I think the way AM was 'in the wrong' is that they did not delete personal account details and information after memberships were cancelled, like they say they do. *shrug*

AM was a website that promised users total privacy and security.  Not only did they not delete members' personal info after they closed their accounts, AM held onto their credit card numbers, too.  And not in a secure, off the internet server.   I don't want to sound like I'm defending the people who use AM, but they may have a case here.

Thank you for the explanation!

Also we have a Smuggar sighting http://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/josh-duggar-jim-bob-duggar-photo-101001

Apparently they allowed someone to take a picture. Seriously, If I was Josh I would live under a rock and never resurface in the South. Maybe live in the mountains of Appalachia in an area with no internet. I would be too embarrassed to leave my house --never mind go mini golfing int he bible belt then allow a photographer to take my picture??

Smugs and Boob go golfing.  Bet Boob was pissed he didn't have anyone to hump at the mini golf course. Shouldn't Smugs be fixing his relationship with Anna, and getting to know the daughter that was born before he left? Or getting a job? Which will probably be hard, since he's an asshole.

WOW!  From that article:

“Three families with young girls were unhappy Josh was so close to them and left the golf course when they saw him and Jim Bob,” the eyewitness explains.

“The parents were not comfortable,” adds the eyewitness. “The staff tried to be as polite as possible to the angry parents, but it seemed there was little they could do to stop Josh from being a customer.”

Speculating Josh may molest children again.

Wow, so Josh showed up at the Bateses' graduation party? I can't believe he isn't hiding out in a cave somewhere.

Maybe he went to the party so that he could practice the testimony he will give in his redemption tour.

I'm sure this is a stunt to tease a Josh return and gin up interest. How convenient it happened right around the finale of Counting On. Jim Bob wanted that picture taken.

I don't blame the families that fled. It's the kind of treatment Josh deserves for a long, long time.

Wow.

Out golfing?  Why is it that this happens in my mind?

mini golf = dry humping

Josh looks much thinner. Hope he is working on his addictive personality (food, women etc)

Attention mini golf patrons: calm down and get a grip. Josh has zero known history of abducting children and having his way with them behind the mini windmill. You were as safe as if he wasn't there. And if you just don't like the guy and want to put the screws in, be realistic, he can't actually live the rest of life his shackled up in a shed.

The Duggars would've been in a much better position had they EVER come clean (instead of covering up) about what had gone on in their own household, INSTEAD of constantly claiming moral superiority for their 'very conservative family values'.  If, instead of minimizing it later, claiming 'it wasn't rape or anything like that, it was JUST over the clothes, and while the girls were sleeping, and it and worse happens a lot in other families'.  If they had acknowledged how HEINOUS their son's behavior has been. If they had gotten their son REAL counseling for his emerging problem.

They failed epically on all possible levels, so will have now have to live with the disdain and absolute mistrust of the rest of us.

They, who so proudly and self righteously sequestered themselves away from the real world and its'sinners', to the exclusion of even public schooling, are now the very people the rest of us now feel are unsafe.

The rest of us have far more reason now to expect the Duggars to lie, cover up, discount, and merely attempt to pray away their own very real family dysfunction - is it any wonder people now feel uneasy in the presence of such ignorant, self righteous cultists?

Perversely, coming clean to the cops (who documented it all) ultimately ruined their empire.

You have no idea what an untreated, uneducated, man with all kind of self control and superiority issues, who is likely white-knuckling a 'recovery' is capable of. No one does. That said I doubt anything would've happened, but most parents are smarter than Jim Knob and Michelle - they get their kids away from a known molestor. Honestly I'd be more afraid 5 or 10 years from now, when everyone's not monitoring his every blink.

I'd like to see Josh actually defend himself, instead of a lousy PR release and having his entire family act as proxies.

JB is a disease. Josh is a symptom. Wipe out JB and maybe Josh never touches his sisters because instead he masturbates in the bathroom with the door shut and a copy of Victoria's Secret - guilt free - because he knows his friends at school are doing the same thing and they'll all laugh about it at baseball practice.

For that matter, there's no way to know what pretty much anyone outside your circle of reference might be capable of. As you say, 5 or 10 years down the road he might be capable of being a real threat, but for the moment, as long as one remains aware of where their kids are, as they should do anyway, I would think that no one is in any more danger by being in a public place where he also happens to be than they would be from any other random person. Less, if anything, since they will be aware (as the people who removed themselves and their children from the area obviously were) and alert to any suspicious behavior much more than they might be elsewhere.

I am not sure what Josh is in "Rehab" for.

The official reason was "sex addiction", which to a Duggar means anything outside of procreative coitus with a lawful wife. But in reality, it was just a secure, convenient place to stash the family black sheep while they rode out the storm of bad publicity.

I have been to that golf course. It's in the middle of a very touristy area so they were going to get recognized for sure. I'll probably go back in the fall. If I see young girls screaming and running away from the golf course, I'll know why.

I wonder if Anna is teaching her wee ones. She used to talk about doing with flash cards, no?

I think we saw Anna working with Kynzie in one episode when Kynzie was pre-school age. Some kind of workbook I think? I remember Mackynzie being a little upset because she wanted it to be perfect and to get all the answers right but she seemed to like the work nevertheless. I think Anna was pretty hands on with Kynzie when it came to home-schooling, at least at first, but who knows how the latest developements have affected the situation. If the Smuggars are living on the compound, Anna might have handed over the teaching of her kids to that Query girl like Michelle did when Jessa vamoosed.

Mini Golf Moms running away from Josh with the children, screaming, toward the protective cover of the bathroom, but Lo!, a trans-gendered man identifying as a women is in there!  So run screaming to your car where Dad has been looking at porn on his phone while he waits for Mom and the kids to finish golfing. It's a tough world out there when you're overprotective.

He will have to find a way to leave if he wants a life again. He will always have someone with him when he goes out, his wife going through his phone and social media. How can he take it? Does he dare tell Anna to leave him alone. How will this not drive him to betray them just as a reflex?

Anna was shown trying to teach Mackynzie how to write a few letters of the alphabet at the same time she was chasing around a 2-year-old and 1-year-old and trying to keep them entertained.  How can a student focus on anything for 15 minutes in that environment?

In the case of Michelle Duggar, by the time the kids are old enough to read, they have to teach themselves from computer programs and workbooks (which are sold by Gothard's organization and have made him millions of dollars).

The command to homeschool kids is all about making Gothard money, not about the quality of education.

Well, Tabitha Payne is there. I expect they just added the M kids to her schedule. (which would see her schooling kids from pre-school through the end of high school -- wherever that is in Duggardom. Quite a job.)

A one room school house.  How very little house on the prairie.  Except the ingalls were not nearly godly enough.  What with front hugs and all.  And a shirtless pa.

Why should YOU compromise your life because of this fuckwit? Let HIM make the change. It's easy enough to avoid Bumfuck Arkansas.

Hey, I'll jump at any chance to live there.  It really is too nice of a continent for Josh... unless we're  shipping him to Siberia. Then by all means...I'll pack his thrift -store suitcase.

He would NOT! All them heathens about, no a prairie dress in sight, and you have to send your kids to school (some countries do allow educating at home though). And the food......no chickafilla or whatever that thing is called.

Actually, this may be fun...........sure, ship him over to me......*insert very evil smiley here

It still amazes me with that huge TTH, they never had a designated school room(s). IIRC, even  the Bates had one in their old tiny house.  The Duggars have been shown "at school" at the dining room table,  on fold up tables in the playroom, the area upstairs that was originally set up with desk top computers or even in the small closet I think that's in the Girl's Dorm. I realize that with other Homeschoolers it must be nice not to be tied down to a desk or certain area, but when you have that many kids, including the M's, there has to be some type of organization & schedule. Poor Tabitha, I can't imagine trying to keep track of them yet alone their schoolwork.

Mack seems to be a bright girl & from what little we saw,  interested in school. I hope, too, this past year hasn't affected her too much but I'm sure it has.  Once again, the M's & other Duggar kids  will never be allowed to see a counselor like they would have access to if they were in some type of school system.

I think he'd need a lot of support at first. But, actually, I think that with enough support, Josh would be one of the few Duggars who might actually adapt to Europe (and to other non-fundie places) and like them in the long run.

Whatever else he is, to me he's also the only active rebel among the Duggar kids so far.

I also think he's a lazy jerk who has continued to milk his fundie upbringing to earn money and feel part of at least some community. But I don't actually think he believes any of it or that it actually appeals to him in any way. If he survived in a non-fundie environment long enough to be comfortable admitting this (and I do think that it would probably take a dedicated team of counselors and charitable givers to help him survive that long), I think he'd be one who could live among the world's heathens happily and eventually even find work to support himself at least modestly. He's utterly uneducated, of course, and certainly no genius, but I don't believe he's stupid either and he once had ambitions -- which indicate at least a bit of mental energy. In the long long run, I can see him finding heathen lands about a billion times more comfortable an environment than he ever found Duggardom and potentially rallying his somewhat limited abilities to find work, make friends and build some kind of life among the hellbound.

Obviously, since no charity dedicated to supporting him is going to emerge, I expect he'll just lazily fall back on pretending to be a Jizm Bob clone so he can continue sucking on pop's teat to survive. Ain't gonna be pretty, though, in the long run.

Unless Josh has a job lined, and a job that can't be filled locally, I can't imagine any European country will give any sort of work visa to someone with his education, let alone give him residency.

This is the only point I sort of disagree with. In THEORY, or certainly according to the sanctimonious bullshit they spout, yes, ol' Satanic-heart Joshie was rebelling. But the reality of the IPF cult is that his behavior is hardly rebellious and, relatively speaking, quite tame. He's not suffering any consequences for his sexual deviations right now, and he never will. He's probably in a ton of trouble for bringing the gravy train to a screeching halt, but as far as the molesting and cheating, he was off the hook for that before it ever even happened. It ties him to the cult more than ever, because now the only place he can ever be anything other than a sister-molesting, hooker-banging failure with the IQ of a goldfish is inside the IFB.

We have to remember that we, the Duggar followers, know every detail of Joshley's two scandals but does the rest of the country or world know or even care?  Even with me following the Duggars, I know if Josh's resume came across Mr Barb's desk, he may recognize the Duggar name but that would probably be it.  He may remember me talking about something scandalous happening in the family, but wouldn't remember or know it was Josh molesting his sisters.  There's no way he would remember or care about the Joshley Madison thing. If you aren't in the Fundie circles or TLC watcher, you may not have a clue who the Duggars are besides them being the very Christian family who has a lot of kids.  These scandals will become old news, if not totally forgotten especially if the  show isn't renewed. So I can see Joshley & Anna moving out of state & making a go of it in a small town somewhere.

This is why checking references is needed. And in the day and age of Facebook and Google, Josh will probably have a hard time gaining employment outside the Fundy circle.

I think he would have a hard time getting a job outside fundie circles anyway. He's nearly 30 and the only jobs he's held are running his daddy's car lot, and working for an extremist right-wing political organization. Even without the scandals, who would hire him?

I can see the Duggar empire expanding beyond Tontitown.  Josh could head up a crew of 10-16 year old flippers the next town over.  I think that will have to be the primary income for this crew after TLC hits the road.  Ain't gonna support dozens of people flipping a few cars.

If Josh were trustworthy he could take a crew up to D.C. where flipping is really profitable.  But he would needs lots of accountability partners all the time.
