If Azah wins final HoH she will take Deref so who cares what happened 2 weeks ago?

I think the odds are that she will be the last person sent to jury.  She had already lost to X in Round 1.  Her win in Round 2 was expected.  Anyone would have won against Big D.

True but final competition is puzzle questions and not physical like the first one they did. She has equal chance to win as X.

I agree. I think Ky's overwhelming misogyny (misogynoir) would win out in the end. But if it's X vs. Deref, I think there's a good chance he'd go for Deref.

On Reddit this morning, somebody posted that Ky went on Derrick & Cody’s podcast and declared that he will not vote for X because X took the easy route and is therefore not a good representative for the season. He said that Deref and Azah are much better representatives because they did not take the easy way.

So who knows what Ky will do. Predicting Ky is like predicting the path of a tornado. But my biggest takeaway from this is I should spend much more time in bed. I would be a great representative (of something) and make my family so proud!

So by this criterion, which I don't disagree with, Big D is a worthy winner. I guess I have mixed feelings.

I would also agree, in principle. But his overall self-delusions, taking credit for things he didn’t do, and just generally douchebaggery earn enough demerit points to take him out of the running, IMO.

Azah did approximately as much/ as little as Deref, but did it without being an ass. So she is worthy. That’s my criterion. 😉

Hannah has talked about how Azah wasted her HOH.

She’s not wrong, but even if Azah had done everything you said and it worked out as you predicted, we likely would have ended up with a F3 of either Ky/Deref/Azah or Ky/ Deref/Hannah, which could have ended up with the worst possible F2 of Ky and Deref. <shudder> Maybe not worth the risk.

I would not want to go up against a Lawyer in a mental challenge.  X is a lot more aware of what's going in the house - than he leads on.

If the comp is about what happened in what order and on what day, I think X is a lot better prepared. He has been memorizing and drilling himself on these things since the beginning. I’ve seen Azah studying on occasion, but it’s usually last-minute cramming before a comp.

It’s the lawyerly discipline at work.

If X loses to Azah I will be fine with it because X's read of the house has been off all season and that is why I don't think he played a great game. You saw it the other night when Azah was talking about the house dynamics.

Thank you.

Err, I think Xavier would have been in trouble without the Cookout.

I agree. X would not have made it to the end without the CO. Honestly, the only member of the CO who could have probably made it far without the CO is Tiffany.

In fact no, it used to be a crap shoot like what did the jurors say for various questions, but since BB 18 they changed it and now it is puzzle questions regarding when things in the game happened. I hope that Azah has been studying cause I don't want to see X win. I want a woman to win this year, the first black person to win BB is a woman.

See, I was thinking that it might have changed but couldn't remember because I simply just haven't cared about the finale in so long that as soon as it's over it just leaves my mind. This sucks. I don't think Azah has much of a chance of beating X then. I'm back to not watching the finale lol.

Yeah I haven't watched since Vanessa lost in the crapshoot to Steve and while yes I was mad about it at the time, I wasn't THAT mad because crapshoots are more fair ultimately even if they don't further the sense of deserving everyone is obsessed with. Steve deserved to win not just for his decision after Pt 3 but because he allied with the clear clear best player on that season, in house full of hella dum dums. And if this season is really all about the Vegas theme Pt 3 fuckin better be more subjective questions/crapshoot.

Having said that I don't think it's a slam dunk X beats Azah. She has Fruit Loop system!! I just don't remember X wowing me in any of the comps that were mental but blah blah blah he threw everything blah. Also X admitting he didn't develop relationships is exactly why I'd never ever vote for his ass on BB.

X has no idea what went on in the house. Azah said multiple things last night that were true that Ky should have stuck with Tiffany and Tiffany was targeting X and X was so defensive. He also has no idea how close Christian/Alyssa were to Tiffany/Claire. His delusions are on par with Big D.

I don’t know, I think a question game based on game stats puts everyone on an even playing field. Everyone has the same ability to study and memorize. Unlike physical comps, which favor certain athletic abilities and body types (strength, agility, tiny hands, what have you.)

I prefer a final comp that doesn’t give anyone a specific advantage, but still awards the person who put more time and effort into preparing for it. It doesn’t have to be a memory comp.

Maybe they should do the Survivor thing and have them build fire, lol. First person to ignite the Big Blue Couch wins!

And you believe it???  It's part of his game - to play it down in front of the HGs, to appear less of a threat. His DRs are usually on point. Think about why he didn't want people to know he's an attorney.

The Real delusion?  Thinking that Azah will win the Final HOH, lol.

Who in the CO was most responsible for it's success? 1. Tiffany 2. Hannah 3. Kyland .......huge huge drop off 4. X 5. Azah. Derek F doesn't even rate. At all. Kyland and Hannah were about even, Kyland may have worked harder  but I think Hannah convincing Derek to not play for Veto was more impactful/working smarter, which put the CO in the position of being able to boot him before he/Claire really put their heads together that was a huge deal.*

*tho really the issue was ACTING on/sharing the information with SB.

He has said this in his DRs and to the camera all season by himself. He is not a good enough liar to lie to the audience.   He has no idea that Christian/Alyssa were closer to Tiffany/Claire.  He really thinks he kept the cookout together when he did it once. Azah did more to keep the cookout together than him. I think he is a smart guy I don't think he has a good read on the house. I'm from a family of lawyers so yes I understand why he kept it a secret still doesn't mean he is great at reading the house.

Also I've said multiple times in this thread that X is most likely going to win. So I'm not sure why you are directing that last comment at me.

But getting out Ky is a big move. One that most don't take. So...who is most responsible for getting out the big dogs (Ky and Tiff.. I disagree that Hannah was up there)? X was. He deserves the W.

But I am hoping for Azah. She is such a nice genuine gal. And why not go for the first black FEMALE winner?!?!?

X has enough read on the house where he will get the majority of the jury to vote for him.  That's all that matters.  Bringing up who kept the CO together is not exactly a winning a strategy to a jury where non-cook out members hold the majority.

Sorry, I don't know where else to put this. For anyone who lives in Chicago, am I the only one not seeing Big Brother airing at the moment on CBS? A wildfire-related news story is being aired right now.

There was a story like that on 60 minutes tonight- maybe your station is behind due to an earlier football game ? BB came on at the regular time here in Indiana, though, so I'm not sure ??

The only skill that matters in Big Brother is getting to the end with 50%+1 of the jury liking you better than the other person. Whoever does that deserves to win.

Float, comp beast, socialize...whatever works.

Not only do I want to like this post 100 times, I want to make it a needlepoint and hang it on my wall. Because EXACTLY!!!!

I always get exhausted this time of year with the debates on who deserves the win. Jury management is huge. If you don’t get the jury to vote for you, you’ve failed. See: Paul. Twice.

And if you aren’t sitting in one of those two seats at the end? You don’t deserve to win. Period. That includes Vanessa, that includes Janelle both times she got got at the final crapshoot (back when it was) final HOH, and that will include X, if Azah wins that last HOH.

This is not chess. It ain’t even checkers. It’s a reality show where a bunch of people want to make some easy money and be on TV while doing it. Not a bad gig for any of them.

I just saw on live feeds summary that Azah won round 2. Woo hoo! Maybe this will give her the confidence she needs to blast past X in the final round.

Right now on feeds, Deref is snoring, and Azah and X are snuggled up on the sofa, neither one saying a word. X is staring straight ahead, looking very serious. Because he knows Azah is coming for him and he’s scared. (That’s the interpretation I’m going with.)

Yeah, either X wins and takes Derek or Azah wins and she takes Derek. Neither X or Azah are taking each other. I wouldn’t say he’s scared as more he knows he has to win or he’s done. Perhaps slightly panicking. LOL!!!!

Taran said in his podcast that X has many things wrong in the house about the relationships. He doesn't know many important things and he doesn't know about relationship that existed. X would have been voted out really soon if not for the Cookout but he is delusional saying he would carry his kings to the end.

The only bad think about Azah is that after she loses one question she just gives up. She is not focused enough. She clearly does not believe in herself.

Who do you think casual players are voting for AFP?

When I think of undeserving winners the one that comes to mind is that dude from a couple years back on Survivor (I refuse to look up his name] who basically spent his entire time away from the tribe then came back and won. Nope. You deserved nada.

@himela Thank you for that clip.  Julie is going to just crown him the winner if he uses a bible quote.

Taran even said he will stop using Victoria as the worst player example who would take 1 out of 10 on the stockwatch and he will start using Derek F instead. 😂

Neither are award winning BB players at all, however I think Derek F actually did way more than Victoria ever did in that he had an alliance and talked game and strategy. All of it would have happened without him and he is delusional regarding his power and actual effect in the game, however he did have some influence through his social strategy and his style of repetitive mantras to whomever he spoke to about targeting the girls or lambasting the next target to be sure they go or emphasizing that Azah/Alyssa are like his best friends and he has a locked final 2/3 with X and Ky.

Victoria was a goat who wandered in and out of rooms and waited for her time with Derrick and was dragged to the end, whereas Derek F. had a more active role in the game, even if he couldn’t win any competitions and the Cookout may have made similar choices without him there. His presence and opinion was considered even if he was always a great #2 to drag to the end to sit next to. He was an obvious goat to get to the end and no one voted him out. He was not good at winning BB, but it’s not like he wasn’t there. He was a big emotional support to the Jokers. Victoria kind of just existed.

Can someone explain why Azah keeps saying that she had to get Hannah out to make it to the end? It may well work out for her, but Kyland could’ve easily won the Final 4 HOH, and then she would’ve been gone. I can also get how she may think that X and Deref were better for her game than Hannah, except X will certainly send her out the door on Thursday if he wins, whereas Hannah might not have. Regardless though, Hannah was her actual target during the double eviction, so she wanted her gone.

Is there some actual logic or strategy to that move that I’m missing? I want to root for Azah, but I can’t help but feel like her move was a personal “I want to be the only woman left in the house” sort of thing.

Is this the first season with newbies where they have not once gone to the home of any of the HGs? Covid can’t be a reason because they did film their introductory segments at their homes.

I feel like they haven't done that in forever but again my memory of past seasons is real murky.

Totally. And during a quick live comp, on the finale, that determines whether she wins or loses $750,00 ... well I don't have much faith in her being able to withstand that pressure. I'll be sending her all the good vibes though lol.

I don't think it's a 'last woman standing' thing at all but Azah never warmed up to Hannah. Some of the blame falls on Tiffany's initial decision to exclude Hannah from the CO. Because of the fact that Azah did very look work to become close to most of the CO and their general strategy of not talking to each other much, Azah just never really was involved in the slow process of Hannah becoming a full-fledged member so she always saw Hannah as an outsider and let those initial seeds from Tiffany that Hannah was 'too young' to trust fester in her head.

But Tiff is getting what seems like a good bulk of the non-casual votes.

Apparently, Brittany is a pretty big TikToker plus she got 100 BB Bucks so it seems like she's likely going to be Top 3.

I think the show seems to really like Useless Queen Claire and they have been doing their best imo to get her in there with how they've edited her.

Derex is the lock and I'm about 98% sure he'll win.

She is lying to herself to justify a suboptimal game move. She got rid of Hannah because she has always liked her the least and never wanted to include her in the CO.

To be clear getting rid of Hannah was suboptimal but not actively bad for her as here she is one comp win away from winning the whole thing. It's highly improbably that she wins part 3, but not impossible.

Same with Tiffany nd AFP I'm hoping but it will likely go to Derek X the  casuals love a nice player not a good player.

So re AFP, i was listening to the RHAP reviews and people were complaining about using  "old school" texts to vote for AFP.  I'm wondering what type of voting do they think will work better?  They never say, so any thoughts here?

I remember when we used to vote by going on CBS' website, which was really clunky.  Texts seem fine to me.  i just can't think of any other way to do it?  actual phone calls?  back to the website?

I have only seen one person in particular call it old school and she harps on it every time and I too am like and what is the modern way of the vote young whippersnapper?! I assumed they mean texting the "name" especially since it was obvious people were confusing Derek F and Derek X I think the voice has contestant specific numbers. The Voice look like it recommends the app to vote, but also still has texting for those who aren't app savvy?

Yea, I’m assuming they mean the site or an app. It’s been done on the site for so long but maybe it was originally done through text. I don’t remember. I do find it strange they decided to stop using the site and go to texts this season. Maybe because of all the confusion the past couple seasons on whether or not you had to be an All Access member to vote.

Also weird because you used to be able to do 10 votes a day (and for BB Bucks it was 10 votes a day) but now it’s 1 vote a day. Trying to curb the bot voting maybe?

OMG it sounds like Azah's middle school crush/Big D's constant need for reassurances coupled with his complete disdain for her game has her questioning whether to take X instead. Now mind you I'd love to have her take him and STILL WIN but that is the darkest timeline. If she takes X she needs to have her logics and Tea for the jury this is not a case where she can sell them on how great she was she needs to remind them how X is hardly all that and how the men used and discarded the women of the CO.  But if I know Azah "I'm just happy to lose to this pretty pretty man" than yeah. Fuck.

The only silver lining is Derek F gets NOTHING.

Remember when Deref was upset he couldn't count as a sympathy vote for Alyssa because he was upset that would cost him the win?

This has irritated me all season. Why do they think the being the sympathy vote is going to gain them a jury vote if they make F2? To the point where they were arguing over who got to be the sympathy vote. The evictee doesn't get a list of who voted which way. Plus you could just lie in your goodbye message and say you were the sympathy vote even if you weren't. And whether or not you cast a sympathy vote, the person still gets voted out and will know that you were part of the alliance that chose to get rid of them.

I can live with pretty much any outcome, and Derek getting nothing is very sweet, not as sweet as X getting nothing but Azah literally said she's just happy to be here, it's her "purpose" to lose to a black CO man instead of win against a black CO man. And again her wavering has very little to do with what X is doing (except being hot to Azah) and much more to do with how much Derek is making her hate him.
