Popular Post Annber03 February 25, 2022 Popular Post Share February 25, 2022 Okay, first things first, seriously, I really want to hear more about Alberta's time with Al Capone. Second, awwwww, what a great story with Sasappis and Sam this episode. I loved the backstory behind him getting that feather, and how he symbolically passed it on to her to help give her the confidence his father gave him (and it was so cool to see father and son acting together this episode, too, really added to the emotion of the whole story). So sad that Sasappis didn't get a chance to tell his story when he was alive, but I love that he got to do it here, for the ghosts. That ending got me all emotional, especially when Sasappis touched his feather before he began his story. How incredibly sweet of Sam to set it up so that he could tell his story. I'm glad that Sam and Jay took on his suggestions for the website in the end, too. Here's hoping it works for them! Also enjoyed the story with Flower and Pete. Loved Hetty encouraging Flower to speak up and get Pete's attention, and it was great to see this side to Flower in general, with her deep knowledge and love of basketball. An episode like this (and "Al" before this, for me) were sorely needed and welcome tonight. Sasappis' words at the end about all ghosts and living things being connected really hit home. 35 Link to comment

I figured we might see how Sass died. Since he doesn't have any outward injuries. He died the night he was supposed to start storytelling so I'm even more curious now. I think Sam can have lots of stories to tell the guests from the ghosts including stories about Al Capone and reciting the Magna Carta. Lol. They really could make it themed from different eras. I loved them all listening to Sass's story that he never got tell when he was alive. So Flower knows the entire history of Basketball. I do like that add little things to these characters back stories. Once they start adding guests it should be interesting. I wonder if they'll tell people it's haunted. 3 27 Link to comment

twoods February 25, 2022 Share February 25, 2022 I think that is my favorite part of this show- that the ghosts love Jay and are including him, and he’s embracing all of them despite never seeing them. I wonder if he will have some head injury after the finale and be able to see them next season, but that won’t nearly be as much fun. I’ve missed this show and so glad that it’s back. 24 Link to comment

I had no idea that was the real actor's father, I'm going to have to rewatch the episode with that knowledge. I'm glad Sass got to tell his story in the end and the ghosts were so into it. I think Sass is a natural born storyteller and he's one of the ghosts who has seemingly adapted the best as the years have gone by, so his storytelling has crossed generations. I love that Flower knows so much about basketball and wasn't hesitant to throw elbows when she played (when she wasn't getting high at half time). It cracks me up that she's a world peace wanting hippie who could throw down in a game. Alberta just casually tossing out stories of Al Capone is hilarious. Sam needs to make her sit down one day and tell them all. Poor Pete, trapped when Mark sat on him, lol. 26 Link to comment

tennisgurl February 25, 2022 Share February 25, 2022 Awww that ending was so sweet, I am so happy that this show is back and that Sasappis finally got to tell his story. Everyone was so into the story and while he tried to play it off at first, you could tell how much this meant to him. Its really sad that he died before he got to have his big moment when he was alive, but now he gets to share them with people centuries later, which is really cool. Him passing his feather along to Sam to help give her confidence was really nice, even if its a ghost feather so its more of a symbolic gesture. I am really happy that Sam and Jay went with his tree idea, with how much they know about the properties history through the ghosts, it really is a cool idea. I just love this show so much. I really liked the B plot as well, I admit I would not have called peace loving stoner hippie Flower as a huge basketball fan, but I love how the characters have so much depth and I am glad she finally got Pete to be her basketball buddy. Hetty even gave her a pep talk and might be becoming a feminist! As long as that doesn't mean she supports woman handling money or riding bicycles. Sam really should start taking down all of the ghosts life stories, I want to know more about Alberta and Al Capone! I wonder if Sam and Jay will play into the haunted house thing? I bet they could get tons of people who are interested in ghosts, or at least they could use the houses rich history to sell it as a historical location. They could create theme rooms and museums, if they want to play up the ghost angle they could even have the ghosts do their tricks to add some drama. 23 Link to comment

iMonrey February 25, 2022 Share February 25, 2022 I didn't think it was the strongest episode to return to but I'm still happy to have the show back. I loved Trevor referring to himself as "T-Money." Blooper alert: Jay looked at Flower when she sat down next to him. It may be that he was going for "looking around, knowing the ghosts are there" but I think it looked too much like he knew she was sitting down next to him and could see her. Strange the episode centered around Sass without explaining his death. Also, we can now set aside the notion that the character speaks in a modern dialect because he has evolved to do so over the years. He spoke the same way in the flashbacks to 1500. And even spoke in his native tongue until the dialogue switched to English. They are really just trying to avoid any type of stereotypical "Indian" accent. 7 Link to comment
Popular Post Sakura12 February 25, 2022 Popular Post Share February 25, 2022 Sam and Jay can really make their B and B stand out with the ghost stories. She can be like this room you are staying in belongs to a 1920's lounge singer and if you're quiet you can still hear her singing. Then let Alberta sing for them. She can give the ghosts something to do and involve them in the business. She can tell Sass's stories complete with special effects of Thorfin flickering the lights and Trevor moving stuff and for added realism have Issac walk through them. Lol She can also tell the guests if they want to get high without smoking anything to stand still and have Flower walk through them. Lol Sam as the Ghost whisperer can tell stores about the property throughout history. I'd stay in a place like that. 25 Link to comment

Seriously. This is a gift to a writer: to have these kind of characters telling her the stories of their lives. It's also why Sass's idea for the website was brilliant: the stories have always been there, while the living have come and gone. Basing rooms and attractions at the B&B on the real, historical events that took place in and around could make the place VERY successful.(Not to mention having an award-winning chef with a destination restaurant.) Structurally, the arc is there for a very successful business AND writing career for Sam. So we'll see what detours and surprises the writers have in mind. 19 Link to comment

It was just a representation of the scene using English for the audience (and in his retelling of it for Sam) in place of subtitles for the whole scene. And the initial conversation being in their native tongue was just to set the scene. It doesn't make sense that they would actually be speaking English like that, especially randomly switching between them. Obviously I don't know the show's intentions, but breaking the 4th wall and being solely for the audience's sake is what I'm going with in my head, since it's what makes the most sense to me. 3 32 Link to comment
