Not sure if any of you have had the chance to check out Pickles, but she has some updated pictues, including a shot of Jeremy's parents. Mrs. Vuolo looks absolutely stunning. She wore a navy gown with beading at the top of the bodice. Michelle should be ashamed to have shown up to her daughter's wedding looking like she just rolled out of bed.

Can someone share?

The bridesmaid dresses seem too long to me.  Like they were dragging on the ground.  The colors were a bit too somber, imo.  Jinger looked lovely, though.  I haven't seen a full pic of Michelle's dress, only that video by the piano.  The Vuolos seem far classier than the Duggars (low bar there), so I hold out hope that Jeremy will be a positive influence on Jinger and make a more normal life for them.

ETA I don't think Jeremy allowed a trashing of the "just married" car.  That's a point in his favor too.  The Duggar humor is so juvenile!

There's a pic from the DailyMail site where it's clear from the profile that the dress was a sleeveless one that they added some kind of insert to to make it modest. That always looks awkward to me. Do modest dresses not exist off the rack, or is it easier/cheaper to do it this way? So far the only dress that I think looked really good was Jessa's because hers was made that way.

IMO the dress hasn't been altered for modesty.  I think it was like that when she bought it, but I may be wrong.  They're a handsome couple.  I'm very envious of their honeymoon destination.  I would kill to go to Australia/New Zealand.  I'm also praying she doesn't get pregnant for, at least, a couple of years.  I'd like to see her enjoy life without kids for the first time ever!

I totally agree.  This phenomena seems to exist in other places, as well.  I've been watching "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding" and am really surprised at how similar their child rearing is to the Duggars'.  Where there are certainly differences (dress, behavior), the similarities are many.  Their girls are trained to be at home, raising babies and keeping house.  Few attain a high school diploma, let alone a college degree.  They are sheltered from boys and meet them only at events.  The girls are not permitted to be alone with a boy until they are married and their communication with said boys is closely monitored.  Girls marry very young (16-ish) and tend to have babies young.  According to the show, the majority of the girls marry boys who they barely know, much like the Gothard girls.  And many marriages are arranged because of the strict segregation between boys and girls...no real opportunity for getting to really KNOW someone before jumping into a courtship.

I just can't fathom how these young, inexperienced girls can go from the protection of their parents and family to full-on housewife, mother and willing HEY hey HEY participant at the drop of a hat.  There is no life experience there!!!  They can't automatically know what to do without having lived it and learned.

Because the girls don't matter in any personal sense? They're just tools to allow the boys to get what boys want in a biological sense -- lots of orgasms, the many little send-my-DNA-into-the-future kidlets that follow those orgasms, and three squares a day? And wives ignorant, inexperienced, young and scared enough to do just exactly what the men say? That's what any patriarchal group or males-have-the-upper-hand group is about, seems to me. There's no logic to it. Just the males secure that their own biological imperatives can have free rein and structuring their "culture" accordingly.

Can't remember Smuggette's dress tbh. But this wedding seems outside the box for the Duggars.

Going to New Zealand and Australia for a honeymoon is an odd choice though. They're heading towards summer there, isn't there enough sun in Arkansas or Texas? It's not exactly the usual tourist destination. New Zealand will have some gorgeous landscape I'll wager, but still.......

Edit, yes M'lady, I totally agree:-)) It was quite an adjustment for me to move out, to a different country no less, and be on my own. And I wasn't at all brought up like a Fundie. But to be with a guy you barely know, all alone, when you've been reared to believe that lust is sinful, you simply cannot just turn it off.

Maybe they like interesting landscapes, wildlife, and ocean beaches? I mean, we don't have any idea what Jinger's or Jeremy's personal preferences and interests are, if they have any. I agree that New Zealand is stunning. But I adore Australia as well. I've seen koalas and kangaroos in city parks! And the beaches are incredible. And much more. It's a beautiful and fascinating country if you have the right interests.......

Of course, the Seewalds went to Europe,  And I didn't get the impression that Jessa, especially, had the slightest interest in going there or gave a crap about it. So maybe the producers just choose these things because they figure the audience wants to see something different each time?

I don;t think it was modified, either. Kinda looks to me as if it has a sweetheart top with lace above and over that and going into the sleeves. I've seen lots of gowns with that structure. ......

Yep, for all she knew or cared, Jessa could have been in Kansas City instead of Paris. Oblivious ignorant entitled brat. Bah.

I don't know about the producers choosing such a long-haul trip for the JinJer honeymoon, given the ratings and advertiser situation for the show. I wonder if they proposed Italy, which is a much shorter plane trip from Tonitown, and can be freaking romantic, and Jeremy countered with Down Under.

We'll probably never know, but it makes me wonder if Jeremy's going to be a better negotiator with TLC than Boob. After seeing how Boob all but actually peed all over Jeremy's territory in those courting/engagement episodes in Texas, while Jeremy just blew it off, methinks Jeremy's going to be a headship in fact as well as in theory. Unlike Ben. Even if Boob gets Jeremy to move to Arkansas with a storefront church, I just don't see Jeremy rolling over and showing his belly to his father in law.

Heck. Maybe next season we'll see some real conflict and drah-mah from these boring asshats.

Where the pic of a thinner Josh? I only see the one with his big fat head.

Someone did a zoom on the Daily Fail pic linked here (posted above as I try to type on my now-balky phone keyboard) .  Looks like he and Boob both went on a crash diet for the wedding...or to bring Smuggar back with a plotline.

It also occurred to me that Boob may have opened his wallet to save the show, trying to normalize the crazy that lurks underneath. It seems like renewal was recent; the brass probably wanted to see what the wedding would look like first. As for the honeymoon, maybe asked for cash in lieu of gifts? She also got some TLC checks this season. Or maybe a gift from Jeremy's parents? I dunno if it's a TLC comp, since three weeks ago, the wedding was going to be the season finale. Now, it's only a "glimpse." God help us if they bring Slim Shady Smuggar back as last minute filler.

Good point about the honeymoon. Maybe it's not a TLC comp. There goes my "Jeremy as a good negotiator" theory.

I wonder how long the honeymoon will be. New Zealand is about an 18 hour time difference from the US, and an extra hour if Arkansas is on Central time. They're young, but if that were me, I'd need about a week just to adjust to the time. It must also take a good 15-18 hours to fly there, too. I wouldn't bet on Jinger having a honeymoon baby unless they're going to be away for at least 2 weeks.

Hmmm....Jinger had 10 bridesmaids. I guess Anna in her red dress could have matched up with Valerie's dress then, and there was another beige, lavender, silver and purple? Although as MOH, I would imagine Jessa got her own color. I don't know how that worked. But this isn't the same place that did Jill's dresses. She went to Ava Laurenne.

Pic with tweet is too large to post, but the post says that the dresses were "designed" by a woman named Renee, who owns the shop. Probably still off the rack, but her original design? She also did Jinger's dress. Located in Pensacola, Florida, so that trip to DC was all staged for TLC cameras. What a waste!

I can't tell what josh looks like just from the head. I'll need to see the body (ick). He looks less pasty white (maybe the guy got out and worked in the sunlight?), and he's got his hair super short on the sides.

Personally, the affairs with hookers or whatever is probably the most normal thing Doughboy has ever done. Not cool of course with a family. But compared to incest?! Holy crap, not even in the same league. And the affairs are what everyone seems to consider the scandal. That's just sickening. I guess coming back onto topic -  I can't stand to see the guy attending his sisters' weddings. If I were the grooms I'd want to beat the hell out of him.

Jinger looks beautiful. I'm still wondering if she and Jessa have conspired to get Ben out of nowhere land and get him into Jeremy's church. The sisters could be together, and Ben can start a life independent from the compound. Of course now that I've wished that to happen, watch, Jeremy will end up the new owner of the car lot and living in Arkansas. Urgh

Shall we start the betting pool for how soon, after prayerful consideration and wise counseling from Jimbob, that Lord has laid it upon the Vuolo's hearts for this season of life to purpose to move to NW Arkansas to serve Him in a new ministry?

Im thinking either by Valentine's Day or when Jinger gets pregnant, whichever comes first.

I sort of hope she gets instantly pregnant and can gloat about it.

The bridesmaid dresses remind me of what 60 and 70-year-old women wear on cruises.

They're definitely grandmother of the bride dresses, but at least Jana didn't have to tear up any more tablecloths and stay up all night handsewing them together. Kudos to Jinger for finding real dresses.

First I was going to say right after the new year, but surely TLC wants to milk the "Jinger does Laredo" thing for a bit, so I'm going with the first week of April.

They will most definitely move to Arkansas long before their first anniversary, though. Jeremy is way too enthusiastic about TLC to stay away from the primary filming location for long.

Looks like the Boob/Mechelle video was taped the day before at the reception site, likely right before the rehearsal dinner. Boob wore a gray suit with a purple shirt to the wedding. Haven't seen what Mechelle came up with yet, but if he wore gray.....

I noticed that as well. Part of me is relieved Michelle didn't wear that God awful shirt to the wedding; but the other part is filled with trepidation to see what sort of disaster she came up with for her MOTB dress. I have a feeling they're both going to look ridiculous next to the Vuolos.

Is Boob sporting the same gray suit from Jill & Jessa's weddings?  Has it become his Wedding suit? It was originally from Jill's but he wore a blue shirt with it to Jessa's. I'm no fashion guru, but always think of light colored suits being worn in the spring & summer, not the fall. I'm thinking MEchelle may have worn purple to match his shirt.

@Bitter Betty THANK YOU for uploading these. The photo editing abilities on this laptop are awful; I can't shrink the size of anything. :/

Remember, Mechelle could have also matched Boob's suit with the TIN MAN DRESS like she did at Jilly Muffin's wedding. Lord knows, it has enough MODEST layers for a November wedding. *massive eyeroll*

Another of Smuggar. Definitely NOT in the wedding party, since the groomsmen wore light gray suits. eta: He hasn't lost THAT much weight. His face definitely looks fuller from this angle than from straight on and his gut is still visible. He doesn't look that small from the side view (phone pic) either.

No problem! I'm losing track of which pictures I've seen here and which I've only seen on other sites, or I'd upload more of the ones you haven't been able to bring over.

It appears that JD was the only adult Duggar male in the wedding party.

I'm surprised Joseph wasn't a groomsman - I thought he and Jinger were close. At least that's what she said in a recent episode. Maybe Babe just had so many non-Duggars he wanted, that there just wasn't room.

US Magazine has an article about it. Details, including food, on the reception:

"According to the insider, guests noshed on meatballs, cheese, crackers and veggies at the reception, with three flavors of cupcakes for dessert: chocolate, cranberry and pumpkin.

'There was no first dance at the reception, no dancing at all,' the source added, citing the family’s religious background. Additionally, both Jeremy and Jinger’s fathers made speeches."
