I'm really enjoying this show. I've had a huge crush on Dylan McDermott since I saw Steel Magnolias.

I think my fave character is stripper chick. I should probably learn her name. lol

I really could do without Bernard though. He's the weak link for me.

Definitely heard all the "Dylan McDermott and Dermot Mulroney are the same people" jokes, so seeing Dermot as Captain Steve was pretty fun.  Both of them seem to be having fun play off one another.  Wasn't expecting the Josh Duhamel cameo at the end though.  IMDB has Eric Dane listed for some reason, but I'm pretty sure that was Duhamel.

Artem/Peter Stormare and Nichole/friendly stripper made me actually like a storyline involving British dude, so they're already in contention for being the best things about this show.

Still liking Ronnie.  Kim Matula really is shining in the role.

Cute show that's coming along. Smart to have Colin in a plot with Artem and Nichole to mix things up in the third episode.

Bernard willing to do the Dirty Dancing lift on the plane with Dave cracked me up. There is no ceiling on a plane to be lifting up into but Bernard was totally down!

We already have Dave's three ex-wives to cast for who obviously all will be a hoot. Let the celebrity casting begin.

Hope they keep up the running gag of famous actors in cameos as rival pilots. They could have some fun gets.  I really would love to see Dave in competition with a female pilot that ends up in a love connection.

Maybe I was just in a good mood but this is the first one I really laughed at. Loved the captain getting advice on asking out the control tower operator and then broadcasting all over the cabin. Loved the fiance making a scene on the airplane and pointing to Ronnie when the air marshal asked who told her he was married. Loved the running gag of the airline charging for everything from being able to recline your seat to using the restroom, and then having all the card swipers removed because everyone got their identities stolen. The visual of Bernard trying to administer a flu shot and stabbing that guy in the neck was hilarious.

That was an nice extra surprise laugh at the end of the show.  I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything.

Yay I knew I recognised the voice. 4 episodes in and I’m quite enjoying the show. The cast gets pretty nicely and Dylan McDermott is very funny as Captain Dave.

Oh, Ronnie!  This is why getting involved in stuff you don't know the full story about always ends up being a bad idea in comedy land!  Did love seeing Brian Van Holt as the air marshal.

Dave getting dating advice from Artem and Nichole was hilarious.  Those two really are becoming the surprising MVPs of each episode.  I recognized Gwen's voice from somewhere, so I'm not surprised that it was Julie Bowen.  Reggie Lee as her supervisor was a pleasant surprise.

Bernard actually made me laugh a few times, so that's progress.

It's been a while since I flown, but I really wouldn't be surprised if airlines start charging for bathrooms and pillows soon.

This show is surprisingly fun to watch. I agree that not all the jokes land, but those that do land are awesome, and there's been some inspired bits of physical comedy. I also agree that, even though Dylan McD is the most famous cast member (and the funniest character, in my opinion), it's a good thing that he's not technically the lead. Much as Dylan McD is nailing it, and much as I love all of his scenes, this type of character works far better, and is far more endearing, in smaller doses. I like the show's sense of humor, I like the potential for fun stunt casting (already used to great effect), I like all the characters (I agree that especially Artem and the stripper are always a treat) and I love the relatively original setting. I'm definitely watching the entire season, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it, because even just 4 episodes in, you can see the cast and the show gelling more and more with each week. Sure, this isn't some masterpiece, but it's a lot of fun, and that's all I require from a sitcom. Overall, a very pleasant surprise this season.

Captain Dave popping up between the Sky Marshall and his girlfriend, saying something like, "I have a date tonight as well', made me laugh and laugh.

I literally had to rewind and watch that again. So funny.

I just watched the first four episodes today and I'm glad I watched them all at the same time because I think each episode was better than the one before. Though the one with Dermot Mulroney is my favorite so far just for the meta-ness of his casting. I try not to judge the first few episodes of a new comedy too harshly because I remember how good Parks and Rec got after it's not great first season.

I hope the show is better to Ed Weeks than the Mindy Project was; I really like him as an actor.

I enjoyed last night's episode; it was, as usual, silly, but the silliness was so much fun. Alan playing with Colin's kid (although I wish they'd back off on Colin's uptightness a little), Captain Dave lying on the floor of the plane asking the smell to just take him, Ronnie yelling at the guy who needed to get his briefcase to LA by 5:00...I like the way they manage to get little character bits in, like Bernard propping up Dave, Ronnie giving up her Gonz. The writing is really coming together.

Last night also made up my mind for me that my favorite two characters are Artem and Nichole, as a team. The actors have made the characters so interesting, and they play off each other so well. When the two of them are together onscreen, I always laugh.

No they never found the smell, and they never told us what was in the briefcase, so that was kind of frustrating. I expected payoff for those gags and didn't get them.

I did love the fact that there was an entire pile of teddy bears stuffed with cocaine in the TSA vault. Not the least bit likely in real life, but hilarious nonetheless.

But my favorite line was from Artem, explaining how he was teaching Nicole poker the same way you "throw a baby in the water when you teach to swim . . . or get rid of."

I want to know what airport that's supposed to be. Clearly it cannot be LAX, it looks so rinky-dink. Are there smaller airports in LA that service cheap flights? I'm not aware of any.

Burbank. It pretty much only flies to Vegas, Denver and NorCal. And it's almost all Southwest flights which is what I think Jackpot Airlines is ripping off

Artem: “Now I will whip out my deck and teach you how to play with it”.

Right after Ronnie said that British people say things weird Colin says that he had the bear while Nate was finishing his Aubergine Parmesan. :)

Bernard: “I can use your help. The smell is getting stronger...and smarter”.

It’s definitely getting better.

Hmm. But is Burbank technically in LA? I know it's in LA county but it's a city in it's own right. Makes the show's title "LA to Vegas" kind of a stretch if they're flying out of Burbank.

It's really splitting hairs at this point. Burbank is still an LA airport, serving LA county and it's not like the show is titled LAX-LAS. The validity of the airport is really nothing compared to all of the unbelievable plots that happen on this show

They were not in LA last night.  They were in Vegas heading back on Sunday.  They always show us the flight number, day, and destination when they are boarding.   Also, remember that the briefcase needed to be in LA by 5pm.

Artem: "All those hours I could have been with my six daughters. I  live for those beautiful 11 eyes." Capt. Dave has only nine toes. Someone on the writing staff likes missing body parts.

Even Bernard's growing on me. I hope they make the mystery of his true age a running joke.

I liked Alan checking for his nose after the little boy said, "Got your nose!"

While that's certainly true it's also sort of a cop-out. Everyone knows what hell the airport experience has become. If this show were set in the 1970s the airport set might look more realistic.

Probably the strongest episode yet.  Even the characters I usually don't care for (Bernard and Colin) actually had moments that made me laugh.

That said, I still continue to surprisingly enjoy Artem and Nichole the most.  Their interactions are hilarious, and their relationship is goofy, but bizarrely sweet at times.  Peter Storemare and Olivia Macklin are great together.

Captain Dave is totally someone who would think he's actually got a lot of friends and all of the "underlings" love him, but he's really just pissing everyone off with his attitude.  Dylan McDermott was apparently born for this role.

Ronnie mixing up how you treat kids and dogs was hilarious.  As was her face after she gave away her special elephant, and then Colin pointed out she could taken any of the animals from the TSA.  Kim Matula really was a great find for this show.

The husband and I binge-watched five episodes and were laughing out loud throughout.  To me, one of the funniest gags is the pair of dice hanging up by the plane's "dashboard."

Love Dermot Mulroney/Dylan McDermott.  Great to see that both actors have a good sense of humor about always getting confused by fans.

Anything with Peter Stormare is a win for me.  We will keep watching.

p.s. I used to work as a stewardess on United Airlines and they get a lot of things right.

I first learned of the Mulroney/McDermott thing from the SNL game show skit, since I've seen almost nothing with them.

Colin may seem boring, but I think you need a character like him that is mostly normal for all of the wacky characters to play off of.  He's not the perfect straight man, but I think the writing can be tweaked.  This doesn't feel like a show that requires deep character arcs, but his trajectory should be someone who grows to become less uptight due to his interaction with the more impulsive Ronnie.

According to Wikipedia, the end of one of the runways extends into the actual city of Los Angeles.

I've flown into Burbank. It's convenient for a bunch of things, and it's a lot smaller and more manageable than LAX. If Newark, in another *state*, can be a "New York airport", BUR can certainly be an LA airport.

So far I love this show. Just wacky enough for me. But I feel like it isn't going to last. Just not that funny or memorable an can't see how they can make the premise last.

Yeah, they are kind of limited with just the airplane as the set. Of course, they could go to their characters home life but the premise of the show is LA to Vegas.

It's a work place drama like many other that don't stray from the main set (Superstore, The Office, Veep, etc come to mind). But they did go to the strip club for the kiddie birthday and there are other opportunities. Like if the planes are grounded and they all get put up in a craptastic casino hotel off the strip.

I'm not sure it would make much sense to go to anyone's house. It would be a stretch for the crew to be invited to a passenger's home. And flight crew are pretty notorious for not owning much. Often they bunk with people on opposite schedules to save money since they're rarely home.

True. To tell you the truth I only saw this show once. It was cute but there wasn't much to it and I couldn't see this show lasting a season or two.

Okay, so I just watched the first three episodes of this series out of sheer boredom---and now I wanna know why *more* people aren't watching this show, because it's such a goofy premise and so stupidly funny! How do we live in a world where bile like "Two And a Half-Men" is successful for so many seasons yet this barely seems to be holding on?!

I generally don't laugh at sitcoms(("Golden Girls" is the only show that can get genuine laugher out of me)), but this one has actually made me giggle and snort repeatedly; you can tell the team from "Anchorman" is behind this because it's got the same kind of ridiculously silly humor and characters.

Speaking of characters, who knew Dylan McDermott could play such a hilarious sleazeball? He's just like Ron Burgundy became a pilot, only with twice the smarminess---his line delivery just tickled me quite a few times, like when he was knocking on the airline bathroom door grossly asking, "You two bangin' in there?" Or when he was busting out those "mordetai" attack moves behind the dude on the plane in the first episode...and then whoever convinced Dulmert Mulroney to come play his rival pilot was a casting genius!!

The lead actress is also pretty great and I honestly don't mind the token swishy gay guy and his stereotypical wisecracks. Ditto the awkward co-pilot. The gal playing the lead dancer at Grapefruits is pretty damned awesome---love her earnestly innocent delivery as she describes her other dancers and the hilarious hijinks found all around Grapefruits(("she had super gonnorea but she can take it!")). I'm not as sold on the uptight British dude and the foreign gambler, but I'm sure I'll warm up to them in time.

Hope this show gets the love it deserves, but I'm not so sure yet...reminds me of yet another sadly short-lived but stupidly silly sitcom I fell in love with as a kid in the 80's, "Sledgehammer"...I guess my kind of goofy potty humor isn't sophisticated enough for most viewers!

The big bang theory got a big boost by CBS playing it over and over again on different nights. I hope Fox does that.  I understand they are and that is how I caught it one night and it cracked me up.

They need to do a marathon or something on FX

Dave: What the hell are you doing on my plane?

Steve: It’s not your plane, your name isn’t Dave Jackpot.

Dave: It is on several dating websites.

That was the funniest part to me. This episode just seemed off, I don’t know if it was the dialogue or the delivery but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the previous one.

He really is well suited to this part. He's a real natural with comedy.

I loved Captain Steve saying he shaved off his mustache because he didn't deserve one, then buried it in the back yard . . . next to his father.

Not as strong as the past few episodes, but I still get a kick out of the Dave/Steve rivalry.  Dylan McDermott and Dermot Mulroney seem to be having the time of their lives in those scenes.  And Mulroney really does seem to be hitting the gym, lately!

Artem being a pediatric dentist was totally unexpected, but amusing.  Still love him and Nichole together.

Ronnie/Kim Matula really is a great lead for this show.

Think my favorite part was Dave actually yelling "Punch!  Punch!" every time he threw a punch.

That was the funniest joke of night.. someplace in the back of your head your thinking.. no no.. they wouldn't and he comes out with his ROONNNNIEEEE and she is like NOPE.  Cut to credits.

But last night didn't make me laugh that hard and I thought it was weird that they had Ed Week's economics professor giving fighting advice as he wasn't a natural for that and doesn't he want to see his kid?
