I don't see a "media' discussion page, so Ill put it here.  The WSJ had an 5/11 article on 90 Day Fiance being hugely popular during the pandemic.  They spent half the article talking about Colt, since he is was in E1 of the Self-Quarantine series.  They also had two photos of him with his Mom and with Larissa.

Colt Johnson is a world-famous bachelor who lives with his mother and six cats.

The 34-year-old software engineer from Las Vegas shot to fame last year after participating in TLC’s reality show “90 Day Fiancé.” Although his marriage to the acerbic Brazilian Larissa Cristina Dos Santos Lima ended in tears, Mr. Johnson recently was chosen to open the premiere episode of the spin-off series “90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined.” The spinoff features former cast members coping with being stuck at home amid the pandemic. Looking for a creative way to pass the time, Mr. Johnson filmed a feline fashion show, which included swaddling a black cat in a pink floral gown.

“I feel very fortunate that I have so many cats in this house right now,” he told viewers. “It really takes the burden, the edge, off what’s going on in the world with the lack of socializing and being around other humans.”

TLC’s fast turnaround of “Self-Quarantined” amid a crisis that has shut down most television production is indicative of the network’s ability to expand its flagship franchise.

“90 Day Fiancé,” which debuted in 2014, follows the experiences of Americans who bring their foreign romantic interests to the U.S. on 90-day fiancé visas. During the trial period, the couples must decide whether to wed. The network has built the brand into a sprawling interconnected universe of seven spinoffs and more than 150 cast members representing 39 nations.

A recent season of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days”—where participants traveled abroad in search of true love—helped the franchise rack up its highest ratings ever, thanks in part to viewers hungry for diversion.

“Now that we’re trapped inside and can’t travel, I get to live vicariously through them and see different parts of the world,” said Craig Washington, a 37-year-old Air Force reserve staff sergeant who works in supply-chain management for a hospital in Queens, N.Y. His own social life is on hold recently as he has been working seven days a week. Mr. Washington said “90 Day Fiancé,” which he praised as messy and addictive, helps him wind down.

TLC President Howard Lee said viewers enjoy the warts-and-all lens on cast members. “We get to see a different side of them that’s incredibly revealing: messy houses, screaming and crying children, how to keep their house clean, how to get groceries.”

While TLC’s Sunday lineup—recently including 10 consecutive hours of “90 Day Fiancé” programming—has in past weeks attracted new male and female viewers, the network is scoring biggest with its most-coveted demographic: women.

TLC said it is on pace to be the year’s No. 1 cable channel among adult women for the first time since at least 1998. In April, “Before the 90 Days” was the No. 1 show on cable with women over 18. Recently, the network had a streak of six consecutive Sunday nights with its highest ratings in more than a decade. Ending the year at No. 1 would mean unseating rival network Bravo.

“90 Day Fiancé”-branded shows now account for a third of TLC’s original programming and include spinoffs like “The Other Way,” which documents Americans doing the reverse and moving abroad to find love. In another spinoff, “Pillow Talk,” former cast members watch and comment on newer episodes, while at home in bed.

Although the pandemic has affected production at TLC, Mr. Lee said the network has enough yet-to-be-aired content to last deep into 2021.

76 Couples

23,580 Minutes of programming (since 2014)

921,000 Average number of views per YouTube post

As the franchise has gone mainstream—Lady Gaga and Chrissy Teigen have professed their love publicly—the strategy of courting female viewers is bringing in another demographic: married men.

“He wasn’t too thrilled about it, but then he sat down and started watching some of the drama,” said Jonnay Tracy, a stay-at-home mom in Grinnell, Iowa, who got her husband, Ken, into reality shows with an episode of “90 Day Fiancé.” “Honestly,” Ms. Tracy said, “he’s probably more hooked than I am.”

During lockdown, reality-TV characters have been helping to fill a void in the couple’s social life while giving them something to chat about. “It breaks up the monotony,” Mr. Tracy said. “You get a laugh seeing some of the cringeworthy moments that they experience on the show and you definitely feel for them.”

“It’s escapism pure and simple,” said Susan Krauss Whitbourne, professor emerita of psychology at University of Massachusetts Amherst, who has written about reality TV. “But it isn’t like the other kind of escapism scripted television or movies provides.” According to Prof. Whitbourne, “these are real people and we identify with those real people and what they are going through.”

The show’s online popularity has grown this year, with #90DayFiancé trending near the top of Twitter on Sundays, according to the social-media platform. TLC’s YouTube posts attract millions of views weekly as thousands of fans participate in Facebook groups created by users and dedicated to the franchise. Not all online commenters are fans. Some take issue with older American cast members pursuing much younger domestic partners from impoverished nations.

But with the pandemic ushering in a difficult era of separation from friends and loved ones, fans are taking to social media to share views on shows like “90 Day Fiancé” for some respite, according to Susan Kresnicka, a cultural anthropologist who has studied reality-TV fans. “We’re obviously in need of social connection at this moment,” she said.

While the “Self-Quarantined” series may not rack up the ratings of other shows in the franchise, it appears to be connecting with die-hard fans who want to learn more about the characters they feel they have come to know.

“I like to see people across the country and how they’re dealing with [the pandemic] as well as getting an update on the couples,” said Lauren Lopez, of Waco, Texas. Ms. Lopez, who works part time at a steakhouse and has been watching “90 Day Fiancé” shows with her husband, added, “I think it’s undeniable that you can’t look away.”

It's gotten beyond ridiculous.  I was just looking at all the couples' threads.  I was searching to find a couple that I liked. I hate to be so negative Nellie, but, man.......couldn't find one. lol   Guess I'll have to keep watching.  No doubt it's going to shorten my life expectancy.

I missed that.  I vaguely remember them.  It seems that I recall that he left his young child in her care early on....right?  I sort wondered about that, but, don't have any particular negative feelings about them, so that's a plus!

I love the comment telling her not to do her porn with Erikeeeeee lololol!!... I agree and I don't want to see Colt's junk either!!!  Ugh!!!!!

Seems like a lot of them are willing to make their money by showing off their tits and ass

There was a pic of Karini a couple of days ago flashing hers on her Fans Only and Evilynn and Corey both have Fans Only and they're doing the same thing.

I can't imagine who'd want to see Corey jerking off.  😲

Well, in fairness to her the comment is hypothetical.  And that's half a million bucks that no one is offering her.

And, at least it's an honest days work.  It's not catfishing people or luring losers send you their life's savings.  Heck, I think it's a more honest pursuit than most high level jobs in banking that involve tricking people into accounts they never signed up for.

annie and david have adjusted well.  annie never smiled and they weren't happy.  david didn't work and they were getting handouts from david's so called 'best' friend who 'jokingly' suggested annie could give him free massages for his help.

The friend was put up by TLC to do the massage bit. He regrets agreeing. There was a video about it from him and his wife that I think is linked on the couple’s thread.

You have to wonder how many instances are really instigated by production and how many the person looking in hindsight doesn’t want to take the heat for their own bad decision and it’s easy to blame production.  Like how people like to blame editing when they clearly said or did the things shown.

Larissa has been being insulted constantly about her cosmetic work, asking her dad, who is raising her daughter, for money for the immigration case and not paying him for taking care of her daughter, for blaming Colt for her domestic violence against him and continuing to fight with people on Instagram, especially those who say that now her dad sent her money and she's back on the show she can send them the money she swindled from them. Now, she's had it with production, too. This return to television hasn't resulted in an outpouring of fans she expected. She thinks she is the Queen of the franchise, like Ed thinks he was the most authentic, or whatever

Jess responded to some hate about how she portrayed Brazilians and sex from people who said their nationality is stereotyped badly enough without her help. It's nice that she didn't blame production or say that it was her script, which is partly true.

The second slide is Larissa changing her mind about her anger at only having four minutes in the last episode.

Larissa answered some questions on IG, well someone answered some questions on Larissa's IG, I'm leaning toward it being Erickee.

There are several more but I must not have saved the links because I can't find them now. They were funny like that last one.

Also, there is a post somewhere, which I cannot find and I've really searched, from an immigration attorney in Las Vegas who was able to confirm that Larissa is in removal proceedings and her attorney was able to get her a work authorization while the hearings are pending. I know she made a comment on a YouTube video saying it's what she thought was happening and then a blog post with the proof of her being a licensed immigration attorney in LV, had access to the public records she was basing her opinions on, and detailed how the process works and why Larissa is likely going to lose any Adjustment.

I thought she received the Waiver to allow her to receive her Conditional Green Card without being married to the original petitioner back at a hearing in October, but the attorney is saying it is something different. She also said it could take years because the courts are already backed up and Covid-19 made it worse, so we should expect Larissa to try and stay another way, like the VAWA or marry a new person and apply for an adjustment based on that marriage. She also said that the arrests for DV, even though they were reduced from felonies to one misdemeanor charge from all three arrests, will still hurt her, is a very big deal, and even if Colt didn't pull his Financial Affidavit, she was unlikely to receive a Conditional Green Card based on her marriage to Colt because she had been arrested three times at that point.

Colt called the first time but not the other two so she can blame him all she wants but she brought it on herself; for starters, by physically assaulting him. The second arrest came after people viewing her IG meltdown thought Colt assaulted her and call the cops and the third call was from Carmen, after she thought Colt was going to call so she scratched herself up, Carmen took photos and called the cops saying her friend was beaten up by her husband. On the show Colt said Debbie called but the records only showed a call from Carmen. It's possible Debbie called too, but it's just as likely he was unable to say Carmen's name so he said Debbie, like what happened with Liam had to reshoot part of his conversation with Aladin to refer to himself instead of his brother.

The EMS cleaned her up and said it was self inflicted, and that is what almost got the judge to refuse the reduction in the charges. She claimed Colt assaulted her every time and had no marks while he did, except the last time when it was self-inflicted, plus she admitted releasing the video of his penis on the internet and lied during a conversation with Yates where she claimed he was a pedophile she caught watching kiddie porn. Before that hearing, the talk was that no one was expecting the judge she drew to agree to the reduction and everyone was shocked that he did. Both Larissa and Carmen were lashing out on IG trying to blame anyone and everyone for anything and everything leading up to that hearing, because Larissa was expecting ICE to take her into custody immediately.

Now we know why she made up with Erickee. She needs a husband for the best chance to stay and the best she can get is the Colts and Erics because she batshit crazy and violent. The police reports and court records, including of her being a domestic abuser in Brazil, which resulted in her losing custody of all three kids through the courts, hardly make her a prize.

I really, really hate that the source I'm posting is a Soapdirt article, because they are notorious for taking a comment from social media and twisting it into an article, which often turns out to be rumor and speculation as opposed to fact.

However, somewhere in this thread I posted about reading a blog post by an immigration attorney in Las Vegas who said Larissa is in removal proceedings but has received a work authorization while her case is pending. That blog post was follow-up to a comment she (the attorney) made on a YouTube video where she posted her credentials showing she was an attorney and had access to the information. I searched but could not find the blog post again, so my comment here had no source.

The above linked Soapdirt article appears to have come across the same information I did and that attorney is listed, sans her name, as their second expert. Reading that article is almost like reading the blog post, so I doubt they even reached out to her and just rewrote what she said, like I did earlier, and now I am calling myself a journalist, too. If Soapdirt can do it, so can I!

The article does have screenshots of Larissa's third booking photo where you can see where she picked her acne, a screenshot of the U.S. Code section being discussed, a screenshot of her domestic violence docket, plus a very unflattering photo at the beginning of the article. I'm cutting and pasting the article sans graphics under the spoiler tab and taking credit for being the author since that's what Soapdirt does, and unlike Soapdirt, I'm actually linking back to the source (them).

90 Day Fiance’: Larissa May Be Deported Still – Here’s Why and When

June 28, 2020 Jess Tateham Larissa Dos Santos

90 Day Fiance‘s Larissa Dos Santos Lima may not be in the clear and still faces deportation. Two different sources tied to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) explain why she’s not eligible to remain in the country and when she could face ousting from America unless something changes.

90 Day Fiance: Colt Johnson Withdrew Larissa Dos Santos Lima’s K-1 Application

While some divorced pairs from the TLC show allow their spouse to stay, that’s not what Colt plans. And Larissa confirmed it. When you bring a future spouse over on a K-1 visa, you file an affidavit of support. That’s the document that says Colt would financially support Larissa.

Other TLC divorcee Danielle Mullins, for instance, agreed not to withdraw her affidavit. That’s why Mohamed Jbali got to stay. But, Colt said he withdrew his application for her. That’s step one towards Larissa’s deportation.

Recently on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, Larrisa Dos Santos confirmed he’d done so. And she admitted her immigration status was at risk. And, there’s another strike against her, says one of our USCIC sources. It relates to her arrest.

Larissa’s Domestic Violence Conviction is Step Two

US visa officer “Agent C” protects his identity but weighs in often on 90 Day Fiance K-1 and spousal visa issues. He said Larissa “no longer has a legal basis” to get a green card. But the more significant problem, says this expert, is her conviction on a domestic violence charge.

While Larissa Dos Santos said she wasn’t convicted of that charge, she was. Soap Dirt’s Vegas reporter was in court for the verdict. However, after community service and domestic violence offender classes, the judge modified it to “disorderly conduct” on her permanent criminal record.

Yet, the 90 Day Fiance K-1 officer said that makes no difference for a deportation case. He said despite the “pled down charge” that Larissa “falls squarely into the category” of a deportable alien. So, why is Larissa still in the US when she doesn’t meet requirements?

Another Immigration Expert Explains Why 90 Day Fiance Deportation Taking So Long

According to one agent, the 90 Day Fiance deportation should be a done deal unless Larissa Dos Santos Lima remarries someone who files a new affidavit of support. Now, a second expert weighed in on Larissa’s immigration case, why it’s dragging, and how she got a work permit.

At a glance, you might think Larissa getting a US work permit is a sign the 90 Day Fiance can stay. But it’s not. That document, an EAD (employment authorization document) doesn’t point to Larissa staying or getting her green card. In fact, the immigration lawyer said it confirms she’s in “removal proceedings.”

So, if USCIS was going to deport Larissa, why would they grant a work permit to the 90 Day Fiance cast member? The lawyer said that permission to work offers financial relief to the applicant while they wait for their deportation case to come up for a hearing.

Two Legal Sources Say 90 Day Fiance Celeb Larissa Should Pack Her Bags (Slowly)

By letting her work, the visa lawyer says Larissa Dos Santos Lima can support herself while she waits (possibly years) for her USCIS hearing. If she can find another husband before then, she might get her green card. Otherwise, both sources agree she has little chance of staying.

The immigration attorney who works with 90 Day Fiance type visas, says Larissa’s three arrests are a “huge hurdle” to staying in America. But, that lawyer said, before COVID, courts were backlogged three to four-years for deportation hearings. Now, she thinks it could be even longer.

In the meantime, Larissa Dos Santos Lima has a work permit to support herself. But, it’s not a sign that she gets to stay. The two experts concur. If she doesn’t find another US citizen spouse before her final 90 Day Fiance hearing, she’ll very likely be deported.

So Coltee just met this other woman, and he's already talking about going to Brazil if she has to go back?    Can he do another K-1 visa?    There must be some kind of limit on that.

He might not even know.  I maintain that colt has no intention of getting married again until Debbie dies.

But I wonder if Jess looked up the rules on a K1.

Debbie will never leave and she will always guilt and passive aggressively push away any potential life partner.

If colt weren't such a worm, id feel sorry for him. His marriage to Larissa never had a chance.  A long term relationship with Jess is a nonstarter.

I don't think any marriage to Colt or Larissa stands a chance, regardless of Debbie. They are both awful.

Larissa has been married three times, was found to be the perpetrator of domestic violence in all three, with the first two resulting in her husbands receiving sole physical and legal custody of her children and her daughter was later removed by the State due to her being violent and unstable. Erickee has also made some allegations but never actually said she was physically abusive.

Colt is likely addicted to porn and is, at minimum, a chronic cheater with women over the internet. If one of them wanted to meet him, he would definitely do it in person, too. He didn't block or stop Larissa from sending nudes, and has been with Vanessa over a year. Larissa was bragging about sending him the nudes when she was trying to antagonize Vanessa, then accused Vanessa of having her nudes on her phone because she was jealous of Larissa's body, followed up by accusing Vanessa of sending Larissa's nudes to her ex-husband. She continues to say she has proof but Vanessa's husband tells her to prove it, which she never does because it isn't true, and what she does post as proof does not prove anything other than she sent Colt nudes while she was with Eric, because she admits it. Vanessa's response was, "Why would I want Larissa's nudes?" but otherwise ignores her.

Vanessa has been living with Colt and Debbie for several months and has nothing but nice things to say about Debbie. Even if she has no issues with Debbie, I can't see why she would put up with Colt sexting with other women and don't see him stopping it, because he's sleazy.

Larissa is going to start an OnlyFans in Sept. I'm guessing that is when this season will end.

Larissa is going to start an OnlyFans in Sept. I'm guessing that is when this season will end.

I see no reason she can't do her sex-titution biz from BRAZIL, which is where her vile ass belongs.  Ugh, I hope she gets sent back to her native land tout suite.  #ByeFelicia

I have to agree with this.  Why is she still in this country....I thought plastic surgery was cheaper in Brazil.

I can't take her seriously, how can I take anybody seriously who has decided to look like the Joker.

I totally agree.  I have no problem with immigrants, but she is unstable and if you have been arrested 3 times for domestic violence, it's time to go, Felicia.  Did you all see when she went up the stairs in her cable knit leggings and crop top?  She had a red thong on underneath!

The Joker crossed with Joan Rivers.

It reminds me of when Castro would send boatloads of deranged mental patients to Florida.  Your problem now, thanks!

Larissa accidentally told the truth when she wrote "begging."

She's actually said she would like to move from LV since shortly after her divorce. Someone invited her to come visit them where ever they lived, and she told them her immigration attorney told her not to leave the city because if she got picked up somewhere else she would be stuck there since he wouldn't travel to her location. That reminded me of when she tried to say she had a Green Card after her divorce and was called out as a liar, so I found some of the old posts.

First she posted a photo of a Green Card stating it was hers and was called out because it has Carmen's last name on it:

Then an immigration attorney posted in a FB group that she couldn't have one and Larissa called her ugly and a liar, two slides and the arrow is hard to see but the second slide is the attorney's response:

Too late! TLC has already traumatized us with that brief clip of Colt adjusting his Speedo so tonight it will be the Full Coltee. Maybe there should be a black screen warning to avert your eyes. I think I still have my solar eclipse viewer from a couple of years ago, but at the very least I will be prepared with a barf bucket.

Looking at that last photo above of Larissa poolside, is she modeling an ANKLE MONITOR?
