The saddest part to me?  The kids being there with a WTF look on their faces.

The second saddest part?  There was a 1/2 second blip of D on the couch with G.  She was snuggled up to him and rubbing his chest.  No, D, he isn't coming back.  And you are embarrassing yourself sweetie.  

This was a shitty end of season show.  As we know, many "couples" won't make it back.  Give us a wrap up.  Or are the producers as over this as we are and after the Ick disaster and the grifters, this was the series end?

Good call. You are prob right! That looong hug when she arrived is to keep making sure he marries her so she secures her shot to come to the US. This would make a great 90 Day Fiance crossover where it involved the K1 Visa, it should be it's own show for sure. Garrick is the one she needs to keep pleasing because the others will fall into line. You know, patriarchy and all that he is the boss. It has been mentioned that Dannielle's Dad is a very conservative Christian so this is 2nd generation situation for Dannielle which I think, contributes to how passive she is. I like her Mom though so I don't quite get it. I think there's a lot unsaid in this family under the surface that hasn't been said in generations. 

I feel so angry that I don't know if I can watch this anymore. I am very triggered in general when talk of God's will is used as indoctrination into terrible ideas and a tool to gaslight other people into bad decisions. I believe this is what is happening and what Garrick is doing. I was happy when I heard his parents drew the line and I am conflicted because that's not a nice thing to think or feel. He makes me SO angry.

So today I’m reading through all the posts and I wonder if the producers felt the dirty hypocrisy of the season just like we did and that’s why there is no Tell All or Reunion.  I have watched the shows about the polygamist families of Southern Utah and I think I didn’t get this upset because they didn’t rub our noses in the self defined religious aspect.  Now 75% of thepeople on this show had a whole religion to themselves and the other 25% (Winders) bowed out before the end.   I guess the take away, if there is one, is that this stuff doesn’t work unless there are pretty rigid rules and structure and most of society today doesn’t work that way.  
I STILL feel intense sadness for the kids who are being sucked into this chaos, because that’s what it is without the predefined cultural structure.

I am trying to decide if I have no words or too many words for this train wreck of a show.  I say this with my deepest and sincere apologies to train wrecks.  These people make me so stabby, and I want a button on my remote that allows me to slap all the 'adults" in this episode.  There are a lot of grown people in this episode, but none of them seem to have the sense God gave a goat.

Let me get my comments on the Snowdens out of the way.  I have never liked them and always felt sorry for their children who make me uncomfortable with their apparent quick attachment to strangers.   I think while Ashley may be content not to  be legally married to Dimitri she will quickly resent Christalene --I have no idea how to spell it-- being a legal wife;  she made it quite clear when she stuck the "bindi"on Chrissy's forehead that Chrissy better remember she is the second wife.   The only reason I see that Ashley wants a second "wive" is to have a built in cook and nanny.  I think Dmitri may want sex a lot more than Ashley so she is happy to have some one to relieve her of her wifely duties most of the time.  Not sure what is in it for Chrissy except she may think the US is a better place for her children and/or she is hoping a modeling agency will see her and stick her on the cover of Elle or a movie producer will see her and cast her in his next film.  I would have a lot less  anger about this arrangement if no children were involved. 

The Merrifields---the episode should be entitled "War of the Bikinis" or something similar.  In an earlier episode, Roberta had more of a muffin top so I guess she has lost a few inches as she looked better than when she went on her date day with GarrICK and they went swimming or snorkeling.   The "war" did give my a tiny sliver of hope that Dannnnielle  may awaken from her trance at some point and fight to save her former monogamous marriage.  Sitting by GarrICK and rubbing his chest like she is marking him as her own is not going to cut it with a man that much in lust with another woman.  I hate that the boys are on this trip.  It is one thing to sell Roberta to them as another mother, but to have them there on a baby- making vacation is not good parenting. They are old enough to know what is happening behind closed doors, and they are probably even more icked out than we viewers are.

Neither the Snowdens or Dmitri have mentioned the money that it costs to bring someone to the US on a  spousal VISA.   Recently on  90DF we have seen Tiffy having to get her dad to be a co-sponsor as her income isn't sufficient.  And I think Elizabeth had to get her dad to co-sponsor Andrei for the same reason. 
 

Ma and Pa Dannnnielle-----there is something about Ma that reminds me of Jenny from 90DF.  I think they are desperate to stay involved in their grandchildren's lives so they are reluctant to stand up to GarrICK.   So far, they are pretty useless when it comes to talking sense into GarrICK.

Roberta--- I hope she is on BC and doesn't want a baby yet.   She doesn't look all that young to me so maybe she is listening to her biological clock and does want a child.  GarrICK is probably afraid she will find someone better so he want to have a baby to keep her in his control.  If she has a baby but can't or won't come to the US,  Dannnnielle is going to get really sick of GarrICK leaving her to go to Brazil.  I guess his business is big enough that someone can run it in his absence.

I think it said it all for me when Roberta didn’t even glance at the two boys when she came in. Then all the sobbing and I love you’s to Dannielle’s parents made them all look nuts. Are Ick and Bert really leaving the bedroom door open? Did the cameramen ask the family to go in the other room while they filmed the happy couple in bed? There is no reason to bring the kids in on this. Garrick better hope he can keep his business, he will need lots of money.

No interest in yet another Snowden wedding. They barely put an effort into it and it won’t last.

 Dannnielle's father works for Garrick so maybe that's why he's going along with what his daughter and ick are wanting.  Maybe it's all he can do to be employed.

Chrissy’s har changed colour and shape from the episode to the wedding. I have no idea why Ashley chose the flowers when Chrissy should have chosen her own. I loved  the collar she wore. Beautiful colours and suited the dress. The bindi Ashley put on her looked like a smear of mud. 
You have all said everything about Ick that I thought when I was watching the show. He is revolting.

This is interesting... and explains why he doesn't tell Garrick to kick rocks. 

Money is a factor for sure in all of this baloney - I bet Garlick didn't want to just divorce Danielle and be with Bert because he would lose half his business - that is why he is stringing her along.  He doesn't love her, he doesn't even like her.  But it's cheaper to keep her.

This asshole figured out a way to leave his wife without any financial consequences, and still keep her around to take care of his kids, house and work for the business.

Garrick and Dannielle already divorced so he could marry Roberta.  Given what a fool Dannielle has been throughout, she probably accepted no spousal or child support unless the latter is required in their jurisdiction.  Basically Ick found a very sly way of dumping his wife without having to care for her in the future.  If she completely walks away she'll need to find a job since she was working for his business.  Ick is a special kind of awful.

I am more disappointed than I should be that there is not a tell all for this season. I want to see if Bert made it to the US, and if Danielle has figured out she's only around to take care of the business and home while Garrick puts babies in Bert.

You mean the "acoustic sound healer"?? I still laugh when I think about that. I'm a child of the 70's, when everyone was into something mystical. Tarot, numerology, astrology, Wicca. The piano player at the bar I worked at did astral projection. I dated a guy who was a psychic healer. A friend of mine threw the I Ching. I read Tarot and still do. It was very normal. I still have a soft spot for folks who are into new age-y stuff. To be sure I side eye a lot of it. But holy shit, the "acoustic sound healer" fucking finished me. How, with a straight face, does she introduce herself? Maybe she and the vagina steamer are buddies.

Exactly, its the smug, superior "we are so much more evolved than the hoi polloi" attitude that I can't stand. They are such phonies. Dimitri does not have one fuck to give about any of it, its Ashley who's the crystal gazing, vagina steaming, aura reading, sage burning, chakra aligning, spirit channeling, third eye focusing "spiritual leader" in this melange. The psychic healer I went out with told me "its all a system"; a way to try to understand the world. That stuck with me. No matter what it is--traditional religions, new age religions, astrology, tarot, crystals, meditation, Magick, past lives, whatever. Just ways for us to try and make sense of things, and all valid. BUT, I will cheerfully mock anyone who strikes me as insincere, posing, or full of shit.

Yes! I think that's why they searched abroad this time. Easier to isolate.

With Vanessa I though all 3 of them concocted the "love story" for airtime. I didn't actually care because I really liked Vanessa and had a bit of a girl crush on her. However, considering how things have unfolded I no longer think it's being totally faked. Dimitri and Ashley are faking something but the women they're bringing in don't seem to be in on it. I felt sorry for Chrissy in this episode. They brought her over, and were apparently able to take being fairly decent people, then she became trapped with these heifers during a pandemic without any friends or family nearby and no way to get home. Ouch. 

The counterargument is that she and Tayler should be known better if they'd watched the first 2 seasons. Who knows what lies A & D fed them, though. I'm pretty good friends with a localish couple who appeared on a season of 90DF and their TV personalities and IRL personalities are totally different. They didn't get a terrible edit, but it wasn't a good one either. The Snowdens also seem like they'd be great at lovebombing. And they might have become involved before S2 finished airing. 

Regardless, between them and Tricky Icky this epi was a little painful.

Here's another counterargument - go on a website for singles and don't try to "date" married couples that you met online!  Odds are great that they'll be weirdos! 😂
