That is where, IMO, Kelli is stupid. All of we "quiet gals" get to a breaking point and then look out. Hannah and Brennan are intelligent and articulate and if mistreated or mishandled have a strength that Kelli did not take into account when using them as toys in her game. I truly believe she thought they would go quietly, simply grateful to have been "allowed" to be part of the DCC.

On a personal note, I am pleased to say that as I grew up, I found my voice and discovered how I could use that voice to speak up for those who were bullied or underestimated. Teaching was a great career for doing that. 

I know where ever Hannah and Brennan go (and most likely Lily and Meredith as well), they will show that they should not be underestimated and are indeed women of great strength of character.

Sure, there has been some nepotism ... that's life. It sucks but it's the way it is - I feel VK had a strong-ish second season, she lost a lot of weight and her dancing was generally pretty good. She's obnoxious and spoilt but she doesn't ruin the whole team. She definitely needs to have a makeup consultation and be introduced to a color other than PINK. I swear her whole face is painted with the same shade of pink. I don't think VK being on the team means that Kelli is totally bad at her job. 

These veteran cuts are a shame but Lily and Meredith were weaker and the others may have been cut at finals had there been a normal audition process. I find Hannah confusing in all honesty and it does seem like she was cut for objecting to the covid precautions -she's correct to do that but it must have been a stressful situation for management to deal with and the culture is so "yes ma'am" I can't see it going down well. 

I guess my only fear is that some of the commenting on social media about Kat and Victoria is leaning into cyber bullying... they didn't fire those four veterans but some of the comments direct anger at them and it must be pretty disheartening.

I'm personally happy about the diversity on the squad - I hope they have more diverse choreographers and guest talent in the future too. It's good progress that they have a hair specialist as some of the hair consultations for the black girls was pretty embarrassing in the past! 

 

Totally agree with this. Especially about VK. Yes she has her own issues (the favoritism, her makeup and hair that makes her look like she's 20 years older, her immature attitude, and the fact that her cameo photo was badly edited, but that's not her problem) but she's good enough to be on the team. Not Showgroup great, at least not yet, but good enough to be at the middle tier of the squad. 

But seriously though, what the f what Kelli thinking when she approved this photo?

You can see the tape where the girls are supposed to stand for the photo. You can also see how the actual background used in the set ends and how they tried to add some white color so that it blends in the background, but they failed miserably. It's just a bad editing job. And this photo is used on the DCC website. It's just not professional. I mean let's compare it to Amanda's cameo photo. It looks polished, no tape on the floor and the background blends in. It also looks brighter. BTW this photo also comes from the DCC website. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. VK's cameo photo looks unfinished.

Omg that makes so much sense 🤦‍♀️ tbh so many people talk about people's appearances (particularly VK) on here that I wasn't even looking at the background. I completely agree that is a seriously unprofessional cameo. Guess it's a good thing they'll be switching them up in the near future.

Speaking of cameos from this year, does anyone else notice problems with the lighting used between the photos?

 

This is Amber's cameo - it makes the uniform look bright.

 

Now you have someone's like Kristin's cameo - it makes the uniform look darker.

Am I the only one seeing this? It looks unorganised and unusual to have such different lighting for some of the cameos.

I can see it too. It could be the lighting but also potentially just post production with the brightness and bringing out either warm vs cool tones

I don't know how to put the pictures in here. But I just noticed Caroline, Amber, Briana, Maddie, Erin, Heather, Lexie and Rachel W pictures also have the mark tape... somone's not getting hired to edit again.

As the horrible person I am, I was hoping desperately for a TC, disregarding the fact that it could jeopardize the health of all participants, and I was very happy when it took place. I feel bad that looking at the names of the new DCC 2020-2021 feels so good. There are some great new girls on there and I must give it to Kelli: the team is definitely more glamorous! The beauty bar has been raised (not counting Daphne, who's looks are as exciting as her blog during TC) and I am all for it! Thinking about it, Amy's retirement automatically raised the beauty bar so the beauty bar is even higher!

The consensus around these parts is that there is no point to have a point and that’s why TPTB have not communicated who is the point at this point 😁. It is not needed this season, since the girls will not be on the field but on those weird platforms.

I do think that on the show we will get to hear who is point though.

An organization is only as strong as its individuals.  Guidelines/rules that are set in place to protect the organization must be followed to ensure the integrity and image of the organization and therefore its individuals. Several instances of compromised integrity from within that organization have come to light. Although the DCC have social media class and lectured in holding the organization in the best possible manner, individuals have broken this commitment to the organization. Rumors are spread outward from within. E.g., telling your friend negative information about your organization and having them spread it on social media is just as damaging. 

Having said that, I am happy Hannah gave us some insight of her being cut after she was released from the organization. I am not referring to her at all. But, she took a stance and now she will move on and deal with the consequences. Sometimes life isn’t fair. 

It is the information being leaked that doesn’t need to be. Inquiring minds always want to know and we benefit from these breaches. In the vein of younger competition coming in and replacing an older DCC, it could be argued that the Brennan cut may be a little ageist - oldest DCC, more mature DCC - but you see her take the high road and be grateful. She is without a doubt the most classy woman I’ve seen on MTT.

I was thinking of the 2013 squad as the most diverse squad of the MTT era until now (and I'm still a bit confused about who is on the new team). That team had Mia, Jackie, Veronica, Jacie, Jenna, Jasmine, Carissa, Jessica, Jessica and Kim. 

I will say that Kelli and Judy have never had issues with featuring the WOC; the main issue has been making the team in the first place, especially in more recent years. Nicole, Ally, Mia, Jackie, Jacie, Jenna, Cersten, and Jessica were all either group leaders and/or had prominent spots in the formation.

I think two things hurt Gina here - she’s gotten very, very lean and can photograph a bit stringy. Maddie, Kashara and Jenn all had a fuller figure. To the point of flirting with weight warnings, but still. Second is that Lexie comes across as more approachable. She’s a Barbie blonde, but has been in front of the public for years now with the DCC and Mavs and balances it well. She very well might be a mean girl behind the scenes, but it doesn’t show on camera or appearances from what I’ve heard. 
 

Gina had to come from behind on this aspect and work through her reputation the first year. She figured out the culture fast enough, but it still hits. Plus she’s recovering from an injury. And while I think Gina is perfectly attractive, Lexie has more mass appeal in that particular role. I also wish Gina would stop Facetuning the mess out of every single picture to where she doesn’t look like herself. 
 

So for me, Gina for triangle for sure.  She’s an amazing, well rounded dancer.  But I won’t be surprised if Lexie has point with Maddie. I would have preferred that to Amy as well. Bless her heart. 
 

And for what it’s worth...there’s no way they haven’t practiced Thunder and chosen points. The field decisions came late, they’ll still probably have some show group appearances, it’s always possible to have some special taped whatever at The Star, etc. Plus we’ve seen them practice kick line. That’s only done with Thunder.

Yes, I couldn't watch the whole thing myself.  I was cringing lol  I just felt like they are both so immature.  They made that video a month ago apparently.  Right before TC!

The more I see of Marissa, the more I cannot stand her.  I've never been a pageant girl fan and she perfectly epitomizes why.  At least Rachel W. comes across humble and not self serving. 

I truly feel for the girls on the squad.  Marissa's posts come across completely fake and if she's already raised "character concerns", one can only assume "mean girl attitude" is right behind. 

I get no sweetheart vibe from this one.  I never will.

She annoyed a lot of girls at training camp by constantly bragging about her pageant wins and by being a huge suck-up to VK and Lisa. 
 

But given the social media campaign her patents undertook to get her on the team, I can’t help but feel a little sorry for her. They clearly aren’t very good parents and have likely fostered this entitled attitude.

Constantly?!? If I was her, and I was in a room with Savannah, Amanda, Jada, Jessica, Tess, Kristin to name a few, I would have mentioned it once and I would have shut up about it. If I had seen Kat and Miss Wyatt I would not have said a word about my pageant wins.

I vote for hiring everyone new, including K&J's positions.  I understand that having experienced leadership can be an asset, but sometimes that experience can keep the team from moving forward and results in some very questionable decisions. Also, it makes them look desperate when they try to pick more WOC for the team when their past decisions are so visible.  #burnitdown

To get off of the health subject for a minute...the money issue is something I have NEVER understood.  The Cowboys organization pays hundreds of thousand dollars up to many millions of dollars to players, coaches, and other personnel, yet fight in court to pay the cheerleaders MINIMUM HOURLY wages.  Having watched the show from the beginning, I honestly was amazed at the strict criteria the ladies had to meet to be a DCC.  I learned not only are they judged for their dancing, but also for body type, how pretty they are, for great hair, how well spoken they are at events, how well they can speak on camera or radio, how they walk on a fashion runway (just kidding), how fast they can run a mile plus the number of sit-ups they can do (kidding again), how they hold a fork, spoon, and knife while eating French onion soup (more kidding) and how well they would be as an ambassador in general for the Cowboys organization.  It is well known that the DCC is the standard by which all of the other football organizations emulate.  Amazing.  If all of this is required (and it is) then why do the Cowboys penny-pinch the pay of the cheerleaders??  Why did it take a great cheerleader, Erica Wilkins, to take them to court for a few extra bucks??  Just never understood this, and still don't.
