There are photos that seem to indicate they got married in Nigeria.  Not sure whether he ever made it to the USA.

Except now, I'm 49 and where AARP left off, Scientology picked up.  I swear, I can change my address at the post office TODAY and tomorrow's mailbox (new address!) will have at least 4 pieces of Scieno mail in it.  

Maybe if Usman came over here, we could get him over to Ashley and Jay's, and Usman could start his career performing in the tattoo shop Jay works in.  There isn't much else that happens there.  It's next to a vape shop and about a mile down the road from a hookah bar.  But def leave BGL in York.  I don't want to run into her.

This shed light on to this relationship, and boy it’s wild. He alleged that when he tried to end things, she said she would commit suicide by hanging herself. (That starts around 32 minutes.) He actually didn’t want to come to the States. It was what she wanted. He never loved her and only said it because she was saying it for six months and would cry when it wasn’t reciprocated. He never thought they would meet in person. He absolutely wants kids and intends on taking on another wife to have a family with because he said she can’t have any more kids. He can have up to four wives. It was interesting. It’s such a stark contrast to get posts about her husband this and that. Meanwhile, he’s over it.

It was so strange when he spoke to his family—in a language Lisa couldn’t understand—he said she loved him, wanted to marry him, etc. I was like so it’s not “we” want to get married because “we” are in love or love each other?

Listen, peeps, I've spent a good deal of time working in Nigeria and there are two things I know with absolute certainty:

1. Every Nigerian dreams of coming to the USA. I don't know why, because it isn't anything like living there, and the cultural customs are completely different. That said, I don't know one Nigerian I've worked with or met, who would turn down a ticket and a green card. He is full of shit. He's ONLY doing this to get a move here and get a green card. Period. End of story.

I know someone who just went through the interview process for this show (they didn't make it) and some of the questions were: Is anyone against your relationship? Are you hiding a big secret from your partner? Is there anything shocking about your relationship? 

I'm starting to think the whole raw deal was just made up for the show. Young Nigerian/50 year old American woman has already been done. Lisa needed to set herself apart in the interview.

Television.    People from the poorer parts of the world see the US and Canada and Europe on television, unrealistic television like Friends where the could afford big apartments in New York while mostly having crappy jobs.   Then they arrive and find out the grass isn’t greener, especially for an immigrant with an accent and dark skin.  Usman’s mom is right to be worried.
