Ok, I saw the episode, and Jeana doesn't look as good as I thought from photos, but not bad IMO.  It looks like her jaw is tighter and the wart seems to be gone.  If she would get rid of the 5lbs of extensions and little girl bangs, that would help a lot.

lizzie still looks like a male Cuban Knight Anole.  Gretchen looks so fussy and dated.   She's always aged herself with that '80's hair and fat too much makeup.

vicki looks like a monster from one of those early 2000's J horror movies.  

Is it my TV, or did Shannons hair have a pink cast?  All that money, and the hair looks like a trailer park queens .   The one tone light blond hair is so aging on all of them, but especially Vicki.  My god, the woman is horrifying.  

I love how Eddie is poking fun at the gay speculation.  I just love Eddie in general.  

David looks like a serial killer, I am sorry to say.  The Beador scenes have become torture porn.   

Peggy and Dicko are such losers.  I don't care how much money they have.  They are boring, lame, and her hair makes me angry.  Put a damn hand tied remy lace front on while you're filming.  That shit is so dry you could put poor Dicko's eye out with it.   All these wealthy and well to do women, and such awful hair.   Go see Guy Tang, you crusty looking crones.

I felt so vicariously embarrassed watching Shannon and David: Couch Confrontation.   Really, with her daughters in the next room making her a special birthday dinner and decorating her birthday cake, she wanted to have a huge emotional discussion right then with David about why their marriage sucks?  And I agree with earlier comments that it seems their marriage was rocky road WAY before they started on RHOC. 

When Shannon got up for her birthday dinner and her three lovely and healthy daughters were there and she's in this beautiful beachside mansion it really was striking how determined she is to be miserable.  It's pretty messed up.   

Team Meghan all the way--Lydia is the worst.   The Jim mistress rumor seems to have hit Meghan hard and I wouldn't be surprised if where there is smoke there is fire.   Meghan does seem like a rather practical person though and I think if she ends up divorced she would deal with it well -_ Jim is her second husband, right?

Everything Peggy-related must go.   Detest more each episode. 

Vickis sister-- much prettier than Vicki.  

The Eddie rumor is so lame and who cares if it's true.   Of all the relationships on the show Eddie and Tamra are the most normal and down to earth  and Eddie seems like a cool and likable dude.   I guess this is Vicki's retaliation for Brooks who was the love of her life as SAD as that is!

I don't know that I'd say "popular."  Ubiquitous, maybe?  Most major cities have several; they come and go.   David Spade's mom lived in my city a couple of decades ago and "published" one.

As a fine purveyor of wildly incorrect blind items, supposedly he did gay porn back in the day.  Which many straight men do for the money, so it means nothing about his sexuality if he did the porn.

What was the line?  I loved how everyone ignored Vicki.  I know it was set up but it was so perfect. I don't think that she was aware they set it up that way for her response.

I think that when people get to this point in plastic surgery, they no longer see what everyone else sees.  They see an idealized version of themselves in their minds and they physically cannot see what others do.  I think Jeana thinks she has plump cheeks like she used to, with her eyes now turning up at the corners instead of drooping from age.  Of course you get people who realize they fucked up, but I don't think Jeana has.

I think that dress either needed to be 2 inches longer to look like a dress, or to be tailored better so that it nips in more at the waist.  The extra length is not because I think she's got the biggest thighs ever (really?  watch My 600 pound life for abnormally fat people) but she's tall and the dress just hit her at an unfortunate length. Brianna's body is everywhere these days, in the US and out of the US.   I don't think that Brianna's mental image of herself matches her relatively new to her body shape.  It takes time for that to happen, and for people to hit the sweet spot of what looks really attractive on them when their bodies change.

Lol! I have watched My 600 Pound life but those folks are usually in Muumuus (sorry for the incorrect spelling!) and not wearing mini skirts. 

However, I give ANYONE credit for being comfortable in their current body shape/size and to wear whatever they want. Obviously Ryan also thought she looked hot and that's all that matters.

Someone needs to start an OC charter of Brett Micheals impersonators.  Shannon needs a hobby.  I mean, dang old rich woman with kids who no longer need round the clock supervision, and not dependent on a 9 to 5.   She has the time and funds to do something, even if it's joining one of those groups who are instructed to paint the same thing, like a shark for instance.  My guess is that she's obsessively keeping tabs in David round the clock.

Those BMI. charts are just suggested, if everything is average. At 88 lbs for my height I'm borderline heavyweight! Anyone who's seen me would say I'm too thin. You can't pigeon hole everyone into those charts. Bone structures differ. They do make a difference. Yes, I think Shannon would look and feel a bit better if she lost a bit of weight but it won't cure the symptoms (unhappiness) that probably caused the weight gain in the first place. 

I just want to see Shannon happy. I think she's much too involved medically as it gives her attention and a purpose or reason to keep exploring how to mend her body. She's looking to fix her outside. She needs to begin on her insides (psyche).

You are correct-popular was a poor choice of words.  They do come and go.  I just don't see how Nobleman makes money.  The audience is pretty slim.  http://noblemanmagazine.com/advertise/  Somehow I don't find Doug, Diko or Eddie corner the OC market on intelligence.  I just find Lydia so annoying and unimaginative.

If Lydia began a magazine that featured fairy dust and unicorns geared for little girls she might make a success out of it. At their young ages, Lydia might be interesting. I'm sure with the correct marketing it could out sell Nobleman.

Me no lookey at charts or get on a scale. By following this simple plan, I stay focused and pleased with who I am on the inside. However, I do care about my weight for health reasons and I know when I'm gaining weight by how my clothes fit. 

Shannon and David...why are they airing their REAL dirty laundry (infidelity, insecurity, putting their  young children on this crapfest of a show etc) ? I just don't get it. If, on the other hand, Tamra married him knowing he was gay or bi and they have an arrangement where she is ok with it, then the topic should be off the table on this show. But we don't really know, do we? Yeah, yeah, I know. Nobody cares.

I will say, if Tamra married a gay man knowingly (and for love/companionship) I would think better of her (which I know sounds insane to a lot of people, but it would indicate a level of acceptance I don't currently credit her with having.)

If he was/is bisexual and never discussed this with T-Balls (tamra) then it is so wrong of him (not discussing it) with her.

You got me.  I draw the line at insects & reptiles.  Living in Hawaii gave me a tolerance to house gekkos, but those effing cockroaches?  Were downright deplorable.  I am also occasionally angry at invading ants.  Chemical free zone here at the deplorable casa .... Jeff Lewis was on WWHL recently and said that just because someone sleeps with someone of the same sex doesn't mean the person is gay.  He was in the lady pond early on but ultimately decided men were his thing.  He also said he knew it was coming.

I think there is a spectrum with this kind of thing.  Some are strictly on one side or the other and others are somewhere in between.  Could be Eddie is close to the middle somehow.

I haven't always followed along with Tamra's life so this may have been discussed at some point, but from what I've seen, Tamra has only half-heartedly shrugged off the rumors.  Plus, it sounds like the social scene where she is at is small and I'd wager she has not only heard the rumors herself but also discussed them with Eddie.  If the rumors have an element of truth to them, she and Eddie have things worked out just fine and they know the scoop.  Whatever it is.  Tamra is no fool.  She likely knows Eddie's history and is fine with whereever he is on the sexual spectrum.

The rumors about Eddie have been speculated about on blog sites since he/Tamra started dating but they have never been discussed on camera. I still like Peggy. 

I view her way differently having had Armenian friends throughout my life - here in Los Angeles.   I don't care how long she has been here and speaking English, I totally get her not knowing a lot of American colloquialisms or sayings and I don't think it makes her "stupid" as some of you want to peg her. Here's why: 

1. From my experience, Armenians tend to stick to their own kind. I doubt she has any strong presence of non-Armenians in her normal day-to-day home, family & friends life.

With my Armenian friends, when I was with them at their homes or with their other friends (not one-on-one)  I heard so much of their language. They would rather teach me the words than have to keep switching to English.  So much so, that now, almost 2 decades later, I can still speak a lot of Armenian! 

2. Armenians speak Armenian as their first preference, especially if they were not born in the US. Even if they are fluent in any other language. 

3. If you and your entire family speak another language - and you, as the mother in that family prefer to speak that language - you can only imagine that the primary language spoken in their household is Armenian.

4. She's older, so back when she was in college, etc - we didn't speak so casually in formal settings. You weren't throwing slang around at work and in emails like we do today, for example. 

So now you're speaking Armenian in your home life, with your friends and colleagues (because they're all probably Armenian), etc  - why would you know common sayings if you never use them in your native tongue! 

You can see that her husband, running a company, totally is around non-Armenians in his daily work life. Thus, he has picked up sayings and phrases through the years.   I can completely believe that 99% of the time in their house they are speaking Armenian, and they are ONLY speaking English while Bravo cameras are filming. Except the kids. I bet the kids speak to their parents in Armenian and speak English all other times. 

 

If I take anything away from Peggys clips it's that they were desperately trying to add some diversity to the OC cast and clearly none of them know anything about Peggy or had known her prior (that magazine connection with Lydia is totally bogus). I like Peggy, i just wish she had a real connection to someone else in the cast because I think she won't make it to another season without that.

Thanks dosodog!  I should add that I work from home and have tremendous flexibility.  If I worked in a 9-5 job with 1-2 hours of drive time a day, it would be a far harder and a much longer process.  

To hit the "healthy" mark in the chart above I have around 45 lb to go.  I'm trying to do this thing quickly because my job situation my change.  My goal was to be where I wanted to be by the end of the year.  I'm about 6 weeks behind schedule (mostly because of an illness) but assuming no craziness on the home front, I'll be close by then.

You and I are on similar paths!  I'm 10 pounds away from being overweight.   More importantly  (for me) is that my A1c levels dropped out of diabetes range.  

My exercise is walking Doso at least 45 minutes a day and dancing.  I've got an Alexa so I just shout out songs and shake it.

But giving up CocaCola?  And really trying to keep my sugar levels down to 26 grams a day, I think that's where my big difference is.

EVERYTHING has sugar in it. It was hard, but 6 weeks in, I found my groove.

Small confession.....not too long ago I had a RH Dance Party.  Don't be tardy to the party, Money can't buy you class (oof that was bad and I love me some Luann! ), Miss Ericka Jayne, Scrubs because I have no clue to Kandi as a singer, Poison Arrow. 

It was cheesy and fun all at the same time.

I'm really excited for you Jextella because you have been working hard and pushing through the challenges to change habits.  I really get  and understand your accomplishments!

Not sure about that; I remember plenty of slang floating around in the nineties (da bomb, As if! Yadda, yadda, yadda, open up a can of whoopass, Schwing!)  but even conceding the point about work (water cooler talk!) slang was everywhere in pop culture.  So it would be pretty hard for Peggy to consume any of it (television, music, movies, radio, deejays, entertainment news, theatre, books, comics,  Glamour/Elle/etc magazines) without picking up slang. And  even if I didn't understand that exact turn of phrase,  I would recognize it AS a turn of phrase.  So -- to me -- she's either faking, or dumber than a box of rocks ("But why is there a box? Are they like pop rocks? Can I eat them? Is life like a box of dumb rocks?")

It was cheesy and fun all at the same time.

I'm really excited for you Jextella because you have been working hard and pushing through the challenges to change habits.  I really get  and understand your accomplishments! 

That's great about lowering A1c levels.  I was pretty high on the cholesteral chart which was another reason to make change.  Sugar and portion size are my two weaknesses.  I'm getting better with the latter, but sugar is still a struggle.  

The party sounds like a hoot!

Yep.  I was constantly accused of being anorexic.  Just my body build.  It was really hurtful when I was younger but now I'm all "Meh."  I put on about 15-20 lbs after my kids which has me at 118 lbs and 5'10" so I'm still underweight but I look better now so I just embrace it.

Building off of what you said...  Ok, so he kissed a guy (or two or three or whatever). That doesn't necessarily make him gay.  He could have been experimenting.  He could bi.  You can be bi and still be in a committed relationship with EITHER gender. It is Tamra and Eddie's marriage.  It works for them and they seem to be happy.

I view her way differently having had Armenian friends throughout my life - here in Los Angeles.   I don't care how long she has been here and speaking English, I totally get her not knowing a lot of American colloquialisms or sayings and I don't think it makes her "stupid" as some of you want to peg her. 3. If you and your entire family speak another language - and you, as the mother in that family prefer to speak that language - you can only imagine that the primary language spoken in their household is Armenian.

4. She's older, so back when she was in college, etc - we didn't speak so casually in formal settings. You weren't throwing slang around at work and in emails like we do today, for example. 

So now you're speaking Armenian in your home life, with your friends and colleagues (because they're all probably Armenian), etc  - why would you know common sayings if you never use them in your native tongue! 

You can see that her husband, running a company, totally is around non-Armenians in his daily work life. Thus, he has picked up sayings and phrases through the years.   I can completely believe that 99% of the time in their house they are speaking Armenian, and they are ONLY speaking English while Bravo cameras are filming. Except the kids. I bet the kids speak to their parents in Armenian and speak English all other times. 

 

If I take anything away from Peggys clips it's that they were desperately trying to add some diversity to the OC cast and clearly none of them know anything about Peggy or had known her prior (that magazine connection with Lydia is totally bogus). I like Peggy, i just wish she had a real connection to someone else in the cast because I think she won't make it to another season without that. 

I've explained it before too since I am a speech therapist and work a lot with bilingualism plus I live in a foreign country.  I speak Arabic with a slight American accent (no matter how much I try, some of those sounds are HARD!).  My daughter takes Arabic in school and my lord, the American accent is strong on her because we don't speak Arabic to each other.  We speak English. 

Peggy's accent honestly isn't that strong.  I do some accent modification work on the side and trust me, there is a lot worse out there.  

My husband and I actually got to discussing the "came out of left field" segment one night because I always thought it was a baseball thing but never really understood why it meant that.  I just knew how to use it correctly. Peggy knew how we use it but she didn't understand the why.  I wound up having to google it and found it was something about a psych hospital that was past the left field of some baseball field.

Wasn't Jeana's daughter, Kara, at Vicki's party?  I thought I was looking at Kara at least some of the time, but the consensus seems to be that Narrow Eyes was Jeana ???  Vicki's dress would've looked stunning on Gretchen (who definitely flashed a sad moment of baby hunger - just as well since she's still with Dad of the Year.)

Agreed. I am surprised that she is still on the show. Is she trying to embarrass David? He always looks like a deer in the headlights when he is o camera with her. I also feel bad for the kids who are at the teenage years. I hope their classmates aren't mean to them gossiping about their parents.

Bravo is currently running "Tamra's OC Wedding" and I have to say I think Tamra and Eddie do love each other.  Honestly, he's one of the nicest husbands across the entire Housewife franchise and he's a good influence on Tamra -- I feel like she's not as mean and awful as she used to be.  So funny watching this rerun -- it wasn't from that long ago (maybe four or five years ago?) but the ladies look different.  Heather had really long hair back then and Tamra's face looked much softer and rounder.

I am watching too and was thinking the same thing. Eddie really is the nicest husband out of all the husbands. I only started watching OC the season Icky's mom died so I don't know all their history, other than the flash back clips shown. How did her and Eddie meet?

Also, showing all these old episodes is really backfiring on Bravo because it is showing how awful and lacking this season is without Heather. It makes me miss her more. IMO she was the most level headed and reasonable among all the HWs and they need someone like that, especially with the OC.

LOL I am watching too and came to post about it :-) so weird seeing Ricky titled as Tam's best friend seeing that he is now doing Vicki's dirty work spreading Eddie gay rumors (so foul like in 4th grade when you call someone 'gay' to insult them).   I love Eddie and think he's mostly responsible for Tamra becoming less of a bitch each year (also her cutting down on alcohol has made a HUGE difference).

and yes please bring Heather back!  We need at least one person in each franchise who is not a screaming drunk.
