I think Melissa had a much bigger chance of upstaging Tre than drunk Rosie and boring Kathy.

Melissa threatened Teresa by being able to get lots of attention - Kathy and Rosie threatened her by being kind and comfortable in their own skins, qualities that Teresa lacks. It doesn’t take a lot to threaten narcissists.

hi Goofygirl:

This season opening wasn't so bad.

I was never a Siggy fan and she's really smelling herself this year. Overall I still prefer her over Jacqueline. I think she is having a mental breakdown over Josh going away to college.

Dolores and the exhubs have a symbiotic relationship. I'm not quite getting how it works but they will always be entwined like this even when they are in separate homes. I'm curious about that massage table - where the hell did it come from? and the soiled blanket - is it the boom boom bed they pulled out of the garage?

I felt very sad for Teresa's dad. He is absolutely lost. He lost his best friend Juicy's dad and now his soulmate.

Danielle - slipped right back into the group. Good for her.

Danielle and Siggy need to stop the injections and procedures - both of them look like they've been filled with embalming fluid - frozen in death.

He has a lovely sister, but he chooses to spurn her.  Maybe he will do some thinking.

This is about Joe from Teresas new book:

http://people.com/tv/teresa-giudice-opens-up-about-her-marriage-in-revealing-new-memoir-im-still-not-happy-with-joe/

and this from an interview she gave to US Weekly:

http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/teresa-giudice-talks-joe-giudice-marriage-prison-new-book-w505538

A lot of people are shocked that you haven't left him. Have you ever thought, "I'm done"?

Not yet.

Your former pal Kim DePaolo has been telling people you have a boyfriend. Is that true?

No! I'm surprised it took over a year for something like that to come out about me. I have a lot of guy friends. I really don't care what people think — I'm not living in a bubble, I have to go on with my life. And when I was away, Joe was photographed with girls and he told me, "Listen, they were with my friends," and I said, "OK, fine."

Have you been able to forgive him for all this?

When he gets home, we'll see. We have to ride this whole thing out. He has to serve his time, come home and do amazing. And then I'll answer that question. But I am giving him a chance. That's why I'm standing by him.

One more thing  - on WWHL,  Andy asked if, since Teresa's mother died, fences have been mended with Wakiles and Rosie.  Before Melissa could answer, he said "Did they come around (to the house)" - Melissa said yes, they came around...but that was pretty much it.  She never really said if those fences have been mended. My sense was she wanted to move on.

I  can't remember the details, but I think it all started at the  infamous reunion when Teresa said something like her father was there for Kathy and Rosie when their father wasn't - something like that - and Kathy jumped all over and Rosie backstage started screaming "I'll kill her". And as ghoulina said, it did have something to do with them wanting to make up in front of the cameras. The Wakiles were very, very, thirsty and Teresa was their drink ticket.

Teresa said much worse, in my opinion.  She said her father was much more a father to them than their own father.  Considering their father is dead, she's a POS for saying that.  My father died when I was 17, and if a cousin claimed their father, no matter how much he helped me out, was more of a father to me than my own father, I would have pulled a Rosie.

No, there weren't.

Teresa is sharing the spotlight with her family right now with no problems.

Teresa is only sharing the spotlight with Melissa because she realized that she needed her on her team.  I think Teresa's refusal to allow Melissa to visit her in prison was very telling.

Not encouraging when you need earplugs, cliff notes to figure out whats going on and a cake is the best part of the episode.

At least OC has Archie.

Hey!  I love Archie, but Dolores's pit bull is pretty cool, and the little peanut is sweet.

Oh God Siggy is obnoxious. I like Dolores, but Siggy is just intolerable.

I am thrilled that Jaqueline is gone.

Theresa's husband referred to her as a c--t on national t.v. while likely on the phone with his mistress.  It is very possible that she waited for the go-ahead from her parents to get a divorce, but she'll get no judgment from me if she pulls the plug on her marriage.

Kathy and Rosie enjoyed every minute of Theresa's legal troubles and said nothing when Richie repeatedly trashed Theresa.

Theresa is a majorly flawed human being; however she still seems broken.  I enjoy seeing her and her brother get along as well as her and Melissa.

For some reason, I get the impression that Teresa's parents actually pushed her to stay with Joe.  The four parents were very close, and the Gorga parents showed preferential treatment to Joe over their own son.  I remember when Teresa's mom couldn't be bothered to give her a namesake a gift - she just shoved it at Joey and told him to give it to her.  I think it was inside a plastic grocery bag.

Teresa claims she was a virgin when she hooked up with Joe.  I've noticed that when women marry their first lover, there seems to be a stronger incentive to stay married, even in an unhappy household.  In no way am I defending Joe's cheating - he was an absolute scumbag during that period in their lives.  I did notice a big change in Joe when their financial troubles really hit.  You could see he treated Teresa better, seemed in love with her, and stayed with her while she was in prison.  I'm sure that makes it a little more difficult for Teresa to now divorce him while he's "away".  I wouldn't blame her for divorcing him either, but I would hate that she was proving Caroline right.

Siggy is a totaly drag but I LOVE her house 100x far and away above any real estate on this franchise.

I have never seen such ratchet hair color. Dark roots, mid color in the middle and light ends? Is this a thing?

Seeing Melissa and Theresa say that Danielle is great is a George Costanza parallel universe bizarro world to me that I will never adjust to.

I thought the cake throw was SUPER rude. That was a very special and expensive custom cake. Theresa SOOOO still has a table flip in her.

I'm sorry for Theresa's loss but it sure looked as tho they began the season playing the sympathy card for her.

Theresa was overpacking the boxes. They won't stack that way and it also risks the clothes being damaged or dirty.

I disagree.  Theresa's mother was part of the show from the beginning and she had sadly passed while the show was filming.  So the emotions were still very raw.  I thought BRAVO was very respectful in their tribute to her - and for once, was not exploitative.

Well, yeah, I'd take Siggy's house over any of the others in this franchise.  Don't get me wrong.  That doesn't mean I like 'her'.

I don't buy that Tre didn't know what was going on with Joe's financial dealings.  Tre loves to play dumb but she ain't that dumb.

The only reason that Mel and Tre are playing getting along is that they're both getting a paycheck.

And I'm probably alone in missing Jac and am enjoying that Danielle is back.  Tre and the rest of them are boring as heck.  I get Siggy being pissed off about the cake.  But...we don't need a whole season of it.  Then again, apparently, there's nothing else going on.  Delores has nothing going on and her house is smaller than mine (don't take me wrong).  Pigtail woman is well, pigtail woman.  Sorry, not into it.  What do we have left?

That house stood vacant in town for a little while.  When Siggy and her husband bought it they originally wanted to tear it down and rebuild.  But the town wouldn't let them - who knows why since the town has 10 new McMansions popping up every day.  Maybe their architect wasn't familiar with the town ordinances and when it got refused they decided to work with what they had?  Or maybe there was enough neighborhood pushback - it is across the street from a famous house on the historic register - that the plans didn't get approval.  Who knows.  But instead they did a major renovation on the house that already existed on the property and it is absolutely stunning - it looks like it should be sitting on a bluff overlooking the ocean.  But it is gorgeous.  Because all of the new construction looks the same when you have people do a restoration on an older home it just makes it stand out even more.  In a good way.

Why was Delores asking whose fault it was her son missed the deadline? If he can't apply in time he isn't ready. No shame in not going or waiting a year or two.

The only other thing that stood out to me was that Tre's eyelashes are about to rival Tammy Faye's. They are so heavy it ages her.

Those are my only thoughts on this show.

"When you factor in cost of living and commuting costs, Ross is one of the more expensive places in the world to get a degree. And Ross mints D.V.M.’s at a remarkable clip. Last year, it graduated 287 of them — triple the number of many American schools."

It seems like a rigorous program but you can buy your way in the door since it's a for-profit school now owned by DeVry.

I listened to her tone and the spacing of her words. She didn't even take a breath between "coffee" and thank-you" and then look away and immediately continue her conversation with the other women. The "thank-you" was totally dismissive and in that small (throw away) sentence I could see that she is on a high horse and must treat many people in a very condescending manner.

Sometimes it is not the overt actions of a person that indicates a demeanor, but the subtle things. Her attitude must have resulted in saliva being her topping in many restaurants. I live in that area and I know that deal. I once saw that type condescendingly place an order in a Panera, and the sandwich maker turned with her dish in his hand and did who knows what.

We can agree to disagree on this minor point.

Finally got around to watching this.

Siggy , wow I can't believe I enjoyed her so much last season. Not so much this episode. WTH  was wrong with her at the restaurant in boca ,screaming and waving like a lunatic. And yet she embarrassed about the cake throwing?  So, this cake thing is going be a story all season?  Smh.

The beginning about Teresa's mom dying made me so sad. It's never easy to lose a parent.

Teresa is angry at Joe because she missed out on her mom's life for a year . I understand that they were responsible but Teresa is mourning , and anger is part of it. I personally think deep in her heart she knows joe was cheating. And now with her mom gone, she's sad and angry  and her truth about joe is coming out.

I like Teresa and Melissa as friends.

Danielle creeps me out. But if Teresa and Melissa are playing nice with her , i guess it might be interesting. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Lol.

I'm holding my opinion about the new woman.

Delores and her ex living together meh...if it works for them.

After witnessing Bow-gate , I cannot helpbut wonder what Heather D from OC would have handled the cake throwing. I thought it was obnoxious   If you want to throw cake at your own house, that’s one thing    I feel badly for those who have to clean it up    Soggy is annoying, but it was in poor taste to treat her “gift” like that

I am not surprised that T cannot accept any blame for her criminal financial behavior.  I still see her as a narcissistic harpy, but the segment about her mother was heartbreaking.

I know I’m among only a handful of people who like Jac, but I miss her not on the show.  Still think Danielle is a viper so she should get along with T really well.

So how many people will Teresa blame for her negotiated plea?  So far it is the BK attorney, Jacqueline, the show and now Joe.  I read the transcripts and Teresa was very surly regarding her finances.  I have seen the ratings -there is a reason RONJ is now not a contender and it all has to do with making Teresa the focus.  I feel bad she lost her mom.  I think she should feel guilty that she committed crimes and lost  a year out of her mother's life spending time with her and that is what happens when you commit a crimes-your freedoms are limited.  It didn't cut down on her committed going to see Joe every weekend.  New Jersey has a population of almost 9 million people I think the franchise could do better than focusing on Teresa Giudice.  To me. people like Teresa and Vicki Gunvalson have lowered the RH franchise.  The ratings show the lack of interest and it is time for Bravo to catch on.

What I paid attention to is these low life scags throwing cake at a nice restaurant.  I think they long for the days when Teresa could upend a table in some low rent place and cause havoc.

I don't like siggy either, some good qualities but she's too extra, too on all the time, too loud and overbearing

That said, I have to say I think you're reading an awful lot into someone ordering coffee while talking to her friends.  She was distracted because she was otherwise engaged, she ordered it and said thank you.  Her tone and the spacing of her words? Based on that you've constructed a whole character assassination of this woman and others of "that type" from "that area".  Hmmmm what can you mean

Woah Siggy!  She is full on delusional and obnoxious right out of the gate this time!  Who da fuq is paying money for her 'inspirational' life advice?!? It's weird they had so much of her husband this episode, last season I couldn't  pick him out of a lineup.   But it's time for that time tested RH trope "my husband thinks I work too much".

Margaret and her ghastly pigtails rubbed me wrong -but if she can bring Siggy to heel, all is forgiven.

Dolores and her new ass implants wondering who dropped the ball on her himbo son not bothering to apply to college.  There is something creepy about the "Daddy's home (after 18 years)!" development.  So last season we learned that Frank had been supporting Dolores for years.   Now right in time for the new season filming he is moving into her spare bedroom because of a supposed spat with his girlfriend? So fake.   The implication that the son is scared of him is creepy too.

Sad about Mrs Gorga.   It always seemed Mr Gorga was frailer and more likely to go first.    Didn't see it coming that Tre would turn on Joe Giudice while he was "away" but I guess because he is in for almost 4 years she's got to churn through several permutations and storylines.   Wonder if Joe is watching in the penitentiary?

Danielle seems perkier than she used to be.

Melissa has become my fave in this freak show.

I will tell you what I mean. Entitled women (and men) are very subtle in the way they give themselves elevated status in even the most minor situations. I grew up on Long Island and this type of behavior was prevalent in restaurants and in stores.

So "the type" means "rich" women and "the area" means the area of homes worth a million dollars.

I have seen it, grew up around it, my own mother acted that way, her friends acted that way.... and now I have been around women who continue to act like this. I believe the expression is "act like their shit doesn't stink."

I did not construct a "whole character assassination" on Siggy. It was about her behavior in that moment and I referenced other women who act just like that. I am not going to engage in a debate about it.

Dolores reminding her son multiple times to not anger her “husband” was throwing all kinds of red flags.  Is he going to attack the boy?  Has there been physical abuse?  And after saying that multiple times, she is going to have the “husband” talk to the son about not getting his college applications in on time.  Yeah, that should end well.  She really seems to be a woman who is staying with an abusive asshole because she and her children are financially dependent.  She really sounds like she wants to get back together with him.  We really don’t need a domestic abuse storyline.

Then we have relationship guru Siggy explaining that her husband is also a controlling jackhole.  I am sure people coming to Siggy’s events are only there for the housewife viewing.  If we didn’t already know her skillset was 100% meaningless platitudes, seeing how terrible her marriage is seals the deal.

They have replaced Easter Island head Jac with Madame the Puppet face Danielle.  How much has she done to her face?  If you hug her, be careful.  Those cheekbones could take an eye out.  She looks pointy and frozen.

It looks like they are trying to bring back the “magic” of the table flipping, hair pulling, BS crazy antics of the past.  We’ll see what we get.  I just wish my DVR had a special filter to automatically lower sound by half only for Siggy, aka the most talented woman in the world.

I meant at 19 or 20 or so. It is not surprising to me that even--maybe especially--great students might want a break of more than two months before starting all over at higher stakes. Make some cash (you'll need it!), do a few things you won't be able to once the real studying begins, work on a portfolio (if you're a visual-arts type...and also make money; you'll really, really need it), and maybe even get the pre-req classes out of the way online (not that I could have done that last one way back when). Most of all, IMO, taking that time to really determine if you even want the major you think you want. Because--surprise!--after spending an unholy amount of dough at a Philly art school, I found out that I most certainly did not!

My problem with her is the way she was portrayed as some sort of a victim and jail just happened to her.  She took out bullshit loans with her husband, got busted.  I truly believe that Joe, knowing Teresa is now their bread and butter decided to be her fall guy so she could continue to play the victim and live off of Bravo's checks.

That said, I adore Melania!  And all her girls.  Despite it all, they seem to do great kids with all they have gone through. I feel sorry for them, but they appeared to be well loved.

I agree 100%.  College and trade schools are very expensive.  Why waste the time and money when the student is so young and has no idea what they want to do with their lives.  There is nothing wrong with a high school graduate taking a few years to figure out who they are and what they want in life.  The important thing is that their parents don't enable them to do nothing and continue to support them financially.  Working a few "lower level low pay" jobs can be character building and help a young adult learn how hard it is to support yourself without an education, so when they do go back to school they will take it seriously and not major in partying.

Siggy last year on the reunion, but I always thought it was less about not wanting to go to Israel and more about not wanting to go into the Israeli army, which is mandatory for men and women after graduation.

Hope Tre and Melissa continue to get along. The in-family fighting is too real for me, and I liked that they came together when the chips were really down last year.

I hope Danielle is up for this. I always thought she was too fragile and troubled for these shenanigans.  In the past it felt to me like they were exploiting a truly mentally unwell person.

Antonia's passing was shocking.  I don't know why I find it so surprising when the cause of death is pneumonia.  It sounds stupid to say but I'm like what? We can't antibiotic the hell outta that by now?  67, you just really don't think you're gonna lose your mom when she's that young.   I may not watch this franchise often enough to have observed the senior Gorga, so forgive me if this seems particularly shitty but the guy looked like he was made of wax.  I never saw him so much as ever glance at his wife, nevermind miss her.  If I hadn't seen him crying I really would've thought it an exaggeration.

I was conflicted by several things with this premiere.   One of which was that I love cake, but I hate fondant.  So for the fact that it was dressed in edible pastry gum, yeah throw that bitch in the garbage.   The conundrum was you don't trash a thing someone was kind and thoughtful enough to have made especially for you.   I've got a jewelry box full of 1st-6th grade macaroni bracelets to prove it.   I get its food fight advantages, but where I'm from and how we grew up, wasting food intentionally is abhorrent.  That's just never gonna be funny to me.  Second, the reason I probably can't hate Siggy is that she's the only one who went to go clean it up.  I'm sure it was part hurt feelings but the other part seemed like:  the mom in me won't let me sit here looking at your dumb ass make a mess and act like it doesn't bother me.  (sidebar, this is actually why, though I love the Little Couple, I can't watch regularly, ya'll are old enough to sing the clean up song).  Anyway, it may cancel out (for me) the way she spoke to the wait staff.  I didn't find it intentionally rude as much as distracted.  Kinda:  I have ADD and you're in the way of the next thing I want to say before I forget it, so yes, yes, coffeeokaybacktowhatIwassaying.    The way that (is his name Bobby? Billy?) the tall bald waiter greeted her makes me believe she's (generally) not an asshole to servers.

Speaking of the restaurant - um, what person living within 25 miles of Manhattan/Brooklyn chooses steak as their specialty meal in Florida?  lol!

Frank:  Daddy's hoooooome.......

Delores:  Frank's moving back in because of some ongoing unresolvable issue between he and his girlfriend.

'damo:  Bitch you.  You're the unresolvable issue with your pretending you're not still fucking your ex, inappropriate, no boundaries having ass.

Delores:  Anybody I'm in a relationship with has to accept that Frank will always be a part of my life.

'damo:  Said not one of your future ex boyfriends ever.   I used to really fugg with you Delores, but this here?  You don't make any sense.  At.  All.

Danielle hoping a rekindling with Teresa will bring her closer to getting an apology.   Lawd.  I died a little bit.   Yeah, this is gonna end well.

@Mindthinkr  I can see Margaret as Betsey Johnson lol, but she described herself as a Lily Pulitzer on crack.  I only know who that is because I love (but don't own) her shirt dresses.  I just heard it -if I did buy one, I could say I have a Pulitzer.  lol. don't mind me.

When she said out loud (at the restaurant) she's (Siggy) gonna have to take it down a notch...then later about the cake (and again Siggy) calm the fuck down, I was like, pigtails and all, I like her.  I patted the seat next to me and said Maggie come sit by me boo, you way too rationale to last any length of time with these heffas.               How Much of a Nonmotherfuckin Factor Jacqueline Laurita's Absence was, by Zaldamo Wilder:  until reading here I didn't even realize that there'd been a replacement.  I saw Margaret had a hw tagline and I was like, oh they got a new girl?  Cool. Lol.

That story Teresa told about her telling Joe Melissa had danced with some dude the whole night of her bachelorette party and as a result they didn't talk for 3 weeks?   Fuck you and fuck your whole fucked up crazy family, I'm neither ugly nor desperate, the wedding is off.    Shiiiiiyeeeit even if she had, and....?    Just as I'm (probably*) never gonna quit Siggy, I will never warm to Teresa for shit like:

Spoiler

in the previews, she says something that makes her brother respond with "watch your mouth that's my wife"  to which Tree says "she's not a (real?) Gorga, she's only a Gorga by marriage"   It really doesn't matter what Melissa ever does or says, Teresa will always be that piece of shit who wants her to look like the outsider.....12 damn years later.    Melissa then leaves wherever this conversation is taking place.   She is a far FAR better woman than I could ever be, for real.  My sister in law could get and stay all the way out my life,                                                                                                                                      tenor.gif?itemid=4932175

Am I imaging things or didn't Siggy upend her own glass of red wine onto the table when all the other women were saying her husband was too controlling? The pigtail lady said something like if that got on my outfit I would have lost it. So Siggy can miss me with her manners outrage.

Lol!  good recall.  Nutty action for sure, but I wasn't concentrating on whatever Emily Post outrage she had.  My comment was more of a:  I don't see the only somebody who went and picked up mess that the rest of them seemed perfectly content to leave for *the help* to clean as someone who's also rude to the wait staff.

Just realized I typed an asterisk above with no key lol.   (probably*)

*reserve the right to rescind as the season progresses.

yeah because what restaurant, out of the 100s that must be in Boca, could use national tv exposure.

I am usually the last person to jump on allegations like that. And last year I didn't have any issues with Frank and Dolores (as much as that kind of arrangement wouldn't work for me). But yea, the way she kept talking about Frankie being scared and saying she wouldn't be there to "protect" him was really weird. It sent up red flags for me as well.

I came on here to post the exact same thing.

I'm trying to figure out what is so fucking special about her.  Loud mouth, okay face, not bad body (not sure I believe it wasn't surgically enhanced), dresses and sounds like the typical tacky AF Jersyian (I mean what you think of stereotypical).  An aging sex doll at most who looks ridiculous.  And people are hanging on her every word for nuggets of gold like, "Know your worth"?

Also, who really needs to hear someone who is just spitting out trite mantras?  Who is inspired by that?

dear god! it has to be said. it is very fucking easy to spew inspiration and give life advice and all that bull shit when you are filthy rich. especially in this country as it is right now. who friggin cares!  this is crap talk for the 1% or those who have enough credit to think they are.  i thought i liked her too but i don't like any of them. i have had the unfortunate experience to be around this type in the past. shallow to say the least, uninformed, inarticulate, me me me.

i hate these women but i can't stop watching. i hate-watch the same way i do house hunters!

Just watched this episode, as I was away. I'm glad NJ is back, and I think it will be a good season. At least I hope so because i can't with Dallas and the OC - I do watch OC sometimes, out of boredom, but really don't care for it much, especially Vicky, ugh. #1 most hated hw in my book.

I have always liked Tre. There, I admit it. Not saying that I think everything she does is right, but I admire that she stays strong and does what she has to to keep her family going. In season one, I never would have thought her capable to do all that she does. She seems to learn from her experiences, somewhat, and tries to put a positive spin on what's happening in her life. I don't know why people fault her for this. And I love her kids. I'm also hoping that she and Melissa keep this love fest going. Did not enjoy the seasons where they were fighting. Feeling so bad for her Joe and Dad at the loss of her Mom.

So glad Jac is gone. She is a toxic person and if I never see her or Rosie and Cathie and her disgusting husband again, well Yay!

Siggy is seriously annoying. Not quite at the Vicky level yet, but I have to FF her scenes. Dolores needs a reality check, but I'm OK with her. What will Danielle bring? The woman really sceeves me out. I get that she's back to stir up shit, but everything about her is just off - in a scary way. Always felt bad for her kids.
