  1. I just heard Christina in Flip or Flop say "A whole nother" in her annoying vocal fry. She needs speech and language therapy big time.
  2. I have started DVRing Fixer Upper and fast-forwarding to the end to see the results(count the clocks, window frames, rough wood mantels, words on walls). I'm not a fan of the cutesy stuff with the family. I started watching in the beginning because I was in awe of the price of real estate in Waco compared to here in Austin. Now I may quit watching entirely. I guess my favorite designs are from the Love It or List It programs, especially the Vancouver ones. At least the ideas are fresh and the scenery is beautiful. I still DVR and FF through the drama and bickering.
  3. I didn't care for the brass at all either, or the way the dishes were displayed on the shelves. It would be interesting to see what the homeowner does on her own. I love the sofa and I hope they keep it!
  4. Joanna did a great job with the MCM home in last night's episode. I didn't see any giant clocks, but there were a few window frames on the wall. I would have chosen different finishes in a few areas, but at least she didn't make it look the same as all the other houses she has been doing.
  5. I really have enjoyed this show, but each remodel uses too many of the same elements. The giant clocks, empty window frames hung on the wall, white kitchens with subway tile, etc. My husband and I take bets on how many clocks each house will have. It will be interesting to see if Joanna comes up with something new for the upcoming MCM home.
  6. I have medium brown hair with some gray. I started using Surya Brasil cream henna in Chocolate and it covers the gray nicely and it looks highlighted as it fades out. My hair is shiny and undamaged from this product. The only downside is that it only lasts a couple weeks and I have to leave it on for an hour.
  7. Does anyone remember a show called The Second Hundred Years"? I remembered it fondly but I recently found the pilot episode on YouTube and it was so lame.
  8. Oh my, yes he was a hottie! He was nerdy smart sexy as the president in a The West Wing.
  9. Here in TX, every weather report on one of the stations is "STORM TEAM", no matter what the weather is. When they're correct about a forecast, especially a major weather event (which is very rare) they pat themselves on the back and toot their own horns on commercials for months. Same goes for their "investigative reports", which uncover corruption but rarely get results.
  10. I just saw a couple episodes of "Sarah Sees Potential'. The format is similar to Property Brothers but I like the finished product much better and there's not as much faux drama. The best thing is that the shows are only half an hour, so I'm not as likely to DVR it and just ff to the end to see the results.
  11. I'm strange too. I love Alan Alda, Frank Langella and Martin Sheen. Kinda sweet, bad boy and sexy.
  12. This isn't exactly tv related but I detest it when people mean "voilà" and say "wala". Another pet peeve is spelling on Pinterest. "Dinning" for "dining"and similar. Some even don't spell the name of the site correctly - "Pintrest".
  13. Haleth, on 01 Dec 2014 - 08:00 AM, said: "Jagwires" makes me stabby. There's a radio ad for a local Jaguar dealership and the female announcer says "Jagwire," which makes me stabby as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was watching an old episode of Mad Men, and they pronounced it "jagwire". The British character on the show pronounced it correctly, however.
  14. Deputy Deputy CoS: I Totally agree and have thought the exact same things for 30+ or however long ago it was when the Luke/Laura mess started.
  15. My favorite battle of all time was David Kinch v Bobby Flay. Battle Cabbage! Kinch whooped Flay's butt by 10 points. David Kinch is a genius chef.
