Anyways, this is very welcome news to me! Gina has really grown since that awkward office visit in S12. Improved as a teammate and is an excellent dancer.

Would love that but unfortunately many of them aren't in the position to do that. They still need "the power of the star" to support them in their other career pursuits especially if the career is in dance world or - even just in the south. I think many of them have a lot to say but the pros of being a yes ma'am far outweigh the cons - sadly/

Oh yeah - burn bridges with Kelli and you can just forget that job reference, business referral, etc.  We've all seen how vindictive she is on the show.  Maybe we can hope for the girls from out of town - another Milan, Bridget or Hannah.

IMO, I don't see either Tess or Maddie retiring until Kelly starts dropping hints, but I think Kelly is itching to promote the current 2nd and 3rd years to more prominent positions so I don't see Tess or Maddie staying another year. 

I think Rachel A, Savannah, Kristen (based on CMT's edit and her bf's new job), Brianna, Alanna, Jalyn will also retire.

 Ones who could go either way: Taylor J, Madeleine, Erin, Cianna (I think she has a sister who's on a college dance team and close to graduating, so she may stay another year so they can try to be on the team together), Lexie (she's been a group leader but I don't see her advancing any further in the triangle or making pro bowl), Lisa (it would only be her 3rd year but I see her getting into PT school and leaving with very little notice).

Tbh I hope everyone I've listed so far retires. Besides Lexie, Tess, and Maddie, Rachel A, and Erin none of them are on SG or leadership, or very high up in the triangle, and I don't really see any of them getting promoted to a better position in the team. 

Defintiely staying: Gina, Rachel W, Caroline, Ashlee, Amber, Daphne,  Kelcey, Chandi,  Kat, Victoria, Amanda, current rookies

          I know Ashlee isn't one of the most technical/trained dancers, but given that she's a 2nd leader and SG this year, I think she's in contention. I think she's one of the most photogenic dancers they currently have on the team (which is saying a lot) and she made the cover of the Star swimsuit issue so we know TPTB like her look. Also, I think Rachel W and Caroline look too similar to share point.

Alanna appears to be all super cozy with Dani, Ellie and Cassie (who I guess will try out again). She "thanked God for bringing these three into my life" in her most recent post. I bet she at least stays one more year. 

 

When do we start hearing about retirement plans?

And thats you being nice. If shes on the roof she can cling on to the roof and try to survive if you then drive at a high speed lol. I'd put her under the car and have her try cling on that way, whilst driving away .... lol

I'm actually onboard with the AAA triangle game. Amanda, Ashlee, and  Amber are the 3 I actually wouldn't mind seeing up there together. You can also swap out Amber for Gina. We have already seen Amanda and Gina dance together side by side in that DCC in motion video. They are both amazing! It was also nice seeing Ashlee getting a bit of dance screen time last episode. Ashlee is not the most technical, but definitely one of the most well rounded and entertaining dancers on the team. And she's proof that Maddie isn't the only hip hop dancer on the team, no matter how hard MTT tries to convince us. But sadly AAA will never happen, because Victoria has been groomed from birth to be up there. As soon as I saw her comeback storyline forming with that SG spot, I knew.  She will be a leader next year, and then point the following year. 

 I actually think Alora-Rose's Ultra Angel background is actually really cool myself. Seems like a freaking dream job if you are a good dancer, likes to wear sexy/funky outfits, and loves to travel the whole damn world. I'd do it for sure..I just can't dance 😂 I've brought up her Ultra Angel dance background with pictures in the past because the show( Kelli and Judy) refuses to acknowledge it... nor will they. EVER. Guess it's not as respectable as being a Rockette for this type of show.

And the fact that Kelli love love LOVES to compare their kicks to Rockettes kicks because she also (in her eyes) knows that if they can do the Rockettes kick then the girl can kick. Esp Judy whose eyes I see light up (a little) when she said she was a Rockette because Judy is just like "right so she can kick and the difference is she just got to adjust it to our kick length and that can be taught and adjusted" over a girl who can't kick and Judy has to be "forced" to teach her to kick from the start because of Kelli and Charlotte etc. Which is why Judy has "shrunk" into herself and basically allowed those two to practically "walk all over and bully her" and as shes near to retirement age you can see she just waiting till she retires and then bow out gracefully.

I don't understand the dislike with Lily. She's beautiful and when I saw her dancing in one of the videos that Victoria posted on insta awhile back ago, I thought she danced and looked great.

I agree.  I don't think a job interview is an appropriate place to make a socio-political statement, regardless of the workplace.  I also don't think cheerleading is where it counts.  Historically NFL cheerleaders weren't/aren't even compensated appropriately, so why should we expect that any given organization should care to hear their "voices"?  We know that for a fact, they know that for a fact, and still these women vie for a spot on the team.  That's on them.  If Kristin cares that much, she can move on to do bigger and better things and engage in activities that will help make a difference.  Hannah too. 

If anyone truly cares, don't watch the show and let it live rent-free in your head.  Step away from your keyboard and go do something out in the world.  Hit them where it hurts = ratings and social media.

The mattering of black and brown lives is not controversial.  All black and brown lives matter, and that mattering of black and brown lives is not the same as "Black Lives Matter."  The tenets of the Black Lives Matter movement are controversial from a socio-political standpoint, and the clenched fist has become a symbol of the organization.  I don't feel it was the appropriate place for Kristin to demonstrate this symbolism however I don't agree with the producers and editors making an ass out of her the way they did. 

If the producers wanted to use the content, they should have shown it without the inaccurate edit and they should have used it to showcase her talent.  Not mock her.  It was an incomprehensible flex on their part (really, what was their purpose? we don't know) and it was a discredit to Kristin's abilities as a dancer.

This show has long suffered from terrible editing.  I think the bottom line is they don't have the proper resources to put together a better program.  They have the content, but the editors (in my best Cassie Trammell drone voice) suck.  I think we tend to forget this is Country Music Television and they don't have the budgets of the other networks we're used to watching.

They'd never show it but they should only to reveal Judy's true colors though I'd hate it to be at Lily's expense so best not to show it. Lily seems like a very genuine young lady who wanted so bad to be on the team. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder bc some would say one daughter of a legacy is not very attractive inside or out & for once i'm not referring to Veruca, though she could desperately use braces, some toned down hair color & a new lipstick shade that color she wears went out in the 80's...

True! What bothers me, and so I've stopped, is all the comments on social media. They are like Kelli parrots. They buy the narrative hook line and sinker. They never question if reality could possibly be more than the mashed together  slow mo 10 second glimpses.

Kitty called Tara unattractive too, and I remember thinking that that was cruel (and untrue). And we can't forget Chandler and her "grandma" face. I can understand them talking about a girl's weight on camera (maintaining a certain figure is part of the job), but I feel like talking about looks is out of bounds.

Something about them—who both made the squad when it was comparatively a joke, literally 100x easier and didn't require a lifetime of dance—judging these women so harshly, scolding them for being over a size 2, and seemingly loving to knock beautiful, talented women, down a peg at every turn...it's just not sitting right with me anymore. I've only been watching this show for a year so I guess it's just not really sinking in until now, but I'm increasingly over it...it's just too much. I used to see some humanity in them, like when Kelli cried at Alexandra s9's cut, but now they just seem so nasty. And this is just my impression from what they show...I can't even imagine what they're like offscreen.

I mean, they do worship at Kitty's hellish altar after all

I think she’s not only pretty but that she’s distinctive. I can usually identify her in the sea of blondes.

The judges seem to interpret humility as insecurity, and they hate insecurity. I do wonder if their views on Lily, including in her looks, would have been different if she was more assertive.

I’m not watching this year because watching them torture her (or anyone really) makes me extremely uncomfortable. Whether it’s editing or increased stress or different priorities I’m also getting the sense from the clips I have seen that the team vibe is fractured/toxic. This show just doesn’t look fun to me anymore, which is too bad because the new girls seem talented and engaging.

I think Lily is pretty by most standards - she’s never been one with the question mark by some, like Maddie, Marissa, etc. I think they’ve hoped makeovers would glam up some more than others (Chandler stands out to me) bit shoot, even some of the prettiest candidates can take bad pics (Meredith) or lack excitement in their eyes (Rachel W.)

Lily is solid IMO, tho sometimes her hair can look a little dry. Probably thanks to whatever fresh hell was done to her during makeovers. Anyhoot. 
 

For what it’s worth, Kristin’s fist in the air made me think of Hamilton, not BLM, even if echoing BLM was her intent. Thank you Disney+ for enabling that to play on repeat this year at my house 😂

I cannot believe in 2020 (21), Judy or Kelli would think it’s okay to comment out loud about someone’s look. I understand weight and all that for the uniform but their god given features should not be a discussion...especially when the girl already made the team and she was pretty enough previously. Lily sometimes has a wide smile, I don’t hate it, but if I were her boss, I wouldn’t vocalize that...seems like an HR nightmare. 
 

Also, I know the times have changed, but Judy was known for her freaking pigtails. You aren’t the definition of perfection. All of these woman are tiny little things even if on weight warning. I couldn’t dream of being that small, even before having four kids but I think it’s extra cruel for Kelli or Kitty to comment on looks when they aren’t stunners.

Watching Brennan’s solo I noticed the TVs on the side of the stage. There was a 1-2 second delay as to what was actually happening on stage Vs what was shown on the screen. If the judges on video were watching the video feed it’s entirely plausible that Brennan was out of time with the music they were hearing - which is the feedback Charlotte supposedly gave about Kristins solo.  Which makes charlottes feedback about Kristin even more annoying cos it likely would have been the same delay for most, if not all performances.

Guys, I liked Cianna last year, but she got booted off show group, and looks to be struggling keeping the unrealistic DCC shape. I want her to hula off into the sunset before she becomes their next hatchet job.

Kelli can go in the van with the Ozark 4 and they can all infect each other. But tying her to the roof like a Griswald granny has some appeal too. 😂

Sheesh... she may not have been the most powerful cheerleader, but she really does look great on stage. My heart still hurts for her.
