What Farrah doesn't get is that when her employees fail? it's a reflection on HER. Instead of throwing Farrahtude all over the place, she should have calmly explained the can opener to the employee. I know that is ridiculous to expect from Farrah, but that is how it's done in the REAL world.

Speaking of hygiene and nails, there was a 3 second shot at the beginning of Farrah taking items out of the topping bins, breaking them into pieces with her fingers and then putting them back.

No gloves, of course.

Also, Kiana's barb about a 25 year old owning a yogurt shop seemed to have gotten to Farrah, although she has no idea why.

My parents tell the story all the time of when I was the same age as Nova I would say "Can I please go to bed now? I am so tired".  It may have been an hour or more before bedtime but I knew when I was ready. Of course Tyler, my father was actually involved and did things with me, not just ignore me while he sat on the couch and did nothing. AND he worked, which I know is a foreign concept to Tyler.

I may not always agree with what Maci does, but I have to admit she is a good mom. Her kids seem to really love her and I think Bently is one of the most well adjusted kids on either Teen Mom show. Jen and Larry have played a part in that but I truly believe she loves her children and takes care of them.

It looked like Nova wanted to go play while they were still setting up, it wasn't like the party had started and even then, who cares? Why couldn't Catelyn step away and go play with her for a few minutes? Instead she yelled at her. So sad.

So was the party a one year out of prison party, or a one year sober party?  If it was a one year sober party and he'd been out of prison for one year then he didn't sober up until he left prison.  I do know that it's easy to get drugs in there, but it seems weird that he would use while in and then stop when he was released.

It seemed more all encompassing.  The two events are so closely related you probably couldn't celebrate one without the other.  Really sad to hear that Butch is back in prison.

I actually really want that to happen, because it serves Matt right. Then I want shiftless Christopher to steal a bunch of Amber's money and leave her to deal with the aftermath. Then Christopher gets arrested before he can leave the state.

Nova, along with Sophia, is one of the children I feel saddest for in this series. I know that their bodily needs are met, and technically they're loved, but no one engages with them on their level, plays with them, or shows interest in them as individuals. Poor little superNova wanders around without clothes, without any expression on her face. She's basically kept company by the dogs. That child is, at this point, mostly feral even though there are adults around her who could technically engage and show interest in her.

What is sad to me is I think Cate thought she was being a good mom in that scene. She probably would normally let her wander off, but realized the cameras were watching. So, she thought I better make her come back here.  She yelled. It is all she knows. She doesn't realize a good mom would go play with the poor kid.

He is 7 now and he WILL. NOT. SHUT. UP.  EVER!!!!  All kids are different, and honestly, there is nothing to worry about.  Early intervention did nothing, he still didn't want to talk.  

When we are in the car, or at home, or anywhere, I have to tune the kid out - he just talks and talks.  I cannot believe I was ever WANTING this!

Farrah - you get what you give, and you give a whole lotta shit to people. If you can't bother to train your employees and spend the time to train them, they will be calling you in a panic when things happen. Farrah has to know what she is doing in her own business in order to teach that to her employees. To Farrah, this is like running a lemonade stand on the front lawn.

Cate - What a drag. I hope Brandon and Theresa pull the plug on your visitations with Carly. They have every right. It is THEIR daughter, not yours.

Far be it from me to defend Cate, but I think that was a very hot, muggy day and the grass in the shade feels so cool when you lay down. Until it starts to itch. I imagine that's why Nova shed her shirt too. Everybody looked hot at that barbecue.

I agree about Tyler's head. Reminds me of one of those Zika babies. He is looking swollen and beefy, like he has water weight retention. And that hair! Someone who loves him really needs to have a heart-to-heart with him about his hair. I was struck by his attitude in the episode, admitting he's not a nice person and has no clue how to interact with someone with kindness and patience and love. So I guess he needs a wife with no feelings and needs. Cate sure picked herself a winner.

@CofCinci Her primary caregiver (April) has a pool... so she probably spent a lot of time outdoors. 

I noticed in the sneak peak of the adoption convo (in Cate and Tyler's thread) she is wearing the same shirt as the party... now I'm guilty of wearing my clothes more than once, but laying in the grass and being outdoors for an extended period of time is criteria that indicates it should be washed... but don't they film in the span of a week? Meaning it is less likely that it got washed in between. Maybe it did who knows but either way looks like we have a new zebra hoodie.

Some people just cannot pull off blonde. I felt like that about Chelsea's white-blonde hair years ago, and I feel that way about Farrah now. Blonde is not for you, Farrah.

You know Farrah was naturally blessed with a tall and thin body.  This is usually the body type that looks best in clothes (it is not my body type) and why most models fit that category (though most people can appreciate women are beautiful in all shapes and sizes).

The reason I am bringing this up is that she has really messed herself up with getting giant breast and butt implants.  I notice most clothes look really strange on her now, because the draping is not correct.  Even tailor made clothing looks strange and gives her the appearance of being overweight, when she is far from it.

I wonder how much she makes for selling an autograph/pictures at these porn conventions?  If they're like SciFi conventions, she makes bank.  Again, she's a crazy bitch but I respect her work ethic.  She's making a buck any way she can.  From high-end prostitution to pasta sauce.

On the topic of Maci, I do have to say each episode I notice how she is such a calm and loving mother.  She is really good with her children...when she feeds her babies, she looks like she is actually participating in it versus just throwing them a bottle as the others do.  I also think she attempts to think about how they feel about situations, such as Bentley, trying to protect them when she can.  I do think she can be annoying, but at the same time Taylor and Maci are showing themselves to be great parents.

Farrah has changed somewhat this season.  She occasionally sounds normal and totally confuses me.  Then she goes back to her crazy self, but I do see some changes in how she interacts with people.  Now, her firing of that employee was simply odd.  Take off the glasses and learn some grammar.

Taylor and Maci can enter the category of "great parents" when they lay off the Bud Light some and not throw the little ones into daycare so much. 

As for Farrah's glasses during that scene.  She did not go into that conversation with the intention of firing the employee.  It bet it supposed to be a scene to show off her great managerial skills.  She was going to discuss the problems and come up with a solution with the employee. Of course it didn't end that way. Either the girl decided to quit midconversation or was paid by the producers to quit. It's a minimum wage job.  She'd find another one. It's difficult to decline a large sum when offered.  I think the girl ducked up the closing zinger the producers scripted for her too. 

Tl;Dr - Farrah did not plan to fire the girl that day.

I have no idea of the specifics - maybe she works part time. I know she said something about quitting a job but maybe she didn't. I think she's always wanted to stay home with the kids, so I don't see her pawning them off. I agree that she's a very calm, involved mother. I think that's how "Benny" became unbelievably adorable and sweet. Damn I love that kid. 

Amber is going for a vulnerable, damaged Marilyn, but all she has accomplished is a "no wire hangers!" Joan Crawford. Back to the drawing board. I cringe to think of (but would kill to hear) their conversations about Marilyn and JFK. What, did Matt vote for him in '60?

To be fair we only saw them drop off the kids in that one scene.  Most other scenes Maci is at home interacting with and feeding her children.  So, as to how much they go to daycare we don't know, but I don't get the sense it is an all day thing every day.  If it is I could give these 2 the benefit of the doubt that there is a reason compared to all of the other moms who really show very little care for their children.  

As for the Bud Light, honestly if she is not drunk all day long while caring for them, as grown adults it is up to them how they spend their free time.  It really is no different from the cocktails that parents of my generation had on a regular basis.  I am not a huge drinker at all, so I understand your comment, but also think drinking is okay in moderation....and as long as it doesn't interfere with your life.

Going by this, Butch has actually been sober since September 2011, when he was in jail. That means he has been sober for five years.

I guess the celebration was to celebrate his sobriety since he was released from prison and for not relapsing which, of course, means he would have violated. It is harder for an addict to remain sober and clean upon their release from prison. With all the triggers that one is exposed to in society, it may be easier to remain clean in prison. Look at Amber. I am sure Butch had tried to stay clean many times when he was released from jail on previous occasions, but faltered back to the drug scene each time. His family felt this was a milestone for him.

I am reminded of the time our family celebrated a relative's sobriety. It happened to land near a specific holiday. We celebrated the holiday, but we also celebrated the one year sobriety of this relative with a cake.

He was pulled over for speeding. The police discovered he was driving on a suspended driver's license.

I just hope she has stopped hitting as a punishment.  I can't forget the bowling party with Bently and her friends and him being so young would not talk with her friends.  She took him into the bathroom and hit him.  I think her boyfriend/husband has been good for her.  The constant beer drinking is worrisome.

Can I just say I am on team Butch!  He has made the most progress of all of these people.  Driving on a suspended license is wrong but for him:  No drugs?  Not drunk?  Progress.

Hey, at least she's out of that awful zebra-print hoodie she was wearing in practically every scene from my last season.
