I love Sara.  At first she seemed kind of vapid, but at times she shows some intelligence.  

Right now, there is a lot of tension.  Joy and Sunny can't stand Meghan, and Meghan is pretty open with her disdain of them.  Sara has seen the bitchiness from Meghan, and will do anything to not have that directed at her.    She does not do well with conflict, so she has been reduced to "let's play nice, both sides are wrong, it's Ok, let's make up and all be friends."  I think the conflict and hard feelings of the other hosts are really hard for her to handle.  

Sara is intimidated by Meghan.   If Meghan left the show, we'd have fun Sara back again.

Meghan, on her tirade whilst schooling everyone at the table about the Dems, snarks at Sunny for making a face (which was not on camera so we don't what kind of face it was).  But on the same day, when Joy politely says to Meghan, can I just make this point and then continues, Meghan did her WTF I am so annoyed face.

Meghan has been in politics her whole life because her mother was pregnant with her during the Reagan convention.  And she is here to help the uninformed women at the table about politics, because they know nothing, but if they don't want her help, oh well.

Sunny said that she spoke to Bakari Sellers about the alleged fracture in the Dem party, and he is said it is not, it is a shift in ideology.  Then Whoopi told her it is fractured, because of course she is the final word on everything.

After all, there's not too many things she's good at but she's been in politics all her life. She was even at the convention when her mother was carrying her for what ...maybe 2 weeks. When my mother was carrying me she went to the movies a lot. So I guess I'm now a movie star.

I do see Sara’s point though that it must be scary for people in the public eye (anyone, not just pols) to have people yelling in their faces. There are way too many whackos with guns and things can get out of hand quickly.  I don’t know what the answer is re First Amendment rights vs personal security but I do get what she’s saying.

I initially thought she just had the baby blues or something but I think it's more than that now. She never seemed to like conflict anyway but it's more pronounced with Meghan at the table. They are polar opposites in terms of temperament.

Sara, actually was the most astute about the Crowley/Ocasio race, when she was talking about how uncomfortable she was with the amount of money raised in races.  

Crowley was the epitome of establishment Democrat.  He took tons of money from lobbyist (and even took money from a Republican Lobbying firm last week).  He's been unopposed for 15 years, and doesn't even live in his district.  He also skipped multiple debates, with Ocasio Cortez, pissing a lot of the community in the Bronx.  He got complacent, and paid the price from people who feel that he doesn't really care about their district.

Ocasio's had 70% of her money be individual contributions of less than $200.  Ocasio's biggest campaign platforms is overturning Citizens United and not taking corporate money, as well as abolishing ICE, and federal jobs guarantee.  She is part of Justice Democrats and Brand New Congress two groups that endorse candidates that do not take corporate money .  Those groups try to knock off politicians that take too much lobbyist money on both parties (They tried to take out Dianne Feinstein and Joe Manchin but failed).   Ben Jealous (who won as well), is part of Justice Democrats.

I wanted to hear Sunny's take on it, since she's from the Bronx, but freaking Meghan and Whoopi interrupted her on a constant basis.  I loved Joy for saying no one knows what a socialist means.

Was it Joy that said Bernie also hurt Hillary?  I immediately thought of the Russian disinformation too that drove some voters to Bernie.

Interesting info about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez beating the incumbent.  Now I see why she had such a shocked expression when she won.  Good for her!

While my mother was pregnant with me she was living with my dad's parents because he was in the service and she worked as a RN at night and hid in the basement reading  psychology and abnormal psychology during the day !   I think that makes me professor Dr Dylan Reinhart (Alan Cummings character ) or perhaps  a serial killer .  I love how she qualified it with I may not do many things right but I've been doing politics all my life . She is  right that she doesn't do much right,  at least what we can witness.  

MM would be able to go out in public if she wasn't so obnoxious. She  and president Obama  were adversaries?  I'm glad  Whoopi corrected her.   Delusions  of grandeur much?! 

i really  liked Amber and what she had to say . It really doesn't occur to most people about men being victims of rape/ sexual assault. The organization where I volunteer also supplies immediate clothing  for males after sexual assault when clothes  are taken as evidence.

Bernie Sanders is not a socialist. He’s a social Democrat. He has campaigned on policies that virtually EVERY other first world country outside of the United States has implemented. Canada, the EU, Germany, etc. do not call themselves socialist countries because we are not and mislabelling something may spread ignorance but it doesn’t reinvent facts or the truth. A social democracy is founded on the principle that through taxation, a portion of one’s wealth is re-distributed in a manner that allows all basic human rights to all citizens (ex. healthcare) and affordable opportunities (ex. education and housing). This does not mean that individuals cannot be prosperous in these societies and this doesn’t mean that virtually all one’s money goes to taxes. This a false equivalence made when discussions about social services come up. I don’t think Sander’s campaign hurt Clinton as much as Meghan is suggesting. I think there are a multiple of factors that hurt Clinton in the national election, including the feeling by many Bernie supporters that it was the DNC sabotaging the preliminaries in order to hand Clinton the Dem leadership. I think the main concern between a Sanders type and the Democratic party is the grass roots type of mentality that is unlikely to indulge corporations and that means the Dems may be worried about future money flowing into the DNC.

Being tribal isn’t a good thing. It’s just a pretty way of calling something a cult. People should be voting on the issues, regardless of which party represents those issues.

Amber is really passionate and I appreciate that. Good on Crews for moving forward with his story despite many people telling him to just shut up.

I've been saying for years they need to make a choice between money or votes.  Which Sara alluded to when she brought up Crowley taking a lot of money from special interests and which Ocasio-Cortez did not.

They need to revamp the entire system because the amount of money they spend on campaigning is disgusting. Collectively and through the years, the many social services that politicians don't seem to think they can afford...they'd be a hell of a lot closer if they used some of that campaigning money to do it.

I love reading all the insightful responses, but as long as that hateful blonde blob remains on the panel -- I refuse to ruin my morning. I must admit, I did tune-in for the 2 minute interview with Jon Meacham. 

I wish The View would book the Pulitzer Award winning George Will although I'm sure he believes this show is beneath him. He's a defector from the republican party and doesn't suffer fools lightly. MM proclaiming her undying love for him would have little to no effect.
