Jagger? As in Mick Jagger? What kind of names are these people giving their kids? Though I suppose nothing can top "Lux."

Ugh. A Facebook acquaintance I know named his kid Jagger. That family is what we call here 'bogans'. I feel sorry for these poor children with ridiculous names (Lux included).

They really need to just name that boy “Dear Maci” because he’s going to take a lot of the resentment from his Mother due to his fathers actions. Dear Maci, Why didn’t you not avoid my egg when you knew your father was dealing with addictions and needed help, like his mom didn’t already know when she guided that sperm on Ovulation day. ?

Jagger > Lux, IMO....but almost everything is. Here's hoping he gets a real(er) name as a middle name, so he could grow up to be - J. William Edwards, MD or whatever if he wanted.

I also feel like Jagger is a big name to saddle a kid with.  I know these two probably don't even know who Mick Jagger is, but that name comes with a lot of connotations.  I'd expect a Jagger to be handsome, smart, charming, very creative, & entertaining (and with a superhuman alcohol/drug tolerance).  I considered the name Rhett for our son for like a second, until I thought about the connotations that the name carries because of Rhett Butler in Gone with The Wind.  Rhett Butler was quite a man (okay, a character) and it's a lot to saddle a kid with (or at least it is in the South).

Bentley, Hudson, and Jagger....those names just scream aughts and early 2010s to me. But I guess it could be worse.  And the kid's name is the least of his worries anyway with parents like Mackenzie and Ryan.

You must be an Aussie? Lol

Supposedly, the Jagger thing is fake. I hope so because Bentley( I think the name is fine by itself), Hudson and Jagger sounds like the name of someone's dogs, not someone's kids.

Preach!

I’m convinced the Kardashians either lost a bet with some secret cult they belong to OR Kris pimped her grandkids out in that her kids were paid a shit load of money to let other people name their kids...like people who drive cars that are plastered with adverts on the side.  How else do you explain these poor kids’ names?

Mason, Penelope, Reign (I don’t care for Penelope, but it’s way better than the rest)

North, Saint, Chicago

True

Dream

Stormi

Apparently Khloe never heard about the “how you met him his how he’ll leave you” rule, but she is my favorite one (minus the whole “my new boyfriend Tristan has an ex-gf who is three months pregnant” thing). That said, naming her newborn daughter True? WTF?

On topic: I went to middle school with a guy named Rhett. He was so handsome and he didn’t even know it, so that amplified his hotness times ten! We all took turns having a crush on him, but he just hung out with the guys. Totally age appropriate and normal.

When I first heard that they'd named their baby "North", I thought it was a joke. I thought for sure the person who announced it was reading an Onion article.

Advertisers don’t want to be associated with shows starring active porn stars. White trash run ins with the law can be spun as “gritty” or “unflinching real”.

I don't think ALL of the advertisers actually know what is happening on the TM shows. They just know the demographics and with that, they know it is all about ratings and for them it is about money.

Once the public (and us viewers) tweeted all the advertisers on the TM show about David (Jenelle) and his homophobic slurs, many of the companies jumped off and tweeted they do not want their businesses to be associated with someone who has such views. It wasn't the first time viewers complained to advertisers about the actions of the cast members, but it was the first time advertisers actually responded and pulled away from the show. Perhaps they don't care about being associated with people who commit DV or are addicts who are putting people in harm's way, but I also believe advertisers are just looking for hit shows to place their ads.

Since many of the viewers were disgusted with Farrah's adult work, particularly the porn video, MTVs tactic was to throw them a bone. It gave them reason to bring up her porn work. The viewers who felt Farrah was a "ho" are now feeling satisfied and grateful that MTV heard and read their cries. She won't grace their flat screens anymore.

Farrah was easily the most famous Teen Mom, and it was all because of her pornos and rubber anus molds. I don’t think her sex cam work went unnoticed by advertisers.

Catelynn, Rhine, Amber et al. are all unambiguous failures, and viewers like that. Farrah’s semi success from porn was an affront to the viewers sensibilities.

Yeah, I think it was much more about the viewers than the advertisers. I don't think most advertisers care much about legal porn or nude modeling/stripping unless they're explicitly a family brand. This is MTV, there's been far worse on all their shows.

As far as the demographics of the average viewer/leghumper, from what I can tell many of them have multiple kids of their own by different partners and don't seem to be very successful themselves (obviously a generalization). Looking down on Farrah probably makes them feel better about themselves, while looking down on the others would be like condemning their own behavior.

Add me to this mix. The advertisers do not care about porn, strippers, etc. They only care when their brand or product is being boycotted. When someone has committed a scandalous act or said something that is vile and atrocious, advertisers aren't always swayed until the public comes forward and threaten to boycott. When advertisers feel they are going to lose consumers and money, that is when they decide to pull away. There have been instances where advertisers pulled away from a tv show without being threatened, but that was on rare occasions.

MTV definitely has had far worse on their shows. Advertisers are about making money. They see ratings gold with this network.

‘Teen Mom’ Stars Ryan & Mackenzie Edwards Resurface on Social Media While Buying A New Car: Here’s Why It’s Awkward

Quote

Mackenzie and Ryan Edwards have kept a very low profile over the past few months, swearing off social media while their turbulent relationship (and Ryan’s struggle with sobriety) have played out on Teen Mom OG. Earlier this week, though, Ryan and Mackenzie resurfaced on Facebook when a local car dealership congratulated Ryan on buying a new truck.

In a photo posted to the dealership’s Facebook page, Ryan and pregnant Mackenzie (who showed off her small baby bump for the very first time) stood next to a shiny white truck.

The dealership also posted the caption, “Thank you very much to Mr. Edwards for coming by…today and picking out your brand New Custom F-150  #blackwidowstyle.”

The picture proves that the Edwards are still together, despite Ryan suggesting a separation to Mackenzie during the ‘Teen Mom OG’ season finale.

And, to make things even more awkward–Mackenzie’s ex-husband actually works at the dealership Ryan and Mackenzie purchased the truck from. It does not appear that the Edwards bought the car from Mac’s ex-husband, though, as a different salesman is in the photo with them.

The dealership got plenty of heat over the photo from followers who apparently watched the ‘Teen Mom OG’ episode in which Ryan was shown driving while under the influence of drugs.

“Congratulations on selling an enormous truck to a dude who literally fell asleep behind the wheel on heroin less than a year ago,” one person wrote.

“Yea she’s a black widow for sure,” another wrote. “Hope he doesn’t fall asleep at the wheel and kill someone in that big truck.”

I'm no Maci apologist but man, is Mackenzie a huge step down from her baby mama predecessor. It looks like there is a stick permanently wedged up her butt and a string subsequently pulling her face back. Not attractive and with a stressed out look all the time. That said this is an MTV trap baby. What better way to pull a storyline away from drugs to new baby and new marriage...it's embarrassing. Knowing that he doesn't have a job beyond MTV, what paid for this truck? That's what I'd like to know.

Maci is the queen of trap babies. It took two of them to get Taylor to marry her. Oh, and after he got his MTV paycheck.

What was it that Taylor said on one episode to his friend about putting a ring on Maci? He had to wait and see that check?

Like RYAN is going to be taking that baby anywhere.

Oh, agreed about Maci. I would venture to say that Bentley was a trap baby too. Back in the day before TM,  Ryan was hot AF and completely disinterested. What better way to rope him?

I disagree about his "hotness," but I know mileage varies. If she was trying to set a trap, it failed miserably.

MTV $ is paying for it. Don’t they get their checks at the end of the season?

also the article said he suggested a separation during the reunion. I must’ve missed that what was said?

I agree that big jacked up 4x4 isn't a very practical truck for a family with a newborn, but these people aren't known for their good judgment and logic. lol

My husband drives a F150 4x4 because of his work.  It isn't a vanity vehicle.   He has to have 4-wheel drive for getting to stuff for his job.   Ryan will just be driving around like a peacock past his prime.

I'm barely 5' and my husband was sweet enough to get after market running boards on his truck for me.  I can't tell if Ryan's has any or not.  Surely it does since it looks super tricked out.  My son-in-law also drives a lifted 4x4 and he doesn't have running boards.  I can't reach to buckle my grandson into his carseat.  If we take him some place in my husband's truck I have to stand on the running boards to reach in and do it.

Not during the reunion. It was on the season finale. They were fighting when they got back to the house and Ryan said he thought they should separate for 9 months. As if Mack is suddenly going to become a joyous ray of sunshine upon pushing his child out.

Oh okay. I did hear that, I thought there was a serious discussion. Of course, Ryan probably did actually mean that.

I always bring this up but, Ryan was nearly 21 years old when Bentley was born. He deserves way less of a pass, imo, than all the fathers who were actually only 16-17 when their kids were born. He’s still one of the worst dads at 30! Mackenzie is an idiot!

Just wait, he will totally be calling her a trigger soon enough. Then their kid will be a trigger. Everything is a trigger because Ryan doesn’t want to deal with life. I wouldn’t want to deal with Mackenzie either but he could’ve not had sex with her and divorced her and she’d be a memory by now. Now he’s tied for life and just wait until they break up! He hasn’t seen a bitchy baby mama like I’d imagine Mackenzie to be. Trigger indeed.

I think I’ve said this before but damn! His parents are continuing to set Ryan up to fail, imo, by babying the shit out of him his whole life and continuing to do so even now. He’s going to OD or crash (again) and they’ll still blame other people. I can’t believe he needed mommy, daddy and second mommy (Mackenzie) all out there with him at the reunion and he still wouldn’t allow Maci and Taylor to come out.

We have all discussed why this truck is impractical for many reasons, and I have another one to toss in.  It isn't a good choice for his Tinder Food City parking lot hook ups.  A camper van or conversion van makes more sense for his lifestyle.

Love your new avatar.

I would love to do a poll and see just how many teen girls have wanted to become pregnant because they were "in love" or they felt if they had a baby, the father of that child would stick around. Even adults make that mistake (Kail).
