Oh, and Jenelle can kiss it as far as her concern over Jace taking Vyvanse for his ADHD. If Barb says he's improved that much, I believe her and I'm happy for Jace. I have ADD and wasn't medicated until I was an adult (I take what Jace takes but I'm not taking it now because I'm pregnant) and sometimes I wonder how different my life could have been had I been on these meds in high school or earlier.

Since Jenelle has admitted to smoking pot while pregnant with Jace, she can miss me with all her faux concern over him taking a legitimately prescribed controlled substance, especially when he's in the 1st/2nd grade, she maybe sees him a few days out of the year, and isn't involved at all in his education/regularly communicating with his teachers.

Nordic, same here! Diagnosed as an adult and it makes me sad to think about how much time and energy I wasted trying to be "normal" when that wasn't ever how my brain was going to work. The opportunities I spurned or spazzed over.

I was so mad at Jenelle for being worried about "down the road" with Jace's friends and a controlled substance. Fuck you, lady. She wants it for herself. Does she have to pay lip service to not medicating her child? Maybe if she could provide a stable home and lots of resources to making sure Jace had the proper diet and lots of one on one therapy and perhaps an aide, she could avoid medication. MAYBE. But medication works for him, he's thriving despite her shitty choices as a mom.

So shut it Jenelle.

I'd like to hear Jeremy's side of the story.  Especially since he's been at Chelsea's house which is about seven miles from one of the bases of operation for the big pipeline project that is currently going on in SD.

I hate the faces Leah makes when she's talking.  Especially the one where she furrows her brow and tries to come up with an answer to the simplest question.  Seriously, someone can ask her if it's raining and she makes her deep concentration face before she answers.  If that was anyone else, I'd think they were trying to look smart, but I really think she's that dumb.

Barb was so cute.  She loves her fame.  I'm glad to hear the Jace is getting some help.  Barb has always shown a lot of concern about his education and I hope things are going better for the poor kid.

Am I missing something about the sanctity of doing one's make-up? Is Jenelle really trying to have us believe that her own mother and boyfriend were not allowed in her room because she was perfecting her contour? It's not exactly a Brazilian wax or a colonic, it doesn't require complete privacy... Jenelle must think we're all dumb as rocks if she expects us to believe that.

Plus, the thing is, David WAS in there when Barb arrived. Jace and the little girl were playing in the front yard. Barb goes in and starts calling for Jenelle. David comes OUT of the room, with Kaiser. Jenelle stays in and refuses to come out. So yea, I wouldn't be surprised if the two were doing drugs while Kaiser was confined to his playpen. It was super weird.

I was confused by her use of the word "laid off". She didn't say "fired" or "let go". I've known a lot of union workers in my life; my husband used to be a union sheet metal worker. "Laid off" can just refer to them not having any work at that time, it does not necessarily mean he has no job. Is Germy a union pipeline worker? I have no idea. But yea, I'd like the skinny on where he's living, if he's working, and why he wasn't at the reunion - from someone other than Leah.

It's good that Jace is doing better at school, although unfortunately there's a lot of evidence that kids who have experienced trauma often exhibit ADHD symptoms, so even if he would have had that diagnosis in a stable home, I'm sure everything he's gone through hasn't helped.  Jenelle can shove it about being "worried" about him taking meds.  It is a serious thing for a child to be taking medication, but it just smacks of more faux concern.  If she got custody she'd probably either take him off them without consulting his doctor, or take them herself...

Wait...wtf?  When did this happen?!?

This was while Jenelle and Nathan were furiously talking over one another about who was the bigger piece of garbage. Jenelle said that among other things, Nathan climbed through her window in the wee hours of the morning, found Kiefer in bed, and almost killed him. It's Jenelle, so take her story with a dramastic grain of salt, but Nathan didn't deny it either.

Nathan said that Jenelle was doing Keifer (I think, or was it some other loser) during the time she was supposed to be dating Dumb Ass David. Jenelle denied this and Nathan countered that she knew Dave prior to Tinder because she was already friends with his sister. Nathan also said that David is also a drug addict. I wouldn't be surprised if they all are addicts and know each other through their mutual drug connections. Like the addicts in Heroin, USA.

So...

1. Nathan says Jenelle's still a drug addict, which we pretty much know is true, and Jenelle says Nathan is an abuser and broke into her home, which we also know is true...and Sad Panda is pretty much like "oh okay?" Let's bring out David?!

2. Corey and Leah are all openly psyched about T-ball and Dr. Drew doesn't mention the wheelchair a single time, because he's a hack.

Why does MTV still pretend this guy has any sort of integrity?

Also, I feel horrible for Addy. Jeremy doesn't deserve her.

While David scares me, I don't entirely disagree with his stance on calling the police on Barb.  I suppose I could marginalize it to fit my agenda for not liking him by saying he only did it because she was yelling too loudly...but nope.  She was aggressive, yelling in front of kids and refusing to leave the house.  She was rude, belligerent and insulting even after he asked her to stop.  If she'd have walked into my house doing that, bet your bippy I'd have called the police.  I don't care who you think you are, don't come walking into my house yelling.  I don't believe anyone would allow that type of behavior in their home, regardless of who was doing it.

Barb has no boundaries with Jenelle.  Do I believe she was doing her makeup?  Hell no.  But Jenelle is an adult.  If she wants to lock herself in her room doing drugs with her kid...well ok, that's her deal.  If Barb was afraid for her daughter?  Then why didn't she tell Jenelle that through the door.  She and Jenelle are fantastically antagonistic with each other.  I don't fault one more than the other for it, but Barb is no angel in this situation.  Jenelle just didn't HAPPEN the way she is.  Barb had a hand in it, she needs to take some responsibility for that.  Barb has never shown an ounce of affection towards Jenelle that I've ever seen.  She's either yelling, insulting or telling her how to live her life.  I mean, is it a shock that Jenelle runs into the arms of every male within a 6 mile radius that shows her some love?

I do applaud Barb for recognizing that Jace had something going on that needed to be handled with his ADHD, because it seems she didn't do that where Jenelle is concerned.

Am I saying to feel bad for Jenelle?  Nope.  Jenelle is terrible at just about everything.  She needs to grow up, shutup, stop blaming everyone else for her problems and do something with herself.  But Barb has culpability in that and it's infuriating that she gets on that stage laughing and joking like she's just so funny.  Hey lady, your daughter is a trainwreck...what's being shown on this show isn't funny in the least.

They spend too much time talking about old shit with Nathan and Jenelle (I seen ya with Keeefah - the mason jar incident) and he never once addressed the fighting and cursing going on in front of the kids, David yanking Kaiser around and calling him a "little bitch", the fact that Kaiser is always confined in some way, why were Jace and Marisa playing outside by a busy road unattended, etc. etc. He is literally the worst host for this show. One of the kids could do better. Bring on Aubree or Ali!

Very true, Barb instantly starts raising her voice and escalating situations every time she gets frustrated with Jenelle.  Neither of them seem to be able to carry on a conversation longer than a few minutes without either bringing up something contentious or making an accusation that the other one has.  As much as Jenelle is an adult and responsible for her actions at this point, she did not get to be the way she is all by herself.  I guess Barb probably realizes at this point that there's no point in trying to argue on the aftershow because Dr. Drew is an apologist for Jenelle, but it's pretty unsettling watching her joke around about being recognized everywhere when Jace's life is still caught up in their bullshit.  Maybe she'd have cut Jenelle off years ago if not for the MTV money.

I'm fully convinced that Dr. Drew has never once watched the series. He reads the cards and the TelePrompTer. During a segment where they show a clip to the studio audience he makes a grocery list or counts his money. He has no idea who these people are and what shenninngans they're up to.

Corey and Leah -- Why the hell are BOTH these parents letting the kid run bases?!!?! When one of the top specialists in the country tells them she needs to be in the wheelchair?! I don't get it.

I loved that Corey decided not to participate in the bullshit this season and essentially forced Panda to make a bunch of mealy mouthed apologies and revisionist statements about that's not what he was trying to do, etc.  Corey and Miranda were there. TV show aside, these are real people and real relationships and in real life people get lasting hurt by the knock down drag outs that make for good TV...like Leah referencing that Corey cheated on Miranda with her. Like an authority figure (even a bullshit one like Panda) validating and coddling the teen moms and treating them like "talent" instead of people who need to maintain relationships.

I can sort of see Panda treating the girls differently because expecting Jenelle to show the same decision making skills as Chelsea is just an exercise in futility. There are still innocent bystanders who are just trying to have a life and maybe they didn't realize exactly what kind of chaos they were signing up for.

Leah got the easy interview because no one was there to call her on her bullshit, is what I'm saying.

I used to really like Dr. Drew, but I'm so put off by his behavior on this show. He is so desperate (or under some obligation) to give the girls every benefit of the doubt that it's is beyond belief.

Leah does look haggard.  It's a weird comparison, but either she's hitting the gym too hard (which I don't believe), or the "emotional issues for which she sought non-rehab" have really aged her.

Dr. Drew is useless.  He doesn't know any of these people, isn't involved with their stories outside of seeing clips in preparation for the show, and I think it's just irresponsible because MTV portrays it as though he has more involvement.  I think if MTV really cared, there would be some kind of professional involved with these girls after their initial season.  Maybe a team that could help them learn life skills, handle money, counseling, proper nutrition and child-care while still capturing the drama because teenagers...they don't always listen, still plenty of opportunity.  They could've done that as part of their agreement for payment.  I know reality shows started out to be like documentaries where production doesn't interfere, but that's so not the case anymore.  Everyone is on the payroll, just not making the best use of it.  I don't care about the adult shows, the subjects had a chance not to be total train wrecks in their lives so I don't care what's exploited, but these were kids.  Or Not...Bad Girls Club started out that way with a counselor, but I guess getting into stupid fights because bitch touched my makeup brush was more ratings-worthy.

I digress, good for Corey!  Although, it would've been good for Drew to question both Corey and Leah about why their child never uses her chair would've been good, but I guess he didn't see that clip...

Nathan was behaving like such an idiot. He kept trying to drop all these "truth bombs", and you could tell he was hoping for some big reaction. He'd laugh and look all superior. But....um....who cares? So Jenelle was friends with David's sister before dating him? Okay.....? Not seeing the big deal here. You're both horrible people. I'd slap Jenelle too, if she threw water on me while I was sleeping. But who creeps over to the house they left several months ago, slashes the screen, and sneaks in? I disagree that those two are better off apart. They're perfect for each other. I wish their children would be adopted by some lovely people and then they could just live together until they kill each other. Kaiser is nothing more to them as a weapon, so neither of them deserve him, IMO.

I love how Jenelle basically admitted that her relationship with Barb is totally dependent on her boyfriend status. And Drew didn't follow up on that at all. Of course.

Leah's segment got cut awfully short. It was very interesting to hear that Germy lost that good pipeline job he's had forever. And now he's shacked up with his new girl and barely seeing Addie. I never know what to believe when it comes from Leah, but since he wasn't there to defend himself.....which, if he lost the job, why WASN'T he there? So confusing.

Jeremy is still on the pipeline. This was filmed in March. He has been working in South Dakota on the pipeline. You may get laid off but a lot of times when the work picks back up, you get to work again. He's working now.

It's not his house. And only one of the children on the property was his and she wasn't even in the room. I don't care how rude or belligerent Barbara was being to him. He had no right to even tell her to leave the house, let alone sic the cops on her. I wish I could call the police to remove someone from a place we each had the same right to be in just because they were annoying me.

This is playing semantics.

He lives there.  Jenelle allows him to consider it his house.  Therefore, it's his home.  Where his and other children were.  He had EVERY right to tell her to leave when she's making a scene like that in front of his kid.

And it wasn't just ANY place, that's being a bit dramatic and extreme.  It was a home, where children were present.  Barb needed to check herself.

Haven't seen the special yet, but I'm guessing Sad Panda put that in the negative. I actually think Jeremy's work ethic is one of his more positive traits. But try explaining to Leah (or Panda) that some people have to work their asses off to make end's meet and don't get fat paychecks for getting knocked up as teens. Nope, in Teen Mom land, you get knocked down for actually putting your job above the senseless drama.

Did Leah lose weight or something?  Because in this episode she looked very manly, or as Jenelle would say it "God, DUDE!!  You dramastically changed!!  You look like a man, dude!"

Anyway, in this episode, David's eyes looked crazy.  I dunno, but have you ever looked into Charles Manson's eyes?  I'm not saying David is old Charly boy, but eyes say a lot and that is the only thing I could compare it to.

Corey gets an A+ from me for this episode.  He basically said "Dr. Drew, you suck hairy monkey balls" And he looks kind of cute without face fur.  And even better for Miranda not wanting to be on camera at all.  They decided not to get beat up.

Back when Jace's mean ole teacher wouldn't rearrange her schedule for Janelle's classes, and Janelle had to call in for a parent-teacher conference, didn't she say that Nathan thought Jace had ADHD and the teacher said his behavior wasn't consistent with ADHD but was, instead, as a result of him bouncing between Barb and Janelle's homes? I wonder if the teacher really thought that or was willing to just say what MTV wanted her to say because the entire episode was the behaviors of the kids when returning from the non-primary parent. Or, what I'm thinking now, it was a reenactment with a producer playing the part of a teacher.

There was a great scene in that episode where Leah was trying to tell one of her friends/family members that the kids were bad when they returned from Corey's, and Addie was behind her acting like the Tasmanian Devil who just mainlined honey. I chuckle just remembering it.

Well, I sympathize more with Barbara's side and with her reaction, arriving at her daughter's house and asking to see her daughter and being physically forbidden from even looking upon her, having the door locked in her face, Boyfriend Guy Whose Opinion No One Asked just telling her to go away ... I'd be quite suspicious, quite freaked out and quite not in no damn mood for Boyfriend Guy Whose Opinion No One Asked to tell me to leave my own daughter's house. Damn that was a disappointing hour.  It's obvious MTV told their hired monkey to keep it light this reunion, since he flat out refused to actually confront Leah or Jenelle about...ANYTHING, really.   Nathan actually looked like a whackjob, so while I appreciate him trying to "expose" Jenelle, he really only succeeded at making himself look like a jackass.  Seriously?  You're breaking into her apartment (he moved out months prior, so he can't really argue it's his house) at four in the morning?  That's creepy, dude.  Not as creepy as UNCLE CREEPY, but pretty damn creepy.  Speaking of Uncle Creepy, apparently "Dr." Drew got his marching orders to canonize him at this reunion.  I mean, he's a stabilizing force! Best thing since sliced bread! No issues with his behavior this season AT ALL!

At least Corey was able to impart a little reality into this alleged "reality" show.  I wish he had been a little more blunt with his criticisms, tho.  Maybe a little "well Drew, I didn't really see the point, since last season I got dumped on for actually trying to keep my daughter's safe from their drug addicted mother.  I understand you're just doing what the producers of the show are telling you to do, but considering you're putting yourself out there as a "therapist" I found it more than a little insulting."  Break that fourth wall, Corey!

And Leah, damn.  She looked tweaky as hell.  No amount of make-up is gonna hide that "rode hard and put away wet" look she's got going on.  That girl is gonna look 60 by the time she hits 30.

I have to disagree.  I think if Barbara was concerned about Jenelle's welfare, she could have demanded to see her (without yelling--yes, I can dream), and if she was refused, then call the cops herself.  Absolutely nothing good is going to come out of yet another Barbara-Jenelle-boyfriend altercation, especially when all four kids are standing there watching.

Tragically, it happens that I agree with both David and Drew on this:  People shouldn't be yelling like that in front of the kids.  Please don't ever let that happen again.  The yelling, or the agreeing.

I wasn't impressed with Barbara during this check-up show.  She defends yelling in front of the kids by saying, "They know I yell."  And she says she yells all the time because she's short and she wants people to hear her.  Hey, Barb--People can hear you when you're not yelling, but they don't listen because you never follow though with anything so it's all just noise to endure until things go back to the status quo.  It has nothing to do with not talking loud enough, and it definitely has nothing to do with being short.

And when she was crowing about everybody knowing who she is, it was not lost on me that this conversation started because THE POLICE know who she is ("When I go outside the cops are like, 'Hi, Barbara!'  'Hi!' Ha ha ha ha ha").  That is not something I would ever be proud of.

Y'all....I heard Leah say "girlses" not once, but twice!

I'm disappointed.  I thought she'd used girlses as the plural, and always thought it was hilarious.  But it's as the possessive, and that one is at least a little uncertain.  Like if you want to make Bess possessive--you wouldn't say "I have Bess book," what you would say would sound like "I have Besses book."

I know Leah is making a plural possessive, and you generally don't add an audible "es" on the end, but at least there's something she can hang her hat on there, unlike if she were saying the plural of "girl" as "girlses," as I originally thought.  But they will always be Leah and her girlses to me.

A couple of other observations:

Jenelle was against Jace taking medication because it's a controlled substance and she's worried about if "when he gets older if he's still on it, if, like, his friends are like 'oh let me get some of that' or somethin'."  Excellent reason to keep him off it when he's six and having trouble in school.

And this interchange between Drew and David was choice:

SP:  "Nathan said some pretty negative things about you, being I think an addict or not working, a whole litany of things.  Do you want to address that?"

David:  "That's all he ever says.  That's why I don't like him."

Silly me--I thought "addressing" that would include something like, say, rebutting those charges.  And of course Drew lets him off the hook.

And then, "I had custody of my son taken away when I was incarcerated."  I couldn't help but think of Anthony on Designing Women and his unfortunate incarceration.  And Drew actually asked him what his incarceration was for (!) and David said it was for "something completely different."  Uh, different from what?  Hey, Drew.  Ask him, "Different from what?"  Gah.

For real, out of all the arguments there are for or against putting a child on medication, Jenelle's was probably the dumbest I've ever heard.

I always knew she was using it as a plural possessive and not just a plural (that would have been especially dumb, if so), but it's still wrong and silly-sounding. For a regular plural word, the possessive sounds exactly the same as the plural itself. Girls and Girls' are both supposed to be pronounced "girls." To think it's pronounced the way a possessive sounds for a singular word or name that already ends with "s" like Chris or bus ("What is Chris's number?" or "What's the bus's schedule today?") is incorrect use of grammar, likely because the schools aren't well there.

I remember back in the Dark Ages it was a given that everyone's dad worked and was out of the house from morning 'til evening, M - F.

In Teen Mom Land, dads and their stand-ins seem to be at home 24/7.  Either that or MTV only films on weekends.

I could not agree more.  She arrives at her daughter's home, kids playing outside, unattended by any adult, that alone would require an immediate explanation from the "mother" of the year.

I watched this last night just in disbelief that NONE of the issues with this guy were addressed.  Hit your pregnant wife?  I'm sure it was someone else's fault.

I would have called the cops on him. So, I don't blame Barbara for getting all Barbarariffic in his face. Frankly she held back a lot more than I would have. And if, after getting in my face and refusing to let me see my own daughter in her own house, punk boy started threatening to call the police on me if I didn't leave ... girl, it's on.

When Barbara revealed that Jace does in fact have ADHD I was like, "Ha! Jenelle's 'well, my boyfriend says...' diagnosis was actually right!"

Of course he would. He can't feed into Leah's "Jeremy cares more about work than his family" seasons-long narrative otherwise.

While I agree with your personal feelings and would feel the same exact way in Barbara's shoes, what exactly would she say to the cops when she called them on David?  "Yeah, hi, I'm here at my daughter's house and she's in her bedroom and won't come out and her live in boyfriend is telling me to leave!"  That wouldn't go very well.  I think it was totally scummy for him to call the cops and reprehensible for Jenelle to allow it (instead of just poking her head out the door and telling her mom she was fine which was all she had to do to diffuse the entire situation but we all know Jenelle is addicted to the dramz so she would never do that) but Barb really did have zero standing in that situation.  She needed to lower her voice and calmly ask Jenelle to please confirm she's okay or she'd take Jace back home.

I also found it a little disturbing that she just laughed the whole thing off with a "my grandkids know I yell!"  Guess what Barb, THAT'S NOT HEALTHY.  That's why all three of your kids are fucked up beyond repair.

Good god. I can't with these people.

Yea, much better to be unemployed and racking up legal bills like repeat offender Adumb. (I know he has a job now, just saying.)  I wonder how many times Drew will act like Chelsea is being so mean to him next week?

I might have a damn rage stroke if he comes after Chelsea next week about Adumb.  Why is it he coddles all these mothers except the one who is actually doing a decent job raising her daughter?  He really does seem to have it out for Chelsea whereas every other mom gets the royal treatment from him.  It don't make no damn sense!

Not to mention the fact that she was all fired up because Jace and the little girl and Gabe were outside playing by themselves by the side of the dangerous road. I couldn't believe it when Drew said he supported that decision to call the police and good for Barb for saying, well I don't.

I also couldn't believe he never addressed the wheelchair. I am going to have to out myself on twitter as someone who watches this shit show and ask "Dr." Drew, What the fuck.

Sneak "peak" of Adam next week. Yep, he sounds like a changed man. Ha!! http://starcasm.net/archives/351838

Adam is a textbook narcissist. The moment you call them out on their lies and bullshit, they immediately go on the attack.

Every season he claims he's done with the show and every season he's back on. Adam knows damn well his personal trainer salary isn't going to keep him flush in steroids and douchey muscle cars.

Janelle really does like to throw jars at people. I will never forget the "that was my change jar Janelle!" Incident.

LMAO. Jenelle must play Team Fortress 2. My son does, and in that game you can do "Jarate" (Jar-based Karate), in which the weapon is a Mason jar full of piss that you get to throw at people! My kids think it's hilarious. Perhaps we shouldn't give Jenelle any ideas......

The police should only be called in a domestic situation when someone is being threatened or hurt or about to be hurt.  The police aren't on-call to referee family disagreements.  It was obnoxious to get police involved.  What if there was a real emergency going on and they didn't get there on time because David was so distraught about "his" kids hearing such horror.  And we know they have all heard and seen worse.  Barb doesn't have any coping skills but she was reacting to seeing Jace left alone and not being able to reach a his mother to find out what was going on.  Too bad if she yelled and brought up unpleasant things.

No, yelling is not good.   It is bad.  But it's unbelievable that the only thing Drew took a stand on was that Barb yells too much and so does Janelle.  Drew has nothing to say about the drugs, neglect, domestic violence, multiple partners, but damn if he is going to tolerate yelling!

ITA.

Not only that but if Mr. Pinsky watched the show, he'd know that Leah and Cory are NOT following doctor's orders about Ali and the wheelchair, and as a doctor himself, wouldn't he bring that up? I can't believe how much of a non-issue this is for all the people on this show. To me it's a big fucking deal! If your kid has a debilitating illness and you're told give them X pill or get the X therapy -- you would do it immediately, religiously, right? Why is this wheelchair thing seen as optional by everybody INCLUDING THE SO-CALLED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL overseeing this trainwreck? All I can figure is either Mr. Pinksky doesn't watch the show or he's a irresponsible moron.

SERIOUSLY. This is treated as an 'oh well' by the only 'medical professional' (I seriously hesitate to call him that) on this show, and it is straight up neglect on part of both of her parents. They OPENLY admitted to disobeying doctor's orders and think nothing of it. I know they're not bright, but I cannot imagine they are truly all that stupid that they don't know what they're doing is wrong. Right...?
