Lisa is there because people like her. Not you, obviously, 😆 but she has fans. I don't know much about her, but I think she is pretty, she's in amazing shape, she dances well, and has presence on the field.

Not every DCC is meant to be glamorous. Part of the DCC mystique is to include "a girl for every fan." That means glamour girls, yes, but also includes the athletic girl, the girl next door, the leggy beauty, the bubbly outgoing type, the petite dynamo, and so on. You're going to have Lexie, but you're also going to have Maddie, and both have plenty of fans.

I don't pay attention to anonymous comments  like "so-and-so is a kiss up" or "nobody likes so-and-so" because when it comes to things like that, the source is just as important as the story they are telling, and when I have no clue as the credibility of the source, I don't care that much what they are saying, even if the source is an insider.

Insiders share verifiable facts, but they also share their opinions, and those two things aren't always the same. We have definitely had some insiders in the past who had an axe to grind with certain cheerleaders and made no bones about it. Just because you know who got cut in advance, doesn't necessarily make you The Unbiased Source of Truth on all topics. I take everything I read here with a shovelful of salt.

Kya appears to be missing from the Denise D. Photo.  As do a few others.  TCC Amanda, Madisyn, TCC Erin, and Bre.  Though I may not be able to recognize all the TCC.

Is anyone else getting déjà vu? I feel like this exact same thing happened a couple of years ago. A photo was posted, there was a big uproar because someone wasn't in it, and then it turned out they were still in TC, they just weren't in that particular photo?
 

Which isn't to say someone hasn't been cut, but honestly, who knows anymore?

Tbh I think going private is more of a sign of them being in TC rather than the opposite - less likely they can leak anything that way.

I like the diversity of the body types but... others many shaped like Lisa have been cut bc of their body type that is why she's not my fave. Maybe not the best answer but i'm all about fair is fair now i'm wondering why I love the DCC bc this 'world class' squad couldn't be further from fair with its decision making...

1000% - it’s the same way every year. Part of the fun, tho! I’m amazed at how eagle eyed so many posters can be. With this social media pause the TCC seem to be under, the little nuggets of data we get from choreographers, judges, etc. at least keep it a little more interesting between insider posts.

OKAY so now that I’ve caught up on everything - I’m gutted to find out Amanda is the vax refuser. I liked her so much. And Daphne getting injured is so sad, I had such high hopes for her to be a 2GL this year too.

Thank God, Ashlinn (next to Jada) and Tori still there. And sweet Madeline Salter on the left edge. And my favourites: Ava, Amber, Jordann (behind Ashlee) and Kleine.

Kelee is also there, thank God.

Kat is definitely in the back of the picture, talking beyond Kelli and Judy.

Now Amanda is gone, I am happy that Dani is still on the team.

This means at least one cut after finals. So, assuming I identified everyone correctly, then Amanda (TCC), Bre, Kya, Madisyn, and Rebecca have been cut. (Not sure if the 4 TCC who were cut have already been disclosed)

Woo Boy- have TPTB realize how much team building needs to happen in the next year? They are going from top heavy in seniority to a bunch of unknown rookies to hinge their team upon in 2022 and 2023. I didn’t get the feeling from the 2020 rookies that any of them would stick around 3 or 4 years. I think this will make it easier for Victoria to return - they will welcome the experience and seniority.

I’m honestly gutted for both,

Amanda/Kelcey we’re my faves out of their rookie class - but I do love Lily too

Hannah, Daphne and Cici from their class (I did love Brennan too)

so was understandably fuming over the cuts. 
 

hopefully Daphne will heal and potentially return. Only one left now who I’m really routing for is Kelcey. (Guess now I’ll never get those signed cameos 🤣🤣)
 

I really wanted to see Amanda as point and really hoping Kelcey and Chandi get gl/2gl positions. I’d LOVE to see Kelcey in the diamond and she’s got the right amount of pow to rock it up there

 

really hoping we do get to see more about the rookies this season and  more interactions it was lacking so bad from last years

With Amanda and Daphne leaving the team (in addition to the already-announced retirements and Victoria's departure), could this possibly be the year that JALYN finally gets a chance to shine? In her rookie year, she was one of my favorites along with Ashlee. I've always felt that something was awry the next year when Kelli booted her from Show Group. Whether or not the Victoria rumors are correct, it never felt quite right that Kelli suddenly turned cold on Jalyn. I don't expect to see her in the triangle, but I'd at least like to see her acknowledged as a quality dancer, back on Show Group, closer to the front of the triangle, and a 2nd GL.

While I'm thankful for all the new info and "drama," I gotta say I'm a bit underwhelmed when it comes to the "big name" angle? 

I dunno. I guess I just thought we were gonna get a Rachel Wyatt. Or a Gina Ligi. Or maybe a Caroline Sundvold. 

Amanda and Daphne are both strong, SG dancers, and Amanda IS loved, but I really thought we were gonna see a shift in the point picture. Guess not.

Didn't say I'm a fan of glamour photography, just that that's what it's called😃.  TBH, I wouldn't want my BFF, my sister, or my kid doing it for a variety of reasons I won't bore you with. But I figure, that's her dream, and she's putting a lot into it.  Some people are into synchronized swimming, some people climb Everest, some people collect vintage vacuum cleaners. I really don't understand the homophobic thing with Rachel. When this topic was first mentioned during her rookie year, I asked someone to point out to me what she tweeted that was homophobic, and the person just told me to look at her twitter. I did and I saw a bunch of stuff about her conservative politics, but I didn't see anything homophobic. I'm still lost as to where that comes from, unless people assumed that conservative automatically = homophobic. Just like some assumed conservative = antivax (cough cough).

 

ETA: I wasn't asking the question back then (or now) to attack or challenge, but because I wanted to see it for myself. That label, just like the "racist" label is so damaging, it can absolutely destroy a person's reputation and prospects, so I need to see some evidence before I'm willing to get on board.

I agree. When I think “big name” I think Gina, Lexie, Rachel, Caroline, and Kat. Four of those due to leadership and Kat because she’s well known. If Victoria hadn’t left she would be included in that group too.
