When Larry was going off on Maci (at first I thought he was directing his anger towards Mackenzie and I was seriously uncomfortable for her) it reminded me of Estelle Costanza telling Frank to calm down on an episode of Seinfeld.  Thanks for the memories.

I thought Annette looked so pretty in her dress. It was the perfect choice for her.

I felt sorry for Amber at the dress shop.  She knows deep down it is not good with Matt and the facade of a great relationship is crumbling.  I wish she had a real friend to talk to because Matt is manipulating her so much that she doesn't trust her own feelings anymore.  Very, very sad.

When is the last time we've seen Amber with Leah?  Hasn't it been at least three eps?

Loved Leah shutting down the sex ed talk on camera. Girl is so much smarter than the chuckleheads she films with. And it's great how Kristina just gets her. Leah is very lucky she is in her life.

I forget who shared screen shots of the destruction to Ambers rental but now it's all I can see. I don't pay any attention to the dialogue anymore I just scan the door jambs, windows etc for damage. It's actually easier to watch this way so thank you!

Leah was adorable when she told Gary "NOT on the cameras." She is wise. Also, why are they talking about sex at the age of 8 or so? (Not sure of Leah's age)

I just had my first sex talk with my sons - ages 7 and 8. You can thank Henry VIII, who we were learning about in history. (I homeschool.) It was actually my younger boy who stopped the lesson and wanted to know "How do you get a baby? Because when people get married and move intogether, they start having babies. But I've been in a room with girls and I don't have a baby". So we had a brief biology lesson! I'm of the mind that if they ask, I'm going to tell them. I don't think 8 is necessarily too young, but all kids are different. It's kind of hard to figure out a good age when you're doing it at a school level. But I think Christina said they JUST talked about body parts, not necessarily what goes where?

What a ho-hum episode. Maci and Taylor playing that exit game was hella boring. It is like the Z-list version of a Beverly Hills Housewife episode except instead of high-end adventures, we get Maci the lush and Taylor playing a game.

Those things are super popular in real life and I don't know one person who did it with only two people. Pretty pathetic.

Man, fuck this show. I honestly stopped the show and deleted it after the umpteenth berating by Farrah. I dont have time for this anymore. Its a waste of every ones times. I love seeing the kids grow up but that's it. I can't with this show anymore. Life is too short. I finally reached the breaking point.

Welcome to the club. I deleted it after the reunion. Come here to read and laugh but can no longer with these 4.

Um... yeah I had such a hard time getting through this episode when Matt said "Amber won't leave the bed until she's done work " and then they show us Amber doing work from her bed. And then show us her talking to a producer in bed. So basically Amber does everything in bed. Who isn't surprised.

So very Hefner esque!

Deb's doctor friend was acting so odd during the dinner, and it takes a lot to look odd in front of Farrah. Why no wonder she hates him, he was basically laughing at them the entire time. He's a weirdo and I think he enjoys being on TV way too much. He's like Debb's version of Matt. It's just so gross and I think he was a teen mom fan who weasled his way to Deb and is hyper aware of the cameras.

Amber needs to trust her gut. It's crazy that her masseuse and the producer were the only two women around her she felt she could talk to. I think she's desperate to have outside contact and for someone she trusts to help guide to to breaking up with Matt. Even the girl in the bridal shop seemed like she picked up on Amber having serious doubts about getting married.

Initial thoughts:

-I despise the smug look on Deb's face every time creepy doctor sticks up for her

-Amber reminded me a little bit of Farrah in the way she was telling Matt off after she got off the phone. I was hoping for some vintage Amber!!

-Bentley is such a good big brother!! <3

-Ugh please anyone but Dr. Drew

-Is Michigan known for good BBQ, because that seems to be the only places they go out to eat??

No, but I'm pretty sure she said she needed 14 after doing a "fun" activity with her husband.

Maci wakes up in the morning needing beer. She makes breakfast and desires a beer. She drops the kids off at daycare and comes back home to another beer. The girl bleeds beer.

I guess Deb broke it off with the doctor because on the after show she said the wedding isn't happening. When Nessa pressed for info, Deb said to wait for the episode since it was filmed.

It does look fun. In fact, there was an episode on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills where the ladies played this game as a group. Not the exact same exit game, a better version. That looked fun. Maci and Taylor as filler on this show is just boring all around.

I'm not sure if she broke it off, or just postponed/called off the wedding. When Nessa asked what David thinks of her raps, she said he IS very supportive and LIKES her rap songs. Present tense. So I assumed that they are still together, but not doing the wedding - likely because of tensions with Farrah.

Farrah -- Sooooo, yeah.  That conversation at the restaurant between Deb and Farrah.  Who were they talking about, Sophia's nanny?  "She's fat and lazy and wants to eat" and do what now?  I didn't understand what Deb was so angry at.  I couldn't follow it, and I hit rewind on my DVR three times.  It made no sense the first time I watched it and made even less sense the fourth time I watched it.  Maybe I was too wrapped up in folding my laundry ...

Amber -- I think I *almost* saw a glimmer of hope there at the dress shop ..?  I wanted to take her out for a cup of coffee, listen to her, and hug her.  I really did.  I  hoped that something was finally breaking through.  I was silently willing her to tell Matt to f'k off when she was on the phone in the bedroom and really thought she'd use those choice words instead of "ex.CUSE.YOU!!"  If her dedication to building her so-called Forever Hoe business is the spark that ignited some of that flame I saw last night, then all the power to her.

The dress her "friend" Annette tried on was totally gorgeous, btw.  She looked lovely in it.

And for what it's worth, I am using age-appropriate terms and descriptions to have "The Talk" with my daughters (9 and 7 1/2).  They ask questions, I answer them to a level of a 1st and 3rd grader.  That and "The Care And Keeping of You - For Younger Girls" is a huge help for age-appropriate stuff, and it's a start in the right direction.

Moving on ...

Maci -- I want to believe that Mackenzie's behavior is entirely encouraged by the producers purely for dramatic purposes and to keep SOME kind of story going for Maci's segments.  Otherwise, what other story lines does she have to keep the TM gravy train rolling?  Mackenzie IS the story line, the 'introduction of Cousin Oliver to the family to keep afloat a sitcom that is going adrift ...', if you will.  Finally, what the fresh hell was the reason for this prison escape game that Maci and Taylor were playing?  It was just weird.

Catelynn -- I'm irrationally tired of Kim and her odd facial expressions, like she's feigning interest in anything her son has to say. And speaking of Tyler, I'm tired of him parenting Butch.

Edited by RamonaSenomar
Catelynn's segment deserves some snark, too.

Gary was wrong on several different levels for bringing up sex ed when he did. It's ON CAMERA which of course is going to make Leah super uncomfortable. AND IT'S DINNER TIME. Ick.

About Ryan: I caught their episode of 16 and Pregnant and I swear Ryan was just as bad back then. Monotone, always asleep or laying on the couch or bed, emotionless, not helpful with baby Bentley at all. I honestly thought Ryan had gotten worse over time, but he was a zombie back then. Very strange.

Tyler: "Dr. Drew is really smart."

Bacon hanging from clothespins!!! Bacon! From clothespins! Mmmm.

Jayde rubbing Bentley's head.

Amber's Kabuki eyebrows slithering together hoping to meet in the middle at some point. Of course they had to have a commercial during the episode for one of those ridiculous brow pencils.

The worst offense for me was that it was an episode featuring a cornucopia of open-mouth chewing and talking while eating. I became enraged. It began with that repulsive Kim chomping like a slob as usual,  and went on to showcase Butch and Tyler so disgustingly that they required subtitles.

You could tell there was some cutting and editing going on there. I don't think for nefarious reasons, just time constraints. It seemed like Farrah brought up the topic of being annoyed with the nanny, and then they cut out a chunk of what she was saying, because suddenly Deb was launching in with HER opinions. I think Deb was just trying to back up Farrah and get on her good side again.

I have the feeling the wedding was called off by David, not Deb.

Debra and Barb on the after show is such a contrast to watching them on the actual show. I wish I could watch more of them together.

Deb is really pushing the Maci love, isn't she? Is it because Maci has pulled away from criticizing Farrah out of fear? LOL

Ryan had a bit more life to him back then. He was going out and staying out all night. He was nothing like he is now. He was also very cruel and angry towards Maci. He did lie around, but he also did work full-time. He really didn't care to bond with Bentley.

Best post! LOL

Amber's eyebrows!! What is it with that look? Since when has the huge caterpillar look above your eyes become the norm? Should I blame the Kardashians? I went out to dinner on Saturday with a huge group of people and the young daughters and their mothers both had that look going on. All I could do was stare. I wondered how they thought that look was good. I remember when they had these plucked, beautifully drawn eyebrows on their faces. Now, all I see is that Kabuki look on every single female. I felt out of place with my normal waxed eyebrows.

I can honestly see both sides. And aside from Ryan, I think everyone involved truly does have good intentions. I like Jenn and Larry, but they are not without flaws. We've seen the dysfunction with their own son. And Maci isn't perfect, but she is the mom here and it can't be easy to walk the line between her ex and his parents. Again, I think everyone is mostly good intentioned, but there is a real lack of communication and understanding going on. At the end of the day, Ryan just really needs to actually GO to court. Get a set visitation schedule, including holidays. And HE needs to adhere to it, not pawn it off on his parents.

Ugh, Amber and her "business". She is so full of crap. Anything that gives her an excuse to sit in bed all day. Don't you have an office? Why don't you move your computer in there? She's on the phone until 4 am??? With who, exactly??? A Nigerian football team? And even if her "businesses" are a crock of shit, why does Matt need to stand there and monitor who she's talking to on the phone? He is the definition of controlling.

I saw this as Debz seeing an opening to talk shit about the woman she thinks has replaced her. Farrah expressed dissatisfaction and Debz went on the attack, pointing out things that Farrah obviously didn't agree with.

It would be like going to McDonald's and someone says "these french fries aren't that great" and the other person going on a rant about how much McDonald's sucks and all the bad things they do to the environment and how they pay their employees for shit and the moral inferiority of eating beef, but especially McDonald's beef.

Debz, as usual, took it too far because she wanted her way, which is to be back in Sophia's life instead of the awful nanny.

In other news, Mr. Guilfoyle as distanced himself from his interesting, not-like-Deb-but-nonetheless-not-ideal mom when he was around 25.

YES!! This annoys the crap out of me... literally since he started filming with her there has not been one moment of footage where he is not by Ambers side (I haven't actually seen this episode, so maybe he wasn't there for the wedding dress thing, Idk).  I think there have been brief moments when he is filmed and Amber is not there, mostly when Amber is still in bed, but Matt is wherever the cameras are.

I am not married so maybe what I'm about to say is part of the reason, but, I cannot imagine how miserable I would be if I constantly had someone by my side, regardless of how much I love them, I need space, they could be my most favorite person ever, but I would still like to be by myself sometimes, I always joke that I still want my own room when I'm married.

What did Larry mean when he said he couldn't make decisions for Ryan, but he can for Bentley?  Um, no you can't....unless I'm missing what he's talking about.  And I'm sorry, but there's seriously something wrong with Ryan - the way he's holding and studying his phone in that scene - it looks like he's mentally challenged.

This bothered me too. I get that Larry and Jen have been very involved in Bentley's life, but Maci is his mother and has, by and large, raised him herself. Larry doesn't get to make decisions for Bentley except the limited ones (like what's for dinner) during the times when Ryan lets his parents have his visitation time.

Of course Mackenzie kept her mouth shut and said nothing at the time, but then ran home and spilled to Ryan's parents. Not only that but she also jumped on the pile-on. I knew that she was one of those girls. Now Maci knows that she can't trust her and that's going to make everything between everyone shitty. I think it's obvious that Ryan couldn't care less about getting that extra day with Bentley. He'd be in court day and night at least until he got an official no. He's never bothered because he doesn't really give a shit. Has he ever done anything with that kid just the two of them? Their activities are based around his parents. In any case, Bentley is getting to the age when a judge would consider what he wants, and where he wants to spend his time.

Settle down there Debz with regard to the nanny.   Calling other women "fat and lazy" doesn't make you better than them, and clearly didn't stop Michael from cheating on you TWENTY ONE TIMES during your marriage.   And news flash here, Dr. Creeper would be with someone fat and lazy if he thought it might get him some more TV time.   Dude SO isn't into Debz for her Whoville looks nor her dim bulb personality, he's after MTV screen time.   Watching Debz mouth when she talks makes me a little nauseous.  Why are her lips so weird?

Amber needs to get rid of Matt.  She's so young and still has time to find someone who isn't Matt.  She knows she deserves better and while it's a stretch, NO ONE deserves Matt.  Buh bye Matt.  I have a gut feeling your days are numbered.  He's so gross.   Amber truly can do better.

Maci had valid points but Mackenize was SO going to run back and blab.  Oh well.  The Escape Room footage was boring as fuck but the kids are adorable and watching them interact was worth watching Maci's segments.  Larry needs a heaping dose of shut the fuck up.

I really used to love Catelynn, now all I want is for her to do something with that hair to cover that five head.  And maybe go to school?  Make some friends? Get a part time job?  And what happened to Kim's ever present postal uniform?  She used to wear it every show.  Now she's all fancy and glammed up and shit.

I know we already snarked on Amber being so busy that she has to "stay in bed all day" (I snorted when I heart Matt say that), but how about Matt's comment that they've literally only eaten take-out for the past month because that's how busy they've been. Are you kidding me? Even if Amber is working like crazy day in and day out on her online boutique (please), she seriously can't take half an hour to make a simple dinner. Or better yet, why isn't MATT making dinner. What's keeping him so busy that they only had time for take out for at least a month? Amber spent all that money and went through surgical procedures to loose weight, and she turns right around and literally stays in bed all day and eats take out.

I'm glad that she seems to be acknowledging her rightful doubts about Matt. I agree with those who feel like she doesn't want to admit she was wrong about him, after defending him so vigorously and being so adamant that they would make it. I also think she feels like she will have nothing without him, since she doesn't seem to have many close people in her life. Add the fact that Matt knows when to say the right things to her, he's probably good at roping her back in when she starts to come to her senses. I think Amber probably laps it up because she wants so badly to believe the lies he's telling her. But it's very telling that just the thought of officially committing to him forever through marriage causes her to nearly have a panic attack. She knows deep down what's up. I genuinely hope she finds the strength to follow her gut on this one and not marry him.

I don't think Amber would  walk away now even if she wanted to.   A few times now I have noticed Amber saying "my money' or "my car" and Matt correcting her to say 'ours'.   She probably has no idea what he even does with her money.   And he could probably sell some very interesting stories too.   She messed up with Gary, those two are kind of perfect for each other except for Amber's raging temper and how she was always kicking his ass.   I think she wants exactly what Gary has with his new wife, just a flashier version of it.

I'll keep saying it...Farrah and her family are all batshit.  Something is just off with all of them, even Michael.  I need to know what nasty thing happened in that woodshed.  Are they all on drugs?  They are not right.

Amber needs to start extricating her finances and then herself from Matt immediately.

Mackenzie is a shit-stirrer, but if Ryan really cared, he would and should go through the courts.  Although Maci is a little right too.  Everything Jenn and Larry has done is great, but Ryan needs to step up and start being a father without relying so much on his parents.  I don't know what he's been on lately, especially coming from the guy who called Kyle slow, Ryan isn't far behind lately.

So... Matt's upset over the makeup line because it's a guy right?

The whole nanny discussion was gross. I don't like Deb's fiance but I love that he isn't afraid to say what he's thinking. Can you imagine being stuck at a table with 3 Abraham women? And when Sofia's older? Run David run.

I hate Dr. Drew and I hate Butch for having him be on the show. But at least he's right about Butch not being in a program. Tyler's mom also gets progressively worse. OMG bacon is so bad for you -- eats cheese doused potato skins.

The Maci drama seems like almost standard separate family bs. He said-she said, anger at the people who aren't in the room. If the cameras weren't there, all the same stuff would happen, there just wouldn't be evidence of it. I cringed when Larry said he can make decisions for Bentley - he probably didn't mean that literally but not the best thing to say. He's a great grandpa (they're great grandparents), but you're still grandparents.

Ok, one thing that struck me this episode is that Butch always says he goes in for crack cocaine.

Tyler seems to make it a point to say that his dad is busted for powder cocaine.

Dude can't accept that his dad likes the crack rock. Tyler thinks it's low class to be addicted to crack, but less bad to be addicted to powder?

Great catch.

I don't feel Butch was sincere in his call to "Dr. Drew".  He most likely wanted to use a stay at a rehab facility to look good for a pending court date in hopes of a lighter sentence and had no actual interest in treatment.  Butch and Tyler (who most likely came up with the idea - "Call me when MTV is here") figure that MTV came through for Catelynn/Leah's drug issues and that MTV would help a fan favorite like Butch.

I think you're seeing the real Amber, whether Matt's there or not. Matt's a big enough lowlife to go along for the ride with her sorry ass. They deserve each other. All I could think of during the massage scene was "Pig-In-A Blanket".

Highlights:

This post is solid gold @AhFillAck but I bolded my favorite part.   At first, I thought "Butch still eats like he is in the pen and has to fight for his food".  Then I recalled that everyone in that family eats like that.   Ugh.

"She's fat and ugly and can't move." Fuck you Deb. That was so rude and unneccesary. We don't know what happened with the nanny but still, that poor woman is going to see this conversation play out on tv. The last shred of sympathy I had for Deb has just evaporated.

Amber, run!! Listen to your gut!

Deb was such a raging bitch about the nanny. It's really hurtful to say that about someone who isn't really even a full fledged "character" on this show and is sort of on TV incidentally not because she necessarily wanted to be on TV. Good luck finding another good baby sitter, Farrah!
