Damn right Meghan's jealous. When people think of Nicole, they think intelligence and likability. When people think of Meghan, it's nepotism and PMS.

Two things can be true at once.  It is indeed pretty silly to market Nicolle Wallace as being youth oriented.  But it's also pretty true that a lot of the salt aimed at this is motivated simply as a "gotcha".

MeAgain, it is not a "paradigm shift" when a single person (you) finally realizes what most people have known for years.  It was only a few weeks ago that she learned that George Floyd had a knee on his neck for 8:46 minutes - was that never mentioned on the conservative media she consumed during the previous 10 months?

Yes, this paradigm shift verbiage is her latest fave, but I don't think she really understands it and apparently she doesn't realize it was a buzzword like 25 - 30 years ago in business.

From Wiki:

Quote

In the later part of the 1990s, 'paradigm shift' emerged as a buzzword, popularized as marketing speak and appearing more frequently in print and publication.[37] In his book Mind The Gaffe, author Larry Trask advises readers to refrain from using it, and to use caution when reading anything that contains the phrase. It is referred to in several articles and books[38][39] as abused and overused to the point of becoming meaningless.

I don't know why anybody who is a regular viewer of this show is so shocked at Meghan's behaviour.  I mean, as far as we can see from being on the outside of things, she's been getting nothing but positive reinforcement from the higher ups to act this way and even takes it upon herself to take credit for the ratings because of it.  🤷‍♀️  She's been able to run roughshod over her co-workers and guests alike for how many months now?  How many years?

The show has created its own monster, so now what?

For sure she has jacked up the nastiness and her combative behaviour has escalated in the last month or so but I would guess that she either (a) is just doing what she's been doing all along because it's been accepted and imo, even encouraged or (b) it's just classic Meghan, feeling attacked and ganged up on because she's the only conservative woman to ever walk the face of the earth and she's feeling especially vulnerable now because her team is going crazy balls to the wall so she is doing exactly the same thing as her team.

I would guess she's rather pleased with herself because she gets to lay on the couch in the evening and scroll through her phone and look at all the Meghan-centric  stories and tweets while the nanny gives Liberty🗽 her bath.  Even negative attention is good attention for someone like Meghan.  I'm sure she learned that growing up.   I mean, why else would she continue to show up on live tv looking like this?  She lives for this shit.

If she does ever get fired she will claim it was because she was the lone conservative on the panel and was a victim of cancel culture or she will excuse her behaviour away by saying she is having trouble dealing with her grief over her father's death.  Either way, she will conveniently be covered and won't have to take any ownership or blame.

Everything you say is true but I'm still going to criticize her and ABC for allowing it.  We know Abby left because of the toxic environment Meghan created. How long before another employee leaves and/or files a claim against ABC?  If the on air show is this tense when they are remote what is it going to be like when they are back in the studio? Joy doesn't need this job. Neither does Sunny. Sara has a contract with ABC and they use her for different things.  How long before Meghan's co hosts decide it's  just not worth it?

I completely agree with you 100%!  Just because it's being allowed to happen most certainly does not make it right.  But what has to change before something changes?  Ratings.  Like everything in life sadly, follow the money.  So ratings would have to drastically drop for the advertiser dollars to drastically drop and even then, they have their built-in View Your Deal commercial to compensate.

Maybe there is a glimmer of hope because of the new bigwig at ABC.

And as for Joy and Whoopi, I would personally love for them to leave this shit show and go live their best lives.  Who needs this shit?  This show is really no longer The View anymore with or without them.  It's too far gone now.

You are right. If they were to leave and ABC decided to retool it with new co  hosts with Meghan of course still there it would no longer be the View.  I wonder of Barbara Walters ever watches it and thinks WTF have they done?

Ha! I just found this hideous thing online for 65 bucks!  2 minutes into a google search for headband trends and this exact one popped up.

https://www.revolve.com/lele-sadoughi-terry-cloth-knotted-headband/dp/LELE-WA116/

82 bucks for us Canadians.  Wow, what a steal.  Who's ordering?  Save me one!

What is REALLY  crazy is that, in case the price is too steep,  you can buy the headband for 4 monthly installments of $16.25.

A HEADBAND!

I wonder if Meghan is getting paid to wear it.  She is trying to be an influencer and part of being an influencer is getting paid to promote things.

Even MeAgain's Mom thinks she is rude.

https://toofab.com/2021/05/27/meghan-mccain-mother-cindy-cringe-view/

From the article:

Meghan's own mother, Cindy McCain, told Andy Cohen during his SiriusXM Radio Andy show that it can be challenging to watch how her daughter sometime carries herself on the show.

"Yeah, from a mom ― you teach your children to be polite and be nice to other people and all that kind of stuff, and it does make me cringe a little bit," she said of when Meghan gets personal with Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines.

At the same time, she had to concede that she can't even say she's really surprised by the revelation as Meghan's nickname in her own family is "John McCain in a dress."

She did make sure to say, though, that she also thinks Meghan is "doing a great job," applauding her for standing up for her beliefs.

"That's all you can ask for," said Cindy. "And she’s also really smart. So I appreciate what she does. I don’t always agree with her, but I do appreciate it."

And even if it does make her cringe a bit from time to time, "It’s her job and it’s what she does."

She went on to emphasize that "it’s Whoopi [Goldberg]'s job to keep the peace, so I understand everything that’s going on there. But as a mom, yeah, it does bother me a little bit."

Yeah I was going post that too as well. Even her own mom is sick of her lmao.

Meghan would be so flattered by "John McCain in a dress." lmao

Cindy's honest side comes out with basically saying Meghan's lack of politeness and nice makes her cringe. Her mom side comes out with saying her daughter's really smart and doing a great job, unless she means a great job getting people talking.

I see she is wearing those ugly ass pants again.

Short-waisted Meghan wearing high-waisted white pants with a crotch length that looks about 3 feet too long.  And I hate her even more now for making me use the  word 'crotch.' #burnthosepantspronto 🔥👖

That's the happiest I've ever seen her look.  They should frame this masterpiece and put it on the bedside table beside her copy of The Constitution and Dolly Parton.

Happiest woman in the world because she got to gamble.   Her priorities are so fucked up.

It is a bit weird, to me, to have a baby and be so eager to drink and gamble.   I've never understood women having babies and not wanting their lifestyle to change  I have always thought you get the drink/party/gamble thing out of your system,  and THEN have a baby. And then you're into baby-centered activities.

Unfortunately Meg was getting to the “use it or lose it” age and probably felt pressure to have a baby whether she wanted one or not.

Per the mod's post in the Media thread, I'm moving my below post from the Media thread to the Meghan thread here:

"Here's some more noms they missed:

Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host:

Gloria Estefan, Emily Estefan, Lili Estefan, Red Table Talk: The Estefans - Facebook Watch
Tamron Hall, Tamron Hall - Syndicated
Taraji P. Henson, Tracie JadePeace Of Mind With Taraji - Facebook Watch
Larry King, Larry King Now - Ora TV
Rachael Ray, Rachael Ray - Syndicated
Amy Robach, Dr. Jennifer Ashton, Tj Holmes, GMA3: What You Need To Know - ABC
Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, Red Table Talk - Facebook Watch

*Outstanding Entertainment Talk Host:

Drew Barrymore- The Drew Barrymore Show
Kelly Clarkson- The Kelly Clarkson Show
Sean Evans- Hot Ones | First We Feast
Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager- Today Show with Hoda and Jenna
Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest- Live With Kelly and Ryan

*Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show:

The Drew Barrymore Show - Syndicated
The Ellen DeGeneres Show - Syndicated
The Kelly Clarkson Show - Syndicated
Live With Kelly And Ryan - Syndicated
Today Show With Hoda & Jenna - NBC

So glad this didn't get a nom:

Outstanding Hairstyling:

The Big Fib - Disney+
The Real - Syndicated
Red Table Talk - Facebook Watch
The Talk - CBS
The Wendy Williams Show - Syndicated

*ETA:  In 2019 and before, The View was listed as being nominated for Entertainment Talk Show, and in 2020, it won for Informative Talk Show.  So I'm assuming they no longer submit it for Entertainment Talk Show consideration.  If that's the case, the two Entertainment categories above can be ignored.

But not only didn't they get a nom for Informative Talk Show as ginger90 mentioned above, they didn't get a nom for Informative Talk Show Host (see first part of my post).  Take that, Meghan.

Can you imagine all the tweets and instagrams Meghan would be posting touting her and the show's nominations if things had been different.

I hope this will light a fire under the new ABC bigwig that the show has become unwatchable.

ETA:  Oops, I scrolled up and saw falltime had already posted a link to all the nominations."

Exactly, the show being shut out is truly a blessing in disguise.  Nutmeg has made the show unbearable and I am watching it less and less. If I do watch the show, I turn the channel when it is her turn to spew propaganda misinformation and disinformation. If I wanted to watch that type of garbage I would seek it on the internet and other channels that speak like her.

I agree. I'll repeat what I said in The View in the Media thread, too, in that they definitely don't belong in the Informative Talk Show category when they've chosen to aid and abet the spread of misinformation on this show. That would be laughable after they've allowed McCain to lie about and politicize everything from masks to the CDC nonstop for the past year. It would be one thing if they had someone cleanup the misinformation after her, but she's often allowed "final word" in most cases on this show. I guess the show's reaping what they've sown. I don't blame the other co-hosts, but the EPs and the network. Perhaps it's not even the EPs' fault for all we know. Maybe they don't have the kind of power to reign it in. The loss of ratings and being blocked at the awards has more to do with the ABC president having a talk with McCain than McCain's misbehavior Monday itself, imo. If they actually gave a crap about how she acted, talks like those would've been happening continuously for the past few years and they wouldn't have roped Joy in as if she acted in "equal" measure rather than attempting to defend Whoopi from her assholery.

Last night she was having a meltdown on Twitter because people were calling out her hypocrisy for going to casinos.

I don't get that. It may be shitty that her priority is going to a casino, but how's it hypocritical?  She's been clear that stuff like this is her priority for months. She's hypocritical on tons of things, but not this. It's shallow and stupid, but consistent with her other statements.

Because of this post taking a swipe at VP Harris' tweet about enjoying the long weekend. I'm not sure how she managed to fit in gambling and shots with all that praying she's supposedly doing.
