one person. Ok, but when he finally says it ON TV,  it loses sincerity.  He couldn't tell her in private, he needs an audience.

Agree with your assessment. Michael still seems a little guarded to me, as if he wants to be all-in on Danielle but can’t quite get there. I’m speculating, of course, based on a TV show, so I could be wrong. But from watching them, Danielle seems more ready to commit. How long ago did her spouse/boyfriend die? I’m guessing it was more than a year ago. She’s probably further along in the grieving process.

One4Sorrow, agree Victoria and Greg were tacky. I don’t think the audience liked them much either.

Victoria strikes me as someone who uses men to get what she wants.

So hard to judge how sincere Michael is.  It's not like we knew him before Laura died, or how he is away from the camera.

I think it's safe to say he used James as an off-ramp in Katie's season.

I think Michael and Danielle bonded over their shared experience of loss. And then tried to force a romantic connection because they had that bond. But just because two people have a shared experience doesn't automatically make them good romantic partners. I think she will be put back on the shelf as "a close friend".

i felt bad for Johnny because you can tell it was hard for him to open up and let someone in and you have Victoria who says all the right things and seems like a nice person if you have no background history on her  .. and then once you do , you realize she’s just a run around Sue with no heart . The girl needs therapy alright .

What was up with Brittany ? She was so cold to Tyler who seems like such a good guy . How is he not snatched up yet ? She seemed so into him in paradise just for her to leave and instantly not want him anymore ? So is she just another actress like Victoria ? Seems that way .

i honestly don’t know who’s voice is more annoying , manly Kate’s or manly Brittany’s .

I think Johnny's insecurities and fear of commitment were the main draw for Victoria. She just wanted to see if she could get him to to the point where he'd propose. She's a 'carrot on a stick' girl, she pours all her attention on a guy to get him to fall, then she skips off to the next target. I noticed how she was always kind of ducking away from him when he kissed her and she was rarely reciprocal of anything nice being said, she was just collecting compliments and thanking him for his nice words.

As for Brittany and Tyler, I have to admit that Tyler's image took a hit for me and I think I get why she bailed. He sounds clingy and his fury over the Johnny/Victoria was over the top. I think she really was into Tyler on the beach, but the feelings faded and he wouldn't give her any space.

I don't feel like Kate got quite enough of an audience shaming, she's got to be one of my least favorite contestants ever. Dragging Logan up to the rose ceremony just to thrash him was a bitch move and the constant demands to "do better" for her. Like, what exactly is she bringing to the table?

Her big attempt at a power play was taking the odious Hayden on a date which promptly backfired because...well, it meant spending a day with that douche.

I don't know if the show is mad at Logan for whatever happened on that cruise ship, but if they were trying to take down a "villain," they shouldn't have picked such a poisonous bitch to do it. I was glad he was able to clearly rebut her ridiculous "I didn't say it to your face" bullshit.

My favorite part of the episode is Rodney saying, "Thanks, I wish you the best" to Eliza.

I think Eliza thought they'd have an "Officer and a Gentleman" moment, where he'd walk over, lift her off her feet, and carry her away.

She felt stupid watching the recap and seeing all the nice things Rodney had to say behind her back, while she was putting all her stock in the fact that he didn't forbid her from going on a date. I was very glad he just said "no thank you" to the idea of reopening that door.

Brittany is interested in Andrew but he wants a break from the Bachelor world

I don't really get the sense that Andrew is interested in any type of relationship. Every interaction he had with a woman was so surface and flighty. Like he'd barely make eye contact and was counting the minutes til he could get back with his friends. I think anyone pursuing him would be wasting their time.

Back to the studio where it appears that Eliza is still suffering from selective hearing because she whines--again--that, "If he would have just said..."Rodney points out that he DID say exactly that. I thought Greg Grippo was an A-Hole on Katie's season.

The way he turned on her in about two seconds when she didn't say the exact right thing at the exact right time, gave me chills.  She went running after him, and he had gone from being this kind, sweet, adorable guy to a cold, icy shell.  Reminded me of Dirty John.

Yes. He said he didn't WANT her to go on the date, but didn't demand, "do NOT go." What the heck does she expect?

There were a few times that women complained that the men didn't say things in the exact words that the woman wanted to hear. It made me wonder, "have they MET men?" Not all men have that way of saying the exact words that you want to hear. And when they DO, it seems slick and insincere. (Brandon)
