Kristen Taekman: At Least She's Pretty

It's true he's not even that wealthy. They rent! I mean if you're gonna marry an ugly old man and you're a model at least get a rich one.

I wonder what will happen to her friendship with heather

Well, actually he's 46, so he's not old.  He's middle-aged & only about 8 years older than Kristen.  Not a huge age difference.  And they've been together over 10 years, so when she met him he was young.  Let's not go into OC Meghan territory & call middle-aged people "old".  Joshie is not so much older than me, so I don't much appreciate it.

He's only 46? I thought he was well into his 50's. He looks very rough for his age.

I can't believe he's playing this off as a joke. Lamest excuse yet.

Hate to say this, but I know exactly how Satan Andy thinks.  This awful story has just gotten Kristen another season, when she would have most certainly been given the boot.  Yup, I can see Satan Andy totally loving this story & the op to skewer both Joshie-poo & Kristen, and use them for yet another of his truly nasty storylines.

I mean really, anyone surprised Josh the dickhead would be a regular user of Ashley Madison?  C'mon.  Do I feel sorry for Kristen?  Nah, not me.  She knows full well he's a dickhead, but she either ignores or accepts it.  Whatevs.

How much you wanna bet he's also throwing himself at Heather to stay on? You know he's dyyyyinnnng to exploit the potential drama between Heather and Kristen since Heather was always supposedly closer to Josh than Kristen.

And his hair transplant didn't make him any better-looking, that's for sure.

He really needs to get himself fixed.  The man sells some kind of natural energy drink and to me he looks old and tired.  Of course, he may just be burnt out from all the cheating.

Sucks for Kristen.

Just imagine if this news had been made public earlier.  I think we would be watching a whole other reunion this season.  At the very least Kirsten would probably have been given a closer seat to Andy.

Well, it seems that Josh has admitted to joining AM and claims he did it with a "group of friends"! LOL

Oh my God. My ex used the same excuse- when I was in COLLEGE! For an actual adult to use this excuse is transparent and ridiculous. You don't spend hundreds of dollars on a joke idiot. Next he'll claim it was just to look at pictures. Porn is free idiot.

Wow. I actually feel really sad about this. I suppose because I just watched last year's reunion with Kristen crying, "Sometimes I feel like he doesn't love me." It's just sad. Off topic/ I'm grossed out by all the recent cheating stories. This hack couldn't have happened to a better site./

The only way I'll watch next season is if its about Kristen divorcing his pathetic ass and becoming a successful nail polish company mogul (lol). I hope Heather unleashes a few "motherfuckers" at him.

When I saw a headline that a RHONY husband was linked to the Ashley Madison leak, my first thought was the obvious - Mario. I didn't think of Josh. I'm not as shocked as if it would have been Jonathan (Heather's husband), but I'm still pretty surprised. I thought he was just a workaholic with low emotional intelligence. It would be interesting to see how this played out with Heather, since she's friends with both of them and has defended Josh's lack of availability to Kristen ("he's an entrepreneur and the hours are crazy").

Run, Kristen! You can do so much better.

This story makes me so sad and I'm not trying to quote to come down on you Deputy Deputy CoS (you're my boo) -- the thing I hate about the hack is that it puts people like Kristen in a position they themselves do NOT deserve to be in, where we can now sit and decide she's brave for leaving, lame for staying or whatever.  She has ALWAYS been too good for him but she loves him.  We will all meet at least one couple where we know in our hearts that person is way too damned great for their partner, but there's not a damned thing we can do about it.  She loves him, I'm sure he courted her, I'm sure he was dynamic to her, he is older than she -- I have a friend who modeled and her husband is a narcissist and SHE describes him that way, and she will love him forever.  She feels that spark for him after more than a decade, and I wouldn't be surprised if Kristen is the same way.

He's a liar - for sure his fedora and what I assume to be an off-screen douchetastic collection of porkpie hats are woven of pure lies as Mozelle wrote.  The timeline does suggest Kristen was pregnant with Kingsley and recovering from delivery while this started up.  For sure he was at least hunting for another woman while she was getting Early Intervention for Kingsley, and managing her toddler.  But, damn.  I feel like Kristen has gotten *SO* much of a bum rap on the show and by so much of the viewership (I mean the odious and self-satisfied NY Mag viewership - a dumber, think-we're-smart online group is harder to find) amd now how she handles this will be held against her too by people who think she deserves to get crapped on by walking piles of merde like Sonja and Ramona.

Kristen never, ever bragged up her marriage or used it to suggest that single Housewives were inferior and never knew the love of a [triumphantly and repeatedly and publicly unfaithful] husband.  Ramona did.  I'm GLAD Ramona got her marriage handed to her on a platter of tabloid humiliation and I truly do not care what anyone thinks about me for feeling that way.

I couldn't agree with more. I am ashamed I squarely placed myself in the second bold point you made. My desire to see her kick him to the curb took over the more rational side that knows that life is not black and white.

She should have left him a long time ago for the way he talks to her alone, and his face. But she stays and starts a family with him ; She must really really love him. I can't imagine how hurt and humiliated she is right now, or how confusing the next few months are going to be for her. She also has to keep a leash on her emotions because of the kids.

With regards to Heather defending Josh spending time on his business, I thought it was bullshit. The conversation't about late nights or phone calls during dinner, it was about Josh giving Kristen one week to relocate from the West Coast with two little kids. How would Heather feel if Johnattan sprung that nonsense of her. She won't Holla that's for sure.

I feel like my assumption that he was a good 20 years older than her was reasonable.

I think Heather does work crazy hours, and she is genuinely just working so she related to that being a stress on a marriage. But I am curious to see how she reacts tot his, if she does at all. She won't be on the show so I guess we won't get to see it.

Came right here as soon as I read the headline this morning.

I feel bad for her. I really do. Shaking my head. I hope she is renewed for the RHofNYC show next season. I want her to have an income and leave his ass in energy drink debt.

I hated it when he said - on camera - her five dinners were shitty. I just bet he has pattern of belittling her, and probably does it even even more so in private. Hated the way he spoke to her  - on camera - last season. I found him denigrating, insensitive, condescending, trying to talk rings around her (another way of bullshitting her to confuse her). That belittling is indicative of a controlling spouse. And that crap about not showing up at Kingsley's therapy with a poor excuse and no genuine contrition or understanding ? Just awful and it probably wasn't the first time.

I will also bet he settled in to enjoying Kristen's second season gig as a Housewife and all the $ and perks and TV exposure time.

Well say bye bye, assHAT.

For once I think Brandi could be useful considering Eddie cheated on her while she was pregnant with her second child. Jeez, with Charlie Sheen's contacts from the super secret celebrity hooker hookup network tattling, and Ashley Madison being hacked, where are men supposed to go to fuck around?

This gives an entirely different angle to Josh's defensiveness regarding his TOTES MEGA IMPORTANT last minute hours-spanning business meetings during which it is simply impossible for him to text. Also, he needs to tell the truth or adopt the Michael Mancini (Melrose Place reference, #sorrynotsorry) deny, deny, deny method. Stick to some mole from the eboost team using Josh's personal information and hiding it. "It was fraud, oops no it was a joke with friends. I told it 62 times." Not fooling anyone.

I do feel for Kristen. I remember when Bethenny said love wasn't enough to hold a relationship together and Kristen blogged that it was enough...and I thought, "Just wait." But I hoped I was wrong.

Sic, Heather! Initiate full motherfucker! baN4JEi.jpg

I am hoping that Heather is there for Kristen, something tells me that cheating on your spouse is a No, No with Heather even if the cheater is a friend.  BUT I do think/believe that Heather will support whatever Kristen decides, be it leave him or try and work this out.

And that's a 'good' picture of that jack-o-lantern-chimp-faced-sonofabitch.

Ya had to bring up Heather, didn't ya racked. LOL  That's one less husband Heather has to play runtelldat with.  Actually, after she told Reid and Mario what a-holes their wives were, she told Kristen (after Kristen apologized in Montana), that Josh wasn't going to like what Kristen did.  Heather was certainly planning on running to Josh to narc on Kristen.  I can just see Heather and Josh cackling over Stupid Kristen.  (In between talking about how awesome they are for knowing Puffy.)

Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a Heather rant.  It's hard for me not to.  But I don't think Heather is, or ever was, a good friend to Kristen.

And FWIW, I think Heather WILL be back next season.

Last night I served my husband a Bertolli frozen dinner-for-two (well, it was cooked). He said it was delicious, just as he says about pretty much anything I put in front of him. I think the silver lining about Josh Taekman is that he made hundreds - maybe thousands - of women appreciate their husbands that much more. So, thank you, Josh!

Mmm. Bertolli Linquine w/ Shrimp Scampi for 2.  Make some extra linquine to mix in, fresh ground pepper, throw a sprig of parsley and a wedge of lemon on the plate and my hubs thinks I cooked all day.

Hopefully, Josh won't even get his 5 shitty dinners anymore.  He seems like such a try-hard/wannabe businessman.  I hope next year he's living in a walk-up studio apartment in Paramus with boxes of unsold eboost as furniture.  Alone.

What's the story of how Kristen and Josh met?

According to the Dailymail article:

Taekman met Kristen when he was working as Vice President of Marketing for P Diddy's Bad Boy Entertainment label. During the label's peak he handled the careers of artists like Faith Evans, 112, Loon, Danity Kane and countless others.

That is the same time period they met fellow New York Housewife Heather Thompson, who also used to work for Bad Boy.When the label was bought by Atlantic in 2005, California-born Taekman left to launch his own business, Vitalize Labs, which produces the energy drinks and supplements EBOOST popular among celebrities like Jillian Michaels, Bruce Willis and Kelly Ripa. The couple married when Kristen was 25 and lived in California before moving to New York.

Kristen just needs to thank the lord for small blessings - such as the fact that the reunion has already taped. That would have been brutal. At least when Ramona was in that situation the news had been out for months about their issues so she had some time to gather her thoughts (such as they were). It's also good that this little reveal happened outside of filming the season.

I agree that this could have given Bravo a reason to give her a second look for another season, but only if she is willing to discuss what happened. I admit it would be more interesting than most "he cheated" stories, if only because this whole scandal is so fascinating and far reaching with regard to the number of people involved. I hope that if she does come back and it is addressed, she doesn't pull a Shannon Beador and completely forget that they have children at home. For some reason, I don't see Kristen being that dumb.

Since kristen opted n ot to have her personal life featured as much this season (or so word on the street indicates) then I can't see this Ashley Madison stuff saving her for season 8.

I don't think it was Kristen's choice to not have her personal life featured. Like Heather, I think she was frozen out by Andy and Bethenny.  If Andy asks her back, I don't see how she has a choice.  I don't think her company is making enough money, nor are the modeling gigs going to pay the rent.  Unless she comes from a monied family, I think she'll be back.  And like MCM said, I hope the children are spared as much BS as possible, under the circumstances.

True. I was interested to see this arc with Ramona, but it quickly degenerated with her "where are all the hot men? I'm entitled to eye candy. Go fill your event lists with eligible men" baloney. Kristen was candid at last year's reunion about her marriage and I think her perspective would be…I don't know, less tired maybe? than Ramona's. If nothing else, I do think it'd be more interesting watching her as a single woman than see more footage of the scene at Beautique. I want to see handsome guys with deeper pockets than Josh chase Kristen relentlessly on-screen. I want her to find some happiness, whether through success of her nail polish, her blog, or a caring relationship.

Like Heather, I think she was frozen out by Andy and Bethenny.

Wasn't Kristen seated next to Andy at the last reunion? I've heard several times that where a HW sits on the couch is indicative of her position on the show, or her place in Andy Cohen's esteem. And now, this year, she was at the end of the couch.

This might be what BravoAndy needs to re-tool the RHONY franchise.  If Heather is gone next season (and I hope not, nor do I think she is) then NOBODY is a housewife.  Either dump the cast or rename the show.  What I won't watch is a bunch of 40 - 60 year old women getting their groove on and calling each other whores.  Even I have standards.

What modern, "successful" businessman is such a dumbass he would use his identifiable email account, personal credit card, and his family's home address to try to find a sidepiece online?  What a fool!  I realize someone like Josh Duggar who was raised in a jar and has just no damn sense about how the world works is that stupid, but someone like savvy businessman Josh Taekman would surely know better.  At least you'd think so. I guess not. I guess a lot of men were just that dumb, actually.

But what I really don't understand is why a guy with 20 million dollars (supposedly) who is relatively young and in good shape (even if he is pretty much a "butterface") who works for himself and makes his own hours in New York City need a service like Ashley Madison to hook him up with women?  Was Josh looking for some kinda kinky action and needed to screen his women to get what he wanted?  Because I would think he could walk into any number of places and find any number of ho's or golddiggers who didn't mind that ring on his finger.  Guy must be after something weird is what I figure.  Or it could just be that his personality is so completely repugnant that even ho's and golddiggers were instantly repulsed and he was forced to try to lure women in online and get them hooked before they had a chance to realize what a prick he really is.  That could be it.

I think it's extra disgusting that his first instinct was to lie like a rug and claim it wasn't him with that cheating profile, only to admit it later. Obviously he is nothing but a smug scumbag lying cheater on top of being a regular scumbag lying cheater, and I hope Kristin has his entire life online and off professionally investigated to determine the extent of his philandering before she decides what to do.  She needs to know the truth, and she damn sure won't ever get that out of Josh.

Verbatim from daily mail.com what a douche

HE LIED, HE LIED, THEN HE LIED SOME MORE.... WHAT TAEKMAN TOLD DAILY MAIL ONLINE

DM: Josh, your name has come up on the Ashley Madison website and I wondered if that's something you would care to comment on?

Josh: I don't understand. Hello? Can you hear me?

DM: I can hear you fine.

Josh: Hold on a second. I got to get in reception here. Hello? Can you hear me?

DM: I can hear you perfectly.

Josh: I'm sorry I couldn't hear anything I'm in a bad reception area.

DM: Your name has come up on the Ashley Madison website database and I just wondered if that's something you would comment on at all?

Josh: I don't understand what that is

DM: The Ashley Madison website. It's the infidelity dating site.

Josh: Oh the thing that's in the papers right now?

DM: Yes exactly. Your name has come up as being a subscriber to it.

Josh: Oh not a shot in hell. Absolutely not.

DM: So are you saying that somebody used your name spuriously?

Josh: They must have because I have no knowledge of that. This is the first I've ever heard of it.

DM: Well what's your reaction to that? Basically it's looks like you've subscribed from 2011 through to 2014 with multiple payments on a credit card linked to your address.

Josh: (Long silence) I have no idea about that.

DM: So you're denying it.

Josh: Yes totally. This is crazy. So what do I do about that? How do I find out? That's crazy. I've been in LA and I saw it on TV the other day on something like the Today show and we were laughing about it. I'm like that's f***ing bananas.

DM: So you're saying you're not a subscriber to Ashley Madison.

Josh: No. Hopefully I'm not going to be put in any article.

DM: Well your name is definitely down there and obviously we'll reflect your denial but you're in there.

Josh: Well I need you to remove it because that's not me.

DM: I can't remove any data.

Josh: Well I don't understand it. I just don't understand what this really means. It is what it is but it's definitely someone fraudulently using my name and number.

He then hung up

AND HERE'S HIS 'ADMISSION' WHICH DOESN'T MENTION ALL THE TIMES HE USED IT (OR WHY HE LIED)

'I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family.

'We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives.'

While it's very dumb, I think a lot of people thought Ashley Madison was investing money in top notch security, because the only real reason people would go to a site like that and not adultfriendfinder is that it promised complete discretion.  Plus they charged 20 dollars to delete your profile so he probably thought he was safe when he deleted his. Men can be complete idiots when it comes to sex. There is also a m4m section of Ashley Madision so some DL closeted men may have been on there, though a lot go the craigslist route for that sort of thing.

I don't think Josh wants anything that kinky necessarily, he just wanted discretion and probably assumed anyone he met on AM was married herself and wouldn't threaten to tell his wife (or demand money not to tell his wife), the way some random he met in a bar might. Dumbass.

I find it incredibly ironic that Josh put everything on the line based on claims of trustworthiness made by a website meant to facilitate adultery.  Lol!

I'd love to end up on one of the juries that hears a breach of contract suit filed by an Ashley Madison user, ha! I'd laugh them out of the courtroom on principle.

Seriously, though ... Josh is a marketing professional.  He of all people should have realized how prone to puffery a site like Ashley Madison could be.  Just because and advertisement says something, it doesn't make it true. And I can't believe Josh Taekman didn't understand that nothing is ever really, truly gone from the internet whether or not you hit "delete."  I just don't believe he is that stupid.  I do, however believe he is that smug. That entitled.  And that horny.

The thing that kills me is that it would have been SO SIMPLE to protect his real identity.  How long does it take to set up a special email for your AM activities to be routed through?  To get a burner debit card?  You are planning to commit ADULTERY ....  if there is ever a time to be clever and discreet, uhm ... now is the time Josh.  The fact that someone as intelligent as Josh couldn't be bothered suggests to me he had very little concern about his wife catching him. Not a lot of respect there, not for her intelligence ... or for her as his wife and the mother of his children (obviously).

That part makes me a little queasy too. For many of the cheaters there are innocent partners whose personal lives are now in the street, like Kristen. And her children.

I see your point, but I'm torn. While it sucks that these innocent people are now in the public eye, was it better that wives and girlfriends like Kristen remain in the dark while their partners were off trying to score a sidepiece?  I lean towards "no."
