I guess it's no different than any other day, but Whoopi was truly insufferable today. It was rich of her to pull Joy up because she thought Joy wasn't discussing the same topic the rest of them were. Whoopi frequently can't follow the actual topic discussed and starts badly pontificating on something else. At least Joy has a logical thought process. Plus when she overrode Sunny's report on what an actual Democrat told her about fracture in the party with her own opinion as though her opinion supersedes everyone elses... ugh!

Sunny is the saving grace of this show at the moment. And I'll always be fond of Joy, even when I disagree with her. The other three drive me bonkers, haha.

Yesterday when the ladies were talking about children's preferences for one patent over the other,  WHY did they infantilize  (sp?) MM by asking about her preferences ---like we didn't know already?

Her mom had to be bad cop, I'm sure. Plus John is more famous and we know MM likes her political celebrities cuz she's got nothing else.  

Why didn't they ask MM about her nieces/nephews' preferences or  whenever they talk about children?    I guess she is probably not close to them, or they don't like her either.  

Infantiliizing MM is cringe-worthy. She is too old for that shit.

Meghan thinks abortion is murder and that this is a "win" for Republicans because Trump will more than likely put someone on the SCOTUS more conservative than Anthony Kennedy. For a party that believes in smaller government, it's mind-boggling that they are so concerned about what women choose to do with their body - I agree with Whoopi. I'm deeply concerned about what impact this will have on things concerning affirmative action, Roe v. Wade, gay marriage, ect. I can't lie, this news hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday. I hope the Notorious RDG (Ruth Bader Ginsburg) can hold out until the 2020 election. I don't mean to put all the responsibility on her or anyone else but this is serious business. If the SCOTUS swings mostly one way for the next 40-50 years, most of us on this forum will be long gone before the damage can be undone. Elections have consequences.

Look, my family comes from coal country, the coal industry death was not sudden and it's not new information, they were told a long time ago that the industry was not long for this world. It's also not a new thing for people like Trump and his ilk to tell people in these parts of the country that they will save them and bring those jobs back knowing full well there's no way to do that, and of course those people listened to them, stayed, voted for them, and are now living in unimaginable poverty all the while clinging to their belief that they will save them and blaming "illegals" for their woes.

I'm glad Sunny kept reiterating that Justice Kennedy was a conservative who strongly protected individual liberty. That keeps getting lost in the conversation. 

I'm not really sure what Meghan wants. She said she was thrilled because of her pro-life views, but she knew it was "going to be a hard day" because the table leans liberal.  This was news to her? She was that upset that Joy and Whoopi disagreed with her? Both of them have been consistent on abortion for years. What did Meghan expect?

Lol Meghan believed she was an expert on poor people because she's talked to them. It's a "low blow" to point out that not all poor people are red-state White Republicans?

Same here. Megan was also gloating about another win, for her tribe and it was not the time.  She was also taking shots at all of the third party voters.   

Sunny is pro-life, but, she was considerate enough, not to gloat about Roe v. Wade possibly going away.

I loved Joy taking a shot at the Democrats for being so weak and supine.  They got us into this mess, by not fighting hard enough for Merrick Garland.

She'd be perfect for this job.  I've been floating her name whenever we get into a serious discussion of MMM replacements, and really hope a fire gets lit for her.  Tara is currently a CNN Political Commentator, already a Contributor to ABC News and a former GOP Communications Director on Capitol Hill. She's also already based in NYC, so it wouldn't require a move on her part (unlike Miami-bound Ana).  For all her accomplishment, her name isn't very well recognized, which is a shame, but you may recognize her face when you see her.  She's previously co-hosted on The View, but not often enough.

At the very beginning of the show, there was a clip of trump's recent speech.   they talked about how he is turning the country into a dictatorship.  Meghan dismisses the idea, saying that there have been times that the Dems were in power, too. 

Hold on BABY,  I've been around a while.   I have NEVER heard any other president consistently refer to his party and the opposing party as "Us"  and "them."  sure, they may use that phrasing during an election.   But until this current guy, presidents have acknowledged that, once in office, the other party is not the enemy.   When Meghan talks about "tribalism" - the way trump speaks IS the tribalism going on in the country.    He won't shut up about "THEM", and he doesn't mean dictators from other countries - he means democrats - United States CITIZENS.
