Bill calls Jennifer to say he’s going to miss the party because he has an emergency surgery so Jennifer sits down on the bed to have a long conversation with him.  Umm.  Isn’t there someone waiting somewhere for Bill?

Jackie's janky extensions!!!! NOOO! MAKE IT STOP! The hair was better in the talking heads right at shoulder length.  I don't understand why people do these looong (single-length) extensions when the natural hair is cut in a bob. Additionally, I thought extensions were left with pop culture icons circa 2003. Are we still doing these?

Melissa is acting brand new about this money owing rumor, and pretending it’s a low blow?  Might I remind her that this is exactly how she came on the show?  A big part of her S3 storyline was her nasally-voiced brother in law crying to everyone who would listen that Joe Giudice owes him “mun-ney” and I can’t seem to remember Mel shutting that down in an act of sister in law alliance.  If I believed in karma, I’d say it’s a stealth bitch.  Dolores was all over that shit and I am living for it.

What was especially beautiful about this takedown was that Jen just stated her case with hashtag facts, and Mel had no room to maneuver.  When Jackie is not there to prop her up and gang up on Jen, Melissa is completely outmanned and she knows it.  I would say in the instance of someone having third party info on you, Jen quite possibly may be “the wrong fucking girl.”  There was no denial by Melissa, just fixation on a number, in an attempt to divert from the fact that she couldn’t deny Joe owes this dude money and shady shit is going on in the House of Gorga.

If someone told me that there was a rumor that my husband owed thousands and thousands of dollars, I’d be like, “yeah, ok, did you hear about my debt?  Check me out, because I have deals in the works that are in the six and seven figures.”  But Melissa is reacting like the broke-ass bitch she is.  On the phone, Joe sounded like a guilty man.  His story sounded like a little boy who was caught with his hand in the cookie jar, with weak denials and hollow protestations.

Teresa is not interested in backing Joe on something that very well may be true, Melissa’s attempt at emotional blackmail notwithstanding.  Teresa’s husband went to jail for something similar, and the schadenfreude is real.  Now that their parents are not here anymore, Joe is not Teresa’s Achilles Heel, and Melissa played the wrong card.  She and her buddy Jackie cannot read a room.  For the rest of the episode, Melissa looked like the wind was taken out of her sails.  It sucks for this shit that you sowed to come back onto you.  Remember Melissa’s season three “we pay our bills” coupled with a “bitch what” shrug?  😁

Why does Jackie feel the need to wear all of her clothes so damned tight?  No one is interested in her tiny muffin top sitting atop a designer belt.  Has she been acquainted with a three-way mirror in any of her many homes yet?  Jackie is using her brother in a sordid way, as @ichbin pointed out.  I did like how her told her to get over it, much like Gia told Teresa last episode.  Getting over it would not fit Jackie’s narrative, so the only thing she will let go is what her brother told her.  I wonder why Jackie won’t produce her sister, now that she is filming through a phone.  They really should have taken out her solo scenes and taken her out of the opening last episode like they did to Aviva in RHNYC season six, when she refused to go to Montana.  Hopefully she’ll go the way of Aviva...

Two things no one on the cast were here for were Marge’s sex stories and Jackie.  What is Margaret’s book about—being a latchkey kid who slept her way to the middle, and then cheated with the slouchy contractor?  My only questions are whether it will be thinner than that book Joe Gorga “wrote” and if that’s even possible.  Maybe Margaret is writing a book about her vagina, as Gina Liano speculated about Lydia’s book in S1 of RH of Melbourne.

Jackie was not missed, and, to go all Marge, “by the way” that Lake George house was nicer and more inviting than Jackie’s tall, skinny, less than 2,000 square feet Westhampton Beach property from last season.

Jackie is getting more and more desperate.  I guess they didn’t teach how to apologize or analogize at Fordham Law (which, I’m sure is a lovely school, but for every rule there is an exception).  Nor did they teach how to promote yourself without appearing shameless.  When Jackie screeched at Melissa through the phone, my china shook.  She is hanging onto her sanity by a thread.  Everyone is reading the tea leaves, and, for all different and self-serving reasons, they’re all backing Teresa. I’m just going to do a running count, because it’s actually amazing what will happen if someone doesn’t stand up for themselves.  Number one was Jackie’s aforementioned brother.

Number two was Margaret at the coffee shop telling Jackie that she would have wanted to know about the cheating rumors.  Jackie, with the rat’s nest head of hair from hell (at least The Marge had the good sense to wear a hat in the Jersey humidity) reacted in such a mature way.  She reached over, took Margaret’s hand, said, “I can understand and sympathize, but I feel differently.”  Oh, wait, no, Jackie desperately reminded Margaret that Teresa orchestrated the “assault” of Danielle on Margaret, and sarcastically jeered “I know you’re smarter than that” whilst violently rolling her head back in contempt.  If Jackie would have paused for one moment, she could have looked into Margaret’s eyes and seen the dollar signs that had long ago replaced her pupils and realized that, at the end of the day, Margaret doesn’t give a shit what Teresa does, because Teresa keeps this show going, which allows Margaret to climb out of her bankruptcy.  I guess they don’t teach how to know your ally/know your opponent at Fordham Law.

Teresa is playing this game on a fairly high level, regardless of her IQ.  She told Melissa she would talk to Michelle, the real estate agent, so she literally brought it up and blinked and nodded, all the while letting Michelle get her side out there to bolster Jennifer’s.  That is cunning.  What has anyone else done this episode—hell, this season—to show that they are game for this show, other than Jennifer giving Melissa a mildly scathing dress-down when Melissa’s foot soldier was too far away and emotionally devastated to answer for Melissa?

Melissa in the Balmain shirt made me pause for thought about two things—can Melissa pronounce “Balmain”?  And how is wearing a shirt that simply says “Balmain” anything but basic bitch 101?  Wearing Balmain like that is not the same as wearing CHANEL, because Karl Lagerfeld, God rest his soul, made that his shtick, so I can low-key appreciate people who are in on it.  This is just wearing a designer’s name to wear a designer’s name because she is creatively bankrupt.  And this ho “owns” a clothing boutique that is named after one of the seven deadly sins.  Go figure.

The honeymoon is over in the Gorga marriage.  Joe seems pretty happy-go-lucky and able to find joy in pantomiming Evan muff-diving on another lady at Evan’s second merry unbirthday party to Evan and his wife’s face, but Melissa has a puss on (no pun intended).  Gee, who could have predicted that marriage would sour when the money officially ran dry? 🤔

Speaking of not knowing your opponent, did Jackie actually think Teresa was going to give a shit if she wasn’t invited to Evan’s second very merry un-birthday?  Jackie, girl, I know you watched the show.  When the twins invited Dina, but not Tre and Amber to their event in season six, Teresa fell onto Amber laughing at how obvious and boring their game was.  Last season, Margaret tried to play hardball against Teresa by not inviting her to drag queen bingo (gee, who would want to miss that?!?) and all Teresa did was say one swear word to a trembling Margaret in the Hamptons.

Jackie is still salty that she was not invited to the obstacle course last season, so she decided to enact her revenge by inviting everyone but Teresa to a restaurant that had corn hole.  Shot taken, shot missed.  Yet again.

Ok, so when it comes to JoeGo, and Jackie has to face him, the Gia thing was “SUCH an analogy.”  Interesting.  I guess they didn’t teach superlatives at FL either.  But what was great was that the stars fell from the eyes of two more cast members—Melissa and Joe Gorga—as cast members three and four who failed to back Jackie.  It is too bad Jackie felt “so low,” but why, if it is was not just an analogy, but “such” an analogy?  What happened to Teresa leaving Margaret’s house and Jackie saying to Margaret, “if she can’t see that was an analogy then I can’t help her” (paraphrasing, but not making up shit that wasn’t said, so sort of like Jackie, but not really).  😶 She needs to pick a lane.

I’m so glad to learn that Evan is a big guy in finance.  Is he like Big in Sex and the City where no one will explicitly say on the show what he does for some reason?  Or maybe there is a pretty good reason.  Maybe he’s not such a big deal on Wall Street after all.  Oh well, that prenup will keep Jackie warm at night I guess.

I will never not enjoy the irony that Joe is trying to stick up for his sister by telling Jackie and Evan that Teresa did this to “look out for” Jackie, all the while that Teresa feels no loyalty to Joe.  But that is not the full story—all of the men on this cast, as I documented at length last week, seem to have a vested interest in outing Evan, so Joe said that for himself, not Teresa IMO.  Good luck calling the dumb Joe Go “dumb” to his face, Evan.  Check out how that worked out for Jim Marchese.  Evan might remind himself that Joe Go is a pet of Andy’s, unlike Teresa, whom Andy hates.

Excuse me while I gag at Jackie trying to kiss Dolores’s ass by telling her she looks so skinny at the Evan event.  Jackie is taking this play right out of Melissa’s pathetic book in season three when Melissa was trying to cozy up to Jacqueline and Caroline to spite Teresa (history repeating itself) and Melissa told Jacqueline at the Posche Fashion Show that Jacq looked like “a stick!”  It was bullshit then and it’s bullshit now.  Neither Dolores nor Jacqueline were skinny sticks, though they have perfectly good figures, and no one is buying the ass kissing.

Aw, poor Jackie!  She is salty that Jennifer is cozying up to Teresa (though she phrased it in a way much more crass than that).  Gee Jackie, maybe if you hadn’t spent all of last season trying to punish Jennifer and trying to extract apology after apology from her with a pair of tweezers, she would have remained your friend and stuck up for you the way she did in season nine.  Jennifer is a good friend to have, but Jackie chose to alienate her because of her shortsighted self-righteousness and now it is coming back to firmly bite her in the ass.  And Jennifer went against Jackie re Evan-gate, which makes the count of people who are not backing Jackie in this episode alone at a whopping five people, which is 83% the size of the full-time cast.  Jackie, it might be time to start looking for a job.  You’re not cut out for this.  Just sayin.

Ok, so the gauntlet has been thrown:  Jackie has, once again, vowed on camera that she will never acknowledge Tre.  Let’s see how that turns out...

Those were ma’ deep thoughts.  😇

Jackie’s solo scenes are so boring. Do not care about her.

Is Michelle auditioning for the show? She seems very on.

Lol the flashback to Joe Gorga with his fake hair. Hilarious.

Joe Gorga and the thing with Michelle’s husband seems very sketchy. He prob does owe him money. I’m still laughing at ppl paying for growing with Gorga tho like who are these ppl?!

Evan being so mad is kind of shady. The fact that Jackie keeps having to have ppl say it’s a bs rumour is so pathetic. Lol that they had to re-do the bday. How lame.

Dolores and Frank are my faves lol.

If Evan is such a big shot then why is he on this trashy reality show lol. Jackie won’t shut the fuck up about it either. Annoying.

Jennifer isn’t so bad so far either.

"Jackie Goldschneider

@JGSchneid

She would’ve drown-ded me? She really has no compassionate! #rhonj

I grew up in a blue collar area where the majority of people living there were of Italian heritage, either immigrants or first generation American.  I am very familiar with hearing people using words like drowned, big-boneded, and saingwidge, etc.  It's a vernacular that I learned does not necessarily equate with knowledge or intelligence as I knew many people who spoke that way yet were very capable in many areas. I don't know why they do this.  I'm not a linguist or a sociologist, but I do know that this kind of speech is not uncommon among Italian-Americans I have known. I see Jackie's tweet as an insulting low blow to an ethnic group.  Would she do the same to someone part of a different minority group with its own particular language quirks?

If Jackie were truly as intelligent and classy as she thinks she is she would not stoop to this lame level of attack. It seems to me a trained lawyer should be able to argue for oneself based upon the facts of a situation and without needing to resort to petty insults.

Do I think Teresa is in the right?  Hell no!  But Jackie continues to dig an ever deeper hole for herself with the way she has chosen to deal with this situation

Simon & Schuster.  I wonder if this is through their self-publishing unit.

Can you just imagine if Giana Liano (in all her glamour) were brought in to interact with this bunch for an episode or two?

Yes her extensions are so, so bad. You’ve gotta blend them in Jackie!

But nope, nobody has stopped wearing them. It’s just that there are so many good, high quality ones out there that you often don’t realize when people are! For example I’m pretty sure almost all the other Jersey wives wear them—Theresa and Delores for sure do. Though theirs are most likely bonded or hand tied, whereas Jackie’s looked like clip ins.

That was funny but as someone who has had emergency surgery, you can wait for an available OR for hours depending on the availability but it's still called emergency and everyone has to stand by.

Someone once pointed out to me they may always point out Jackie's brother is  disabled to cut down on internet comments of him being "weird" and such which I do get but once again, as always, Jackie turns him into inspiration porn with what he's taught her and how protective she is of him. I maintain I would be pissed at my brother if he used my disabled ass like that. We're people, not life lessons for others. Just treat him like a brother not the 'disabled one', Jackie.  I don't buy Marge's JoeB was confused about the rumor, he heard Marge and her friends saying shit at some point, repeated it, and is getting away with it.

I believe Joe owes the guy money. I think Teresa knows her brother and her husband are shifty, so I'm not too mad that she had the 'you never know' response. Teresa holds a grudge and there's past footage of Joe and Melissa cackling about JoeGi owing people money with others, starting at the Christening, and of course Melissa constantly making them look like the honest "we pay our bills," digs. The Gorga's  and Giudice's are cut from the same cloth, as these girls would say. Teresa did address it with Michelle.

I've never understood the whole 'you can't have family photos' in pictures of a house for sale. Are people really that swayed? Seeing a photo means you don't think you could live there? It's just weird.

Jennifer saying Melissa was in competition with the swan was funny. I'm glad Melissa didn't shoot the messenger because Jenn approached it the right way, one on one, and kept to the facts of the conversation.

Frank and Delores continue to have good scenes. "I'm like a gay guy to you", lol. Bill is my favorite of the guys but Frank is probably second.

I am Italian-American, 2nd gen. My best friend is first gen and very smart. Growing up I heard saingwidge and those other words too from my friend, some of my family, her family, other Italians and some still say it and they're not stupid people. When everyone on the show dumped on Teresa for it early on, it was odd to me if they all grew up around Italians you definitely heard it. It's not the same as Melissa's s3 ditz period (I think she was trying to copy Teresa getting attention and laughs for her word mishaps) where she didn't know worth ethic from work ethnic and "save a wench like me" instead of "a wretch like me" or even Danielle not knowing the difference between woman and women.

Jackie must have a closet full of acid wash denim dresses she saved from the 80's and 90's, her fashion sense is painful to watch.  Also painful to watch is her inviting her brother to film, talk to him about her rumor issue the way she would tell her 9 year old, I found it less than sincere, that guy does not care about any of that crap.

I am tired of the hair petting all these women do with their extensions.

I love Delores's dresses, every last one of them, where does she find them?

I think money is owed, it always is.

How do those women constantly ignore Tre's inability to pronounce words?

Tre telling the real estate agent that she won't list her house with her until the issue with Joego is resolved, are we stupid, papers had to be signed before photography would have been scheduled, wheels were in motion.  The agent's jumpsuit was a costume from the Nutcracker, right?

This episode dragged on and it was boring as hell.

Jackie was super annoying. Ok, I get it. Your husband was unfairly maligned. Move on now. No one in the group except Teresa believes it. I don’t believe it because I don’t give a damn 😂 but if you keep protesting, other viewers might.

Margaret’s life was definitely very “out there” but I’ve always liked her. I preordered her book and I’m excited to read it. Jennifer sounded very judgey in that moment. Margaret is not the first and won’t be the last in that situation where men in power put pressure on young women. Marge’s story very well may help someone.

I agree with everyone saying Dolores is the best part of the show. Though, I don’t completely get her request for David to call and check on her daughter when Dolores herself is on the phone with David. It would have made more sense if she wanted him to stop by to check on the daughter, bur whatever. This is nitpicky of me anyway 😂.

Teresa will always Teresa lol. I get why she didn’t defend her brother because she probably thinks he owes the money 😂

Someone on Reddit said Michelle looked like an evil realtor from a Lifetime movie and I can’t unsee it 😂.

Boring episode. Let’s move away from this dumbass rumor.

I think Jackie realizes that keeping this "The Rumor is Ruining My Life" story line going will probably result in either she or Teresa not returning next season. I don't think she realizes that she stands no chance of winning this battle. Teresa may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, has an explosive temper, and basks in being the mean popular girl, but Jackie truly brings nothing to the table but whining.

Why does Evan need a do-over party? Because his party was ruined by Teresa? They didn't even know about the rumor until after the party was over. If you want to ruin a party, invite Jen Shah (RHSLC) and tell her someone's been talking about her just wait.

Of course, constantly talking about the rumor that allegedly ruined the first party, is also a good way to ruin a party.

I’m still wondering why Marge had her assistant Lexi there, but it was nice of her to go out and get breakfast for everyone without being asked to. Not that I think the ladies liked what they got. I don’t recall hearing a thank you. They used to go out to fancy restaurants for their dinners when traveling. Now we see private chefs. I get it. Covid. They still dress up for dinner. In that setting I’d prefer a casual dress, but then I’d lose the tax deduction wearing those designer duds on my taxes.

I am still bothered by Jennifer's reaction to Marge having sex with her boss when she was 22.  What Marge was ultimately describing was a climate of sexual harassment.   Her older male boss who was in a position of power and influence in an industry that the 22 year old Marge had wanted to be in since childhood asked her to sleep with him, and she did because it was awkward and uncomfortable and a different time.  Translation:  she felt she had no choice.

Then Jennifer says "omg you keep that stuff private!!!"  No honey, you don't, especially if you don't want to.  You scream about that shit from the rooftops so that the 16 year old working in the ice cream shop this summer to save money for college because her family can't afford to send her doesn't feel like she has to sleep with her 21 year old boss or risk losing her job.  That is why these conversations are so important.

Joe and Melissa are boring and predictable.

Who is the new cast member, the realtor or Marge's assistant with the half british, half jersey accent?

I agree with you 100% regarding the Marge/Jennifer situation. Jackie even called Jennifer irresponsible for her comments on Twitter last night.

I think Michelle is actually a “friend of” and I think Marge is just trying to set up Lexi for more appearances so Lexi can get that check.

If that is the case about Michelle, I'm not going to be happy - already not a fan of hers.

And, you may be right with regard to Lexi - that's one way for Margaret to "pay" her without actually having to write a check!  😉

I hate when the shows bring in these random women for the housewives to play off of.  It usually never works.  The only "friend of" who actually makes it work and should be full time is Marlo from RHOA, but I guess with her past, it may never happen.

Another snooze of an episode. Tre's neon bathing suit was the most memorable thing about the last hour.

Mel is #accidentalRenaissance on that swan and I laughed when Jen pointed it out.

Jen handled that convo more maturely than anything else she's ever done on the show. The initial reception of the info was on camera, so there was no need for skittishness. Stick to facts, relay it alone; let Mel deal with the rest.

Tre is never letting go of the "We pay our bills" nonsense Mel spouted a decade ago, and I always suspected JoeGo was just as guilty as Juicy, so I'm not shocked at all she isn't rushing to their defense. Her parents are gone, her marriage is over - there is no one left to protect. She looks like she gives zero fucks. She needs to sell the mansion and she doesn't care who gets it done.

I think you're correct and, quite frankly, given the trainwreck this OC season was, I don't think Bravo is chomping at the bit to cut more OGs and rest the franchise on other folks. Who's going to carry NJ? Dolores? Marge? No way. And Dina is never coming back - she was boring when she returned in season 6, even though I still liked her. People were over Caroline several years ago - she had her own spinoff with the kids after she left RHNJ and it was middling, at best. She can't carry the show alone, and even if Jac come back with her? I'm not interested in watching them go to dinner with Jackie to trash Tre. Just like I had no time for this year's Vicki/Tamra bashing on OC.

Spoiler

Wasn't Bravo recently filming new scenes with Tre and her new boyfriend? I would assume that will be a major storyline and one Bravo wants to cash in on.

She's a controversial figure, but I don't see Bravo looking to dump Tre for... Jackie? Who, even filled with a truckload of righteous indignation, couldn't muster the backbone to go to Lake George surrounded by allies? Puh-leez.

Jackie redid the birthday party because a producer reminded her she'd missed valuable camera time, and the only way anyone would film such a sad non-event would be to make it something the Ho-wives would attend to - YET AGAIN - discuss the rumor she so desperately wants put to bed! Are we never going to talk about the fact that Joe Benigno basically cosigned its validity?? Ok then.

Also, I'm the least PC person going (everyone could use thicker skin these days, IMO), but I really would LOVE to see the response if Jackie took to Twitter to make fun of the poor English / vocabulary of any other second-generation American with English as their second language....

I had to laugh at the beginning when they showed Dolores sitting on her bed, talking to David, with the big star wall hanging positioned perfectly behind her head like the Statue of Liberty's crown.  Was that deliberate?

And while the realtor paperwork may well have been signed before filming, I have to give credit where credit is due: I thought Theresa's approach to the realtor was actually quite diplomatic.  She wasn't hostile, she wasn't accusatory, and her explanation that (paraphrasing) the realtor's husband and Joe ironing things out would make Theresa more comfortable listing her house with her actually made sense to me.

This is one trend that I wish would bite it - I am so sick of everyone's hair extensions. Almost no human on the planet has that kind of mermaid hair. I liked Mel's blonde lob, Marge's pigtails, and Tre's naturally curly hair from season 1. They all look, as Cher Horowitz would say, like full-on Monets. Beneath that security blanket on their heads is a lot of filler, Botox, veins, and wrinkles. Jackie also looks tons better with the chic shoulder-length cut she has in her talking heads.

These ridiculous extensions, so popular in the land of Housewives, make the wearer look like they are desperate to hang on to youth.

This is one trend that I wish would bite it - I am so sick of everyone's hair extensions. Almost no human on the planet has that kind of mermaid hair. D’Andra, from Dallas, looked amazing on WWHL with her natural dark, shorter sleek hair. So much better than the bleached, waist length extensions.

Um, Jennifer?  Teresa is malicious as hell.  I never met her and I know that.

Tre is the very definition of vicious. I would call her a pit bull, but I happen to know they are a loyal, loving breed. Tre demands absolute loyalty, but gives none in return.

And Margaret, it was absolutely pre-meditated to loudly bray the rumor about the birthday boy at his own party.

I despise the way most kowtow to Teresa.  Perhaps they remember when Tre went mad ape and hulk threw Andy into his chair.

If Evan’s name and reputation are so important, why sign up for a reality TV show called Real Housewives?  I know Jackie needs a story line, but I am done hearing about the cheating rumor.

I guess the same could be said about anyone who signs up for these shows - doctors, surgeons, high scale realtor, college students, restaurateurs, etc.

"Jackie Goldschneider

It would be an insulting low blow to an ethnic group if Jackie has your experience, but I don’t think she does. Joe doesn’t talk as ignorantly as his sister, and neither does Dolores. I have friends who grew up in exclusively non-English speaking homes:  Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Korean, Serbian, Egyptian. None of them mangle the English language like Teresa - even those who came to the US as older children, or never lived in an English speaking country.

I do think a shorter style can look great. For example, I love Whitney’s sleek bob  on Salt Lake.  Dorinda’s shorter ‘do looked great when she styled it right.

At the same time, as long as people care for their extensions well and style them to blend in with their real hair—UNLIKE Jackie—I have no problem with women wearing them if it makes them feel better or more confident. I do concur that the suuuper long ones (like Tre wears) can look ridiculous on most people— but all people, not just on women 40+.

But overall I’m just not into policing what women “should” and “should not” be wearing—on their heads, faces, bodies, etc—simply based on one’s biological age. There are many other factors to consider.
