The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah

Message added by Scarlett45,

Discussing the charges against Jana is fine, but do not post any information that reveals her address/contact information- even if said documents are public (i.e. a part of court proceedings.)

Discussing charges against Jana is NOT a jumping off point to speculate on other instances abuse/neglect etc towards the M-children or to elaborate on Josh's conviction and potential victims.

Has this been posted yet? I found the episode description posted in a Facebook group. No idea if it's a legitimate episode description, but it wouldn't surprise me.

It's been speculated that the courtship is the howler who's been seen with the Caldwells lately.  Not sure which one that is.

She's usually linked to James or Jason. How old is she?

I feel like it's more likely to be Jer and someone else (not Lauren) because he has been shown so much more on the show lately. Kind of like when they started focusing on Jinger more right before she started courting Jeremy.

But a Lauren/Howler announcement wouldn't be a surprise either and will likely be announced at some point.

It's been hinted that the new season of Counting On could feature a new courtship. Maybe, maybe not.

So FJ is trying to figure out who the new courtship could be and they're talking about one of the -iah twins courting someone in Nakatsu family.

I had never heard of the Nakatsu family, but I've skimmed their whole blog. The Nakatsu family is headed by Kory Nakatsu (man). He lives with his second wife Kerry and his two girls Katey and Lauren. For a long time, they were more mainstream Christian maybe fundie-lite. They joined IBLP,  possibily thanks to seeing the Duggars on television. The blog features pictures of them doing normal things like playing softball and then with an increasing list of famous fundies. They visited AR and saw Josh running the carlot before he moved to Maryland. The daughters are Bright Lights and took pictures with Sarah Mally, now Sarah Hamilton (the Sarah who just got married at 41). (not Sarah Maxwell). Oldest daughter Katey attended Journey to the Heart in 2013 and was a group photo with Bill Gothard.  They hung out with the Bates family. They go to Big Sandy Conferences. They seem closest to the Wallers and Burnetts (Abbie Duggar's family).

FJ thinks it's the oldest daughter Katey who is courting one of the twins possibly Jed!. I think she'd be a better match for Jeremiah as she is a pilot and seems likely to be less kool-aid drunk.  She turns 22 at the end of July so she's a few months older than the -iah twins, but I don't think that would matter.  The biggest reason it might be her is that the family lives in Arizona and Jed/Jer met JinJer in Arizona with JB.

They still seem relatively mainstream for the Duggars. Her sister is about 4.5 years younger than her. It's a small family, where the girls are doted on and they love animals. I can't imagine going from that to being constantly pregnant for Jesus. Her family came into IBLP rather late too.

Of course this could just be rumor. The trip to Arizona makes sense in this context though.  It's been almost 2 years since JD announced his courtship with Abbie.

Quoting myself from over two months, to guess this is the courtship that will be announced at the end of the season. It's hard to say, but when asked Jed! says he's single and Jer gets quiet. I'm predicting it might be Jeremiah.

Maybe they're worried more about Sinner Twin since he has the persona of Sinner Twin and think they've got to lock that down with a fundie girl. Whereas with Jed!, they're like, eh, you're not going anywhere, so we can wait awhile before ensuring you get hitched.

Where did Sinner Twin (the nickname, not him literally LOL) come from, by the way?

How is said howler going to support a wife? I know, stupid question, but Boob’s money can only go so far.

This seems to be the thing that they can't quite get their minds around ....

I mean, he does have enough money for right now, surely. But the exponential growth of their population will inevitably and pretty quickly shrink everybody's share -- and then what's the plan? It seems to be mostly to develop champagne tastes as people collect multiple vehicles, including boats.

I wonder whether there's such a significant network of Jim Bob cronies that JB figures that, when they need it, those guys will all be there to offer the males replacement jobs. Or whether he just doesn't think about it at all.

Or whether we're just not seeing it but they're really building some non-fly-by-night-seeming businesses with various sons at the helm who are now learning to be the owners and bosses in JB's place, but just out of sight......It seems like, unless they're insane, this is what they must be doing. But is that actually happening or is momentum just carrying them along with the boys all still just being pretty much just interchangeable flunkies? It's just odd.

Yes, enquiring minds want to know.   Did it start when Jeremiah did more than one ALERT session while Jed stayed home? Thus, good twin vs. sinner twin?

Yep, you got it.  We figured that if Jeremiah went to ALERT twice while Jed! stayed home; he must be the bad twin.  And, thus, Sinner Twin was born.

Are they authorized to do this? I was just watching the Weather Channel an hour ago and the Congressman for that district said they couldn't send out volunteer teams until the power company cleared all the electrical wires.

They watched an electrician once and then they electrified the TTH. And the oldest one on the electrical team was 8. Downed wires...no problem.

Did they bring badges and weapons to terrorize the good people of Louisiana like they did when they invaded the Bahamas "to help" in the aftermath of a natural disaster?

According to the 2010 census, Lake Charles is 47% white and 47% black, so I guess it just depends on the neighborhood.

The power company pretty much flips the switch on the power grids and shuts down the electricity.

With that said, there were cops stationed around the perimeter of my neighborhood for about a week after a significant weather event. Anyone entering had to show an ID and live on one of the streets they were protecting. If you were bringing help in, you had to meet them at a cop. Depending on your street, for the first couple of days, there was a good chance you couldn't drive all the way in, or even drive your car out, because many of the roads were blocked by downed trees. I was lucky my husband wasn't home at the time, because my car was totaled in the storm so at least we had his car.

And again, with that said, help from volunteers was welcomed because our area looked like a war zone. A family friend, a Marine who served in Kuwait, said it looked worse actually. I'm not onboard with how the Duggar/Bates conducted themselves in the Bahamas, but I'm guessing they'll be some families in LA/TX that will welcome them. But days 1 & 2 are too soon.

I'm thinking it is Sinner Twin and Katey.

Who knows about the rest. I get the impression Lauren Caldwell keeps being teased to fuel speculation but I think she's being groomed to be the Jana of the Caldwells for the time being. A Howler will be waiting awhile and the show only functions when there are courtships, marriages, and babies.

Yeah I could see this as there's only one other Caldwell girl and she's a lot younger. And most fundie families seem to wait to marry all the sister moms until mom is done having children.

If this was Kendra's second pregnancy I could see Lauren being married off. Now? Kendra is looking more and more likely to be the next Meech and Christina could still conceivably get pregnant.

Sorry Lauren. Blame your sister. Go talk to David Waller, you might find a better fundie match than a Duggar.

So the Duggars are indeed exceptional!   That is unless this season has a very special surprise announcement nobody sees coming!

Michelle will never give up hope and admit that the baby factory is out of business. She probably still takes a pregnancy test every time she makes herself "joyfully available". After all, in the Bible, Sarah was 90 when she gave birth to Isaac and Elizabeth was 60 when she had John the Baptist, so you never know!

We have to remember that this is a book compilation -- once pretty universally considered by Christians to be absolutely factual and still viewed that way by some (Jer V seems to be participating today in a podcast apparently devoted wholly to the necessity of taking the bible literally) -- in which Methuselah supposedly lived for 969 years.

Sarah's a revered figure in Judaism, Islam and Christianity. And with the Methuselah standard going, if she'd had the baby when she was 60 or something, she probably wouldn't have been a big enough deal for that.

Do they know it wasn’t written in English? 😉

Well, I think some of these guys may be KJV-only people -- so they think God gave special inspiration to that group of translators. ....

And most of them (maybe all?) hate the "scientific" approach of the multiple translators and archaeologists and such who started looking at the old texts anew in the 19th century and now into the 21st. I'm pretty sure most of the fervent anti-Darwinists hate modern biblical scholarship as much as they hate Darwin....

So, I think, kind of ...no. 😁

I said they tend to wait until the mother is done having kids. I didn't say that they marry off the sister moms the minute mom's baby making days are done. My point was Christina Caldwell could still have children may want to keep her oldest daughter around to help.

Plenty of fundies continue to keep the older daughters at home to help with the work and also so they can find someone suitable for their daughters.  The Maxwells, whose daughters are still single. The Bontragers who just married off their other adult daughter when their youngest is 12.

Obviously Michelle is done having kids. She's known this ever since she started talking about her new season of life. She's not dumb enough to think they'll have another baby.

She’s a religious fanatic. And while all humans are capable of believing two opposing things at the same time, religious fanatics are specialists in that. She knows she won’t have another baby. But she believes she might.

My husband and I were taking a road trip for his work and we drove past a man in a Volvo station wagon from the late 70’s, and I said to Mr. Face “hey! Who knew Methuselah drives a Volvo?!”

I have never seen my husband cackle that long in my life.

The safety mania of Volvo is the secret to Methuselah's longevity!
