An interesting question posed by someone on reddit. Might the Jill and Jinger's decisions to show their spawn only from the back be an effort to limit said spawn from coming back some day for their share of the earnings of mama and daddy's social media money?

No idea how that might play out, but it is an interesting thought.

I don't think they are thinking that far ahead. They both stopped showing the kids' faces during FF's trial. I think both sisters tied their children's images to being victims of child porn.

I'm pretty sure Jinger stopped showing their faces when pushing their first book, because in that book she talked about her family's lack of privacy. I think there are maybe two frontal pics of newborn Evie, who was born late 2020.

Jill was still doing family vlogs in late 2021 when she posted her 10 part Oregon vacation and stopped regularly posting the boys' faces in early 2022.

Josh was arrested mid 2021 and sentenced a year later in mid 2022.

My opinion… and it is only my opinion which counts for absolutely nothing… is Jing and Jerm think they are all that since they live in LA. They are not celebrities, even though they think they are. And nobody cares about their kids, even though they think we do. And I think Jill was just following suit because she could. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I wonder if they had to wait for their contract to expire/get cancelled. Felicity was on the show for awhile before their “privacy” epiphany. I don’t blame them for wanting privacy but it didn’t start when they had the first.

I agree, but to be fair, Jinger was saying she didn't have a choice to be private when growing up on TV and with all the "fellowshipping" her parents did. She wasn't saying she wants privacy now as an adult. 

It does look like she, and Jill, are trying to keep their kids relatively private at this point.

I still contend that just showing the backs of kids heads is not keeping them private.  They want it both ways because they have nothing else in their lives but the kids.  Derick's JB vendetta aside, that goes for Jill too.

That's just it...they want it both ways!  The kids will probably thank you if you just stop the half-assedness and keep their pictures limited to family and friends.  You know, the people they actually KNOW.

I’m not convinced Jing didn’t like being on camera, when they were moving to the house they bought, there was a post or story about how sad she was to remove the pieces of tape that the film crew used to know where furniture needed to be position (or something along those lines) 

maybe early on she didn’t like it but by the time filming finished I think she more than okay with filming

Agreed. I find it very performative. I also find it incredibly counterproductive. You're not showing their faces, but you're still drawing attention to them.

But since you can't see their faces makes it ok, right? So nobody knows what they look like? They're so ridiculous.

It makes people even more interested in finding out more about the kids, imo. Especially unhinged potential stalkers.

Yeah blanking out their faces isn't dissuading perverts. Posting pictures about your kids without their faces is still giving them all sorts of information about your daily habits and what your kids still look like.

I actually think it would be less intrusive if they posted yearly portraits of the kids and no pictures of their activities.  The pictures of their backs just looks stupid and doesn't satisfy curiosity as much as a simple portrait would.

Yes this!!!!  I cannot fault the idea of "protection/privacy,"  but I can definitely fault the execution of this plan. A few random back shots once in a blue moon - fine. But Jill is ramping up her back shots as she tries to sell her book. Jinger doing the same. It's blatant and obvious exploitation under the guise of being "protective."

The connection to NC seems to be through the pastor of the church where Jer preaches at the camp. It's not clear how they hooked up. Maybe the pastor was a Counting On fanboy who slid into Jer's DMs. 😃

I keep thinking about how Jeremy characterized the entire Book of Psalms about seeking happiness when in reality quite a bit of the book is about what seems like textbook depression. Some of them are just really bleak. In fact, I am pretty sure there are more of them that are laments than exuberant outbursts of happiness or joy. If I'd been sitting through a sermon and a pastor said that, I'd internally roll my eyes and assume they hadn't read the whole book if they just reduced the psalms to being about happiness.

Some people say the Hebrew root of the word psalm is to praise so they go with it being a book of praises without considering things like Psalm 51.  Jeremy seems shallow enough to go Psalm means praise and praise equals happiness.

Jinger just posted the video of their trip to Arkansas. Not sure why she waited so long, They appeared to be one big happy family. They few into Texas and Justin and Claire went out with them. There was no JB talking I am not sure there was even a glimpse of him, I may have missed it.  Jill seemed to be driving Jinger around on their sister's/girls day. They stayed with Joy and Austin and different family came by, Jana and Jason stayed late. The went to dinner with Joe and Kendra and kids.  What I would like to see/hear are the conversations that were not on the vlog.  I didn't pay enough attention to catch anything interesting. Edited to add I see on Reddit that there is a shot of Lauren pregnant at the time of the visit.

I didn't watch. Is this the one from a while back when Joy was still pregnant? Pre SHP and Jill's book announcement?

Yes, Joy put out her vlog shortly after the visit and the pictures they took were posted the beginning of April but the visit was probably in March. Joy should have taken more time to edit hers; Jinger's  was edited much better. Joy talks too much and her camera work is jerky.  It still seems odd on the trip they stayed with Joy instead of her BFF Jessa. Though the whole family get together was at Jessa's (I think).

I wondered about that too. Maybe the 4 kids are too much for the Vuolos, maybe the risk-your-life bunkbed was off putting or maybe it had something to do with Jinger's book.

Jeremy spending the day with Austin was too funny.  Watching Austin shop for stuff at Lowes, watching Austin load equipment onto a trailer, etc.  You could just hear Jeremy's inner thoughts:  "Will this day never end?!"  But Jinger later says that Jeremy loves Austin.  Okaaaay.

It was cute to see how excited Jinger and Jill were to hear their names on the radio.

Re Jinger and Jeremy riding through the campus of the University of Arkansas and Jinger talking about how beautiful the campus is, I wonder if she was thinking about how she could have gone to that school and gotten a degree if things would have been different.
