Derek & Heather - he likes her, she's outta there already. This season's David & Ashley, unfortunately. Dude looks like a clown, with that plaid bowtie and the beard and the oddball haircut. No. Just no.

Sonia and ?Nick? - He doesn't want to marry anyone and is feeling absolutely nothing. She looks like a combination of Jessica Rabbit and the "Hello Kitty" lady from Millionaire Matchmaker. He's an introvert and she's kinda flaky and goofy. Don't see this going anywhere.

Lillian and BusBoy - surprisingly, they seem to have hit it off right away! We'll see!

That wedding in the rain was killing me. Why didn't they go inside? There was a building behind them & their reception was inside. Lillian's hair was a mess the rest of the night, and the groomsmen in particular were drenched. I would not be trying to stand out there in a fucking downpour.

Heather (who was showing too much cleavage at a wedding for my taste) rolled her eyes when her husband kissed her shoulders - she's not feeling it.

I think Sonia looked beautiful (her hair is gorgeous), but totally different than her everyday look. She looked like she wanted to throw up the entire ceremony though.

Well, my drinking game was a success. Every time they said "stranger," I took a shot when they said stranger. Feeling good.

Surprised by Lillian and her new hubby. I like them so far. Yeah, she's young, but it could work.

Heather seems like a cold fish already. She doesn't seem into it all.

Sonia's voice grates on my nerves. I'm not liking the Jessica Rabbit thing. He seems shy and reserved.

Lily and Tom were adorable, I have to say. They've got some issues to overcome but as of now I'm really rooting for them (especially since they won't be living in his bus during the show).

Heather and Derek are a total fail, but neither one seems like a nightmare yet, so hopefully it won't get too bad.

Sonia and Nick are a big question mark for me. She's so bubbly (though her voice kind of grates) and he's so... just there. Works in some couples but I feel like she's going to be stressed by his silence.

Nick isn't feeling Sonia at all. I don't see this working out. And it took her 10 minutes to say ' I do' at the ceremony.

Was the first and third ceremony at the same place, hotel, wherever?

Heather seems like a cold fish.

Lily and Tom were really into each other. But I can't wait to see her reaction to living in a bus. I would say they are the only ones who might  make it but I watched the previews for the rest of the season...I'll just leave that there.

I am hoping that Nick is just reserved because he didn't seem into Sonia at all. And I think she totally noticed that too. But to be fair, Nick seemed to have shut off the moment he was told the experts had found a match for him.

Derek  does have a nice face, as Heather said. But, I dunno, his perky optimism rang a little false with me. I'm not feelin' them at all.

Tom and Lily were so darned cute. I could see where the rain was actually sort of neat and maybe enhanced the drama and emotion at the moment. I wished they had taken some time and redid poor Lily's hair and makeup a bit. I know if I had been the bride, I would have insisted on it. I know the previews put a huge Uh-Oh over the bus thing, but I think it's something Lily can get over.

I dont know how the experts could have picked someone as shy and reserved as Nick to be on national TV and marry  stranger.... this had to be for ratings. The fact that he couldnt even say she was pretty is a huge turn off. Also, hearing it after his mother told him to say it to her just makes it worse, like it is so immature that his mom needs to tell him how to treat a lady when you are 32. Sonia is pretty, she seems like someone who should be hosting a toddler TV progrm IMHO because I want to put a safari hat on her; she just looks like Dora the Explorer to me I dont know why.... The bright red lipstick was not a great idea to wear to meet your husband; it would have been better to wear subtler-toned makeup so he could see what she really looked like.

Yeah, even shy men, which Nick claims to be, will generally tell a woman she looks pretty if they think so without prompting. "You look/are pretty" is a very safe compliment. Sonia is the prettiest of the three women, IMO, but Nick wasn't acting like he was attracted to her.

I said initially that he seemed dull but I think he really is shy. Now it's Heather who is coming across as dull to me - and she has kind of a mean face*, so I feel like I'm not going to like her.

*This isn't about attractiveness - she just kind of has resting bitch face.

Lily was crying saying "I can't believe he called me materialistic" I KNEW IT! I knew he would. He considers every woman who doesn't want to live in that damn bus with him a materialistic, stuck up princess.

I enjoyed this whole episode.  My Lily girl was so warm and fun and she likes camping and the outdoors!!  Who would guess that? This could work. Tom seems over the moon about her.

I like Derek alot.  He seems so open and loving.  I knew Heather was going to be a bit dour from her previews.  She has trust issues. She did better than I thought but she is not very lighthearted.  I can see where her insecurities can cause trouble.

Nick and Sonia-- l said before, shades of Ashley and David.  I think he does like her okay but he is so closed off.  He gives nothing--not even a compliment or kind or reassuring word.  Can he actually be that shy and be out in the world dealing with clients??  He may be a great guy somewhere on the inside but as someone described he's a statue. I don't think Sonia will hang on to delusions like David did.

At least we didn't have the clown act we saw last season.  I have more hope for these couples--at least the first 2.

I kind of had hopes for all of them until I saw the season's previews.  In years past, they would do everything to make it appear the couples stayed together, where tonight, and maybe it was just me but I don't think so, it appeared they did everything to make it appear they would not stay together.  Tom really surprised me...I did not get a good vibe on him last week but he seemed over the moon with Lillian.  But then...dum dum dum....they show the bus.  Could it have been any worse?  The outside is atrocious.  Just can't see the inside being much better, I'm afraid.  If he turns in to the kind of guy that will not budge on living elsewhere, I will be pissed at the experts.  Because as someone else said, that's what happened to Davina and Shawn.  As for Derek and Heather, I'm thinking they both want to be married enough that they will work things out, hopefully.  Their biggest problem will be her airline schedule.

Finally, Nick and Sonia.  They were definitely my favs last week.  Nick seems like the kind of guy that does not like to say or show his emotions in public.  He seemed really uncomfortable standing up at the altar (or whatever it was), but who of us isn't/wasn't when we had to do it.  It's tremendously stressful.  Found Sonia's attack of nerves a little contrived, or maybe they just edited it that way and had it sound like the preacher had to prompt her several times.  But when it was just the two of them he seemed very relaxed.  I think he's super shy instead of just being extremely laid back, which is how it seemed.  It gave the false (IMO) impression that he wasn't into her, when I think he does find her pretty.  He should have said something though, since she was complimenting him so much (hint hint).  Mom needs to keep her nose out of it.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but there is something genuine about most of them!

I love Lilly! I would like to know one thing...why didn't anyone pull her aside after the ceremony and fix her hair??? Isn't that what bridesmaids are supposed to do or look out for things like that??? But I'm digging them as a couple now.

Derek is a cutie and seems like an easy going guy in my opinion. I don't get the douchy vibe some people are...Heather seems like she will shut down on him.

The concern I have about Nick and Sonia is that she's trained to talk to people and can read on emotions as well as behavioral patterns. She's gonna for him to open up and I'm afraid he will push back. They have potential to be great if she doesn't try to counsel him and he comes out of his shell. I didn't care for the tone he had toward her in the previews.

Again, the MAFS train wreck has me feeling all sorts of emotions. Here's to hoping at least one couple stays together!

As the other 2 said. It was not good when they showed it in the one episode. If I heard right he had been working on it for 2 yrs and it looked like it did. That is what got me. 2 yrs for not much. I know a pic was posted of what his kitchen area looks like now but it was so dark and cold looking to me. Its horrible. I have seen ones that actually look nice, light and airy but that is not his.

I don't have it on here yet so just reading all the comments but I have to say that if what I am reading from everyone on him is how it is in the episode then I really wonder if its not that he is shy but something else. I haven't seen if anyone else has caught it or not but I got this major vibe from him when he was going to pick the ring out. Will see how it is with him though when I finally get to watch the episode in the morning.

Heather's dress definitely gave the wrong impression. Miss 'the kisses r too much'. I have a feeling she might sabotage the marriage. The 'I havnt dated a nice guy' comment is giving me that vibe.

I love Sonia but it would be difficult to live with someone that hides his feelings. Straight face all the time.

I enjoyed this season's weddings better than last season

Lily and Tom both seem so sweet and in to each other; I don't want to see otherwise! I really like Sonya too and she seems very nice; Nick seemed very serious and not really in to her. When he said "I love her" to his friends in a monotone voice, i was seriously wondering what was wrong with him. If he holds everything back, why in the world did he want to get fixed up this way?

I thought Heather and Derek seemed OK. Heather is not a bubbly type but neither and I and I'm still a nice person. They both seemed to like each other well enough. They actually seemed the most normal to me; I love how Lily and Tom acted but most people won't have that immediate sense of being a couple. Derek is cute to me and Heather is pretty, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them.

Shout out for the Hello Kitty lady reference from MilMatch.

Sonia has the big smile, over lipsticked lips but NOT the disproportionate gum to teeth ratio like Hello Kitty lady.

Wanna bet Nick is going to make Sonia pay many times over in the next 6 weeks for not immediately saying "I do"

He is already with holding affection by not telling her she looks pretty.

Nick is the new Ashley, cold fish, empty heart.

Saying he loved Sonia to the bridesmaids was weird, when it was obviously awkward and what was that?

Sonia is the new Sam, full on insecurities and acts like she didn't take her mood medicine today.

Derek talks like he is doing a Humphrey Bogart impersonation with the full squint.

Heather is throwing so much shade that Derek must think he is in a cave.

Poor Derek can't do anything right, not his fault.

Derek is the new Neil, poor bastard.

Heather is the new Ashley, we have a double Ashley this season.

Who will be the most unfeeling and dead eyed?

I'm betting on Nick.

Lily's sister, you weren't on the bridal party because you are a bully and a byotch.

Big sis, Marian is so jelly that Lily got the show.

Producer forced them to put the confrontation on TV,  the sisters have had plenty of words about her being left out already, duh.

Lily is the new Honeymoon phase Jessica, ready to drop her panties.

Tom looks genuinely happy and pleased...for now.

I am rooting for Tom and Lily big time.  I saw love at first sight happening. They fell into each other.  The crying we saw with Lily,  in the previews, was just a clip from her feeling inferior and insecure, nothing about them not working out.  They may not but that clip was staged to foster doubt.  As for her sister making a scene, that was producer generated.  It smacked of UnReal.  In real life with a camera on you, no way would she have said that.  She was aware of the circumstances ahead of time.

I have NO hope for Heather.  She can't be cordial?  Good god.

It is SO unfortunate that Lily's hair is so very thin.  She has a beautiful face but when she wears her hair down and straight (wedding prep show) she does not look as attractive.  She needs a shorter hair cut, not something Hispanics EVER go for.

Yes.

I didn't watch last season, closely, (binged watched and distracted)  so I did not get your comparisons.  I like to hope that all are individuals and this will be a fresh experience for us.  This happens on many shows.  Posters tag contestants as last season's so and so.

Lily and Tom had the most fun at their wedding of all the couples, and seemed to really like each other.  What could possibly go wrong?

I liked seeing Nick and Sonia dancing - that was the most natural and relaxed they were together all night.   I don't see this one working out at all.  Communication between these two will be terrible.

I think Heather did mostly ok with Derek.  But saying she's never dated anyone is a sign of trouble ahead.  She has walls up, and Derek is going to have a hard time getting past them, and he's eager enough to keep trying.

How is it possible that Sonia and Nick stood awkwardly silent during their show-imposed champagne break after the ceremony? They know nothing about each other and literally have everything in the world to ask and discuss.

Exactly what Ashley and David did last season.  Not a good omen.

Love Lillian and Tom together - - they were clearly both into each other and seemed genuinely pleased and happy to learn more about each other.  I too kind of liked the novelty of rain during the ceremony which I've always heard is good luck.  Nice that the sun came out in time for the husband and wife pronouncement.  I did hate that so much effort went into Lillian's hair and makeup and it was thrashed.  But I still thought she looked lovely.

I thought Heather looked much better in her THs/confessionals with straight hair and little/no makeup.  Her wedding day look did NOT suit her at all.  I said last week that I really disliked her dress.  Still do.  Too much boobage IMO and the waistline was either too low and wasn't tailored correctly.  I would guess she probably has a nice figure but that dress made her appear squat.  Anyhow, while I can understand that she wasn't ready to be kissy with Derek, her eye roll when he was kissing her shoulder said just about everything.  Why is Derek so squinty?  Was he that way last week?  Was he stoned?  I know he said he didn't smoke but . . .

I like Nick.  He seems like a more introverted version of Neal.  He was clearly nervous, as was Sonia.  I think the nervousness made her more quiet; the quiet seems to be more normal for him.  Hopefully they can find some common ground and good communication.

The new sexologist reminds me of Jamie Otis.

Pleasantly surprised with the men so far this season (compared to last year).

Tom was very gracious in introducing himself to Lilly's family, how he treated her at the altar, and through out the night. Real chemistry. Glad he found her attractive.

Nick, says the right things in the talking heads. Otherwise is fairly mute. Seems like he's going to be really sarcastic. That's not going to be a good match.

Derek showed some promise and then, douchy frat boy rooster head started to emerge. Heather soured quickly. Her dress wasn't fitted - wonder if that's why she walked like she was bowlegged.

Nick scares me.  Someone needs to check for a pulse.  His mama seemed a little better this week.  I wondered how he felt about those big red lips and all that hair coming at him.  And that voice... Definitely see the Hello Kitty thing going on and won't be able to shake it now.

Heather is kind of depressing. It began in the matching show when she said she obviously can't keep a man, progressed to her premarital meltdown and continued through the wedding. Derek seemed friendly and warm. Her words of approval didn't seem to match the way she looked.

24 year old Lillian shouldn't be there yet, I don't think, but nice that they seem to actually like each other.  Tom seemed warmer than he appeared during the initial bus tour.  At least they're trying.   Should be an interesting season...

Ugh. I kept looking at the thin spots in Lilly's hair during the wedding and reception. Tom is going to be sad when he sees her normal thin, flat hair.

Sonia is the prettiest and she has inspired me to wear brighter lipstick.

I have to agree.

I was only half watching last night, as part 1 of the reunion of Shahs of Sunset was also on.  But from what I saw, Nick looked very nervous and seems shy; Sonia doesn't seem shy at all.  Nick's mom said that he holds everything inside, some people are like that.  Nick might be a good guy, but it's hard to tell how people act in strange situations.  I adore Sonia and love her beautiful, thick, wavy hair.  To me she looks better without all that make up.  And Sonia doesn't remind me of that "Hello Kitty" lady from the Millionaire Matchmaker at all, that lady's nuttier than a fruitcake and BTW, she's on Patti's new show on WeTV.

As for getting married in the rain, it looked like Miami is like the Caribbean, where it pours down for about ten minutes and then the sun comes out and it was like it never rained, maybe that's why they stayed outside.  I'm glad that Tom and Lilly are into each other, but then again weren't Ryan and Jessica into each other in the beginning?  Then again, Lilly hasn't seen that bus yet.

I enjoyed this episode, and liked all the couples' reactions to each other, although Sonia's concern right off the bat is a bit telling.  They all seem like promising matches, but then, I thought the same of at least one couple from each of the two previous seasons and they all crashed and burned.  So, will continue to watch and hope that things end well for all of them.

I'm not sure what Lily is supposed to do about that.  I suppose fillers may help.  Does it mean she goes into the reject pile because of that?  I think Tom is digging her beautiful face, full lips and big brown eyes.  I don't think his attraction is all about her looks either. If she was a cold fish I don't think any of it would matter.  She's warm and fun, and carries herself with poise and grace.

Nick reminds me of a young family member of about the same age.  She was doted on and 'spoken for' to make up for her "shyness" .   She has become obliviously self-absorbed, never taught to think of how others feel or put herself out there to be warm or caring about others. To this day parents make excuses for her and even apologize for how self-centered she is. She makes no effort to show interest in others (because she has none).  Unfortunately I see Nick's mom doing the same.  I think NIck is ripe for being a 3 glasses-of-wine-a-night drinker who loosens up but then can get a bit nasty.  Just my prediction.

Ugh Ryan.  He had a snake-eyed sneer on his face from the moment he met Jessica.  He had her pegged as a common 'club chick' and had no respect for her (or any woman for that matter)   I see two much better quality people in Tom and Lily, I hope there is no comparison there.

Editing makes us think she took a long time to say I do but really it was probably right when she should have. Which is part of why I hate how they edit this show. I think Nick will just go through whatever motions but he isn't into her and wouldn't have been no matter who the girl was I think.

Derek to me comes off like he is drunk or that he is high. I wouldn't want to be with that either. I wouldn't even compare him to Neil but that is just me. LOL

Derek looks either high or drunk or both all the time to me with his squinty eyed look. He was that way last week too. If he came off this way to Heather I can see her turned off. I think the shoulder kissing was producers telling the photographer to get them to do something that could come off awkward for these couples.

We have had other guys go up to the bride's families and introduce themselves. I think for the guys that do it it may help nerves a little and make them look polite in this situation at the very least. Which isn't always a bad thing of course.

Nick I think is just not into this whole thing at all.

With Nick maybe he holds things inside when it comes to his mom because he can't tell her certain things. I don't see him as a bad guy but I think in many ways he did this for his mom. So he just was married to some girl to make his mom happy that he was hitched already. There is something else going on with this guy and the so called "experts" should have seen it from the beginning honestly.

And agree on the whole Tom and Lily thing...she hasn't seen this bus yet...and look how fast some fizzled when they were hot and heavy early on. That and how would she feel if he wants to be out on his board every day for as long as he can? Remember that surfing in his world.

I am assuming that you are insinuating that Nick is gay. I read a few comments online from prole doubting his sexuality. Do I think he is gay? NO. I think he is just supershy and an introvert who can't express himself. Does that make him gay? NO.

From unfiltered, the parents and friends attested to the fact that they (Sonia and Nick) were attracted to each other so I dont think we saw the full story.

I feel like all the voice-overs of him saying she was pretty were added after the fact because the others are seen saying those things still in their wedding attire. I would have given good money to be there when she takes off all that make-up. If he didn't think she was pretty before homeboy is in for a quite a surprise. I'm sure when someone at the wedding said "what's that smell" the answer was "doom, failure of epic proportions, sadness and disappointment"

Derek and Heather seems to happen on their honeymoon since he's wearing his "hubby" shirt. It seemed like a lot of built-up impatience for people who only have known each other a few days.

I'm with those who think Heather is coming off as cold so far. C'mon experts! You cannot pick people for this show who have sticks up their butts!
