The FIRST thing I thought of when I read about the DUI is that I hope she has some TRUE friends who will be brutally honest with her for the sake of her girls.  NOTHING else should matter right now - not Bravo, not her public image, her ego, her drinking buddy John, etc…

Her life may depend on what she does in the wake of this, and we’ve seen how gullible she is.  The last thing she needs is a bunch of “yes men” telling her what she wants to hear.   Just as she thinks she needs daily colonics, because “YOUR GUT IS YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM!!”, (while she doesn’t think twice about drowning said gut in ETOH and decimating her gut biome) she’s not gonna be able to Dr. Moon herself outta this one.  

Wake up, Dingbat!  Time to get it together!  You’ll also find that self-respect you lost along the way.

So she likely was drunk when she left the restaurant and then drove back while still drunk.  How drunk was she when this started? 

I am somewhat happy that she was injured.  That makes it harder to act like it wasn't a big deal. I want to see the house she hit.  How far did she have to go off the road to hit a house?  Then she parked her car in the middle of the street and walked the dog?  So inebriated she didn't know she wasn't at the curb? It's frightening that she got behind the wheel and that no one stopped her. She is very lucky no one but her was hurt.

Shannon has been drinking heavily for years,  This is not situational, especially given that life is always overwhelming for her.  As you said, we've seen her on TV drunk off her ass.  Her drinking has been escalating through the years.  She relies on alcohol. Jeff needs to get off it.  Is he worried because she was at his event then drove drunk?

It happened at night. She allegedly broke her arm (so she did get hurt). She will do counseling, but SHE DOESN'T BELIEVE SHE HAS A PROBLEM WITH ALCOHOL!

I believe in Los Angeles. Taylor was at Avra restaurant in Los Angeles the previous night according to her IG. They probably all of them stayed at LA hotels (except for maybe Heather who owns a condo in LA) the day before the reunion.

When Gina got her DUI, she got her sh*t together and stopped drinking completely.  Will Shannon do the same? I do think Shannon has a much bigger issue with drinking than Gina ever did, she needs rehab, not counseling.  I really hope Shannon gets the help she needs.  She should take a step back from the show for her own good, but she probably needs the money to pay her bills

So if I have read about this correctly, Shannon was on her way home after retrieving her phone from the restaurant. Did she go home first and pick up Archie? I hope she didn’t go to the restaurant with her dog and leave him in her vehicle while attending the party. Had she left him with John while attending? If she did that it sounds like her excuse so she could stay connected with John and see him. No matter, Archie did not belong in her car while she was driving drunk. Anyone see her alcohol level (if she blew)? I doubt she would hire Emily for legal counsel. More likely a DWI legal specialist as I’m sure she doesn’t want to be spilling her thoughts and secrets to someone who may blab like Emily.  (Even if Emily was tight lipped a lot of those women would surmise things by her demeanor when asked certain questions which could be misinterpreted) Shannon is in for a journey. Not one I’m interested in watching for my entertainment.

Well I certainly hope none of the ladies are talking about Shannon and John and their TOTALLY NORMAL NOT A BIG DEAL PROBLEMS!!!! I mean every middle aged couple gets into 2am drunken fights where one person speeds away like they’re in the Dukes of Hazard with a dog riding shotgun when they aren’t even an official couple because they broke up or maybe didn’t but everything is fine!!!

I mean all this completely reminds me of me and my boyfriend (also both middle aged) except last Saturday night we went out to dinner and a movie and fell asleep after reading in bed by 10pm. Very similar relationships.

Oh yes- Remember when we first “met” her, she was having a dinner party at her house, she was a bundle of nerves and kept grabbing a shot (IIRC) to calm herself.  She definitely uses alcohol as a crutch.

She was always a vodka imbiber and wasn't terribly messy.  Dropped David and then it was tequila and shots and super messy.  I don't think she stops drinking long enough to ever be sober.  If she doesn't admit it, the kids need to get her a minder who never lets her out of their sight.  I knew someone from HS who wouldn't stop drinking so their parents hired a round the clock babysitter.

I don't really care if Shannon wants to drink all the time. I do really care if she decides to get behind the wheel while doing it.  Parents of a 20 year old killed by a drunk speeding down the wrong way of the highway don't care if the driver was an alcoholic or just had a stressful year or whatever.  

There are breathalyzer ignition locks for cars and they are often required after a DUI offense. I think they should be standard equipment, at least on all RH cars.

But her main care on the show is how not to discuss her (shitty) relationship to John, and deny she is an alcoholic season after season....
