Ah.  I'd never heard that about him  :(

Me neither, until I read about that experience. It sucks when people run into that kind of situation. The person said that they had had a crush on him until then. The way he acted pretty much killed it.

Ben Browder is my forever crush. Thought he was smoking hot when I first saw him on Party of Five, loved him on Farscape, put up with two years of the most boring antagonists in TV history on Stargate SG-1 for his sake, and will still go out of my way to watch any guest appearance or crappy Sci-Fi movie he might be found in.

Bumping it up with news that Chris Hemsworth, former star of Aussie soap Home & Away (BTW, he plays Thor occasionally) , is People magazine's choice for this year's "Sexiest Man Alive." Other former TV stars on the list include Idris Elba, Chris Pratt and Michael B. Jordan.

A month or so ago, I posted that I had just started watching Justified, and that Timothy Olyphant is just sex on a stick in that role. Now, a month and 4 seasons later, I have to say - I don't know when it happened, but Walton Goggins may have matched him. Didn't find him attractive on The Shield, but my God, something about him as Boyd Crowder is sexy. Maybe the way he carries himself?

And you know, Jacob Pitts is no slouch either. Damn, that's a show with some good looking men.

Well...there are so many I could name, but I'll just for now start with my first-ever TV crush... Shaun Cassidy in the Hardy Boys. Oh my did I love him way back when.  And I remember saving up my money so I could buy his debut album as well... first album I ever bought and more than 35 years later, I still have it!

ITA. Walton as Boyd is a sexy beast! Not as pretty as the other two, but he's got charisma and charm in spades.

I was so very sad when Brett Dalton shaved his beard on SHIELD the other day. He was tremendously hot with that beard. I mourn.

Shaun Cassidy was my sister's first TV crush (mine was David so we kept it all in the family) and we got a chance to meet him backstage before one of his shows circa 1977.  Even though I wasn't really into Shaun I squealed and screamed like the 12 year old I was.

So many men and women, so little time. All listed in no particular order.

Men:

- Charlie Hunman (spelled wrong I'm sure): He plays Jax on Sons of Anarchy. He is a gorgeous man and I love me a British accent.

- Timothy Olyphant: Yes, sex on a stick. Good God!

- Tony Goldwyn: Ever since Ghost. For some reason, he's always done it for me. He always plays such asses though.

- Omari Hardwick: He's on Being Mary Jane.

- Idris Elba

Those are my current ones as are the ones below.

Women:

- Bellamy Young: Mellie on Scandal.

- Kerry Washington

- Tracee Ellis Ross: Rainbow on Blackish

- Gina Torres

Hi all! My first post here

I see sort of a pattern with my guys:

Tom Mison

Peter Horton

John Corbett

Jeff Goldblum (Law & Order CI)

Tony Shalhoub

Craig Ferguson

Jon Stewart

Jimmy Fallon

I love long haired hotties and funny nerds!

I have always thought Jimmy Fallon was adorable.

Me too!  I know some people really found it annoying that he can't keep his shit together during live skits, but it just so endeared him to me.  He's my favorite part of the ubiquitous Blue Oyster Cult Cowbell skit.  (Well, maybe my favorite moment is when Chris Kattan asks "What does that even MEAN?" about the gold-plated diapers, but still).

Frankly, Jimmy giggling is one of my favorite things about SNL (which I love), and yes, he giggles in EVERY sketch he's in. It looks like he's having such fun. The Barney's sketch with Sean Hayes is so classic for just that thing.

Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky) - I'll own it. I recently rediscovered the series and watch it all the time now, just to see his beautiful face. I remember as a child, all my friends loved Hutch. Let 'em fight over him and take "Starsk" for myself.

With you there sista. Huge crush on PMG. Would watch Fiddler On The Roof just to hear him sing. I had it bad.

Among women, I think Cybill Shepherd is one of the most beautiful people on the planet, especially during the Moonlighting era.

She was/is beautiful. And sassy. But let's not forget Bruce Willis. He was great, too. I loved him in that show. He had a great behind. Looked soooo goooood walking away.

Charlie Hunnam definitely belongs on the list. he's got a great body of work like QAF (UK), Undeclared and Sons Of Anarchy and a great body period, as also shown on those shows, especially in SOA. Hell, his ass alone on that show is reason enough to put him here.

Showing my age and probably weird taste in men.

Siddig El Fadil (later called himself Alexander Siddig) from Deep Space Nine. Just thought he was wonderful on the show and so adorable and cute.

I was a teenager in the early 90's and with the whole grunge era, LOTS of guys wore their hair long. Lots. Hence my love of men with long hair. There was this show on that I really like called The Young Riders (a western). Half of those guys on that show were so gorgeous and had the most amazing hair.

The ones I thought really hot on the show were Josh Brolin (Jimmy Hickok), Stephen Baldwin (William Cody), Gregg Rainwater (Running Buck Cross) and later Don Franklin (Noah Dixon). Franklin didn't have the long hair though.

I know, I am strange.

I completely ignored James Garner when the Rockford Files was on.  Maybe being 10 had something to do with it.

Now that I've caught up with Jim Rockford in age (more or less)... damn, he was fit and good looking for a 50-year-old.  Could have easily passed for ten years younger.

So, I highly recommend looking backward for lost hotties.

I loved James Garner, loved his movies (Americanization of Emily anyone?  Victor/Victoria?), loved Rockford, even loved First Monday, but I couldn't crush on him.  He and my dad were both from Oklahoma, (they never met), about the same age, and absolutely the same accent.  So I always found JG to be delightfully comfortable.

If he'd had a different accent, I would totally have been crushing.

Apropos of nothing in this thread: are there any collections, text and/or audio, of the messages left on Jim Rockford's answering machine over the years?

Matt Bomer looks amazing in the suits he wears on White Collar.

YES! Men take notes on how to wear a suit. I want my man to dress JUST like that. Whew! Neal Caffrey is just as sexy too!

Joining in on the Will Smith love. He was my first crush. Everything about Fresh Prince was great.

I have a list, so let's see.....

Ben from Felicity (Scott Speedman) So great.

George from ER (Clooney) Um, yes, no words needed.

Jack Thorton from When Calls the Heart (Daniel Lissing) Soft spoken yet powerful

Michael Scofield from Prison Break (Wentworth Miller) Blue eyes of steel!

Michael Vaughn from ALIAS (Michael Vartan) He's the reason I loved the show. So pretty!

Coach from Friday Night Lights (Kyle Chandler) He just gets better with age for reals!

Matthew Crawley from Downton Abbey (Dan Stevens) Um, old school romantic and gorgeous. Ugh, just take me back there! (And google him now, wow, does he look even better!)

Will Shuester from Glee (Matthew Morrision) Good looking and a teacher? Yes, sign me up for Espanol. Too bad the show kinda went downhill

John Ross from Dallas (new) (Josh Henderson) Southern and good looking. Oozes sex appeal and danger and I love the combo!

Sparatcus from Spartacus (Andy Whitfield) RIP. What a beautiful man. Stupid cancer!

Jack Thorton from North and South mini series (Richard Armitage) JUST WATCH. And be amazed.

Don Draper from Mad Men (John Hamm) He may be a real a** but wow is he looking fine. The aviators and suits do everything for me!

Jim Halpert from The Office (John Krasinski) Everything about him was nerdy and total adorable. He had such a lovable face!

For the past few years, my current TV husband has been Bill Fichtner. He's just as genuine and nice in person as he appears in interviews and yes, those cheekbones are amazing.

All of the above, except for the part about him being your husband... I will fight you. ;)

As a teenybopper, I had a big crush on Brian Kerwin (when he was on Sherriff Lobo).  Oh, the terrible NBC lineups I watched for my favorites...

Was reminded of this when I saw him the other night in Murphy's Romance, where he was very cute and well-cast as the lovably immature ex-husband.

Hasn't he been on a soap opera lately?  Or am I mixing him up with someone else...

The oddest thing about my TV star crushes is that, as a wee little dweeb, I invariably went for blue-eyed blondes.  These days, I'm all about the tall dark ones.

I think past and present Chris Noth is hot. Something about bushy eyebrows.

I'm totally on board with you.  When Thanksgiving rolls around, I give my thanks for Oz and full frontal male nudity.

After seeing the first two episodes of Agent Carter, I'm adding James D'Arcy and Enver Gjokaj, aka Howard Stark's butler Jarvis and Agent Carter's colleague Agent Souza (respectively), to my crush list.

Speaking of classically handsome, while Chris Evans is that, his escorting Betty White to the stage to accept her "Favorite TV Icon" award at this year's Peoples' Choice Awards proves just how beautiful he really is.

I think my original tv crush was David Birney on Love is a Many Splendored Thing, which was a 60's soap opera. He was married to Donna Mills on the show. I have had many crushes since then. One of the reasons I loved Lost so much was because of all the good looking men. Daniel Dae Kim and Henry Ian Cusick? Yes, please.

My current tv crush is Tristan MacManus, who sadly is no longer on Dancing with the Stars but will appear this season on the British version.

Ah, avecsans, we're in agreement even in threads that aren't DWTS-related. I don't know about David Birney -- he was OK, I guess -- but I crushed on pretty much the entire male cast of Lost. In addition to Daniel & Henry, let's not forget Josh Holloway and his dimples; Nestor Carbonell and his natural eyeliner; the beautiful Ian Somerhalder; Matthew Fox, possibly the best male crier in the business; and Terry O'Quinn, handsome and fiercely talented. I swear the eye candy on that show helped get me through all six seasons.

Tristan MacManus -- how I miss his talent, humor, heart, handsomeness, and delicious Irish accent. Hopefully with Derek Hough out of DWTS this season they'll come to their senses and bring Tristan back.

I'll second (or third, or whatever) the wonderful Lee Pace, and a healthy Matthew Perry will forever be my handsome, funny, pretend boyfriend.

ETA, having read more posts:

I had never heard of Joshua Sasse before, but man is he sexy as Galavant.  Good acting, good singing, easy on the eyes.....I can't stop watching him when he's on screen.

I'd never heard of him either, but he's been making the rounds of talk shows promoting Galavant and he's incredibly charming, down to earth, and has a quick wit. So yeah, it's all good.

My blasts from the past: Brian Kerwin for sure, and young Martin Sheen and Pierce Brosnan were both ridiculously handsome (and Brosnan is aging like fine wine.) For soap operas, Laurence Lau who played Greg of "Greg & Jenny" fame on All My Children. Pure teenybopper? David Cassidy.
